Back to school.

It was a week before school was in session again and Harry, Ron and Hermione were meeting at number 12 Grimmauld Place. Their plans were to go to Gringotts to get some money for their new school supplies the next day- but things never turn out as planned.

The next morning the trio woke up to a muggle radio alarm clock going off- to the sound of a Hillary Duff song of some sort. Although Harry, and Hermione were both accustomed to waking up this way- Ron was so alarmed by it that he shot straight out of bed, picked up his wand and blew the thing to bits…

Ron: "What in the bloody hell was that?"

Hermione: "Ron what do you think you're doing?"

Ron: "That- that contraption started singing horribly- it sounded like that time the fat lady was trying to show off her voice."

Harry: (sits up and groggily rubs his eyes) "Can you two keep it down- it's only 6:00."

Hermione: "We have to get ready to leave now Harry- you amaze me- how can anyone sleep through an alarm clock shattering to pieces 5 feet away from them…?"

Ron: "The same way we can sleep through you snoring like an elephant."

Hermione: "Very funny."

Ron: "Someone's not in a very joking mood."

Hermione: (picks up her wand and aims it at what used to be the alarm clock) "Reparo!"

Eventually the 3 of them stop bickering and go downstairs to eat breakfast.

Harry starts to make pancakes without using magic; Ron tries his luck at it, and then insists that it's impossible for any muggle to flip batter like that.

Harry then decided it was best to wait for another day to explain how they make pizza.

Halfway through breakfast, (after Ron discovers his love of Maple Syrup) Hagrid and Kingsley, (followed by Lupin and Tonks) enters the room.

Hagrid: "G'mornin to all of ye."

Kingsley: "We won't keep you long; we just need to know what route you're taking to Diagon Alley, so that we can shadow you."

Lupin: "Just taking the necessary proper precautions."

Ron: (with his mouth stuffed with pancake) "We'z goin rite fromz here to the Leaky Cauldron, thenz to Gringotts."

Hermione: "Try swallowing first, next time Ron."

Tonks: "When do you plan on leaving?"

Harry: "Right after Ron decides he's done eating."

Ron: "Where in Blue Blazes have pancakes been all of my life?"

Hermione: "At IHOP and McDonalds."

15 minutes later they were finally on their way.

Once at Gringotts, Harry and Ron took out their keys- while Hermione went to get a vault set up in her name.

Harry looked around and realized that the Goblins were in a state of near panic.

Harry asked the closest one what had happened and discovered that there had been a break in- and 2 of the High Security Vaults had been robbed.

Harry need not ask further to know that the Dark Lord himself was more than likely involved. (this is the part where eerie music would play) For all witches and wizards know Gringotts is the safest place to keep anything- especially now that Albus was gone, and Hogwarts was in need of a new Headmaster.

Now the new question was- What was in the vaults?...
