Duncan stood up. He squeezed Klaus's hand. He went out, leaving the couple alone.

"Sunset," said Klaus. "Be honest with me, please. Is there anyway we can break the demonic curse?"

Sunset shook her head. "Well, there is one, but only if you still want me. You have to give me a true love's kiss." she said. "I doubt you want me. You probably hate me."

Klaus grasped her claws. "I never hated you," he said gently. "I've been so insecure without you. I needed you, Sunset."

Sunset smiled. "Thanks," she said shyly. "That means a lot."

The door crashed open. "Vi!" cried Klaus. "What are you doing here?"

"Duncan told me everything," she said. "How your girlfriend kidnapped him, how she manipulated you into being with you-"

"Violet, that's a lie," he said. "Sunny never manipulated me. I was in love with her."

"Monster." muttered Violet.

"Vi, Sunset is not a monster," said Klaus.

Violet pulled out a knife from her pocket. "No!" he shouted. "Don't!"

Violet crept up behind Sunset, stabbing her in her abdomen from behind.

Sunset let out a howl of pain, as she fell to her knees, clutching the wound with both claws.
