Greg and Grissom walked side by side down towards the toxicology lab deeply engrossed in their latest case.
"Dr Robbins said that he couldn't determine cause of death." Greg relayed to his supervisor.
"And…..." Grissom questioned.
"And he said he sent a blood sample to the toxicology tech." Greg continued.
"And……" Grissom again questioned.
"And with the results we can …er… work out how she died." Greg said looking at his elder oddly.
"I know that Greg, I'm wondering why your talking to me when you could be getting the results from the tech." Grissom stated as if it was obvious what he had meant.
"I already have the results." Greg said waving a sheet of paper in his hands.
"Why couldn't you have just told me them then Greg?" Grissom asked looking at the younger CSI.
"I like talking with you. I always learn things when I talk to you. I can then tell people those things which makes myself seem very clever. Not that I am not clever anyway." Greg said with his trademark childish grin.
"Lovely Greg. The results?" Grissom asked dismissing the CSI's earlier comment.
"Oh right." Greg's grin disappeared and was replaced by a serious one. "The vic, still a Jane Doe, had too much ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid in her blood."
"Ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid?" Grissom repeated surprised.
"Yeah, try saying that when your drunk." Greg muttered.
"Greg." Grissom warned.
"Sorry."
