The Affair
This is a poem to consider
A small piece of thought
Of a woman and man
Who found what they had not
--Kizoku
This poem is a tale
Not a story, you see?
Of Sesshou-maru-kun
And Kagome-onee
He was said to have a heart
Merciless and cold
Yet it was to be melted
By a heart made of gold
She recognized this feeling
Felt it for someone she adored
But the man she once cherished
Had taken another before
From the night he first saw her
He had begun to transform
But alas, he found out
There was much left to learn
He had claimed not to have it
It was a weakness to him
But this is about now
And that was about then
She ignored it a while
It was a crazy thought at the most
Until the man she was with
Chose to follow a ghost
He then saw his window
And leapt at the chance
To be with this woman
With whom he was entranced
She was unsure at first
Of what his true intentions were
What could a cruel man like him,
Want with a kind girl like her?
She considered it revenge,
He thought it a game.
Though their opinions may differ,
They both felt the same.
She stayed with some friends,
He with some associates of his own.
But what had once been a spark
Into a fire, had grown
The signs were small
But they were there; it's true.
Be it a small kiss on the cheek
Or a quick 'aishiteru'
To protect one's pride,
Or maybe they're ashamed?
But one dare not say
The other's name
For what would they think?
What if everyone knew?
Of the passion they had?
How this relationship grew?
They may not admit it,
Their true feelings to us
But to me it's quite clear.
These two are in love.
