Disclaimer: I do not own LOTR.

Last to Sail
Standing on the seashore
Watching the last ship sail
The sea is calling to me
And telling me I've failed
The waves are rolling back now
The sea-wind blows and roars
The ship is far in the distance
And I can sail no more
Its flag is flying proudly
Its sails are pure and white
It gleams upon the water
As it passes out of sight
But I am standing on the coast
Yearning to be free
To stand upon the ship-deck
And sail upon the sea
This ship will sail on gracefully
Through dark and starlit night
Through waters gleaming turquoise
'neath sun and 'neath moonlight
But I will continue to stand alone
Upon this empty plain
Waiting for a ship to come
Knowing I wait in vain
Gulls call high above me
Mocking my wingless state
They can fly over the ocean
While I must accept my fate
The sun sets red-gold in the West
Sparkling over the sea
The last ship passes the horizon
Leaving behind only me.
