:Author's Note:

This poem is shounen-ai, however if you aren't into that sort of thing you can just remove one verse and pretend that this is about a brotherly love.

The poem below 'I only Scream at Twilight' is representative of Yugi's feelings after Yami goes to the afterlife. Imagine that they were in an open relationship with each other and were very much in love, when suddenly Yami upped and left to be in his own time, where he felt he belonged rather than with Yugi.

I wrote this poem myself and therefore own it. However I do not own Yu-Gi-Oh, though this poem could be applied to many a non-Yu-Gi-Oh related situation.

Right! Enough talking! Enjoy and please review, I'd like to know what you think of my attempt at poetry!

I only Scream at Twilight

I only scream at Twilight,

When the darkness kills the day,

He killed my sunny afternoon,

The day he went away.

I only scream at twilight,

When the sun sinks low and dies,

I've never been as low as this,

That's thanks to all the lies.

I only scream at twilight,

When the good times disappear.

I'm left alone in blackened space,

To shed a single tear.

I only scream at twilight,

When my heart slows down its beat,

My mind goes back but I forget,

Those times you swept me off my feet.

I only scream at twilight,

When I remember our first kiss,

Your tender lips pressed close to mine,

A sensation that I'll miss.

I only scream at twilight,

It only rips my heart,

To think that if you'd loved me,

You'd have never let this start.

I only scream at twilight,

And I don't do it anymore.

I used to scream my hopes out,

That you were coming back for sure.

I know now I was lonely,

I know that's how I'll stay,

You broke my heart, my soul, my hope,

The day you went away.
