Wuya threw the spell book against the wall, sending it to join others in a pile. Jack had been gone for just over a week now and her manor had fallen into a sorry state. She had gotten used to the boy keeping the place tidy. Perhaps she'd been a bit hasty in getting rid of the boy before finding a replacement. If she could get just one golem, it would make things so much easier.
She massaged her temples, groaning. She just needed a small breakthrough.
There was a noise, the subtle creak of a door coming from…Jack's room? Wuya frowned, starting toward it.
Jack sighed as he set his bag down on his bedroll, leaving the window open for Khaing to perch. It had been a long trip and he was exhausted. He yawned, opening his bag and pulled out the delicately wrapped bundle of Heylin flowers.
"Jack?!" Wuya voice was bewildered, her mind not yet understanding how or why. Jack turned to her, giving a nervous kind of smile as he held out the bundle.
"Wuya, uh, ma'am, I got the ingredient you requested!" Wuya blinked, looking down at the bundle of fabric Jack held out to her earnestly. The idiot boy had actually found some and somehow managed to survive that superstitious village? Quickly collecting herself, she took the bundle and unwrapped it. A small collection of Heylin flower sat in the center. This plant was supposed to be extinct and yet, her ward had managed to find some.
"…very well, Jack. You are behind on your duties. Clean this place up." She sharked before heading back to her workshop. Jack's smile faded, letting out a sigh. At least she hadn't seemed angry about how long he'd been gone.
"I'll get you something to eat when I come back." The red head said, stroking Khaing's head gently. She tilted her head, allowing the touch before Jack left the room to start his duties. Once the room was quiet, she settled in, preparing to observe everything.
