"Ok, so you'll send me an email with the prescriptions attached as soon as you get the results, then?", Naruko asked her doctor over her phone.
Sasuke and Hinata were able to listen to his voice because she put her phone on speaker.
"That's right. It should be a matter of a few days. Tomorrow or the day after, latest.",
The doctor replied.
"Thank you, Kabuto", Naruko said as she was prepared to finish the call.
But, her doctor had somethings to say to her.
"No problem. Just remember next time you tell me you put your phone on speaker or not...It's your personal information after all.", Naruko's expression could only be described in one word: oops.
"My bad. I needed my hands free.", she replied and was technically honest as she quietly took her cup of tea and started adding sugar on it.
"Be careful next time.", Kabuto added as they finished the call with the usual goodbyes.
"Well, I've done my part. I told you it was too soon.", Naruko told her friends as she started drinking.
She called her doctor because Sasuke was trying to convince her to either go back home or at least starting taking medicines.
"Are you sure you want to keep going with this trip?", Sasuke asked her while looking on his phone.
"Of course. It's not a road trip if we just spend a weekend in a cottage.", Naruko pointed out.
"What was the name of your doctor again? Kabuto...", Sasuke asked as he was looking on internet about him.

"Are you sure, Naruko? You still have to tell your mother after all.", Hinata asked taking the conversation again to the main topic.
"Well...I still wanna wait the results before calling her… It's still not easy.", Naruko admitted her difficulty to talk about her condition to others.
Sasuke kept looking at his phone and notice Naruko observing him.
" If you have anything to ask me, ask away…", Naruko told him.
"The thing is, you already said that the margin of error was 5%, right? Why wasting time if it could make the difference?" Sasuke questioned her doctor's decision to postpone the prescriptions.
"Well…I don't know...Maybe I was shocked when he gave me the first results, so I don't remember everything he said at that time...or maybe...I think he said something like it's the standard procedure to make a second test and then start the treatment only after he gets the second test results…Also, we are talking about medicines, not candies. Antibiotics shouldn't be given carelessly.", Naruko replied to him with a shrug.
Sasuke mentally noted her arguments.
"You should still be the first of us who wants to go back.", Hinata stated as she was still a bit worried about Naruko's lack of concern.
"No? I still want to enjoy this trip like I don't have any sort of chain blocking me. I still want to have a taste of pure freedom.", Naruko insisted not wanting to return home early.
"Well...I don't know how much freedom you're going to experience for the rest of this journey...we still have to get closer to a city or a pharmacy at least. I got 10 days for this summer break, for example…", Sasuke stated to confront her ideal of freedom and started listing every practical limit of such notion.
"Ok, ok. I won't experience 100% freedom.", Naruko pouted. " But I still want to see unknown places, or try things I never heard of. There are things that you'll never get to know until they appear in front of you.", She settled down with her thoughts before giving an example of what she meant.

Sasuke felt like they were arguing like they always had, without any impending death on her mind and without any second plan behind her words. Then he noticed Hinata, lost in her thoughts.
"You want to keep going the journey, right, Hinata?", He guessed to which Hinata nodded in acceptance.
Naruko dropped her arms on the table in disbelief at what she saw.

Now that you want to start the therapy… I might need to take a few more days off...Just to not look as a spoiled brat.", Sasuke wanted to explain, but Hinata did it instead. Naruko nodded with a bit of sadness at remembering that.
"I know it might not sound honest from me, but...I feel sorry for what happened. He's still your father...Your family... He cares about you...in his own way.", Sasuke apologized to her.
"I'm sorry as well, Hinata. Sasuke at least stood up for you...I didn't know what to say.", Naruko apologized as well.
"It's OK...Thank you.", Hinata pressed the 'OK' as she wanted to change the subject.
"Well...I guess we'll keep going then, directed to the closest city. I need to make a call and start packing things up. You should take your staff as well.", Sasuke resumed and started leaving the room, but Naruko stopped him with a silly question.

Naruko was getting more curious, but Sasuke wasn't in the good mood to tell a story.
He explained briefly, "I don't want to ruin our friendship in any way. And getting more intimate is a risk I don't want to take. That includes either each and both of you at the same time. "Sorry...Yep, it's approved. Here's your tickets…", the cashier said as he gave the tickets to them and passed on the next person in the queue.
Naruko devilishy smiled at him and said, "I heard everything…".
"Don't you dare…", Sasuke jokingly threatened her, hoping to avoid any request of explanation from Hinata.
"WHY...DON'T YOU...GO...AND...FUCK...YOUR-SELF…", Hinata shouted as she went already far ahead of them, shouting in rage while playing with a whack a mole arcade. Her reaction was comprehensible, since her father managed to block her card, yet Naruko gulped in fear as if she was responsible of her anger.
"Remember me to never piss her off…", She said to Sasuke.
"...Same for me.", He commented.
"Huuuh… That was refreshing. Sorry guys, I just...needed to do it.", Hinata exclaimed as she left the arcade with evident signs of too much forced on certain points.
"No problem!", Sasuke and Naruko replied in unison.
"I'm sorry...I only have cash now and...it's frustrating.", Hinata admitted.
"Don't worry, Hinata. We'll keep the bills and split everything later. Keep you cash for emergencies, ok?", Naruko repeated what she said before to reassure her. Hinata nodded at that.
"Want try them out, Hinata?",
Sasuke said as he pointed to other games that required the use or raw strength.
"Why don't we make a bet?", Naruko proposed but Sasuke shook his head as he already guessed what they were going to bet.
"No more dares…", he said.
"Oh, Sasuke that's not funny! Let's make a small bet, come on…", Hinata whined as a spoiled brat as she bounced her chest very suggestively.
Sasuke looked with pleasure, but he closed his eyes swiftly, "Well...as long as it's nothing sexual...The winner will chose a game that the loser has to play...how about it?".

"Bring it!", Sasuke stretched his arms accepting the challenge.

"What's next?", Sasuke smiled ready for another game.

"Wait what?" Naruko tried to get distant, but she was still hugging her tightly.

Then they followed Sasuke, who moved ahead towards a shooting gallery, completely ignoring their little act.
Time flies when you're having fun
Naruko and Hinata enjoyed playing in many stands of any kind. The only thing they had in common was a guaranteed prize and some gadget of Naruko's favourite visual novel: Kitsupara.
Evertime Naruko saw a nine-tailed fox plushie or anything related to it, she insisted to stop and give a try.
Hinata refused to play since she needed to save her cash and she didn't want for her girlfriend to offer money for something trivial.
She only accepted Naruko's offer once, when she pointed at a few peculiar prizes and whispered to her ear a few ideas with those.
Naruko was in the end lucky to get a plushie of a nine tailed fox, alongside bags full of other things they won in the meantime.
Sasuke was instead interested in shooting galleries, since he got some training for his work.
Even if he won some prizes he refused to take any, much to Naruko's disappointment.
"You could've at least taken the Fox plushie, Sasuke.", Naruko pouted.
"It would never fit in the car, it's almost human size… I don't even know if we can get all your stuff in the car as well.", Sasuke was pointing at the bags Hinata and Naruko were holding.
"Hey, I won them fair and square and I won't leave this place without them.", Naruko got defensive.
"Ok, but please stop getting any more prizes...", Sasuke took their bags ready to deposit them to his car.
"Where do we meet?", He asked to the girls.
"I wanted to bring Hinata to the horror house over there, see you later.", Naruko pointed at their meeting point.
Sasuke nodded as he left the two alone to their screaming time.

Naruko kissed her to her confession, "Well, I've got scared as well.".
"Really? When? I didn't notice.", Hinata asked curiously.
"Well the first time I heard the pendulum ticking my heart almost stopped there, but then they continued with it and I was like 'seriously wtf stop with the clock already''.
Naruko stopped as she saw her girlfriend with a serious expression. "What?", She asked.
"Naruko… There was only one time they were having the clock...Just once...at the beginning.", Hinata explained coldly.
"That not true, it kept ticking like every few minutes or so…", Naruko said denying.
"Naruko...It's not funny.", Hinata thought she was joking.
"No, I'm serious. Here, now...Can you hear it now? I can still cleary hear it even if we're outside.", Naruko pointed at the horror house in front of them.
Hinata shook her head. Even if they were close to it, there were lots of people and noise that it would've been impossible to hear it.
"Oh come on, Hinata. You must be joking, right?", It was this time Naruko who was thinking she was getting pranked.
"Hey, you two", She called at two boys in the other bench close to theirs.
"Can you hear a ticking noise? Like a clock with a pendulum?", She asked them.
They shook their head in denial while looking weirdly at her.
Hinata intervened, "Don't worry, she was joking." then she took her to another bench more distant to the boys and the horror house. The two children shrugged thinking that maybe they were looking for their phone or something.
"Naruko...I'm serious. Are you really… REALLY still hearing that noise?", Hinata asked seriously this time.
Naruko was still processing the glances of the boys looking at her. She understood they weren't joking, but she wasn't either.
"I...I think I'll go to the toilet.", Naruko started running, followed by Hinata calling her. She kept running until she found one and started washing her face.
Hinata found her wiping her wet face. She called her, but she turned her back on her while getting herself on a corner.
Hinata got closer, "Naruko…".
Her breathing was shaking, "Hinata...I can still hear it.".
Noticing she was on the verge of tears, Hinata took a tissue for her, "It's...It's Ok…".
"No, No. It's not Ok. It's not Ok at all...I heard it clearly like your voice...And I still hear it. It's not stopping either.", She was panicking.
"Naruko, please calm down...You're making it worse.", Hinata took her hands but Naruko freed them from her gentle holding as she covered her ears.

The few other women present tried to ignore the two of them and get out as fast as they could.
"Shit...First I get the tumor, now I'm losing my head.", Naruko was in the verge of tears and started sniffing.
