In another life, Rock Lee would challenge Sasuke to a fight, and overwhelm team seven with his sudden crush on Sakura Haruno; pledging to protect her with his life. In this life, however no such pink-haired teammate was there to dodge Lee's air kiss attacks. Instead, Shikaoi Nara was the third member of team seven, and he was decidedly not the pink-haired kunoichi; which was both a good thing and not. Good because thanks to Shikaoi, Naruto and Sasuke are aware of the fact that drawing attention to themselves would be, to put it mildly, bad. On the other hand, Lee's crush on Sakura might have contributed to the original team seven's rescue in the other timeline; however, this team seven was definitely more prepared.
The three genin members of team seven made their way to the exam room not even sparing the genjutsued floor a glance. Sasuke dutifully did not point out the genjutsu as his alternate counterpart had, but instead dragged his two (slightly) younger teammates past the crowd of chunin hopefuls. Naruto remained uncharacteristically quiet, eyes anxiously darting across the crowd as they passed; practically vibrating in his excitement and nerves. Shikaoi was experiencing his own feelings of anticipation as he and his teammates found themselves in a room of rowdy genin.
