9AN - Naruto uses the rinnegan right now quite frequently. However, things will change before shippuden. I do plan on having Naruto learn about Kurama soon. He will be leaning towards the Wood style along with a few of the other elements. Just be patient and things will get better, I promise.

Ninja Hospital

Naruto was laying in the hospital bed as he glared at the ceiling. While he knew the hokage hid some things from him and wasn't always honest, Naruto couldn't deny that he was like a grandfather to him. "Curse you, old man... Why did you have to die on me like that?" Naruto asked himself.

As the blond looked out the window, he saw the construction taking place. He glared at each of the civilians. "How dare they... How dare they act like they care for this village." Naruto muttered under his breath before he laid himself back.

"You truly are pathetic." said a dark and demonic voice in the back of his head.

"Huh? Who is there? Who are you?" Naruto called out as he looked around to find where the voice is coming.

"You idiot, don't talk outloud. People will think you're crazy. Close your eyes and clear your mind. You'll be transported to your mind scape." said the dark voice.

Naruto did as he was told and whene his eyes opened, he found himself standing before a massive cage and a gigantic orange fox with nine tails thrashing around. "Where the hell am I?" Naruto asked as he was startled by the fox.

"Haha... You mortals certainly aren't the brightest species. I'm the Kyuubi no Kitsune, the demon that caused chaos and destruction to Konoha many years ago." the voice of Kyuubi said in its sinister-like tone.

"Wait a minute, you're the nine tails?" Naruto asked.

"What gave it away? Was it me being a gigantic fox or was it my nine tails?" asked the Kyuubi with sarcasam in his tone.

"Why are you here?" asked Naruto.

"Many years ago, during my rampage on Konoha. I was under the control of a particular Uchiha... Don't get me wrong, I hate mortals with a burning passion, but I had no desire to crush your village. Of course, when your parents sealed me away, I did everything I could to prevent it." Kyuubi explained.

"Who was it? Who controlled you?" Naruto asked.

"He went by the name, Madara Uchiha. He's known as the man in the mask. He's the one responsible for your life turning out this way." Kyuubi said.

Naruto was stunned at this revelation. "Where is he? I'll kill him! I'll make him feel pain!" Naruto shouted.

"If only it were that easy. As of right now, you're too weak. You need to become stronger. I've actually come up with an interesting idea. Though, I don't know how you will take it." Kyuubi said to his Jinchuriki.

"What is your idea?" NAruto asked hesitantly.

"Leave this village. There are many out there that would give you knowledge, guidance, everything you need to obtain the power needed for vengence. You won't get that here in the village." The giants fox declared.

Naruto gazed at the fox. "Yeah, right. No thanks. I'm not falling for that. I won't abandon Suki, she's the only one I've got left. You may have tricked anyone else, but I refuse to sink that low!" Naruto roared.

"You'll see. Things aren't always as they appear." Kyuubi said before NAruto was sent back to reality. As he looked around, he saw Jiraiya, Kakashi, and Suki standing around.

"Pervery Sage? Kakashi sensei? Suki? What are you guys doing here?" Naruto asked.

"We've come to check on you and see how you're feeling." Jiraiya said with a smirk as he sat in the window.

"Naruto, that was impressive. You managed to stop the Ichibi all by yourself. Not many people can fight a tailed beast and tell the tale of it, much less returning alive." Kakashi said with his one eye smile. That was when the memory of the hokage's death flashed before Naruto's eyes.

"Grandpa... He's really dead?" asked Naruto.

Jiraiya sighed. "I know it's hard, kid. But that's the life of a hokage. You must be willing to throw your life out on the line at all costs. Now, we've got some important business to discuss." Jiraiya said as he created a privacy barrier along with placing a silencing seal around the room.

"You and Suki are going to join me on a small trip. This is an S rank mission. Our objective is to locate Tsunade Senju and convince her to become the fifth hokage." The Toad sage declared.

"Really? When do we leave?" Naruto asked.

"Depending on how quickly you heal, we'll leave instantly. I'm thinking we will leave in about three days. I'll also be training the two of you." Jiraiya said.

"Oh, and before I forgot. Congratulations on your performance in the chunin exams. When Tsunade returns, she'll review everything and give the proper details on who is promoted." Kakashi explained.

Naruto looked down. "It doesn't matter." The blond said.

"What are you talking about?" Suki asked as she walked over to her boyfriend.

"We're going to put some new person that wasn't around to witness anything? Sure, there may be notes. But the only people who should be allowed to put there votes in, are the ones that were fighting in the invasion. What, Mebuki Haruno is going to say that the demon tried attacking? It was all Suki and the others who actually saved the day. I'm pretty sure the council will go along with them. I don't care anymore about a promotion. I just assume stay a genin. At least nobody can take that rank from me." Naruto said as he let out a growl.

"Naruto, why would you think they'd do that?" asked Jiraiya.

"Don't play stupid with me. Everyone here knows I'm the Jinchuriki of the Kyuubi no Kitsune. I just recently found out. So many things are making sense now. I can't believe I didn't see it." Naruto said in annoyance.

"Relax, Gaki. Tsunade may become the new hokage but we're not just going off of what the notes say. Both Kakashi and I will play a big role into giving promotions. Along with Anko and Ibiki. From the reports, I don't think you'll have to worry about this." Jiraiya said with a smile.

Naruto nodded. "I'm feeling fine, let's go." Naruto said.

"No, sorry kid. I want to wait at least three days. I have to get some things in order before we leave. Suki, I trust you will keep him here?" asked the toad sage.

Suki nodded. "Yes, Lord Jiraiya." Suki said and KAkashi and Jiraiya left the hospital room. "Naruto, how are you feeling?" asked Suki.

Naruto looked up at Suki. "How am I feeling? I feel great! Happier than ever! I found out that I really am a demon. I also found out that the only person who gave a damn about me in this village is dead! Tell me, how the hell am I suppose to feel!" Naruto shouted as the tears ran down his face.

Suki remained silent as she pulled Naruto into a tight embrace. "It's unfair! How come everything has to happen to me? I don't have parents, I don't have friends, I have nothing!" Naruto cried out.

Suki rubbed the back of his head as she tried to calm him down. "It's alright, Naruto. You have me. I know things are hard, but remember. We're in this together. No matter what, I won' abandon you." Suki said as she hugged him tightly.

Outside the Village

"Seems Konoha has suffered a great deal from Orochimaru." said a man with light skin, black hair, wearing a set of black robes that had white clouds on them. His face and head was covered from the straw hat and white blinds around them.

"Sounds like you're missing home. Don't tell me you're still attached to this village." said a much taller man dressed the same with exception of having a massive sword on his back with blue skin.

"No... Not one bit. Come on. We need to find the Jinchuriki of the Kyuubi no Kitsune." said the shorter man as they proceeded forward.

With Naruto, Jiraiya, and Suki

"Alright, Gakis. Our objective is simple, we locate Tsunade and bring her back to the village." said Jiraiya with determination.

"Do you have a photo of her?" Naruto asked.

"Yes, here you go." Jiraiya said as he handed the blond a photo of his former teammate.

"Huh? I should have been more specific. This photo shows her like thirty years younger. I need something that's a bit more recent. It will be easier." Naruto pointed out.

Jiraiya chuckled. "That's the thing, kid. Tsunade uses a special jutsu that allows her to maintain a much younger appearance. Its what has helped her avoid many debt collectors and assassins." explained the toad sage.

"Alright, well, it's time to go find Konoha's fifth hokage." Naruto said.

The three had begun walking for a few hours. They remained for the most part, quiet, until Suki decided to speak up. "Lord Jiraiya, are you going to be teaching us anything?" asked Suki with a raised eyebrow.

"Yes. I do plan on training the two of you. I have a special jutsu for Naruto and you. These will compliment your nature affinities. I also plan on helping Naruto control some of Kyuubi's chakra." The toad sage.

"Huh? Do you really think you can help me control his power?" NAruto asked.

"That's right. Your mother of a Jinchuriki. Not that she needed to use his power, but she often used it at times and it came in handy." Jiraiya explained.

"What's this jutsu you are going to teach us?" Suki asked.

"The fourth hokage developed a jutsu known as the rasengan. The base form of it is pure chakra. He was never able to make it passed that level. I'm hoping that you can mix your lightning with it and Naruto is able to merge his wind with it." Jiraiya explained.

"But I have the chidori. Why do I need this?" asked Suki.

Jiraiya chuckled. "Little girl, where do you think Kakashi got the chidori from? He wasn't able to properly mix his lightning chakra with it. Anyway, the rasengan is considered to be the most destructive form of chakra." Jiraiya said.

Naruto holds his hand out and creates the Swift Release - Flashing Sphere. "Um, Pervy Sage. I don't think I need any help." Naruto said.

Jiraiya stopped. His arm was extended as he formed a ball of chakra. "Naruto, clash your jutsu against mine. Show me what the power of the rinnegan has given you." Jiraiya ordered. Naruto gave a nod and charged at his father's former sensei. In that moment, and massive explosion occured and Naruto was sent flying away.

"As you can see, your advanced elemental jutsu is nowhere near the power of the rasengan." Jiraiya explained at the blond haired boy.

"Man, I had no idea. Okay, let's start!" Naruto said with a determined smirk.

"We'll have to wait till we get into the first town." Jiraiya said as he resumed walking.

"Why? Why can't we do it now?" Naruto asked.

"Because, we'll need some tools if you two wish to begin the training. If you both want to get a head start, take your kunai and try to make it float in your hand. This will help you get a better control on your chakra, in turn, the rasengan will be slightly easier for you two to learn." The toad sage explained.

"Hey, Suki? Can I borrow a kunai?" Naruto asked sheepishly. Suki sighed and tossed her blond lover a kunai and they began to work on their chakra control in silence.

Unknown location

The two cloaked men were walking through the village. As they passed up many of the shops, they quickly found the apartment of Naruto. Since nobody was aware of Naruto living with Suki, it was assumed that he lived in his apartment. The two men were shocked to see the blond's apartment.

"Well, I'd say this boy is hated in his village more than you are. Haha, ain't that something?" the blue skinned man asked with a chuckle.

"How pathetic. Come, I know of another place he may be." said the shorter man.

Suddenly, two jonin stood before the two cloaked men. "You two aren't from around here, are you?" asked Asuma Sarutobi.

"Asuma, Kurenai... Its been a long time." said the shorter man in a calm town.

"You know our names, you must be a former shinobi of Konohagakure." said Asuma as he drew his two chakra blades.

In that moment, the shorter man removed his straw hat, he began to unbutton his cloak as he placed his left hand over the final button that held the cloak together. The taller man did the came with the exception of opening his cloak. He drew hia sword out and removed his hat.

"Well, look what we have here. Itachi Uchiha, aka, clan killer Itachi." Asuma said.

"I'm not looking for a fight. Don't make me kill you." Itachi said in a calm tone.

"That's funny, coming from the man that slaughtered his entire clan. I will say, it takes guts for you to show your face around here." Asuma said with a smirk.

"Well, looks like they hate you in this village as much as I'm hated in mine." the blue skinned man said as he revealed his razor sharp teeth.

"I know who you are. You're Kisame Hoshigaki. Wanted for the assassination of the Water Damiyo." Kurenai said.

"You two are S rank missing ninja. We're going to eliminate you now." Asuma said as he activated his wind chakra to his blades.

"Kisame, we need to make this quick." Itachi said as he gazed at Kurenai. Kisame drew his blade and prepared to engage Asuma in battle.

Kurenai Vs Itachi

"You must know what they call me. Konoha's Genjutsu queen. You won't escape this battle." Kurenai said as she went through a series of hand seals. Multiple tree branches appeared from the ground and began to wrap the Uchiha against a massive tree.

The older Uchiha looked uninterested. Kurenai's body appeared out of the tree as she was about to end Itachi's life. "Kurenai, that level of genjutsu doesn't work on me." Itachi said as he suddenly reversed the genjutsu.

Kurenai was shocked to find herself against the tree with Itachi standing across from her. "Genjutsu reversal?" Kurenai thought.

"You putting me inside a genjutsu is the same as trying to drown Kisame. It's over." Itachi said in his calm tone as he proceeded to end Kurenai. She quickly bit her tongue and was able to break free of the genjutsu. As Itachi slashed at her, the crimson eyed jonin quickly evaded the attack.

Asuma Vs Kisame

Asuma's chakra blades were clashing against Kisame's shark skin sword. The son of the third hokage learned quickly that the shark skin wasn't a normal sword. When Kisame clashed his sword against Auma's blade, the sword extended itself and cut through Asuma's shoulder. Not only did he receive a massive injury, but he also found some of his chakra being absorbed.

"Damn... No wonder he's known as the tailed beast without a tail." Asuma muttered.

"Haha, this is pretty fun. It looks like Konoha isn't as weak as the rumors. Especially since the old man kicked the bucket." Kisame said with a sinister chuckle.

"Wind Release - Dust Storm Jutsu!" Asuma shouted as a massive wave of dust particles escaped from his mouth. Kisame saw this and smirked. He brought his sword up to cover his body against the jutsu. While his robes were cut up, the sword seemed to be unaffected.

"Not bad. My turn. Water Release - Water Shark Bomb!" Kisame shouted.

"Earth Release - Mud Wall!" Shouted a familiar shinobi as a massive wall of mud appeared and stopped the shark from attacking.

"Kakashi? What are you doing here? Not that I'm not happy to see you." Asuma said.

"I felt two powerful chakra signatures along with the sharingan. It was strange due to the only other sharingan user is out of the village." Kakashi said.

Itachi appeared next to Kisame. "Kakashi... Its been sometime." Itachi said.

"Kakashi? Why are you here?" Kurenai asked.

"I figured you two could use the help." Kakashi said as he drew up a kunai. "You two be careful... Kisame is a monster that can go head to head with a tailed beast. Itachi is no pushover either, he was captain of the anbu black ops at the age of thirteen." the masked hair ninja said.

"We get it, they are powerful." Asuma said with slight annoyance.

"Powerful is an understatement." Kakashi said.

"Kakashi of the sharingan. You've done well in mastering the Uchiha clan's powerful bloodline. However, you lack the stamina required to use its full abilities." Itachi said as his three tomo sharingan began to morph into another pattern, with three ends sticking out.

Kakashi's sharingan eye opened wide. "Asuma, Kurenai! Close your eyes, don't open them!" Kakahsi shouted. The two jonin did as they were told as Kakashi found himself in a strange world. The sky was red and the air was black with the figures of both him and Itachi being white. Kakashi found himself being on a wooden cross with his arms out and his feet together.

"This is the world of the Tsukuyomi. Three days inside of here will equal to a second outside in the real world." Itachi said as he drew a sword and pierced Kakashi in his stomach.

Kakashi let out a scream. "Calm down... This is just genjutsu." Kakashi told himself.

"Tell yourself that." Itachi said as another form of the rogue Uchiha appeared. they both struck Kakashi in his stomach. With each stab from the clones of Itachi, another clone would appear. After four clones were summoned, another copy of Kakashi, being crucified was circled around with another set of Itachi's stabbing him.

"I don't know how long I can take this!" Kakashi thought as he felt that multiple stab wounds going through his body.
