Note: Okay, well this started out as just a sketch...then an oekaki drawing...well then came along this. I love nature and the concept of the four elements and balance. So I wrote this, explaining the Avatar world, and how the war started, in the eyes of larger forces than Fire Lord Sozin. I hope you like it! PLEASE review!
Balance
Harmony and balance; two themes that truly seemed to rule the world. Four nations, four elements, bound together. Peace and tranquility were immense. And war scarcely existed. Love flourished and conflicts only brought together the family of balance and made it stronger. Equality ruled all.
The four elements, the team of life, worked together to bring this Earth alive. Water, smooth, caring, and enduring leveled out the driven, all-consuming rage of fire. Air, with its carefree, nimble, and harmonious style lightened the course outlook of the grounded, strong will of earth. All in perfect balance, there was nothing the world could not withstand with this perfectly equal embrace.
And yet evolution and change occurred. Fire became over-determined and desirable. Earth became stubborn and single-minded. Air let go of outer worldly troubles. Water did its best to sooth the tension and separation, but nothing could stop this.
Years progressed, and the four elements, the four nations became not a complete world, but a divided kingdom. Finally after centuries, a war broke out, and the once overwhelming balance no longer existed. The avatar, keeper of peace, vanished. There was no hope, no faith; no balance.
