A/N: Just a short oneshot about Daine's kids. I just really liked this idea. Please R&R!

"Ma!" Sarralyn Salmalin whined, rolling her eyes. "I told you, I don't want to."

The woman standing in front of her raised her eyebrows, "And I told you, you need to learn to control your powers!" Though she looked angry, her gray eyes shone with amusement, her smoky brown curls falling over her shoulders.

"But Ma!" Sarralyn cried, anger filling her voice, "I can control my powers! I don't need to meditate!"

Rikash, who meditated a little bit away, opened an eye and let out a peel of laughter. "You? Control your power? Ha!"

Sarralyn's rage bubbled. She hated when people laughed at her, especially her annoying ten-year-old brother. Besides, she really could control her power! Just when Sarralyn's blood started to boil, there was a pop, and a cloud of dust billowed up.

Even Daine had trouble controlling her laughter when the dust cleared. Instead of the twelve year old girl who had been there before there was now a very angry, chirping squirrel. A very angry lavender squirrel. Rikash now had both eyes open and was rolling on the ground in laughter. Daine was hard pressed not to join him, however she stayed on her feet.

"Sarra, dear, I'm afraid I can't help." The woman said, a slight tremble in her voice, "You're just going to have to calm down…"

The squirrel made a sound very near a sigh and then plopped down on the ground. If anything, the sight of the lavender squirrel sitting with her legs crossed and eyes closed was even funnier. Rikash surely thought so. Slowly, the squirrel faded and in its stead left a small girl with only a slight lavender tinge to her creamy skin, brown hair and blue eyes Oh, and a bushy lavender tail.

Daine hid a smirk, and sat down to reign in her own powers as Sarra steadly lost the purplish-pink shade. It was a while before she could calm herself though. Just because she wasn't laughing openly did not mean she didn't find the situation hilarious as she always did when Sarra took a slightly unconventional shape.

Things certainly are more interesting with children, Daine thought as Rikash sneezed and a magnificent set of elephant ears erupted from his head. As Daine sighed to herself, Sarra dissolved in giggles. This would be a long day.
