Yugi was shuffling through his deck; at the same time, he was thinking about both his mother and grandfather and the lessons they had taught him along with Tea.
'This is it. Just me and the deck grandpa gave against Pegasus.' Yugi thought he knew that it had to be either him or Tea who would have to face Pegasus, and now it was down to him to save both the souls of his mother and grandfather and those of the Kaiba Brothers. 'Pegasus may have captured their souls, but his and mom's hearts are beside me in these cards.'
Yugi was breaking out of his thoughts by feeling a hand on his shoulder; looking over, he saw it was Tea. "Tea, you need something?" Yugi asked.
"I just wanted to tell you good luck." Tea said before closing her eyes and smiling, "It's amazing how far we have come since we came here, right?"
"Yeah, honestly, if I were told a month ago we would make it to the finals of a tournament run by Maximilian Pegasus, I was going to duel Pegasus himself. I don't think I would believe it," Yugi said to her with a smile before switching over to a more serious look before continuing. "This duel is going to decide the fate of so many," Yugi said, knowing the outcome of this Duel would determine the fate of the trapped souls.
Tea could see the pressure Yugi was putting on himself to win. "Yugi, don't overthink it. You can win cause you have something Pegasus doesn't. You have our friends and me, along with a belief in the heart of the cards as long as you remember that you cannot lose."
Yugi couldn't help but feel moved by Tea word's feeling of the pressure being lifted off him. "Thanks, Tea, I needed that." Yugi smiled before looking at the ceiling. "You remember gramps and mom telling us about duel monsters?"
"Yeah, they taught us everything, the rules, strategies, and something that you can't learn in any book." Tea said.
Yugi nodded as he remembered those words that his grandpa and mother taught them and one lesson precisely.
Flashback
In the Kame Game shop Yugi, Tea stood in front of the counter with Solomon and Kikyo standing behind it.
"If you two only remember one thing we teach you to remember, you must never lose faith in yourself. If you don't believe you can win, then you'll suffer defeat not only in duel monsters but in life." the two nodded, hearing Solomon's words.
"Believe us, that advice is more important than any card in the game," Kikyo said before smiling. "And believe me, that's something that both I and Daisuke took to heart and that you have each other to help you if you feel lost. Remember that our hearts are always in the cards."
End of Flashback
"And their hearts are in these cards, and I'll use them to beat Pegasus," Yugi said, holding his deck in his hand.
"Yugi, here." Tea said, handing him a card.
Yugi looked at the card and saw it was Seiyaryu. "Seiyaryu? You're giving me your card?"
"Yugi, Pegasus, for this whole competition, has been trying to divide us to weaken us 'cause he knows that together we are powerful. With Seiyaryu, it'll be like my heart will be in your deck too, and together we will defeat Pegasus, save those souls, and end his plans." Tea told him as she spoke passionately as she got closer to him.
"You're right, Tea. Together we will end this!" Yugi said as he removed one of his cards from his deck and put in Seiyaryu to take its place.
But the two didn't notice the door open. "Are we interrupting something?" Joey asked with a cheeky smirk, with the others having similar grimaces.
Yugi and Tea blushed but then turned away from each other. "No, we were just talking about the duel." Tea answered in a sheepish tone.
"Anyway, what are you guys doing here?" Yugi asked while trying to hide his blushing face.
"We just wanted to wish you well," Tristan said.
"You are the best." Yugi smiled happily.
"You finally made it, Yugi. You're going all the way." Joey said.
"Once you win, we will see your grandpa and Kikyo back home," Sonia added.
Yugi nodded before Croquet spoke up. "The time has come. Would Yugi Muto, the challenger, please enter the duel ring? Mr. Pegasus awaits you."
"Go get him, Yuge." Joey encouraged him.
Yugi nodded, his eyes full of determination; he turned to Tea, who nodded. Suddenly the Millennium Puzzle began to glow. "Yu-Gi-Oh!" Yugi shouted as he transformed, and in his place was Yami Yugi. With that, the millennium Puzzle releases its energy that cocoons him as it changes his body as their two souls become one. Then power returns to the millennium puzzle revealing Yami Yugi.
Yami Yugi began to walk towards the arena; Tea just looked at him, unaware that her Millennium Star was glowing, before whispering. "Good luck, Yami." she whispered, the thoughts of Hikari Tea going through her head as the rest of their friends cheered Yugi on to beat Pegasus.
Yami Yugi walked up to the blue console with his friends watching him.
"He looks so determined," Sonia said.
"Yugi, take him down," Tristan told him.
"Put that slim bucket in his place," Joey called out.
"Give it all you got, Yugi, for Kikyo, Solomon, and the Kaiba Brothers." Tea said in a soft voice; this was it. Yugi and Pegasus were finally going to duel, and she would place all her faith in him to win.
"The challenger has entered the arena, and now for your dueling pleasure, Castle Pegasus is proud to present the creator of Duel Monsters and all the wondrous cards," Croquet said, hyping up Pegasus.
'And the thief of my mother and grandfather's souls.' Yami Yugi thought.
"The undefeated and undisputed ruler of Duelist Kingdom Maximillion Pegasus," Croquet announced as Pegasus finally appeared in front of the dueling arena with two of his goons beside him.
'This is it; I finally face Pegasus. It'll take all of my mother and grandfather's knowledge and the strength of the cards. I put my faith in the power of my cards.' Yami Yugi thought.
Pegasus lifts one of his fingers, signaling to one of the goons to come closer. In his hands is a pillow with a deck on top of it, which Pegasus takes.
"So Yugi-Boy, you turned out to be quite the duelist, battling your way through the tournament. You are so much like your mother when she entered my tournament years ago; the only thing I found disappointing is that we didn't get to see you face off against Tea-girl, who had the same level of skill as you, given the fact your mother trained her should be no surprise. I guess you could argue the fact that you are the one facing me. You were the Superior duelist." Pegasus said in an obnoxious tone.
Tea just glared at Pegasus for that comment. ''If I were dueling you right now, I'll make you regret saying that.' Tea thought
Yami Yugi was giving Pegasus his glare for that comment before speaking. "Pegasus, before we begin this duel, I want you to agree to keep your promise. If I defeat you, you will release both my grandfather's and mother's souls to me!" Yami Yugi demanded, refusing to let Pegasus worm his way out of his promise.
"But of course. I'm a man of my world." Pegasus said.
"And I want you to promise also to free the souls of Seto and Mokuba Kaiba." Yami Yugi demanded.
"What a strange request. I thought you hated Kaiba-Boy as much as you hated me?" Pegasus asked, amused by Yami Yugi's demands.
"Maybe I need to keep a promise of my own." Yami Yugi vaguely said to Pegasus, remembering the vow he had made.
Brief Flashback
"But…" Mokuba turned his back to Yami Yugi, then turned back to him. "But then what can I do?" he asked Yugi.
"You can start by believing in me, and together we will defeat Pegasus." Yami Yugi asked him to trust him.
End of brief flashback
'I promised Mokuba that I would reunite him with his brother, and that's a promise I intend to keep.' Yami Yugi thought. '
Pegasus's Millennium Eye activated, letting him see Yugi's mind giving him the answer to his question.
"A promise to Mokuba, huh?" Pegasus questioned while smiling.
'Did he just read my mind?' Yami questioned, already feeling Pegasus Millenium item's effect on him.
'Pegasus is already using his power. Yugi, be careful.' Tea thought.
That's when Pegasus turned to look at her.
"He should be careful, Tea-Girl," Pegasus smirked, showing off his power.
'He just read my mind as well.' Tea thought to herself.
"Anyway, I agree to your terms if it puts your mind at ease. If you win your battle with me, I shall free these four from the cards that hold them." Pegasus said, holding up the trapped souls' cards.
"Pegasus is up to something," Tristan said, not liking how easily Pegasus agreed to Yugi's terms.
"I know. I think Pegasus was planning to duel Yuge or Tea at the end of this tournament this whole time." Joey said, agreeing with Tristan.
"But if he wanted to duel them, then why not challenge them directly why the tournament if there was a chance they could lose and not face him," Sonia asked.
"Cause this whole tournament has been one giant test for the both of them," Bakura answered.
"Throughout the tournament, Pegasus has manipulated everything in his favor, wanting to push Yugi and me to our limits by stacking everything against us while showing off his power. Just set up this moment where Pegasus can face either of us who made it to him." Tea said, understanding more about what Pegasus had put them through in the tournament.
"Don't worry, Tea, Yugi's going to kick his ass," Joey said.
"I don't know." Bakura said, "During the entire tournament, he held all the cards, and Yugi has to play at a disadvantage if he decides to use the hostages against him."
"Doesn't matter what tricks he pulls, Yuge is going to kick his ass and come out the undisputed champion," Joey told them.
"He's right. I know it." Sonia said.
"But Pegasus has never played fair, and this all started with him kidnapping both Yugi's mom and grandpa and taking Mokuba and Kaiba's souls and this final match, so he got to have a nasty trap waiting for Yugi." Tristan brought up in concern.
"No matter what card or what strategy or trick Pegasus uses. Yugi will win." Tea said, firmly believing Yugi would win and save the souls of Kikyo and the others.
"It looks like they are ready to start," Sonia said.
"Let's head to the upper balcony. We'll get a better view of the duel." Tea suggested.
"Good idea." Joey agreed.
The three (Tea, Joey, and Sonia) left for the upper balcony leaving only Tristan and Bakura.
"All we can do is let the duel play out. Pegasus holds all the cards right now." Bakura said, turning to Tristan. "As long as he has his prisoners, we are at his mercy no matter the duel's result."
"Right!" Tristan said as he ran to the left, surprising Bakura.
"Tristan, where are you going?" Bakura asked.
Tristan stopped and turned to face his friend. "I'm going to see if I can find Kaiba or Mokuba cause if I can get them back even without their souls, at least Pegasus won't hold all the cards," Tristan explained before he continued to begin his search for the brothers.
'A search for their empty vessels? Not a bad idea.' Bakura, or more accurately, Yami Bakura thought, liking the idea of possibly gaining a new host body.
Meanwhile Red-Eyes Queen was creeping through the hall in the castle's catacombs. She had not left the palace, simply letting Pegasus think she did, and given the fact that castle guards hadn't surrounded her yet, it seemed like it worked.
She didn't think he would leave him near Mokuba, meaning she had to find where Pegasus put him. 'Hang on, Seto, Mokuba. I'm going to save you both.' She felt as she continued her search for the brothers.
"Challenger Yugi Muto as per the rules of the Duelist Kingdom tournament, present the card that entitles you to participate," Croquet asks Yugi.
"As per your rules, here it is." Yami Yugi said, showing the Glory of the King's Opposite hand.
After verifying the card, Croquet nods before continuing, "So it is, and so the stage is set for the final and deciding duel of the Duelist kingdom competition. Just as the card you hold is a blank slate, there are no limits to the prize you may request of your opponent if you are the victor." Croquet explained before he continued on. "You can decide if you wish to take over his company as your reward for winning." hearing that catches Yami Yugi off guard that Pegasus would willingly wager his own company that he made as a potential prize.
"You can ask for this entire island or demand Mr. Pegasus Millennium eye as your prize," Croquet said, listing increasingly absurd things Yugi could ask for where his friends could believe what they were hearing.
"This is nuts!" Joey said.
"Yeah, talk about fabulous prizes," Sonia said; those prizes could set someone up for life.
"That's the same deal he offered Kikyo when she dueled him." She remembered in Kikyo's story that Tea reminded them that her teacher had been offered a similar choice. That's when Bakura walked over, and she realized that Tristan wasn't with him.
"Bakura, where's Tristan?" Tea asked.
"Oh, Tristan wandered off somewhere," Bakura answered.
"Really? An important duel is about to start, and that box head just wandered off?" Sonia uttered in annoyance.
"It's fine; he probably went to the John," Joey said much to Sonia, disgusted.
"Seriously, Joey, did you have to put that image in my mind?" Sonia asked him
"Hey, you're the one imagining it, not me. Besides, forget about it. Things are about to get interesting." Joey argued
"Hmm, any request will be honored?" Pegasus asked. "That's some prize. Now tell me do I know how to throw a tournament, or do I know throw a duelist kingdom tournament?"
"Promise me you will free the souls of my family and all the others you have captured." Yami Yugi asked, not letting Pegasus attempt to tempt him to forget why he was there.
"Yes." Pegasus said before continuing. "But if I am the one that defeats you instead, you must also fulfill your end of the bargain. Take a close look at the card you hold in your hand, Yugi-boy."
Yami Yugi looked at his hand, wondering what Pegasus was getting at when it hit him. " There's a reason that it's blank, you know. For if I win, I calm your soul forever!" Pegasus said to him as Yami Yugi stared him down. "So you see, you have much to gain but much to risk as well."
'So that is the game he is playing at trying to get our souls.' Tea said, taking out her Glory of the Kings Opposite hand card. She began to understand why it was blank; it wasn't just showing limitless prizes they could get, but capturing their souls like the others.
"It's a risk I'm willing to take to free the souls of my family and the others. And I don't plan to lose." Yami Yugi declared.
"We shall see," Pegasus remarked.
"We will indeed, Pegasus." Yami Yugi said.
"So courageous, so defiant," Pegasus said back.
"Did you guys hear that?" Sonia asks them. "If Yugi loses, Pegasus will take his soul, and we will lose our one chance to save the souls Pegasus stole." Sonia now starts to feel nervous.
"What a creep. But even knowing what's on the line, Yugi still isn't going to back down." Joey said.
"Me neither if the roles were reversed and if I was one dueling this duel we can't walk away from." Tea said.
"That is true, Tea, but Yugi is putting his very soul on the line," Bakura said.
"That's Yugi. When it comes to helping others, no price to himself is too high." Joey said, remembering what he did for him and Tristan.
"Yes. But this is the biggest gamble I've seen anybody take on Duel Monsters." Bakura told Joey.
'Yugi, I know you win this. Give it all you got and save the others so we can all go home together.' Tea thought as her grip tightened on the railing.
"I hate to disappoint you, Pegasus, but I have no intention of ever becoming a part of your soul card collection," Yugi said to Pegasus, ready to end his plans.
'Hmm. Not only will you become a part of my collection Yugi but by defeating you, I secure my control of Kaiba Corporation and all its inventions.' Pegasus thought.
(At KaibaCorp boardroom)
"The Duel is about to begin," Leichter said.
"Pegasus has patched us in via his Satellite network." Gansley mentioned.
"That's excellent," Crump said
"If he wins against Yugi, we'll broadcast this nationwide," Johnson said
"And the publicity will restore our company's reputation among duelists. Nezbitt said.
"Our secret alliance with Pegasus will pay off at last… Very handsomely." Gansley chuckled evilly
"Would you like us to get the champagne now for you to enjoy while you watch, sirs?" a female voice said in a sweet voice.
"To commemorate the new era KaibaCorp, you all will usher in." another female voice with a more stern tone in it.
"Let's wait until it's official. it makes it taste all the sweeter." Gansley said
"I quite agree," Johnson said.
"Yes, Sirs." the two female voices said, doing their best to hide their excitement, for this is their advance meant for their patience working under these men.
At that time, both Shenlong and Kasumi, who had been watching each duel play out from their office, had hacked into Pegasus systems. He had a good security system, just not enough to beat them.
"This is it, the battle to decide this tournament." Kasumi said."
"By the way, sis, are you sure it was wise to send those two undercover to KaibaCorp?" Shenlong asked
"In case those old men have plans that could jeopardize many things, and if Yugi does win, they can keep an eye out when Kaiba and Mokuba return," Kasumi answered.
"If Pegasus truly keeps his word to free them," Shenlong remarked.
"Well, from what I could find, he kept every promise he made though none of them had this high stakes, so if Yugi beat Pegasus, we will find out if his honor holds any true worth with stakes this high," Kasumi said back.
"No matter what, this will be one interesting duel," Shenlong said.
"You're right about that, bro," Kasumi replied.
'All of my plans have come to fruition in this one final duel.' Pegasus thought, knowing his plans will be practically complete, 'And if all proceeds as I have envisioned, Yugi's Millennium puzzle will soon be mine, and with Yugi's soul, getting Tea Millennium star will be easily added as well cause she will come running to me.' Yami Yugi stared down at Pegasus.
"The final duel will now begin. The winner will be declared King of Games." Croquet announced.
A lift from the ceiling lowered, holding two of Pegasus Men holding a pillow each.
"Now, both of you cut and shuffle your opponent's cards," Croquet told them.
The two handle over their respective deck to the man in front of them, bringing it to their opponent with Yami Yugi cutting the deck in half, putting the top half on the bottom before putting it back, and Pegasus simply taps the deck.
"It's good as is," Pegasus says, not bothering to shuffle the deck.
"Now the cards will be returned, the scores reset, and," Croquet says.
"Duel!" Both Pegasus and Yami Yugi say ready to duel

'You have come far, Yugi-boy, and learned much as I wished. But you're still a novice compared to me, for I have mastered the power of my Millennium item.'
'I won't lose! I can't lose!' Yami Yugi thought.
At that time, in the castle catacombs, Tristan was trying to find the Kaiba brothers but not having much luck. To his frustration, he had no luck. Tristan felt like he was going in circles.
"What have I gotten myself into? This castle is humongous." Tristan said to himself as he reached yet another choice as to which way he could go straight or left and decided to go left, passing by a suit of armor.
"This is worse than trying to find your friends at the mall. There's no sign of Kaiba, Mokuba, or anyone else down here." Tristan complained.
Suddenly Tristan hears humming and realizes it's one of Pegasu's guards. "I spoke too soon," said to himself.
Tristan started to panic, desperately trying to think of a way not to be seen before his eyes landed on one of the suits of armor Behind him. The guard passed by the armor. Tristan, who was inside the armor, sighed in relief before noticing him walking around a nearby coroner and heard him and another guard talking.
"Time to change shifts; how is the little twerp?" one guard asked.
"The same as ever, glassy-eyed and glum, ha, you don't have to worry about him running off." the second guard told him.
"Of course not. But you know we still have to be careful. He's Pegasus' pet prisoner after all." the first guard replied.
"Pet scheme, I'm out here." As he went to leave, the second guard said, causing Tristan to get back in the position the armor was in before as he passed.
Once the guard was gone, Tristan slumped from the weight of the armor as he tried to move to where that guard came from though the armor didn't make that easy.
"Boy, this armor's heavy!" Tristan complained as he got to the corner, only to see a dead end with a dragon statue, "Hey, where'd the other guard go?"
Tristan was about to take a look when he heard footsteps behind him.
"I can't forget my stupid radio." The guard from before complained as he rounded the corner and saw Tristan with the two staring at each other for a second before the guard snapped out of it.
"This armor wasn't here when I left." the guard said as he walked closer.
'Oh no.' Tristan thought, knowing that he was caught.
"I swear if this prank, I'm not putting this suit back." the guard muttered as put his hand out to touch the suit.
Only to get grabbed from behind and slammed into the wall, shattering his glasses and nose as he limps on the ground. Tristan was shocked to see who it was. "Red-Eyes Queen?" he asked out loud.
"Isn't it a little too early for Halloween?" she asked Tristan with little teasing in her voice.
Tristan took the helmet off. "What are you doing here? I thought you left the island?"
"You really think I would just leave while Seto and Mokuba are being held, prisoner?" Red-Eyes Queen asked. "But I should be asking you, why are you here and not with your friends?"
"Well, I realized that as long as Pegasus has both Kaiba and Mokuba, then he tries to use them to put Yugi in a bind during the duel, so I thought if I could get at least one of them back, then he wouldn't be able to use them as leverage against Yugi." Tristan explained to her.
"It seems like we have similar goals. We both want free Seto and Mokuba from Pegasus hold, so how about we combine our efforts?" Red-Eyes Queen suggested.
Tristan could help but blush at someone like Red-Eyes Queen was suggesting they work together. 'Ohh, boy, do I have all the luck.' Tristan giggled in his head.
Red-Eyes Queen could tell, even with armor on, that his thoughts are at least roughly having more than enough experience with guys like him who take stuff literally and make jumps to conclusions. 'If he imagines me in a bikini, he will join that guard on the floor.'
Tristan quickly calmed himself and answered. "Sure, another guard took over the shifts around the corner, but he seemed to have vanished," he said, pointing to the dead end where the dragon statue was.
Red-Eyes Queen looked down the hall and saw the statue before walking over and observing it. Putting one of her hands on the head, she gives it a little push and feels it give a little.
"Come over here. I found the answer to your vanishing guard problem." Red-Eyes Queen said.
Tristan walked over to the statue. Red-Eyes Queen placed her hand on the head of the statue. "Help me push it down."
Tristan did what she said and placed his hand on the statue as well, next to hers, as they used their combined strength to push the statue's head until it went down, revealing that the wall on the right was fake as it moved up to show a staircase.
"Wow, how did you figure that out?" Tristan asked her.
"It fits with Pegasus' mindset with everything not as it seems," she said as walking downstairs before continuing. "Also, rule number 1 of castles, there's always a secret passageway, especially when you want to hide something or someone."
"Hey, wait up; this suit is much heavier than it looks." Tristan complained as he walked down the stairs after her.
Back at the arena, the tension was thick. Both Yami Yugi and Pegasus had not made a move. The others on the upper level were anxious to see which of them would go first.
"It's like we're in the old west waiting for the first cowboy to shoot first," Joey said.
"Joey, this isn't one of those old west movies you watch," Sonia told him.
"Well, how would you describe this feeling?" Joey asked her.
Before she could respond, Yami Yugi made the first move.
Turn 1
"This is it. Now we begin." Yami Yugi said after drawing his card. "I lay one card face down and throw this monster card in defense mode." Yugi as he placed his cards and then ended his turn.

"Hmm, sneaky play; that wouldn't happen to be a Beaver Warrior, would it?" Pegasus asked.
'He read my mind.' Yami Yugi thought.
Turn 2
"Oh, this is so much fun." Pegasus laughed as he drew from his deck. "I play a card face down as well," Pegasus said as one of the spell and trap slots lit up. "And throw down this, my own monster card in DEF mode. Red Archery Girl!"
Appearing in a flash of light was a mermaid wielding a bow and arrow residing in a clam for protection.

'Red Archery Girl? Why would you play such a weak monster in defense mode? Is he trying to lure me into an attack?' Yami Yugi thought to himself.
'Hehehe, Yugi-Boy, I know all and see all. On your field are Beaver Warrior and Horn of the Unicorn. You're planning to use them in a combination attack.' Pegasus thought.
'Something is wrong, be careful, Yugi. Pegasus is up to something.' Tea thought.
Turn 3
'Pegasus is confident, but that's always been his style. Never revealing his true motives, his down card worries me, but I can't risk giving up an early lead; I need to strike now.' Yami Yugi thought, deciding to go for the attack.
"I switch the Beaver Warrior I had hidden from DEF to ATK mode." Yami Yugi said, flipping his face-down monster into ATK.
In a flash of Light, Beaver Warrior was revealed.

Appearing on Beaver Warrior's Forehead was a Unicorn's horn where the electricity was charging up his sword, powering him up.
"Now attack the Archery Girl." Yami Yugi ordered.
However, Pegasus spoke up. "Not so fast, Yugi-Boy. You activated my trap card."
'I should have known.' Yami Yugi thought, realizing he had fallen into Pegaus's trap.
"Oh no." Tea gasped, knowing Yugi had fallen into the trap.
"Tears of a Mermaid," Pegasus announced, revealing the trap card.
Red-Archery Girl began to giggle as her eyes began to glow. Tears in the shape of bubbles began to drop from her eyes and began to envelop Beaver Warrior, causing the electricity to run wild inside the bubble.
"What's happening?" Yami Yugi shouted in shock
"Unfortunately for you, Tears of a Mermaid activates when an opponent's hidden card is put into play. It blocks all possible attacks from the opponent's monsters and neutralizes them." Pegasus explained. "The Beaver Warrior's electrical attacks backfire against the beaver itself, and as a result, its attack returned to its original value."

"Grr." Yami Yugi growled in frustration.
"He had the perfect counter ready. How did he do that?" Sonia said, shocked that Pegasus could perfectly counter Yugi's combo.
"He's up to his old cheating ways." Joey frowned.
"Pegasus is using his Millennium Eye to read Yugi's mind." Tea said.
"I still don't buy that Tea. There has to be a logical explanation." Sonia said, still not believing in magic. To her, it had to be like a hidden camera or something with the system scanning Yugi's card.
Turn 4
"Now that your Beaver is weakened. I'll switch my Red Archery Girl into ATK mode." Pegasus said, switching his monster into attack mode.

Red Archery Girl giggled as she drew her bow and fired an arrow at Beaver Warrior, who blocked it with his shield; however, the arrow smashed through the shield and pieced Beaver Warrior, destroying him.

"Beaver Warrior is eliminated," Pegasus smirked.
"Grr." Yami Yugi grunted.
"Pegasus was able to turn the tables on Yugi." Bakura said.
"Maybe Pegasus can read minds?" Joey uttered but then looked around. "And where is Tristan at? We should all be to support Yugi"
"Maybe he got lost?" Bakura suggested.
"Oh boy, if he did." Sonia sighed.
"Doesn't he realize that he's missing the match of the century," Joey stated.
Yami Yugi was unnerved. 'Pegasus must be reading my mind. It's the only way he could have been so prepared to counter my combo.'
'Hahaha, looks like Yugi-boy's a believer.' Pegasus thought.
'How can I win against an opponent who can read my strategies before I can think them up.' Yami Yugi thought.
"How indeed, I think not. I know you are just starting to comprehend my power. Do you realize the magnitude of the jeopardy of the situation you put yourself in by accepting this duel? How can you hope to defeat not only the creator of Duel Monsters but a duelist that can read your every thought? I can see everything in your mind, your hopes: your dreams, even your fear. And right now, your greatest fear is me, and with good reason. You know my mind-reading abilities give me an unbeatable advantage." Pegasus said
Yami Yugi just gritted his teeth as sweat poured down his face.
"Man, this is a nightmare. We know that Yugi can beat anyone in a fair duel, but Pegasus can read his mind." Joey said.
"It makes his eye one of the most powerful Millennium Items. He can read any mind he chooses. Anyone who opposes him must use extreme caution." Bakura said, turning to the others.
"You seem to know a lot about that eye, Bakura," Joey said.
"Only a little, but I don't know if any mortal can stand against it," Bakura said.
"If there's not, no one can save Kikyo and the others," Joey said.
"Don't worry. Remember Kikyo beat Pegasus years ago, and Yugi can do the same thing." Tea said she believed Yugi would win and would continue to put her fate in him, knowing that if it were her down there, he would do the same.
Back with Tristan and Red-Eyes Queen, both were still descending the staircase.
"With a secret staircase, they have to be hiding something," Tristan said.
"You think?" Red-Eyes Queen asked sarcastically.
The two then came to a corner. Red-Eyes Queen held her hand out, signaling for him to stop. She looked around the corner to the right and saw another pathway, and to the left, she saw a guard sitting in a chair with a lamp on it. She also saw a cell. She instantly knew that it had to be either Seto or Mokuba.
"I think we found where your guard had gotten to." Red-Eyes Queen whispered to Tristan. "And it looks like he's guarding a cell."
"Hmm." Tristan hummed.
"Man, this is the most boring job. I mean, what's the point of watching this kid without his soul? He's a zombie. It's a waste of time," The guard said.
"Hey!" Red-Eyes Queen shouted, getting the guard's attention before she punched him in the face, shattering his sunglasses, and slammed him into the cell knocking him out.
Tristan just looked at her in disbelief. 'Remind me never to mess with her.'
"That should do it." Red-Eye Queen smirked. She turned her attention to the cell and saw who was in there. "Mokuba, Tristan, it's Mokuba."
"Nice, we found him," Tristan said as he finished taking off the armor.
Red-Eyes Queen looked at Mokuba. She saw that his eyes were devoid of life. "Oh, Mokuba, don't worry. We'll get you out of here." she looked at the cell and saw the lock. She turned her attention to the unconscious guard and saw two keys attached to a chain on the floor next to him. She grabbed the keys and observed them for a moment, then turned back to the lock. She placed one of the keys into the lock, which chimed before numbers appeared on it. With two red lights blinked, and it unlocked.
"Allow me," Tristan said as he walked up and opened the cell. "You going in?"
"No, you should take him." Red-Eyes Queen said, surprising Tristan. "Look, it's obvious they have an alarm built into this. Take Mokuba and try to get out of here."
"But what about you?" Tristan asked.
"I'm going to find Seto, knowing Mokuba's will draw the guards away from their posts, making this our best chance to find him." Red-Eyes Queen said as she began to walk away.
"We should stick together; we can still find Kaiba and get both of them to safety," Tristan argued.
Red-Eyes Queen stopped and turned to face him. "Tristan, we're better off splitting up. A larger group will be a bigger target. I can take care of myself. Just take care of Mokuba, please?"
Tristan gritted his teeth but reluctantly nodded. "Alright, good luck," he said as he walked into the cell.
Red-Eyes Queen nodded before rushing down the hall, hoping to find where they were holding Kaiba.
Like Red-Eyes Queen said, unlocking the door set off an alarm alerting the control room's goons.
"There's been a breach." a goon said as he looked at the monitor that showed that the computer that showed the status of Mokuba's cell was unlocked without permission.
Turn 5
"Pegasus, no matter the odds, I will never surrender." Yami Yugi proclaimed. "I'll place a monster face down and end my turn.."

"Now, do your worse." Yami Yugi said.
Pegasus just chuckled. "I always do."
Suddenly Croquet's phone began to ring. He reached into his suit and answered it. "What is it?" Croquet demanded.
"We have a potential problem in sector 5 and haven't verified it yet. But it could be an intruder. The guard stationed there isn't responded either. Along with the other guards saying that there might be more than one." Security said while looking over the computer. "Master Pegasus must be notified."
"Master Pegasus is in the middle of a duel." Croquet firmly replied back
Suddenly Bakura's eyes narrowed, and the Millennium Ring glowed, allowing him to listen in on Croquet's conversation.
"Then what are your orders sir?" the guard talking to Croquet asked.
"I want you to seal all exits, and the boy must not escape." Croquet ordered.
Bakura smirked, while the others were unaware of it as they continued to cheer on Yugi.
"You can do it, Yugi." Tea called out.
"Stay focused, and don't let his mind games throw you off." Sonia said.
"The duel's not over yet. Keep it up, Yuge." Joey called.
Back in the catacombs, Tristan had finished claiming back up the stairwell with Mokuba on his back when the hidden door suddenly closed, not only making it impossible to go back down but now making it impossible to regroup with Red-Eyes Queen, indeed leaving him alone.
"There goes the stairwell. It looks like she was right about them, knowing we are down here now. If they think getting us will be easy, they have another thing coming." Tristan said as he adjusted his grip on Mokaba before he started running, looking for an escape from this maze of hallways.
Red-Eyes Queen turned a corner but ducked to a dark corner as a couple of guards passed.
"Hurry, we must find the kid before master Pegasus finishes his duel because if he finds out we lost him, our bodies will be in those cells." One guard said in a desperate tone.
'I was right, and they're now looking for Tristan. However, this could work to my advantage since there won't be anyone guarding Seto anymore. I also need to figure out a way around that lock alarm unless I want to risk sending guards to Seto's cell if I try unlocking the door.' Red-Eyes Queen thought as she tried to find a way to get into the cell without using the door.
She then came out of her hiding place; as she went down the hall, guards came from that being her best bet to find Seto at the moment since there is a chance they might be guarding him, and even if she was wrong, it was better then walking around aimlessly and hoping she finds his cell by pure luck.
Turn 6
"Could it be? My turn?" Pegasus smirked as he drew his card.
"What's that slime ball up to?" Joey asked, not liking Pegasus's expression.
"It's the moment you've all been waiting for." Pegasus said
"You're going to shut up and act like an actual adult?" Sonia asked sarcastically, knowing that was unlikely, with Pegasus ignoring her comment and not seeming bothered by it.
"First, I'll place a card face-down, next Ryu-Ran in DEF Mode." Pegasus said as he placed a card face-down
With that, a giant egg appeared on the field before a pair of legs broke out of the egg along with its wings as the egg split into two halves in the middle, where claws could be seen, and finally, a hole in the shell where the eyes could be seen.
"Not eggs-actly what you were expecting, is it?." Pegasus asked jokingly, "And I switch the Archery Girl into DEF Mode."
Red Archery Girl pulled her bow back into her shell as she took a more passive stance.

Tristan could be seen running down in the catacombs looking for a way out. As he went down a hallway only to see the shadows of the guards forcing him to stop
"Another dead end. This way's no good, either." Tristan said in frustration as he turned to go back, only to see me and hear even more guards.
"Over here." one guard yelled. They were heading his way.
"Crap, I'm trapped with nowhere to go," Tristan said to himself, knowing he was in a bind now.
Red-Eye Queen stopped at a corner before peaking out. She didn't see any guards since that last group that passed her. Many of the guards seemed to be away from their regular posts.
"I have to be getting somewhere; where are you, Seto?" Red-Eyes Queen muttered to herself.
She then rushed down the hall, hoping to find Kaiba soon before the guards found and captured Tristan and Mokaba.
"Your turn, Yugi-Boy." Pegasus said.
"I'll scramble your egg. If that's your best, I'll still defeat you." Yami Yugi declared.
'Hahaha, Yugi, so full of banter at this time of dire peril. I guess he needs another demonstration of my Millennium magic. All right, Yugi, first let's read your mind and see what's in your hand.' Pegasus thought before activating his Millennium Eye magic, seeing into Yami Yugi's mind where his hand becomes crystal clear to Pegasus.
Turn 7
'Ooh, nice cards. Now, what are you going to Draw?' As Yami Yugi drew his card, Pegasus wondered, letting him see what it was.
"Could it be that you drew the Summoned Skull?" Pegasus stated rather than asked.
"Curse you, Pegasus!" Yami Yugi said as Pegasus revealed what he drew.
"I think it'll go well with your, Celtic Guardian, Spellbinding Circle, Magical Hats, and Horn Imp." Pegasus teased as he revealed Yami Yugi's entire hand to everyone.
"He's reading all of Yugi's cards." Tea said, frustrated with Pegasus's unfair advantage of knowing both Yugi's hand and strategies, making it impossible to surprise him.
"Don't let him psych you out Yuge." Joey said.
"Keep fighting, Yugi. You can beat him." Sonia said.
'But how? Pegasus knows every card I draw and every strategy I can think of the instant I make them. With that Millennium Eye of his, he's unstoppable!' Yami Yugi thought, having no idea how to stop Pegasus' mind-reading powers.
"Yugi, stay calm. There's gotta be a weakness to that eye of his. Nothing is truly unbeatable." Tea said even if she had no idea what could stop it, there had to be something he could do to stop it.
'Let's see what Croquet is up to.' Yami Bakura thought, using his Millennium Ring to listen in on his conversation.,
"What do you mean you haven't recovered Mokuba yet? He's vital for the takeover of Kaiba Corp. how hard is it to retrieve a soulless body? Don't make me come down there." Croquet threatened
Bakura smiled darkly, turning his back to the others. 'Interesting.' Yami Bakura thought as he began to walk away.
Joey noticed this and spoke up. "Hey, Bakura, where are you going?"
Bakura stopped in his place. "I thought I should go check up on Tristan."
"He has been gone a long time." Sonia said.
"Maybe too long," Joey said, knowing something was wrong. "What could be so important than this match?"
"I'll make sure to ask him." Bakura said as he left to find Tristan and the soulless Mokuba.
'Go ahead and make your move, Yugi-Boy, but it's not. I already know what it is. First, you'll lay the Spellbinding Circle, then play Summoned Skull in defense mode. Go on, for I am perfectly prepared to counter it.' Pegasus thought.
"It's my turn, and first, I'll lay one card face down." Yami Yugi said, placing the Spellbinding circle down. "And I'll play the Summoned Skull in DEF mode."
In a flash of light, Summoned Skull appeared in a defensive position.

"Oh, goodie, it's my turn again." Pegasus said.
'Hehehe, the eye never lies, nor does it see the vulnerability of your pathetic move.' Pegasus said as he drew from his deck. "I'm switching Ryu-Ran to attack mode." Pegasus said as he switched Ryu-Ran to ATK position
Ryu-Ran's top eggshell burst apart, revealing a magma-colored dragon with a piece of the eggshell still on Ryu-Ran's head.

"Ryu-Ran, Firestram attack!" Pegasus ordered
Ryu-Ran fired twin streams of flame at Summoned Skull in an attempt to incinerate him.
"With your attack, you activated my trap card." Yami Yugi shouted as he flipped his card over. "The SpellBinding Circle!"
The SpellBinding Circle then appeared in front of Summoned Skull, blocking the attack, then it moved towards Ryu-Ran, who roared as the Magical Circle ensnared him, weakening him as a result.
"Not only is Ryu-Ran ensnared, but thanks to the power of my trap, his attack power is reduced by 700 points." Yami Yugi explained.

"Ohh no." Pegasus said, but it was clear he wasn't concerned.
"Alright, he did it." Sonia cheered.
"Pegasus is in big trouble now." Joey cheered as well.
'Something's wrong. Pegasus isn't even worried.' Tea thought; she didn't have to guess why.
At that time, Yami Bakura raced through the halls of the catacombs looking for Tristan and Mokuba.
'Where are you, little Mokuba?' Yami Bakura thought.
He then came to two branching paths. Yami Bakura glared at the intersection when the Millennium Ring began to glow with one of the rods pointing to the left. Yami Bakura smirked before he ran down the left path.
Elsewhere Red-Eyes Queen was still searching for Kaiba. She had been searching for Kaiba while at the same time avoiding security.
"Where could they be keeping him?" Red-Eyes Queen said to herself as she continued searching.
After a few minutes, she came to a corner. Red-Eyes Queen peaked and saw a cell that no one was guarding. She then walked over and saw Kaiba in the back of it.
"Seto, I finally found you." Red-Eyes Queen said, of course. Kaiba didn't respond. She knew that, like his brother Kaiba didn't have his soul. "Ok, how do I get you out without triggering an alarm?" Red-Eyes Queen asked. She looked at the security lock. She didn't have the key, and even if she did it would just set off the alarm sending the guards back here.
That is when it hit her, giving her an idea that was either brilliant or stupid, depending on how things went, though she didn't have any other options. So she goes to the nearby table by the cell, breaks off one of the legs of the table, and takes it into her hands as she walks over to the cell door.
"Well, here goes nothing." Red-Eyes Queen thought as she bashed the table leg into the electric lock, hoping her plans went the way she needed.
In the control room, as the guards work on trying to find Mokuba, one of the guards on the security console receives an alert.
"We have another breach! Someone is attempting to open Seto Kaiba's cell forcibly." the man said
The head guard of the area bit his lip while older Kaiba isn't needed for Mr. Pegasus's plan as far as he knows. But they don't need another prisoner's body moving around. They need to put an end to this problem now, so they focus on getting the boy back.
"What current state of the lock have they breached past it yet, and do we have any guards near there?" he asked.
"No, Sir, it is still holding for the moment, and there's a pair only five minutes from the cell." the guard on the console told him.
"Then tell them to investigate it. I don't want any more failures." the head guard ordered.
"Yes sir." he said as he contacted the guards, giving them their new orders.
Turn 9
Yami Yugi then drew from his deck before starting his turn. "And Now, Pegasus. With my Skull in position to attack." Yami Yugi Declared as he switched Summoned Skull to ATK mode.
Summoned, Skull stood up, ready to strike-down Ryu-Ran with all its might.

"And the Magic of my Spellbinding Circle trap is still in full effect. Ryu-Ran will be struck down." Yami Yugi declared, "Go, Lightning Strike Attack."
Summoned Skull discharged lightning and directed it at Ryu-Ran.
But Pegasus was unfazed. " Not so fast, Yugi; I play this." Pegasus said as he held up a trap card showing a man in a robe using some form of magic.
"What is that?" Yami Yugi asked, have never seen that card.
"A trap, well, a trap for traps, actually. It's called Trap Displacement, and with it, I can take the Spellbinding Circle you sent on one of my monsters and switch it to one of yours, observe." as Pegasus explained the effect of his card, the trap went to remove the Spellbinding Circle from Ryu-Ran and put it on the Summoned Skull, stopping his attack and weakening him.

"Why, it's almost as if I knew exactly what you were thinking in it?" Pegasus asked, despite both of them knowing the answer.
"Summoned Skull won't be able to last another turn with Spellbinding Circle ensnaring him." Yami Yugi scowled..
"Come now, Yugi-boy, your skull won't even last this one." Pegasus told him, and Yami Yugi knew he was right.
"Fire Stream attack!" Pegasus said As Ryu-Ran pulled his head back and released two streams of fire at the Summon Skull, which incinerated him.

'Pegasus knows every dueling strategy I can think up. I can't hide anything from his eye!' Yami Yugi thought.
"That mind reading cheat what the use of going on." Joey questioned, starting to see the duel as unwinnable because Pegasus cheating.
"Joey, you idiot, don't say that Yugi is already having enough trouble, as is he doesn't need to hear you say that Yugi will find a way." Sonia criticize
"I know Sonia, and it ain't over till it's over. We have to believe that Yugi can pull through." Joey replied.
'Your right Joey. The duel isn't over until the last card is played, and Pegasus supposed all seeing eye got to have it's limits, and Yugi just needs to find a way to use it to his advantage.' Tea thought as she then heard her other self's voice.
{Maybe it does, but to do that, Yugi and Yami need to start using their Millennium item to their advantage.} Hikari Tea stated.
{How do they do that?} Tea asked her other self, hoping she might have an answer, only to hear a sigh.
{That is something they must find out for themselves, cause even I don't know what the answer is.} Hikari Tea said as she doesn't know what power either of their Millennium items had that could counter mind reading, and she could imagine the two desperately trying to think of a way to protect their mind.
Tea knew that she was right. Even then, she felt so frustrated watching this duel and seeing Yugi suffer that she couldn't do anything about it. 'Yugi, don't give up.'Tea thought.
Back in the catacombs, Tristan raced through the corridors with the guards on his trail.
"Look! he's got Mokuba!" Guard 1 shouted
"Stop him!" Guard 2 said.
Tristan kept running, trying to keep out of the reach of the guards and keep Mokuba safe. That when a guard appeared from around the corner of the hallway, he was going down.
"Hold it right there!" a guard yelled as he came out of a passageway blocking Tristan's path, forcing him to stop.
"No place left to run, punk!" Guard 2 said.
"Damn." Tristan cursed as he looked behind and saw guards chasing him had blocked his path going back too.
"You're surrounded." Guard 3 said.
"Now, hand over the boy if you know what's good for you." Guard 2 added treating him.
"Come and get him." Tristan dared them. If he were going down, he would go down protecting Mokuba.
"Lay one hand on the boy, and you will rue the day you imbeciles were ever born." a dark voice said, getting closer.
"Hey, who's there?" Guard 1 questioned.
That was when Yami Bakura came out of the hallway door without fear.
"You just walked into a world of trouble, kid." Guard 3 shouted
Tristan didn't know how or why Bakura is here, but he couldn't let his friend get dragged down with him. "Bakura, what are you doing? Get out of here while you can." Tristan yelled at him
"Come here, punk." Guard 2 ordered.
"Now, come out of those shadows." Guard 3 demanded, pulling out his gun.
"Run for it, Bakura! go save yourself." Tristan called out, trying to get His friend to leave
"Last chance, kid, come out where we can see you or else." Guard 1 yelled as he pulled out his own gun.
"Or else what, you pathetic little drones." Yami Bakura threatened back, having no time for these pests.
"We warned you, punk." Guard 3 said, aiming at Yami Bakura, who wasn't frightened. Why should he? He has the power they could never comprehend.
Yami Bakura smirked and pulled out a card. "Yes, and I am warning you. Don't trifle with me!"
"What is that?" Guard 1 questioned.
"Chain Energy!" Yami Bakura shouted as the card began flashing with energy blinding everyone when they could see again, the guards' arms were restrained at their sides, and their legs felt stuck in place.
"What on earth I'm stuck!" Guard 3 yelled as he tried to move.
"Me too but how!" Guard 1 said
"What the fuck is happening!" Guard 2 practically screamed
Tristan was shocked by what Bakura did and said having no idea how or what he did. "Bakura, what did you do?"
Yami Bakura didn't bother answering the fool's question, and he instead focused on finding a secure place to transfer his soul into his new body. "Come now is our chance to escape," he told the fool. He could have restrained him as well, but carrying his new body and getting rid of these pests would be too annoying. The fool has his use as a pack mule for the moment as he runs.
"Uh, right," Tristan said, running after Yami Bakura, following him, feeling uneasy from what happened, but as it stood, he needed all the help he could get.
'I hope the Red-Eyes Queen is having an easier time with the guards than I am.' Tristan thought.
At that time, two guards arrived at Kaiba's cell looking for the person who set off the alarm, only to find a damaged lock, a broken table leg, and Seto still in his cell.
"Control looks like whoever tried to break the lock isn't here anymore. What are your orders?" Guard 1 said as the other looked for whoever was here before.
"We can't risk them making another attempt to break him out. We are going to move him to the cell closest to the control room." the voice from their radio told him.
"Roger." Guard 1 said as he pulled out his key to unlock it, but the door didn't open. "Control looks like the lock was damaged from the force used on it we need you to unlock it on your end."
"Ok, hold on a second." the voice from the radio said.
After a few seconds, the lock opened with a beep.
"Ok, it unlocked; just be careful not to let the door close until you get Seto out cause it automatically lock again when it shuts and we don't have time to waste once Seto is secure. We need you. A team spotted Mokuba, and we are sending every guard we can spare after him."
"Roger. Get him; I will keep the door secure." Guard 1 told Guard 2, who nodded and went into the cell, pulled up Seto, and started bringing him out of the cell.
However, up on the ceiling, Red-Eyes Queen had her arms and legs stretched, keeping her in place for the last five minutes waiting for her moment to strike. 'Come just a little further.' she thought as the guard finished taking Kaiba out of the cell.
Red-Eyes Queen then let go, dropping on top of the guard holding the cell door and knocking him to the ground. Then she grabs the cell door and slams it right into the guard holding Seto, who had only partially gotten out of the way of the cell, having it hit him in the chest hard, causing him to drop Seto right outside the cell while the guard stumbled back into it.
She then slammed her fist into the guard on the ground, chest hard, causing him great pain, before using her strength to move him just enough into the cell past the door just as the other guard recovered, who saw her slam the cell door shut causing it to lock again.
Red-Eyes Queen sighed and twisted her wrist. "Man, those guards aren't tough, but their bodies feel like they're made of rock."
"You think you won? There will be guards swarming here in less than ten minutes, and I imagine you won't get far dragging him around!" Guard 2 said, pointing at Seto as he reached into his pocket to pull out his phone, only to find it was a broken mess as his eyes widened, as Red-Eyes Queen smirked at him.
Guard 2 quickly rushed over to where guard 1 was on the ground, still in pain, as pulled out his phone only to see it had suffered a similar fate realizing why she had punched him in the chest, not to hurt him but to break his phone just like she did to his.
"As a (good) duelist, you tend to be more observant, picking up the small details in a duel and your opponents. During my stay here, I saw that all of you tended to keep your phones in your upper jacket pockets, making it easy to target that spot." Red-Eyes Queen told him as she bent down and lifted Seto as best as possible, putting his weight on her left shoulder.
"You won't get away with this!" Guard 2 yelled in rage.
"Well, that won't be for a while. If what I heard is true, they won't realize something went wrong for a while." She said while hiding her own concern for Mokuba once Seto's body is safe for the moment, she will find Tristan, and they will take Kaiba's brother's bodies somewhere truly safe. She bent down, grabbed Kaiba's right arm, and placed it over her shoulder.
'Damn, didn't know he was this heavy; note to self, recommend weight watchers for him.' Red-Eyes Queen thought as she slowly walked away from the cell to find Tristan and Mokuba.
Turn 10
"My turn Yugi-Boy." Pegasus said as he drew from his deck
'Probably another perfectly prepared move. If i'm going to win, I need to find a way to prevent his Millenium Eye from reading my mind.' Yami Yugi thought.
"Fat Chance!" Pegasus called out,
"Arg!" Yami Yugi gasped.
"Nothing you do will stop it. Face it, Yugi, you're at the mercy of my Millennium eye." Pegasus taught him
Yami Yugi could only grit his teeth at his current situation.
"Don't you see, I already know every card you keep in your deck and have every card needed to stop them in my possession. I can see every strategy your feeble mind has concocted and has already designed my own counter-tactics to render them completely useless. However, I will admit Tea-Girl giving you her Seiyaryu was an interesting surprise but none less ultimately pointless." Pegasus told him, revealing he knew about the card Tea gave him.
Tea gritted her teeth. Pegasus knew about Seiyaryu.
"But even without my Millennium magic, you're no match for me. After all, who needs magic with this card." Pegasus said as he reached for a card in his hand. " Perhaps you'll remember it."
Yami Yugi scowled, knowing exactly what Pegasus had in his hand.
"That's right, Yugi-Boy, it's the Magical Toon World." Pegasus smiled and placed Toon World onto the field.

That's when the familiar book appeared and popped open in pink smoke before the book's pages popped open to a dark castle.
"I thought as much." Yami Yugi said
"Why did it have to be that card?" Sonia said, knowing that the card is bad news for Yugi.
"All man, this ain't good," Joey said, feeling nervous.
"Yugi, get that card off the field as fast as you can." Tea yelled to him.
Pink smoke appeared out of the book, enveloping both Red-Archery Girl and Ryu-Ran, dragging them both into the book before it closed.
"As you recall, Toon World protects my monsters. Beneath its impenetrable hardback bindings, bindings that they'll only vacate when they're about to attack you. Ha ha ha" Pegasus explained.
Toon World then opened up its pages to a mountain where pink smoke appeared, and a toon version of Red Archery Girl and Ryu-Ran appeared.

"Oh, and seeing how all my monsters have been transformed into their super-powered toon form, it'll be an attack that's certain to leave you in stitches, ha ha ha ha" Pegasus said
The now toonified monsters giggled at Yami Yugi as if finding the idea of beating him funny.
"What's the matter Yugi-boy? Don't you have a sense of humor? Ha ha ha ha" Pegasus asked. "Manga Ryu-Ran, attack the monster Yugi placed in defense mode. Nasty Nostril Flame Attack!"
Manga Ryu-Ran inhaled air into its body, inflating it like a balloon before blowing out twin streams of fire infusing air at Yugi's unknown monster, which was revealed to be Giant Soldier of Stone. The flames completely incinerated the stone soldier causing Yami Yugi to shield himself.

Manga Ryu-Ran chuckled before flying back into Toon World; then the book closed.
"Aren't my Toons marvelous? I can't help but feel the proud satisfaction that a parent would. I guess that's my reward for creating the card." Pegasus said.
'That cheat, the Toon World card, is one of a kind. It was thought too powerful for distribution. That's how he was able to beat Kaiba with it.' Yami Yugi thought.
"Next, I think I'll switch the Toon Mermaid into ATK mode. Do you know? To let her out of her shell." Pegasus said

'If I keep playing my monsters in DEF mode, Pegasus's Toon Monsters will just keep taking them out.' Yami Yugi thought as he drew from his deck. 'My option is to go on the offensive; maybe I can find a weakness to these Toon.'
"Celtic Guardian in ATK mode!" Yami Yugi called out.
Celtic Guardian appeared on the field in a flash of light, ready for battle.

'My Celtic Guardian may not pack enough punch to beat that mermaid, but with their Attack Points at an Equal 1400, she shouldn't be able to beat him either.' Yami Yugi thought.
"That's smart, and he's trying to go for a draw." Sonia said
'Something tells me that it might not be that easy.' Tea thought, remembering Kaiba's Duel with Pegasus.
"Go Celtic Guardian! Silver Blade Slash!" Yami Yugi ordered.
Celtic Guardian charged at Toon Mermaid. He leaped into the air and struck with a downward slash. However, to everyone's shock, the clam grew arms and blocked the blade.
"Impossible?! The clam caught the attack." Yami Yugi exclaimed in shock.
"What just happened?" Sonia asked, not even sure what she has just seen.
"I don't know. That should have been a draw." Joey answered.
"I knew something was wrong, just like in Kaiba's duel." Tea said.
"Hahaha, shoulda, woulda, coulda. I'm afraid you all have to face the facts; Yugi's Guardian is the catch of the day. And the one thing I love more besides winning, that is, is a good fish fry." Pegasus laughed.
The clam grew a leg and kicked Celtic Guardian into the air; Toon Mermaid giggled as she took out her bow and arrow before firing an arrow at Celtic Guardian that destroyed the elf swordsman.

"Something isn't right with those toons." Joey growled.
"That's not fair; how is anyone supposed to win against that kinda card," Sonia said.
Yami Yugi gritted his teeth. 'Ok, maybe if I play a stronger monster.'
"Fraid not. There's no card in your deck that can beat my Toon Monsters. Sheer brute force is utterly useless." Pegasus said.
Toon Mermaid giggled along with the clam before they retreated back into Toon World.
'Then what can I do? That Millennium Eye gives Pegasus every card, thought, and strategy I come up with. How can I possibly win this duel?' Yami Yugi thought.
Turn 12
"It's my turn, Yugi-Boy." Pegasus said as he drew from his deck. "And I'll think I'll just lay down these two cards face-down."
Two of Pegasus's Spell and Trap slots then lit up.

'Great more to worry about.' Yami Yugi thought, looking at his hand. 'I have no choice but to defend, it may cost me a monster, but it's better than losing life points.'
"I placed a monster in DEF mode." Yami Yugi said to place a monster in defense.

Pegasus just chuckled. "I know you would, Yugi-Boy. That's the reason why I placed this card face-down." Pegasus said as he revealed one of his face-downs. "Behold the Trap, Gorgon's Eye! I'll think you'll find his glance most arresting."
In a flash of light a large eye covered in snakes appeared. Its eye snapped open, expelling an invisible force causing Yami's hidden monster, which was Horn Imp, to be revealed before it turned to stone.

"My Imp, he's been turned to stone." Yami Yugi shouted in shock.
"As well. Every other monster you throw in Defense mode for the Gorgon's Eye is a permanent Trap." Pegasus explained. "And whenever I destroy one of his concrete victims, half of their defense points are deducted from your life points."
"That's not good; now Yugi can't play his monsters in defense anymore." Tea scowled.
"No, don't feel bad; there is a Brightside to having fossilized monsters. They make fine garden statues, hahaha." Pegasus laughed.
Yami Yugi just grumbled, not finding Pegasus's joke funny at all.
Turn 14
"Hmm, tough crowd, I would have thought Kikyo would have taught you how to take a joke?" Pegasus stated. "Then maybe you'll lighten with my second face-down card? Doppelganger the copy card." Pegasus announced, holding up the card. "You know why he's grinning, Yugi-Boy? Cause he loves what he does and does what he loves."
'He's used that on Kaiba.' Yami Yugi thought.
"Correct, Yugi-boy!" Pegasus said, placing the card onto the field. "This allows me to copy any card I want."
The square glowed, and Doppelganger rose out of it. He then stretched of out of the arena and wrapped around Pegasus while giggling.
"Oh, I beg your pardon, any card he wants," Pegasus said. "So which card should it be today, Doppelganger?"
Doppelganger leaned in close and whispered into Pegasus' ear. "Perfect, you always have the best Ideas." Pegasus smiled. "Well, Yugi, it would seem he wants to copy that Summoned Skull that was destroyed a few turns ago."
"My Skull? he's in my graveyard." Yami Yugi remarked.
"Yes, but your graveyard pile is on the field, so it's fair game for my Doppelganger." Pegasus said, wagging his finger, which Doppelganger did the same.
"That's no good." Tea uttered, not liking this.
"Go, my furry friend." Pegasus said.
And with that, Doppelganger left Pegasus' side and entered Toon World, where his card turned into the Summoned skull. Toon Word then was enveloped in a purple aura.
"It's really something, isn't it, Yugi-Boy? I can copy one of your monsters, recruit him to my team and turn him into a toon all in one turn." Pegasus said.
Toon World started to emit lightning before the book opened to a page with spooky dark castles where more lightning was emitted from Toon World.
"And with that, a dark new chapter of Toon World has been written. The chapter of Fiends." Pegasus announced. "And here's our story's protagonist or antagonist, depending on your point of view. The Toon Summoned Skull."

The Toon Summoned Skull appeared out of Toon World, sticking its tongue out while shaking its head like a maniac. Yami Yugi just scowled at it, enraged that Pegasus had turned one of his best monsters into a monstrosity.
"What have you done to him?" Yami Yugi growled
"Nothing compared to what he's going to do to you." Pegasus said
"You're twisted, Pegasus." Yami Yugi commented. "You take such delight in creating such a monstrosity."
"Don't say that. You'll only hurt its feelings." Pegasus said. "You may not know this, but beneath that gruff exterior lies a very sensitive toon." Pegasus explained.
Toon Summoned Skull put its hands up to its face, suddenly gaining long eyelashes and lipstick. It then winked, creating a heart.
Yami Yugi just growled. "Pegasus, just move."
"Hahaha, whatever you say Yugi-Boy." Pegasus laughed. "Toon Skull Lightning strike attack!"
A bolt of lightning stuck Toon Summoned Skull, who then conducted into his claws and fired it at the fossilized Imp, smashing him into dust.

"Your Horn Imp is demolished, and since Gorgon's Eye trap fossilized him, half of his defensive power is deducted from your life points." Pegasus said.
Toon Summoned Skull began to flex his muscles before returning to Toon World.
"What splendid showmanship, eh Yugi-Boy? Perhaps I'll coerce him to do an encore a little bit later." Pegasus said.
"That creep loves to hear himself talk." Tea grumbled, annoyed by how Pegasus had turned one of Yugi's best monsters into a toon.
Joey slammed his fist onto the rail. "Come on, Yuge, pop the muscle-headed toon like a balloon."
"With the way this duel goes, I don't think Yugi can last much longer." Sonia stated.
'come on, Yugi, you can find a way to beat those Toons. You got to believe in yourself.' Tea thought.
'But how? The magic of Toon World seems impossible.' Yami Yugi thought.
"It's your turn Yugi-Boy." Pegasus called out.
Turn 15
Yami Yugi scowled before drawing from his deck. Pegasus's Millennium Eye began to glow, showing Pegasus that Yami drew Seiyaryu.
"Could the card you drew be Seiyaryu?" Pegasus asked.
"Ahh!" Yami Yugi gasped.
"Oh no, that's my card." Tea said, worried about what Pegasus could do to it.
"It was quite nice for Tea-girl to give you that card, but I wonder how long it will last with my Toon World on the field?" Pegasus questioned.
'What do I do? In a normal match, Seiyaryu would be able to overpower most of his monsters, but with that Toon World on the field and the Gorgan's eye trap as well, I can't place her into defense mode.' Yami Yugi thought. He turned to Tea, who had a painful look on her face.
He had no choice, Seiyaryu was the strongest monster he had in his hand, and if Toon Summoned Skull attacked, he wouldn't take damage cause of their equal attack strength. "I summon Seiyaryu in ATK mode." Yami Yugi said, placing the card on the console.
In a flash of light, the Pink Dragon appeared on the field, ready for battle.

"Joy, my turn again." Pegasus commented as he drew from his deck. When he saw what he drew, he kept his smirk to himself. 'Yugi, I know what you're thinking. Thanks to my Millennium Eye, you believe that playing Seiyaryu in ATK will keep most of my toons at bay; even though both Seiyaryu and Toon Summoned Skull attack power are equal long as she's in ATK mode, you'll be safe from my Gorgon's Eye. If it wasn't for this card''
"I'll activate a little nifty spell known as Comic Hand." Pegasus said as he placed the card on the console.
"What's that?" Yami Yugi uttered, having never seen that card before.
"Well, let's just say it will give me a hand in this Duel." Pegasus said.
Toon World suddenly opened, and a sizeable white-gloved hand popped out of it, shocking Yami Yugi and the others as it grabbed Seiyaryu before retreating back to Toon World, dragging Seiyaryu into it.
"Did you see that?" Sonia asked.
"Yeah, that hand just snatched up Seiyaryu." Joey said.
"As you just witnessed, thanks to Comic Hand, I'm able to capture a monster on your side of the field and turn it into a Toon, and it's a pretty Handy card, don't you think hahaha." Pegasus laughed. "Now, everyone, give a fabulous welcome to Toon Seiyaryu." Pegasus announced
Toon World then popped open, releasing a pilar of blue flames from its pages, and out of the pillar, a small pink dragon with blue eyes and a small feathered tail appeared, giggling.

"What has he done to her?" Tea demanded angrily that one of her best monsters was turned into a toon.
"Tea-Girl seems to be upset? I wonder why? After all, I made Seiyaryu more adorable." Pegasus said
"Grr." Yami Yugi could only growl. He had let Pegasus take away one of Tea's best cards, a card she gave to him as a sign of their friendship, and not only that, he had another Toon Monster to deal with.
Back with Tristan and Yami Bakura, who was running up a spiraling staircase to avoid the guards.
"Hey, Bakura! How did you do that? With that Magic Card?" Tristan asked.
"Not now; those guards are still after us." Yami Bakura said.
"Alright, but you're going to explain later." Tristan said.
They stopped at the door, Tristan tried to open it, but it was locked. "Damn, the doors locked, come." he said as he and Yami Bakura continued to run up the stairs.
As they climbed Tristan, then saw a doorway with a light. "Look a way out." Tristan said, thinking they had found the exit; he ran out.
"Oh no!" Tristan shouted; seeing that the exit led to a long fall, he flailed his arms out of fear.
"I got you!" Yami Bakura said as he grabbed the back of Tristan's coat and pulled him back in.
Tristan sighed in relief. "Thanks, Bakura. I owe you one," Tristan said as he looked down. "I guess Pegasus didn't see fit to put a warning sign on this door!"
"Hey, sis, I've been meaning to ask you something." Shenlong asked
"Don't tell me you are in love with me." Kasumi teased.
Shenlong just frowned. "As if records state that Kikyo defeated Pegasus, right?"
"Yes, she was the only one to beat Pegasus, earning her the title of Queen of Duel Monsters. Why do you ask?" Kasumi said.
"But Pegasus would also have gotten his Millenium Eye by that point, correct?" Shenlong continued, "How could she defeat him when the duel is so one-sided?" Shenlong asked as he narrowed down his eyes at his own sister.
"Well, it was because, just like Yugi, She assembled the 5 pieces of Exodia, which allowed her to beat him, but I think I get what you are saying." Kasumi said.
"Indeed, surely Pegasus would have done some countermeasures before she assembled all five pieces." Shenlong said, now more confused than ever.
"I don't know, he should be able to counter that, but he didn't. You think he didn't use his Item during that duel?" Kasumi asked.
Shenlong shrugged his shoulders. "By the way, are you sure that those two brats would be all undercover at KaibaCorp?" Shenlong asked
"I have complete faith in Lisa and Tracy; they'll keep an eye on those old fools." Kasumi said.
"If you say so." Shenlong said as he turned his attention back to the duel.
'I don't know what to do, and I can't attack those Toons while they're in that magic book. And the Gorgon's Eye prevents me from placing monsters in defense mode, or they'll turn to stone. It just seems so hopeless.' Yami Yugi thought,
"It certainly does." Pegasus said
Yami Yugi just growled in irritation.
"Oh, sorry. Were you having a private conversation with yourself? I'm so gauche. I must really learn not to butt into other people's business." Pegasus smirked, "After all, accepting defeat is a personal matter."
Yami Yugi growled once more.
"Don't listen to him, Yugi. Remember, there's a lot at stake here." Joey said.
"Your mother, Grandfather, and the Kaiba Brothers." Sonia said.

'They're right, and I can't forget who I'm fighting for.' Yami Yugi thought as images of his mom, grandpa, and the Kaiba brothers appeared in his mind. 'To save the souls of mom, grandpa, Kaiba, and Mokuba too. I can't give in.'
Back with Tristan and Yami Bakura, who looked out the door. "Well, looks like jumping is out of the question; we're pretty much caught," Tristan said.
"Hey, there they are." A guard called out from the bottom of the stairs.
Tristan turned around and sighed. "Well, we tried." he said.
"What do you mean we tried? We aren't captured yet." Yami Bakura asked, surprised hearing Tristan say that.
"We're completely outmanned and outnumbered." Tristan said.
"We won't be after I enlist help from the Shadow Realm." Yami Bakura said as he reached into his pocket.
"Shadow Realm?" Tristan asked, feeling like he had heard that before and knew it couldn't be good.
'I can't give up. If I do, I'll lose those four forever. And Pegasus will be free to continue his evil ways with no one to stand in his way. I can't give up, even if it is hopeless. I must find a way to save my friends.' Yami Yugi thought.
'Your friends? Hahaha, Yugi-Boy, you can't even save yourself.' Pegasus thought.
Turn 17
Yami Yugi drew, and Pegasus' Eye showed him what it was.
"I see you've drawn the fable Dark Magician." Pegasus smirked.
Yami Yugi growled.
"Your favorite card if I'm not mistaken?" Pegasus asked. "His defeat should be especially painful for you. I so look forward when you put him into play Yugi-Boy." Pegasus chuckled. 'And I can crush him.' Pegasus thought
'I'm trapped.' Yami Yugi thought, knowing he couldn't do much with Toon World and the Gorgon's Eye on the field. 'But maybe this combo might.'
"I summon Dark Magician in attack mode." Yami Yugi said, placing his favorite monster on the field.
In a flash of light, Dark Magician appeared on the field.

"Now the Magician is safe from those wigged-out toons." Joey smirked.
"No, I'm afraid it isn't that simple." Tea said, getting their attention. "Even if Pegasus didn't read Yugi's mind, he still has double the chance to attack thanks to that Toon Seiyaryu."
"Ahh, she's right. Pegasus has a 50/50 shot of finding the Dark Magician." Sonia gasped.
"Hmmm, 50/50? I wouldn't have to guess. If you think your Dark Magician is safe, then you are wrong." Pegasus smiled.
"Huh?" Yami Yugi uttered.
"Don't get it, I know you are trying to stall so you can find a way to over come my Toon World." Pegasus said. "And there is no secret you can conceal from me, all I need to do is probe your feeble mind and I'll know where the Dark Magician is."
"Ahh!" Yami Yugi gasped.
"Or have you forgotten the power of my Millennium Eye? Why don't you quit now and save yourself from an embarrassing defeat." Pegasus said, "Prepare yourself, Yugi-Boy. Here I come."
'What do I do? I'll be finished if Pegasus reads my mind and reveals the Dark Magician. There has to be a way, and there has too.' Yami Yugi thought, clenching his eyes shut.
"Yugi, come on, keep yourself together." Joey called out.
"Don't give up Yugi; everyone is counting on you." Sonia called out
"An-Zu-Oh!" Tea shouted as she transformed into Hikari Tea. With that, the millennium star releases its energy that cocoons her as it changes her body as their two souls become one. Then energy returns to the millennium star revealing Hikari Tea.
"Yugi, you can't give up. Pegasus may have the power of his eye, but remember you have the power of your puzzle, and that is what will beat him." Hikari Tea called out.
'Wait, she's right, I do have power. The power of my Millennium Puzzle that merges me with the spirit within.' Yugi said, separating himself from Yami Yugi.
{spirit! Listen to me!} Yugi called out.
Yami Yugi's eyes widened. {Yugi! I can feel Pegasus trying to claw his way into our minds, I can't keep him out!)
{I know, but I have an idea. My grandpa told me that in order to defeat Pegasus, I and Tea need to harness the power of our Millenium Items. I thought he was referring to either your or Tea's spirit and the way we merge with you, both normal and together, we could win, but I was wrong. He said to trust in the power of our items, not you.}
Just then, both Yugi and Yami Yugi were in the hallway of their shared mind. With one door opened.
"What are you saying, Yugi?" Yami Yugi asked.
"Spirit, if I'm to have any chance at beating Pegasus, I'm afraid I'm going to have to banish you from the corridors of my mind!" Yugi said firmly.
Yami Yugi was taken aback by Yugi's words. "Yugi, if we don't work together, we won't stand a chance."
"I know, but if we keep dueling the way we have been, we'll lose." Yugi stated.
"What do you mean?" Yami Yugi asked.
"Ok, hear me out. We're losing cause Pegasus can read our merged minds. Since we're working together. That's the wrong strategy for us to use in this particular game. If we keep our spirits merged, Pegasus' mind-reading powers will beat us, and then everybody loses."
"Including both Teas." Yami Yugi said, knowing that if they lost, Pegasus would go after them for the Millenium Star.
"I know, but I have plan." Yugi grinned.
"Well it better be a good one, many lives are at stake." Yami Yugi said.
"I know, but I think it'll work. It will allow us to prevent Pegasus from reading our thoughts." Yugi said.
"Tell me quickly then." Yami Yugi said. "I could already feel Pegasus pushing at our mind. Trying to probe our thoughts."
"Okay, this is it." Yugi said "Each time we play a card, Pegasus reads our mind. What if we keep our minds separate and then switch our minds back and forth?"
"Ah, switch minds." Yami Yugi said. "So your saying we won't merge our spirits as we usually do? Instead, we keep our thoughts separate?" Yami Yugi asked, "Secret, even from each other."
Yugi nodded. "A dangerous move." Yami Yugi said. "But it just might work."
"Alright, let's do this." Yugi said
The Millenium Puzzle began to glow just as Pegasus called out his attack.
"Toon Summoned Skull emerges from the safety of Toon World and attacks the Hat on the far left." Pegasus ordered.
Toon World popped open with Toon Summoned Skull emerging while spinning. It laughed before firing a lightning strike from the tips of its wings and destroying the far left Hat.
"Dark Magician has performed his last trick." Pegasus said.
"Maybe Pegasus, or maybe you're losing your touch." Yugi called out.
Pegasus looked at his console and saw Dark Magician was still in play. "Hmm, What's this?! Yugi-Boy's life points are unaffected, and the Dark Magician is still on the field? Impossible! I've just read his mind. His magician had to be under that hat." Pegasus said

"Or maybe your mind-reading powers aren't as all-seeing as you claim them to be?" Yugi mocked.
"You dare mock the awesome powers of my Millennium eye? You go too far, Yugi boy." Pegasus remarked.
"Hey Sonia, you get what Yugi's saying?" Joey asked.
"I don't know, and this is all too weird for me," Sonia added before turning to Tea, who had swapped with Hikari Tea.
"It has to do with Yugi's other spirit, and he's using the power of his Millenium Puzzle to swap their minds." Tea answered.
"Wait, I get it. When Pegasus tries to read one of their minds, the other will swap out so they can keep Pegasus from reading their mind." Sonia said.
"So, tag team, huh?" Joey said.
"You gained nothing from your attack, Pegasus, cause even with your magic, you can't win." Yugi said as he held up his puzzle. "You aren't the only one with Millenium Item. Now let's see how well your Eye measures up to the power of my Puzzle."
"Go for it Yugi." Tea said.
{beat him Yami.} Hikari Tea said.
"I sure hope he knows what he's doing, and we know so little about his Millenium Puzzle." Sonia said.
"Millennium Puzzle, Millennium Smuzzle." Joey said. "I wish I could help him, but no, I have to watch while my best friend battles his toughest duel."
"Yugi-boy, have you forgotten already? I can attack twice." Pegasus said. "Toon Seiyaryu, emerge from Toon World and destroy the middle hat with Holy Flame!"
With that Toon, Seiyaryu popped out of the toon world this time giggling as she took a deep breath, inflating some before releasing a stream of fire as she deflated at the middle hat incinerating it.

'I must have gotten the Dark Magician this time.' Pegasus thought, only to see that he hit another empty hat.
"Looks like you guessed wrong again Pegasus." Yugi said.
Pegasus grit his teeth in frustration "Fine, I end my turn, so go take your last turn cause when your turn is finished, so is your Dark Magician."
"Wait, what does Pegasus mean by that?" Joey asked.
"You dummy, Yugi only got two hats left, and Pegasus has two toons that can destroy the Dark Magician, so on Pegasus's next turn, it doesn't matter which hat he attacks; Dark Magician is toast along with Yugi!" Sonia exclaimed, making Joey realize she was right.
"It's not over yet, guys Yugi still has this turn, and now Pegasus can't read his mind meaning the playing field is finally evened." Tea reminded them.
"Maybe, but if Yugi doesn't do something this turn, it's all over." Sonia said, feeling like this was an unwinnable situation.
"Come on, Yuge, you can beat that sleaze ball!" Joey called out, believing Yugi still had a chance to win.
{what they draw could decide the duel and fate of Pegasus prisoners; it's all in the heart of the cards' hands now.} Hikari told Tea, who nodded. Everything was riding on this draw.
Turn 18
Yugi could feel the pressure, he needed something to stop at least one of Pegasus's attacks, or the duel was over. He thought about his grandpa, the Kaiba Brothers, and his mom.
'Please, Heart of the Cards; everyone help me.' Yugi thought as he reached for the deck. Silhouettes of all his friends and family overlapped him and his hand as he drew his card.
'Perfect, thank you.' Yugi thought as he smiled and looked at the card that could turn the duel around.
"I lay one card face down and end my turn. Pegasus, do you know what the card is that I just drew laid on the field? Just use your Millennium Eye to read my mind, that is, if you think you can?" Yugi challenging Pegasus

Pegasus just growled. "Grr, there is nothing you can hide from me?" He said, activating his eye. "We will see about that," Yugi said as he activated his puzzle. as Pegasus delved into Yugi's mind to see the card, but he couldn't tell what it was. "What?! I can't tell what that card is."
"Hmm, hmm, I don't know what that face-down card is either." Yami Yugi stated. "Reading my mind has yielded you absolutely nothing."
'How? How is he doing this?' Pegasus questioned.
"You see Pegasus. I don't know what that card is because I am no longer Yugi Muto but someone else altogether. However, the magic of the millennium puzzle two minds inhabit this body. Now every time you try to read one of our minds, we'll use the Mind Shuffle!" Yami Yugi declared
'Mind Shuffle?!' Pegasus thought, his eyes widened.
"What did I tell you? Yugi is dueling Pegasus with two minds." Tea smiled.
"And with two minds, Pegasus won't be able to read his strategies." Sonia grinned.
"Guess the old saying is true, two minds are better than one." Joey said with a grin
"Actually, it's two heads." Sonia corrected him.
"Same thing Sonia." Joey remarked.
Pegasus grit his teeth again at Yugi's attempt to stop his mind reading before taking a second to calm down "Well, I know one thing for sure you're thinking that your Dark Magician is finished cause if Toon Seiyaryu doesn't get him Toon Summoned Skull will."
Meanwhile, back with Tristan and Yami Bakura, who the guards still cornered.
"Give it up, punk, now hand over Mokuba." one of the guards demanded.
"There's nowhere to go." another said. "So give us our prisoner, and we might let you live."
"Bakura, he's right." Tristan said.
"So what's it going to be, punk!" the first guard asked as they pointed their guns at them.
Yami Bakugan began to laugh. "Foolish mortals, we've only just begun to play, and I'll show you what the cards have in store," he said, holding up his deck.
Tristan just looked at Yami Bakura. 'Somethings up with Bakura. Why is he acting all weird?' then he remembered another time this had happened. 'Now I remember that night when that evil Bakura brought us to the shadow realm, I thought it was all a dream, but I guess it really did happen.' Knew this couldn't end well.
"I'll teach you all the true meaning of fear as I summon my Man-Eater Bug." Yami Bakura said as he held up the monster card. "With the power of my Millennium Ring!" The Millennium Ring glowed brightly, blinding both Tristan and the Guards. As the Man-Eater Bug enters the human realm
"What's going on?" Tristan asked; his vision occurred by the blinding light.
The light also blinded the guards; when the light died, they were shocked to see the Man-Eater Bug on top of the stairs in front of Yami Bakura.
"Oh no, he's brought the monster on the card to life." Guard 1 shouted, "And he's gonna sic it on us."
"Now, you mortal fools prepared to meet your doom." Yami Bakura chuckled
The Man-Eater Bug roared before it crawled toward the guards, who began to fire at the monster, but they bounced off its exoskeleton. "It's not working! Run!" one of the guards shouted. They tried to run, but the Man-Eater Bug smashed into them.
Yami Bakura chuckled at their cry of fear and horror. "Present-day mortals are fun to terrorize, don't you agree?"
"I don't think I do since I am a 'present-day mortal,'" Tristan answered. "But what does that make you?"
Yami Bakura chuckled darkly. "Me? I am a being with great power and soon to gain even more." he answered before taking out another card, a Morphing Jar. "but I don't have time to be having fun; I have important things to do." he said throwing the card into the air. "So I'll summon the Morphing Jar to this plane and end their pathetic whining."
In a black twister, the Morphing Jar appeared with its creepy grin as it made it way toward the guards who were being tortured by the Man-Eater Bug. one of the guards noticed it and screeched.
"What is that?!" The guard shouted as the Morphing Jar opened its mouth and devoured all the guards who screamed.
"The Jar's Magic will transport them to the graveyard." Yami Bakura said darkly.
Tristan just looked on in horror, and he actually felt bad for the guard. A fate like that wasn't good for anyone.
the guards came to and found themselves in a graveyard. "Where the hell are we?" one of them asked.
That is when they saw a figure flying toward them, the Card Reaper. " And what the hell is that thing!" the guard yelled as the rest screamed as the Card Reaper descended on them
Turn 19
"Still trying to read my mind Pegasus?" Yami Yugi taunted. "Go ahead."
"No thanks, Yugi-boy, my mind-scanning powers is only one skill I have. Besides, don't think that trick or yours to protect your mind will save you it came a little too late cause while you can protect your mind, you can't protect your Dark Magician and once he is gone, so are your chances of winning." Pegasus said.
"Are you so sure about that Pegasus?" Yami Yugi challenged him. " Why don't you attack, and we will find out."
"Fine, you asked for this Yugi-boy." Pegasus said.
'I hope Yugi has a move to make.' Yami Yugi thought as he swapped.
"Toon Seiyaryu attack the hat on-" Pegasus was about to declare an attack when he was interrupted.
"Not so fast, Pegasus I reveal my face down card Double Down." Yugi said as his card showed two Magical Hats being swapped around.
"Double Down?!" Pegasus gasped, and his eye widened.
"Double Down?" Joey questioned.
"What does that card do?" Sonia asked.
Before Tea could explain, Yugi continued, "What's wrong, Pegasus? You said you knew every card in my deck or did this one slip your mind if so, let me give you a refresher. It is simple. I can only use this card if Magical Hats is on my field, and now you got to guess which hat holds a monster or, in this case, my Magician is under. Guess correctly, and all my remaining hats disappear leaving my Magician vulnerable but if you pick the wrong hat then instead, my field will be filled up with hats, and you have to go through all my hats again."

This new predicament took Pegasus, he had two choices, and if he guessed wrong, he would have to go through Yugi's annoying hats again, and normally something like this wouldn't be an issue, but thanks to that Mind Shuffle, he actually has to guess and hope he's right.
Suddenly Hikari Tea swapped with Tea, and she smirked with her arms crossed. "It seems that you have relied on your Millenium Eye for so long that your Dueling Instincts have all diminished; you better hope you are lucky, Pegasus, cause if not, you're in for another disappearing act from Yugi's Dark Magician."
"Alright, Yugi!" Joey cheered, pumping his fist.
"It's still a gamble; let's just hope Pegasus doesn't guess right." Sonia said, sweat dripping down her forehead
Pegasus bit his lip as he looked between the two hats and decided. "It's the Hat on the left side of your field. That's the one your Dark Magician is hiding under."
"Well then, let's find out, Pegasus." Yugi said With that, the left slowly rose as everyone held their breath, waiting to see the result, and the hat was empty.
"No!" Pegasus howled in rage.
"Yeah!" Joey cheered.
"I didn't doubt at all!" Sonia cheered as well; they hugged each other and jumped up and down.
Hikari Tea smiled. {I knew they would do it.} she was happy that both Yugi and Yami had survived the turn.
{Me too.} Tea agreed.
"Sorry, Pegasus, looks like my Magician was in the right hat." Yugi told him as right the right hat lifted, revealing his Dark Magician. "Meaning it's time for him to disappear once under some new hats." with that, a new hat covered the Dark Magician while making four other copies of itself on the field

"You have failed Pegasus and with the Dark Magician hidden again. I will defeat you." Yugi declared.
"Don't get cocky, Yugi-boy I can still get your Dark Magician making that little trick of yours pointless," Pegasus said.
"Then go ahead, Pegasus. Maybe you might have better luck finding my Magician than you did with your last guess."
"Toon Seiyaryu, destroy the hat on the far right with Holy Flame." Pegasus growled.
Toon Seiyaryu emerged from Toon World, unleashed its blue fire at the far right hat, and burnt it to ashes; to Pegasus's anger and frustration, it was empty. "I missed again?" Pegasus gritted his teeth.
"Seems like you're having a string of bad luck, Pegasus, or maybe, as Tea said, you lost your natural instinct. Either way, it seems like you just can't find my Dark Magician." Yami Yugi, who had switched again with Yugi.
Pegasus gritted his teen at seeing they had swapped minds again. "Toon Summoned Skull, destroy the hat on the far left." Pegasus ordered.
Toon Summoned Skull popped out of Toon World, laughed, unleashed its lightning strike onto the far left hat, and destroyed it. As the smoke cleared again, it was yet another empty hat.
"Damn! I'm getting annoyed!" Pegasus grumbled.
"Looks like that strike three for you, Pegasus, and my Magician is safe for another turn." Yami Yugi smirked.
"Grr," Pegasus growled and reluctantly ended his turn. "It doesn't matter, Yugi-boy, for as long as Toon World is on the field, my monsters are invincible, and you can't keep your mage hidden for long."

"Fine, Pegasus, but first I think-" Yami was saying as the Millennium puzzle activated and did another mind switch. "A quick change is in order." Yugi said, having switched with his alter ego.
"Grr, you switched again." Pegasus growled.
"That's right, Pegasus." Yugi said as he drew a card. "And our mind shuffle strategy is working perfectly." Yugi saw he had drawn the Living Arrow. 'Yes, the Living Arrow could just be the card I need to stop those Toons if Pegasus plays the right card.' Yugi thought as he played it face down. "I'm setting this card face down and ending my turn."

Pegasus looks between three hats and quickly says. " It's the middle hat." The hats then raised again, revealing it was the right hat this time.
"Once more, you guessed wrong, Pegasus, and my Magician is hidden from your sight by the magical hats." Yami told him as the new hats hid his Magician.

"But Yugi has to do something other than stall Pegasus with his Magical Hats combo cause. Eventually, he will find Dark Magician, just one lucky break, and it's over," Sonia said.
Tea looked at Yugi. She knew Sonia was right that all it would take was a lucky hit, and the duel was over, but she felt that Yugi was already working on the way to beat those toons.
"Yugi-boy, this turn will be your Dark Magician's last. Toon Mermaid attacks the hat on the far right with Flaming Arrow." Pegasus ordered. The mermaid clam popped out of the safety of Toon World, giggling. She then held up a torch and lit her arrow, which she fired at the empty hat.
"Now, Toon Manga Ryu-Ran, your turn; attack the hat on the far right with Fire Stream attack." Pegasus ordered just like Toon Mermaid, and Manga Ryu-Ran popped out of the safety of Toon World laughing and unleashed a stream of fire, destroying the hat, which was also empty.
"Looks like Pegasus decided to take advantage of his numbers to find the Dark Magician." Sonia said, getting nervous seeing Yugi hats being destroyed like that.
"Wait, if this keeps up, Yug would only have one hat left at the end of his turn, meaning?" Joey realizes
"It means the Double Down card will not take effect since it would be impossible for Pegasus to guess wrong." Tea said grimly.
"Looks like your friends caught on to the situation you are in now, so let's continue. Toon Summoned Skull attack the hat on the right with lightning strike attack."
Toon Summon Skull, Emerged from Toon World, unleashed its Lightning Strike attack, and destroyed the right hat; as the smoke settled, it was revealed that it was empty.
"Well, Yugi-Boy, it would seem you have only two hats left, meaning your Magician has to be under one of them, so let's find out which Toon Seiyaryu attacked the hat on the left. and."
Toon Seiraryu popped out of Toon World, unleashed its Holy Fire, and destroyed the hat on the left, which was the last empty hat.

'This isn't good. One more attack, and it's over.' Yami Yugi thought.
"Well Yugi-boy, looks like that is the end of your hat tricks." Pegasus said smugly.
"Are you sure?" Yami Yugi said.
'No, he couldn't have another card that works with magical hats, could he?' Pegasus thought he couldn't have it had to be a bluff.
"You're bluffing. There's no way you don't even know what that face down is!" Pegasus said angrily.
"True, but neither do you meaning it could be for all we know." Yami said as confidently as he could.
Pegasus gritted his teeth, he didn't know what that card was and how it could affect his Toon Monsters, or it was another card meant to hide the Dark Magician again. "It doesn't matter, Yugi-Boy. By the next turn, your Magician is finished." Pegasus said, ending his turn.
Turn 21
Yami Yugi knew that it came down to this turn; if Yugi failed to stop Pegasus and his toons, it was all over.
'It's up to you now, Yugi.' Yami Yugi said as they did the mind shuffle and put Yugi in control.
'It all comes down to this, draw.' Yugi thought as he drew. Yugi looked at the card and smirked, getting an idea. " Pegasus my Magician, will survive your next turn, thanks to my magical hat."
"What?!" Pegasus gasped.
"If you don't believe me why don't you try reading my mind though we both know how that will end."
"You think Yugi has a strategy." Joey asked.
"He better, or else this is his last turn." Sonia said
'Yugi must have a reason to tell Pegasus that is he trying to bait him?' Tea thought.
"I'll place this face-down, and I'll see you later Pegasus." Yugi said, placing the card face-down as he switched with Yami Yugi.

Yami Yugi looked at the console and saw Yugi had played another card hoping whatever the face downs were would stop Pegasus attacks. It was all down to fate, and there was no turning back.
Turn 22
Pegasus drew his card and saw he got the perfect card to put an end to any plans Yugi-boy had with his magical hats and to end the duel finally.
"Eureka. This card will devastate your Dark Magician, Magical Hats, and Double Down combo. Behold Magical Neutralizing Force Field!" Pegasus said as he played his card.
"Ahh!" Yami Yugi gasped at the sight of his last Magical Hat beginning to vanish. "The last of the Magical Hats is evaporating!" Yami Yugi said in concern as his Magician protection was gone!

"Since that trap card of yours needed those hats to work you can say goodbye to it as well along with any plans you had with them." Pegasus mocked.
"Oh no, that means Yugi's backup won't work." Joey said.
'No, I feel that Pegasus is in for a rude awakening.' Tea thought.
"It's all over for your Magician, and Toon Seiyaryu. Show them the face of victory." Pegasus said as Toon Seiyaryu popped out of Toon World and grabbed the edges of her face and sticks out her tongue at both Yami Yugi and Dark Magician.
'He's right, and there's nothing I can do.' Yami Yugi thought in frustration but remembered. 'unless…'
"Now Toon Seiyaryu devastated the Dark Magician! Holy Fire!" Pegasus ordered.
Toon Seiyaryu inhaled like a balloon and unleashed purple fireballs at the Dark Magician,
'I don't have a plan, but Yugi might.' Yami Yugi thought as the Millenium Puzzle glowed and Yugi appeared.
"Pegasus!" Yugi yelled as he took control.
'Damnit! They switched again!' Pegasus thought.
"I defend my Magician with one of my face-down cards, the spell card Living Arrow." Yugi said as a golden arrow appeared on his field.
"WHAT your face down card was the Living Arrow!" Pegasus said in shock.
"Alright!" Tea cheered, the Living Arrow card was the perfect counter to Toon World and with what Pegasus had just played, it was over. "This is the break he needed."
"That's right, that was my secret card, and since you're the creator of Duel Monsters, you must know all about the LIving Arrow and that I can fuse it with any card you've played," Yugi explained.
"Regardless if it was a monster, trap, or spell." Yugi continued as he swapped minds again over to Yami Yugi, who took over. "We thwarted your mind-probing powers, and now we'll use your very own spell card against you. Pegasus, I use the Living Arrow to merge with your Magical Neutralizing Force and direct it at Toon World!: Yami Yugi said as Living Arrow absorb the power of the spell it charged straight into Toon World as bright light started shining.
Pegasus' mouth was agape, but he smirked. "It doesn't matter, and your Dark Magician will still fall prey to my Toon Seiyaryu Attack."
The fireballs appeared to hit Dark Magician Pegasus smirked. "Your Dark Magician is vanquished."
But Yami Yugi swapped with Yugi, who smirked. "Sorry, Pegasus, but you forgot about my other down card." Yugi said as he revealed Mirror Force. "And it's one of my favorites, the Trap Card Mirror Force,"
'A trap!' Pegasus thought as it was revealed that Dark Magician was safely protected by a barrier of light stopping the fireballs in their tracks.
"Yes, this card catches your attack and sends it right back at you, and with Toon World now gone, your monsters return to their original forms just in time to catch the blast!" Yugi explained. The barrier that was protecting the Dark Magician and holding the fireballs back launched them back toward Pegasus' side of the field.
But before the attack could finish, Toon World suddenly opened up once more and ejected Seiyaryu, the original, out as the book closed again as it broke apart, releasing the remaining monsters.
"Hey, that book just coughed up Seiyaryu." Sonia said in surprise.
"Yeah, and she's back to normal too. Why did that happen?" Joey asked, confused.
"It's Magical Neutralizing Force Field, it canceled the effect of Comic Hand." Tea uttered, happy her monster was back to her normal self.
"Pegasus did you forget that your spell takes out all spell cards on the opponent's field? Since Seiyaryu originally was on my side of the field, she comes back to me." Yugi explained
The Pink Dragon returned to Yugi's side of the field and roared just as Pegasus Toon Monsters' monsters returned to their original forms and were struck by the Holy Fire, and Pegasus could only watch as his beloved monsters were burned to ashes.
"No!" Pegasus exclaimed at sight.

"No all my beloved toons, this can't be true." Pegasus shouted in dismay,
"We did it, all the Toons are destroyed." Yugi smiled.
{Yes, and it was your plan, Yugi. I'm very proud of you, and I'm sure Kikyo is also.} Yami Yugi congratulated him.
{They did it; I knew they would prevail.} Hikari Tea said.
Tea nodded in agreement; it may have looked bad for a while but now that Toon World was gone, Yugi could defeat Pegasus now. Soon Kikyo and the others would be free from his clutches.
"Scoreboard reads, Yugi Muto 900 and Pegasus 600, sorry sir." Croquet announced while apologizing.
Pegasus scowled while placing his hand against his chin. 'Yugi-boy has proved formidable indeed. And his Millenium Puzzle is more intriguing than I thought, and I have no doubt Tea-girl's Star is quite similar as well.'
"Alright." Joey cheered, pumping his fist. "You're in the lead, Yuge."
"And with those childish Toons out of the picture, Yugi will have no trouble winning." Sonia said.
Back with Tristan, who had walked down the stairs looking at where the guards once stood. Still unnerved by what he had just witnessed, he knew that this guy wasn't the Bakura he knew. It was the evil spirit that had trapped him and the others in cards.
"There is not a single particle of those fools left in this dimension. I hate having obstacles in my way; remember that." Yami Bakura said, standing above Tristan.
Tristan turned to see the evil spirit smirking. He kept his cool and spoke. "I don't want to know how you did that, and I know you aren't my friend. You're that Evil Spirit. Yugi kicked your ass and sent you to the graveyard."
"That wouldn't have happened if Bakura hadn't betrayed me." Yami Bakura remarked as he began to walk past Tristan, who glared at him. "I need a new vessel."
"You won't get my body without a fight." Tristan said even with those powers of his, he wouldn't go down so easily against the spirit.
"Hehehe, it's not you; I'm after." Yami Bakura said, darkly turning to Tristan.
Tristan's eyes widened, realizing what he meant. "You're after Mokuba."
"That's right, now hand over the boy. Or else suffer the same fate as those guards." Yami Bakura threatened.
Tristan looked at the sunglasses and scowled. He wasn't going to give Mokuba to him, but he didn't have that many options. He turned and glared at the spirit, who smirked at him,
Meanwhile Red-Eyes Queen was still carrying Kaiba's body. She was lucky not to have run into any guards, and it would be difficult to defend his body if multiple men were coming at her. She decided to rest for a bit, placing Kaiba gently down on the ground.
"I need to take a rest." Red-Eyes Queen said to herself.
She looked at Kaiba's body and sighed. "You know, you wouldn't be in this situation if you had listened to Jameser and Yugi and not dueled. However, that wouldn't have stopped you nothing would have," she said, but of course, she wouldn't have backed down either their pride as duelists wouldn't have allowed that. "Well, at least we're even now."
"Hey, you!" a voice called out, making her shoot to her feet. She saw a guard pointing a gun at her. "Step away from the body and surrender." he ordered her.
Red-Eyes Queen didn't say anything, she knew she was busted, and the guard could alert the others. "Heh, sorry, but no…" she said as she quickly took a card out of her deck box and tossed it at the guard's hand, it cut into it, making him yelp dropping his gun to the ground.
"You bitch!" the guard cursed in anger as he rushed at Red-Eyes Queen.
In response, she held up her arms, not seeing a way around this. The guard threw a punch at her, which she quickly dodged to the side before she delivered a roundhouse kick which the guard avoided before he rushed at her and delivered a quick hook which Red-Eyes Queen narrowly avoided.
Red-Eyes Queen glared at the guard. "Trying to hit a girl? Have you no shame?" Red-Eyes Queen taunted.
"Grr." The guard just growled before rushing at her.
Red-Eye Queen narrowly dodged the next few punches before one connected with the right side of her helmet, knocking her to the ground. The guard smirked at his handy work. As she got up, pieces of red glass and black plastic fell to the ground when she got to her feet. Red-Eyes Queen turned to face the guard with her broken right eye lens, revealing her glaring hazel eye.
"Ok, I'm done playing." Red-Eyes Queen said in a calm voice before slowly walking towards the guard.
"Aw, did I break your little helmet?" the guard said mockingly.
Red-Eyes Queen said nothing but just kept walking towards the guard. "You think I'm scared of you, girly? It's time I put you to bed!" the guard said as he rushed at her, but Red-Eyes Queen quickly vanished behind him before she delivered a roundhouse kick to the head, knocking the guard out cold.
She continued to glare at the unconscious guard; she then reached up to where her lens used to be. "Damn, it's going to cost a bit of money to get this fixed. Oh well, Kasumi owes me a favor anyway," she said. She looked down the hall seeing her vision was foggy in her right eye, she shook her head. "I need to get Seto out of here. but It'll be hard now that I've lost vision in one eye."
She picked up Kaiba once again, supporting him on her shoulder before making her way down the hallway, hoping to get as much space between her and the unconscious guard as possible.
Back at DragonCorps, both Kasumi and Shenlong were impressed with how Yugi turned the tables and even the score.
"Impressive." Shenlong said,
"Yes, Yugi was able to not only prevent Pegasus from reading his mind and take out his toons as well." Kasumi acknowledged.
"Those Millennium Items are something." Shenlong admitted.
"You should know you almost got killed by one when you invaded the tomb to get the tablet." Kasumi told him.
Shenlong growled, remembering when he invaded the tomb of the nameless Pharoh to get the Supreme King Tablet, he was nearly killed by one of those items and was forced to leave it behind. He cursed those items and the power they possessed. "Don't remind me." Shenlong snarled
"Sorry." Kasumi said sincerely.
Shenlong quickly recomposed himself.
Kasumi decided to change the subject. "With Toon World gone, Pegasus won't last much longer."
Shenlong narrowed his eyes as they turned reptilian. "Hard to say, normally you would be right. However, I feel he has more tricks up his sleeve than just Mind Reading and those Toons." Shenlong replied.
Kasumi just nodded before turning back to the screen.
Back at the duel, Pegasus had just pulled himself together. "Yugi, I'm impressed." Pegasus said, complimenting Yugi.
"Huh?" Yugi murmured
"When I first met you, you were just another boy who showed some faint dueling promise. But with my gentle guidance, well, just look at you now. You're just one step away from becoming World Champion. You've been to the Shadow Realm and back, and most importantly, you have finally begun to master the power of your Millennium Puzzle." Pegasus said, "And you see, Yugi-Boy, for me, that's what this whole tournament has been about." Pegasus said as his Millennium Eye was revealed, glowing along with darkness rising over the battlefield. "For I plan to take possession of your puzzle." Pegasus revealed.
"My puzzle?" Yugi said
{No!} Yami Yugi said.
"Yes! You and I will finish this duel in the Shadow Realm Yugi, and this time its winner takes all." Pegasus said.
Back at DragonCorps, Shenlong's eyes narrowed even further. "Curse that bastard." Shenlong growled, still remembering the wounds from when he nearly died back at that accursed tomb.
"There's nothing we can do, and the Shadow Realm is inaccessible to us." Kasumi scowled.
Shenlong just snarled in contempt, his dragon veins clearly enraged. "By the way, how're our two little spies doing?" Shenlong asked, referring to Lisa and Tracy.
"The old men are getting irritable after that last turn." Kasumi answered.
"I bet. Should I just order them to eliminate them now?" Shenlong suggests.
"No, our best course is to let this play out and see if Yugi can defeat Pegasus." Kasumi said, crossing her arms.
Shenlong growled. "Fine. Should I contact both Lisa and Tracy to return back?" Shenlong asked,
"Yes, have them stand by and report in." Kasumi replied.
Shenlong bowed. "As you wish." he said before taking out his cell phone and dialing a number.
Back at KaibaCorp, Lisa was a young woman with light tan skin in her early to mid-20s who stood at a height of 5.6. She has orange hair tied in a ponytail and dark green eyes. Next to her was Tracy, who was close to Lisa's age with olive skin and was an inch shorter than Lisa. Tracy had short black hair that reached her shoulders and dark brown eyes.
Both women had left the board of directors' office while the old men continued to watch the duel, which they all were becoming anxious about after seeing Yugi even up the score, and from what they heard, something else had happened.
"I wonder what happened after Yugi Muto turned the tables on Pegasus?" Tracy asked.
"Who knows." Lisa said before her cell started ringing, which she took out. When she saw the caller ID, it was from Shenlong. "It's Shenlong," Lisa told Tracy.
"I wonder if he wants us to leave or deal with the old men?" Tracy asked.
Lisa took her cell out of her pocket and answered. "Yes, Shenlong, what do you need?" Lisa asked. She heard what he had to say and nodded. "Alright, we'll do that. Ok bye." she said, hanging up.
"So what's the verdict?" Tracy asked.
"They say we are to keep an eye on them in case something goes wrong." Lisa answered.
"Did they say anything about the duel?" Tracy asked.
Lisa turned to her friend and spoke. "A Shadow Game is in play." she said grimly.
Meanwhile, back with Tristan and Yami Bakura. Tristan glared at the evil spirit while he held Mokuba bride style. He wasn't going to give up Mokuba without a fight. However, the evil spirit wasn't concerned and didn't care about what he thought, for he only saw Tristan as just an obstacle and not worth his time.
"Heh heh heh heh." Yami Bakura chuckled evilly. "So what will it be, mortal? Are you going to hand Mokuba over willingly, or do I have to conjure something up to consume your soul?" Yami Bakura asked
"Forget it, no way." Tristan declared, refusing to hand Mokuba over.
Yami Bakura just chuckled. "You know that I have the power to back up my threats. Hand him over this instant, or I'll dispatch you to the graveyard as well," Yami Bakura said
"Hmm. Yeah, I remember." Tristan said as he glanced at the Millennium Ring. "Your Evil Power comes from that, the Millennium Ring!"
"That's right, the Millennium Ring not only allows me to control your friend Bakura but also gives me many other magical abilities as well." Yami Bakura said before he held his hand up. "So unless you want a more personal demonstration of my powers. You'll stop resisting me since you know any attempt to resist will be pointless. Why sacrifice yourself when you know I'll wind up in possession of his body in the end?" Yami Bakura asked
Tristan grumbled but lowered his head. "Alright, I give up; he's yours," he said, holding Mokuba to the Evil Spirt, who chuckled, thinking he had won. As Yami Bakura walked forward Tristan narrowed his eyes. "Think fast!" Tristan shouted, tossing Mokuba's body at those who caught him, causing him to stumble a bit. Seeing an opening, Tristan rushed at Yami Bakuran and delivered a chop to the back of Yami Bakura's neck knocking out the Evil Spirit as he dropped Mokuba in the process.
Tristan looked at Bakura, feeling bad for what he had to do, but then he turned his attention to the Millenium Ring. "That Ring allows the Evil Spirit to take control of Bakura, so I need to get rid of it." he said as he took the Ring off Bakura and walked up the stairs to the door leading outside, he gave one final look at the Millenium Ring. "Goodbye! And never come back!" he shouted, tossing it into the forest below, leaving a golden glimmer.
"Good riddance." Tristan said as he walked back to Mokuba and the unconscious Bakura.
All the others could do was watch as their friend and Pegasus were enveloped in a dark dome of shadow magic. Sonia was the first to break the silence.
"Ok, can someone tell me what the hell is that?" Sonia asked, completely confused about what she was seeing and trying to find a logical answer.
"Don't ask me." Joey said. "I don't have a clue either."
{it's a dome of Shadow Magic. Pegasus has challenged Yugi to a Shadow Game.} Hikari Tea told Tea.
"Pegasus used his Millenium Eye to transport Yugi and Himself to the Shadow Realm." Tea told her friends. "He's cut us off from him."
"Great, how can we help Yugi if we can't see him?" Sonia asked.
"You mind helping me." Tristan called out, and the three turned to see him carrying Bakura on his shoulder while holding Mokuba under his arm.
"Tristan, where were you?" Sonia demanded.
"I had an adventure and a half today, Sonia," Tristan remarked as he placed both Bakura and Mokuba down.
"He's not the only one." a feminine voice said.
They turned to see Red-Eyes Queen, who was carrying Kaiba. "Red-Eyes Queen? I thought you left the Island?" Tea said, surprised at the dark queen.
"What happened to your helmet?" Sonia asked, seeing the damage to the right side of her helmet, with it missing one of its red lenses. She could see the duelist's hazel eye.
"A guard got a lucky shot at me." Red-Eyes Queen replied as she placed Kaiba next to Mokuba.
"And rescued Kaiba, and with Mokuba here, Pegasus has nothing," Joey said.
"Speaking of Pegasus, what's with the indoor lighting storm." Tristan asked, turning towards where the arena once was.
"Yugi was losing for a while, and just as he turned the tables, Pegasus then transported himself and Yugi to the Shadow Realm." Tea answered, but then she looked at Bakura. "What happened to Bakura?"
"The Evil Spirit took over Bakura again and tried to grab Mokuba to use him as his new host body, but don't worry, I tossed the Millennium Ring into the forest outside," Tristan explained.
"Evil Spirit?" Sonia uttered, eyebrow arched.
"I'll explain later." Tristan said.
"We need to head down there. Yugi needs our help." Tea said.
"You four go; I'll stay here and watch these three." Red-Eyes Queen told them.
They nodded before rushing to the lower floor. Joey stopped for a moment and turned back to Red-Eyes Queen for a minute before he raced after his friends who had made it down to where the Dark Dome was.
"Yugi's in there, but how are we supposed to help him?" Joey asked.
"I don't know." Sonia said, shaking her head. "I'm still all too new to this Shadow Game stuff."
Tea didn't have the answer. All she could do was look at the sphere in worry. 'Yugi, you need to be careful.'
Meanwhile, inside the dome, Yugi looked around at his surroundings. 'I don't like this; whenever Pegasus brings me here, it only means one thing.' Yugi thought.
"A Shadow Game." Yugi and Yami Yugi said at the same time.
"You'll find your experience in the Shadow Realm this time to be a lot harder than your last." Pegasus explained, "The strain of maintaining your Mind Shuffle will make it more difficult for you to conjure up your monsters mentally."
Yugi was starting to have trouble breathing. 'He's right! I feel weak!'
Turn 23
{I'll take over Yugi.} Yami Yugi said as the Millennium Puzzle glowed, and they switched minds with Yami in control. "I think I'm strong enough, so let's finish our duel now." Yami Yugi said as he drew from his deck before ending his turn.
{You'll be safer if you let me take over. I can survive much better in the Shadow Realm.} Yami Yugi told his partner.

Pegasus drew from his deck, and as soon as he saw what he drew, he smirked. "For my next brilliant move. I summon my Dark-Eyes Illusionist in ATK mode! And did I tell you? It's a monster that I created just for this game." Pegasus said
In a flash of purple light, a creature that looked similar to a top appeared on the field. It had three red and black spikes on its head, one on top and two on both sides, with a silver earring on both sides, with the Eye of Wdjat in silver on its face, similar to those on the Millenium Items. The monster had a purple and black hoop around its waist and long purple arms.
Yami Yugi's eyes widened as soon as he saw the beast.
"And don't forget in this realm. It's as real as you are." Pegasus said

Pegasus said before laughing.
"I don't know what secrets your Dark-Eyes Illusionist holds. But I'm sure it's not as harmless as you would like me to believe." Yami Yugi stated, "I'm sure it's quite dangerous."
"Yugi! You're so suspicious!." Pegasus said before chuckling.

Yami Yugi drew from his deck. "I'll lay down my Curse of Dragon on the field." Yami Yugi said as he placed the card on the console. "Dragon, Come forth!" Yami Yugi declared
A vortex appeared beside Yami Yugi as the Curse of Dragon emerged out of it.

{Alright Yugi!} Yami Yugi said as the Millennium Puzzle glowed, and Yami Yugi switched back to Yugi, but his eyes were now baggy, and he began to sweat a little from the strain of the Shadow Realm.
'It would seem Yugi is overestimating his mental prowess and underestimates the burden of fighting a duel in the Shadow Realm. I don't think you have it in you, Yugi-Boy. Especially since you now have three creatures to maintain: Your Dark Magician, Seiyaryu, and Curse of Dragon.' Pegasus thought,
'Damn it, the strain is too great. It's like nothing I've ever felt before. The world is spinning.' Yugi thought, starting to feel the strain of the Shadow Realm start to overwhelm him.
{Yugi, if it's too much for you, let me take over.} Yami Yugi said, seeing that Yugi was struggling even to breathe.
Yugi placed his hand on the console. {Give me a minute, I just need to last out the turn.} Yugi replied.
'He's too young and inexperienced to cope with the stress and communicate with that other spirit, which splits his concentration, and his mental and magical energies will soon be exhausted.' Pegasus thought.
Back outside, the others stared at the dome of darkness, trying to figure out a way to help Yugi. suddenly Tea felt pain in her chest, forcing her to move her hand over her heart.
"You felt that too?" Joey asked her.
"Yes, it's a sharp pain in my chest." Tea answered. "I feel like something bad happened to Yugi."
"Yeah, I have a feeling our little buddy is in trouble," Joey said.
Tristan, who had his eyes closed for a minute, spoke. "I know what you mean."
Joey and Tea turned to him. "You too?" Joey asked.
"Yeah." Tristan nodded.
"Me too," Sonia said.
"I think since we all have become so close, we've developed some sort of bond with him," Tristan said.
"For sure," Joey said.
"If we feel his pain, then it must be very bad in there," Sonia said grimly.
{it's the strain of the Shadow Realm,} Hikari Tea told Tea.
{the strain?} Tea asked.
Hikari Tea nodded. {For Yami and me, handling the strain and mental stability of the Shadow Realm is much easier cause we are more used to the shadow magic, but Yugi and yourself are too inexperienced to keep focus. Plus, maintaining the Mind Shuffle while controlling multiple monsters at once can be even more difficult for Yugi.}
Tea digested the information her other self said and looked back toward the dome. "Oh Yugi." she said, wishing she could do something, not just her Hikari Tea.

"You're looking a little pale, Yugi." Pegasus commented as he drew from his deck. "Maybe you should give up your Mind-Shuffle Strategy," Pegasus suggested as he placed a card face-down. "Take a breather. I can send you back to your world. Anytime you're ready to surrender!"

"I'll use my turn to attack with Curse of Dragon!" Yami Yugi declared
Curse of Dragon screeched as it flawed towards Dark-Eyes Illusionist.
'An impulsive attack precipitated, no doubt, by his concern for little Yugi. But in his rush, he's made a fatal mistake.' Pegasus thought as his Millennium Eye glowed. "Your attack activates Dark-Eyes Illusionist's special ability.
Dark-Eyes Illusionist's head spun around before the silver eye began to glow purple and the beam at Curse of Dragon.
"Mesmerizing Magic!" Pegasus announced.
Curse of Dragon was frozen in place. "He's been stopped!" Yami Yugi gasped his eyes widened.
"To make up for Dark-Eyes' nonexistent ATK and DEF points, I endowed him with a special ability. Dark-Eyes Illusionist can use the power of his mesmeric eye to paralyze attacking monsters in their tracks." Pegasus explained. "With such a superb monster at his disposal, what could my next brilliant plan be?"
Yami Yugi just gritted his teeth. "Just play it," he said reluctantly, ending his turn. He didn't want to risk Dark Magician or Seiyaryu possibly getting paralyzed by Dark-Eyes Illusionist.
Turn 28
Pegasus drew from his deck before continuing with his move. "As you wish," Pegasus said as he revealed his face-down card. "Believe it or not, I'm going to use the Black Illusion Ritual card! To sacrifice my incredible Dark-Eyes Illusionist." Pegasus said. "Could he be crazy, you ask? Giving up a creature that can paralyze any monster I can play with? No, I'm using this ritual to create an even better monster."
Suddenly a golden pot with the eye of Anubis appeared on the field with two silver handles with purple flames burning, and a wind of shadows erupted from the inside of the pot, blowing Pegasus's hair upward and revealing his Millennium Eye. Pegasus began to laugh, raising his arms into the air.
"I hereby sacrifice my Dark-Eyes Illusionist. To Ritual Summon another Spellcaster Monster." Pegasus said as Dark-Eyes Illusionist turned transparent and was absorbed into the Jar, which began to take on a new shape as it turned a whitish gray with the Eye of Wdjat in the center extended. It grew a hard exoskeleton that opened up like wings, revealing a bulky top-like body underneath with a white maw twitching on its stomach. It had long arms with two green gems along both arms with sharp black claws at the end. "The incredible, extraordinary, unforgettable. Relinquished!" Pegasus announced

"I'll show you by activating its special power," Pegasus said as the Eye of Wdjat on Relinquished glowed purple while the white maw in its stomach began pulsating. "It's even more irresistible than my last creature," Pegasus added.
The white maw in Relinquished's stomach then expanded before it became a black hole that emitted purple energy. Curse of Dragon was slowly being dragged towards Relinquished before Relinquished utterly absorbed the dragon.
"Oh no, my Curse of Dragon." Yami Yugi gasped in shock.
"Gone, but not forgotten." Pegasus smiled
Turn 29
Yami Yugi gritted his teeth before going on the offensive. "Dark Magician strike down Relinquished with Dark Magic Attack!"
Dark Magician leaped into the air while swinging his staff before unleashing his Dark Magic at Relinquished.
"Relinquished! Activate your defense shield!" Pegasus commanded.
Relinquished folded his outer shell inward, completely shielding himself. However, to Yami Yugi's shock, his Curse of Dragon that had been absorbed appeared melded into Relinqished's shell just as Dark Magician's attack hit.
"Oh no! It's using my Curse of Dragon as a shield against the attack!" Yami Yugi exclaimed in shock as Curse of Dragon was destroyed instead.
"Your attack eliminates Curse of Dragon from the game; since he was your monster, you lose the life points." Pegasus stated.

As long as I have Relinquished on the field, you're your own worse enemy "
Relinquished, then unfolded his outer shell while Yami Yugi gritted his teeth.
"Even so, Pegasus, I still have another attack, which will wipe out your life points!" Yami Yugi declared while Pegasus wasn't worried in the slightest. "Seiyaryu! End this duel now with your Holy Fire!"
Seiyaryu roared and unleashed sky-blue flames at Relinquished; however, Pegasus laughed. "I don't think so. Relinquished activates your special ability. When he is attacked once per turn, he can nullify the attack monster's assault but is also able to absorb it all in one move!"
"Ahh!" Yami Yugi gasped in shock.
The white maw on Relinquished expanded and created a black hole that consumed the blue flames before it began to pull in Seiyaryu, who tried to resist the force of the vortex, but she was then absorbed into the maw.
"No!" Yami Yugi explained.
Relinquished, closed his other shell, and Seiyaryu appeared petrified on the right side of the shell.

"Ooh, how frustrating it must be to be you? To know you have all of these great monsters in your deck, and if you dared play them, they would be used against you." Pegasus commented,
"This duel isn't over yet, Pegasus." Yami Yugi retorted
"No but it might as well be." Pegasus countered back as he drew from his deck. "My monster's unstoppable," Pegasus claimed as he stretched his right hand out. "Watch, I activate Relinquished's Hypnotic Attraction!"
Relinquished shot a purple beam at the Dark Magician, causing a purple Eye of Wdjat to appear on his chest.
"Try as he might resist. Your Dark Magician will find my spellcaster as irresistible as both your dragons did," Pegasus said. "Like both of your Dragons, he'll soon be mine."
The white maw in Relinquished's stomach then expanded before it became a black hole that emitted purple energy. Dark Magician was slowly being dragged towards Relinquished, trying so hard to resist before Relinquished utterly absorbed the spellcaster.
"No, my Dark Magician." Yami Yugi gasped

Relinquished closed his outer shell, in which Dark Magician appeared on the left side of the shell, petrified like Seiyaryu.
"And now he too has become a defense shield, and not only that, Relinquished has 5000 ATK and 4400 DEF points. It's practically invincible now." Yami Yugi said not only did he lose his two best monsters, but now its attack power was greater than that of Kaiba's Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon.
"Hahaha, that's right Yugi. You're beginning to catch on, and this time, I have two of your most powerful monsters to use against you; not to mention one of them is your favorite. Admit it, I guess you're not his favorite. Not anymore." Pegasus mocked.
Yami Yugi grumbled and gritted his teeth. 'He's right; any monster I play will be absorbed and turned against me, and any strategy I think up, Pegasus will just read my mind.'
{We can't give up. We need to Mind Shuffle again long enough for me to draw a card.} Yugi said.
Yami Yugi looked at Yugi, unsure. {Are you sure? If you push your mental state to its limits. Your soul will be shattered and scattered throughout the Shadow Realm for eternity,}
{I'm willing to risk it for Mom, Grandpa, and the others. I just need to last long enough to pull off one last play. We both just have to trust in the Heart of the Cards} Yugi said
Yami Yugi, although still unsure, relented. {I hope this isn't your last turn Yugi.} Yami Yugi said, and in a golden flash, Yugi took over. However, he was breathing heavily, sweat pouring along with placing his hand on the console, trying to keep his balance, the strain of the Shadow Realm even more significant than before as he reached for his deck.
'Well, little Yugi's back. Your son never learns Kikyo.' Pegasus thought, seeing that the stress was starting to become too much, knowing it was a matter of time before the boy succumbed to the Shadow Realm.
Turn 31
'I got to have faith in the Heart of the Cards.' Yugi thought while breathing heavily as he was about to draw 'Because the next card I draw could be my last.' his vision starting to blur as his hand got closer. 'Please…make it one that can defeat Pegasus.' Yugi prayed. 'Please." Yugi prayed as he drew from his deck
As soon as Yugi saw the card that he drew, he got a determined expression on his face despite the pain he placed it onto console face-down 'It's all up to the spirit of the Millennium Puzzle now.' Yugi thought. "Pegasus, I play one card face-down." Yugi said while breathing heavy before he continue "For my last move I summon Feral Imp in DEF mode." Yugi said
In a flash of light, the Feral Imp appeared.

Dark Magician and Seiyaryu screamed and roared in pain as Relinquished siphoned their power, purple electricity from Dark Magician and Sky Blue from Seiyaryu. Both energies were channeled into its eye before unleashing a purple and blue beam at the Feral Imp, which was wiped out by the blast.
"My Feral Imp." Yugi said as he covered his face from the force of the attack.

Yami Yugi appeared beside Yugi in astral form, holding the young boy for a second. {Yugi, switch now. Quickly.} he said, however, Yugi had reached his limit and fell forward, shocking Yami Yugi. {Yugi? Yugi?} Yami Yugi said, worried.
With the last ounce of strength, he had Yugi said. "Spirit, You got to beat Pegasus. It's up to you now." Yugi said as his head hit the console.
'Hahaha, one down.' Pegasus thought, pleased.
Kikyo gasped, holding her hand to her heart. "No, my son!" she said in worry and hurt. Knowing something terrible happened to her little boy.
'Oh, Maximus.' Celia said, holding her hands to her mouth. 'What have you done?' as she comforted her daughter.
Outside the dome, the others gasped, feeling like they had been entirely detached from Yugi.
"You all felt that right now?" Tea asked in fear.
"Yeah, something happened in there." Joey scowled.
"Yeah, but what?" Tristan remarked,
"He could be hurt or worse." Sonia said in worry for her friend.
{the Shadow Realm has crushed his spirit, I'm sorry, Tea.} Hikari Tea apologized, feeling useless and unable to even help at the moment.
'He can't be gone, and it can't be true.' Tea said, tears forming in her eyes.
Yugi's body remained still on the console, unresponsive. In his mind Yami Yugi held the boy, trying to get Yugi to wake up.
"Yugi!" Yami Yugi shouted, shaking his friend. "I can no longer sense his soul; this can't be happening; he can't be gone!"
Pegasus just chuckled. "Forget him; the boy was too weak. It takes a person with true fortitude to cope with the harsh unrealities of the Shadow Realm and face it Yugi-Boy is gone, and it's just you and me."
"This is too freaky. One minute I can feel him, and now I can't." Joey scowled.
"Me too." Tristan said.
"This is crazy. What could've happened?" Sonia asked. She was trying to find a logical reason for this but could not.
'We have to help him!' Tea thought.
{We can't enter the dome, but we might be able to communicate with them.} Hikari Tea told her.
Tea looked at the spirit. {Are you sure?} Tea asked, willing to try anything.
{if we focus, we might be able to connect with the Millennium Puzzle, I'm not sure it'll work, but it's worth a try.} Hikari Tea said.
Tea nodded as the Millennium Star began to glow. "An-Zu-Oh!" Tea shouted in a flash of light. Hikari Tea appeared in her place.
Hikari Tea opened her eyes. "Listen, everyone, I think I have a way to communicate with Yugi using my Star, but I need time to concentrate."
"Really?" Sonia asked curiously.
"If you have a plan, then we'll be right behind yeah." Joey smirked.
"Go for it Tea." Tristan told her.
Hikari Tea nodded before closing her eyes and holding her hand out. She focused her thoughts on both her Star and Yugi's Puzzle. {Yami, do you hear me?} she asked, attempting to connect with him. But no response. She continued to focus as the Star began to glow faintly.
The Millennium Puzzle shined brightly as Yami Yugi took over. He stood up from the console and glared at Pegasus with rage. "You bastard! You used your underhanded tactics to overwhelm Yugi! You'll pay for what you did!"
Pegasus just giggled. "So I take it from your emotional outburst that you're having difficulty acknowledging that you failed in your self-appointed duty to protect your little Dueling protege. It must be sad. Because whoever you are, perhaps Yugi was better off without your interference, hmm?."
Yami Yugi glared at the evil creator before pointing. "Be Silent! Pegasus! For what you have done!." he said, bringing his arm into his chest with his thump pointing at him. "I will show you no mercy…" he threatened, unaware his Puzzle was faintly glowing.
"Then let the duel continue." Pegasus said.

Yami Yugi drew from his deck, and at that moment, the Millennium Eye was glowing, allowing Pegasus to read Yami Yugi's mind and allowing him to see what card he drew.
'The card you drew is Winged Dragon, Guardian of the Fortress, a weak monster.' Pegasus thought as he smirked. 'Without Yugi, he can't stop me from reading his mind any longer.'
'Pegasus read my mind, so now he knows all the cards in my hand.' Yami Yugi thought as he gritted his teeth. 'The only card he doesn't know is the one that Yugi left on the field. But I have no way of knowing if that's a card that could tip the duel in my favor.'
"I play Winged Dragon, Guardian of the Fortress in DEF mode!" Yami Yugi announced.
A dark portal opened on the right side of Yami Yugi. Winged Dragon, Guardian of the Fortress, flew out of the portal, landing in front of Yami Yugi in DEF mode.

Like before, Relinquished siphoned the power of both captured monsters. Before firing the purple and blue beam at Winged Dragon, who roared in pain as it was destroyed. Yami Yugi covered his face from the force of the blast.

It was a blue, yellow, and red sphere with a spike appearing on the top of its head with two long gray arms along with a clock on the top of its head with numbers counting from 0,1,2, and 3 and whose penal was currently pointed at 2.

"Yes, Jigen Bakudan is a self-destructing monster immune to attacks. It will explode and destroy my beloved Relinquished in just two turns." Pegasus said,
"You're using Bakudan to destroy your own monster?" Yami Yugi said, confused as to why Pegasus would willingly destroy his own monster.
"Yes, but more importantly, it'll destroy the 2 monsters that Relinquished has already absorbed. Mainly yours and Relinquished's attack power is 0." Pegasus explained.
Yami Yugi's eyes widened, understanding what Pegasus was trying to do. "Meaning your life points won't be affected at all, right?"
"Yes, while my score is unaffected, the explosion will wipe out the Dark Magician and Seiyaryu. And their combined attack power will be deducted from your life points, ending the game." Pegasus explained.
Yami Yugi's eyes widened, knowing what that meant. 'That will destroy any chance I have of rescuing Yugi's mother, grandfather, Kaiba, and Mokuba.'
"Face it, The clock is ticking down on your demise, and there's nothing you can do to stop it." Pegasus said while smiling. "I can't remember the last time I had so much fun. Remember, 2 more turns and kaboom! And you don't have a single card to help you."
Yami Yugi looked at his hand. Among them were Kuriboh, Multiply, Burning Land, Makiu, the Magical Mist, and Monster Recovery.
'What am I going to do? Even if I draw a new card, Pegasus' Millennium Eye will let him read my mind and see exactly what card I've drawn." Yami Yugi thought
'That's right. As long as I can read your mind, you can do nothing against me. You've lost. The Duel is over.' Pegasus thought.
Yami Yugi couldn't feel the pressure, and he began to sweat, feeling completely helpless."He's right; I've failed Yugi. I failed all of his friends and his family. And I even failed you, Hikari. Yugi's sacrifice was in vain I couldn't save his family or the Kaiba Brothers; they are doomed.'
Hikari Tea kept her eyes shut, and she could feel Yami Yugi beginning to doubt himself. 'Yami…' she thought desperately, as her Millennium Star began to glow brightly, getting everyone's attention, including Red-Eyes Queen, who watched from the balcony. Her hair began to flow, and the Eye of Wdjat appeared on her forehead then her eyes shot open. {Yami!} Hikari Tea shouted in her mind.
Yami Yugi's eyes widened. The Eye of Wdjat appeared on his forehead. He could feel Hikari Tea's presence, and her voice echoed through his mind. {Yami, don't give up; we're still with you.} Hikari Tea said as she and Tea appeared in his mind. Yami Yugi looked at them, confused, wondering how they could be in his mind.
Tea saw Yugi on the ground, and the young brunette rushed to him and picked him up in her arms. "Yugi, please open your eyes." Tea pleaded to shake her friend gently. However, no response made her eyes water.
Yami Yugi looked at her, feeling responsible for her pain. "There's nothing I can do." Yami Yugi said, lowing his head in shame.
Hikari Tea was also hurt, but she turned to her fellow spirit. "Yami, you're the only one who can do this; if you give up now, all is lost." Hikari Tea argued.
"Hikari, without Yugi, there's no way to prevent Pegasus from reading my mind." Yami Yugi retorted.
"Yugi is still with you." a familiar voice rang out.
All three turned to see both Solomon and Kikyo. "You two are…" Yami Yugi uttered.
"Yugi's grandfather," Solomon answered.
"And his mother," Kikyo added before she smiled, holding her hand to her chest. "And believe me, my son's heart is still in this duel."
"Kikyo, how could that be, I thought." Tea uttered, but Solomon cut her off.
"You three only thought what your eyes see." Solomon said.
"Tea, you know this. The devotion you and the others give him keeps his spirit alive." Kikyo said as she and Solomon faded away.
'That's it, his friends.' Yami Yugi thought, looking at Hikari Tea, who gave him a confident smirk. "They have given up!"
Hikari Tea lowered her hand and breathed, and the others looked at each other, all wondering if it had worked. Joey was the one to break the silence.
"Hey Tea, did you contact Yugi?" Joey asked, hopeful.
"I did, and he isn't giving up." Hikari Tea told them. "But he needs our help, and If we all focus and reach out to him, we'll be able to help him beat Pegasus."
"Huh?" all three uttered.
"Remember the pact we made?" Hikari Tea asked Joey and Tristan.
"Yeah." Tristan smirked.
"I sure do." Joey smiled.
"I wasn't there to make this pact, but I'm with you all the way." Sonia said she may not have been present when they formed their pact of friendship, but she has grown so close to everyone forming an unbreakable bond.
"Sonia, you're our friend and will always be a part of the team." Hikari Tea nodded. "If we all focus, we'll be able to reach him."
"Yeah, and our bond can reach him even in the Shadow Realm." Joey said, clenching his fist.
"It's worth a try; let's do it." Tristan stated.
"Yeah." Sonia nodded.
All four put their hands together and focused all their emotions on the dome; Red-Eyes Queen just watched. "Everyone focus. We can do this." Hikari Tea said.
"Come on Yuge!" Tristan called out.
"You can do it Yugi!" Sonia added.
"We're here for ya!" Joey said.
"Yugi, we believe in you." Hikari Tea said with conviction. "Even though we aren't beside you physically, we're right beside you in spirit. You can defeat Pegasus!"
Turn 35
"Here's my move." Yami Yugi declared as he drew from his deck. As soon as Yami Yugi saw the card, his eye widened slightly, and bits of sweat poured down his face.
Pegasus began to laugh. "Let's take a look! Ha ha ha!." as his Millennium Eye began to shine brightly and peered into Yami Yugi's Mind, he saw the card which Yami Yugi was trying to conceal. 'Trying to conceal your card, huh? Fool, you can hide nothing from me now that you lost your Mind Shuffling partner.' Pegasus, however, he gasped in shock, his vision of the card was blocked by several silhouettes shrouded in shadow, but after a second, their forms were revealed. In front of the card were Yugi's friends, Joey and Tristan in the front, a blonde glaring at him with a hand in his pocket; the brunette also glared at him with both hands in his pocket. While Tea and Sonia were behind them, also glaring while they held little Yugi's body up. And beside Yami Yugi was Hikari Tea whose body was turned slightly to the side, her arms were crossed with a deep scowl on her face, glaring daggers at him.
"Oh no! How can this be?! Impossible! Inconceivable! My Millennium Eye it's being blocked!" Pegasus shouted in shock and disbelief at what he was seeing. "My Millennium Magic is unstoppable. I should be able to read your every thought and strategy, every card in your deck."
"Not anymore, Pegasus, not as long as we're around," Joey stated. "Get the hell out of his mind and stay out."
Pegasus was taken aback as he was forced out of Yami Yugi's mind but was still able to see the others. Yami Yugi smiled, looking back at Yugi's friends along with Hikari Tea.
"Thank you, together. We can stand strong against him." Yami Yugi told them.
Pegasus gritted his teeth and growled, his good eye twitching in rage.
"Pegasus! You don't get it." Tea said, glaring at the creator.
"You think your eye makes all the difference?" Joey uttered.
"But it doesn't; friends do," Tristan said.
"We fight for each other, while you only fight for yourself and your selfish agenda." Sonia frowned.
"That's right, and together our bond of friendship and trust far outweighs your Millennium Magic." Hikari Tea said.
"And thanks to them, I'll be able to save my Magician and Seiyaryu from the blast of your Bakudan Detonator." Yami Yugi proclaimed with conviction.
Pegasus gritted his teeth. "You cannot. My detonator will win this duel for me despite the help of your little friends."
"Wrong!" Yami Yugi exclaimed pointing his finger at Pegasus. "Cause now that these friends are working with me on a whole new level this is a whole new game!"
Pegasus growled, gritting his teeth, and began to sweat nervously as Yami Yugi continued. "Prepare yourself Pegasus, 'cause with Yugi's friends and Hikari blocking you from reading my mind, you'll have to take them as they come, and they don't come much better than this!" he shouted, slamming the card down onto the console.
"Go, Dao Mystic Box!" Yami Yugi declared
"Dao Mystic Box?!" Pegasus gasped, knowing what that meant.
"That's right, Pegasus, this card is an enhanced version of the regular Mystic Box that can be used in combination with Magicians, in this case, my Dark Magician." Yami Yugi explained.
'Dammit, if I could have known that was coming, I would have been able to stop it!' Pegasus thought in frustration as three Mystic Boxes materialized on the field. Two on Relinquished over Dark Magician and Seiyaryu and another over Jigen Bakudan. It looked similar to the regular Mystic Box, but the areas that were supposed to be black were Dark Blue with metal corners, gold and silver with Purple, Pink, and Green jewels along the edges. The usual yellow question marks had changed colors. The top was purple, the middle was pink, and the bottom was green.
"Now, Pegasus, watch closely and witness the appearance of my boxes." Yami Yugi said as the box that appeared around Jigen Bakudan opened, revealing the Dark Magician, who leaped from the box. Still, the trick wasn't over yet as the doors closed as the box rotated until it showed the second set of doors on the back of the box, which opened with Seiyaryu appearing this time as she left the box and took her spot next to Dark Magician but where was Jigen Bakudan? When the Dark Magician's box opens as showing, he had taken Dark Magician's place stuck to Relinquished while still counting down to his destruction.

"Damn! Now its blast will only destroy Relinquished.." Pegasus exclaimed. "No fair!"
"You have no right to declare what is and isn't fair." Hikari Tea said through her link with Yami Yugi. "coming from a man who uses his Magic to see other people's cards and strategies."
"Hmm." Yami Yugi hummed while nodding in agreement with her statement.
Turn 36
Pegasus just glared at Yami Yugi before he drew his card. "I pass. There's nothing I can do." he reluctantly said.
Turn 37
"Very well, my move." Yami Yugi said as he drew his card and smiled, which caused Pegasus to gasp, his one eye widening in worry. "Go, Brain Control!" he shouted, placing the card onto the console.
"No! Then Relinquished will be-," Pegasus exclaimed.
"Brainwashed and placed under my control for one turn." Yami Yugi said as a brain and two ghostly arms appeared, grabbing Relinquished before bringing it over to his side.

"How does it feel, Pegasus, to have the tables turned and the Magical powers of Mind Control used against you?" Yami Yugi asked, taunting Pegasus.
"It must feel painful to have your back against the wall. Does it hurt to be at a disadvantage just like everyone you dueled against does it hurt?" Hikari Tea added while glaring at him.
Pegasus glared at Yami Yugi and Hikari Tea. However, he looked at Jigen Bakudan and had a realization that Yugi-Boy had made a major mistake that had now cost him the duel. He began to laugh like a made man, which confused Yami Yugi.
"Hahaha! Go ahead and take Relinquished, Yugi-Boy, cause the detonator you attached to him is set to go off on this turn. Which will wipe out your Dark Magician and Seiyaryu along with the rest of your life points." Pegasus exclaimed, thinking he had won.
"You're wrong, Pegasus." Yami Yugi calmly countered, much to Pegasus' bewilderment, until Yami Yugi picked up the card that Yugi had left behind. "Remember, I still have one more card out. The card that took the last bit of Yugi's courage to play. And now it's time to find out what it is!"
Yami Yugi slammed Yugi's card down on the console as it was revealed to be a powerful spell. Is an altar with two golden rods, both shaped like axes, with the eye of Wdjat on it with a red jewel in the center. As purple smoke flowed from the top of them.
"It's a Ritual Card." Pegasus realized.
"Dark Magic Ritual! To invoke its power, I much make a double sacrifice," Yami Yugi explained. "So I offer both your Jigen Bakudan and my Dark Magician."
Both monsters appeared above the rods as they both vanished into the smoke. Pegasus just watched in fear. 'No, Bakudan's been sacrificed before it could detonate, but what has he created in its place?'
A red glowing star appeared in the center of the altar as a vortex of darkness shot up into the sky, creating dark clouds. Yami Yugi's eyes shot open. "The offering has been accepted a new power is born! Get ready, Pegasus. I ritual summon the Magician of Black Chaos!"
Out of the storm appeared a man wearing dark-colored armor with pink belts around his legs, holding a similar-colored staff.
Pegasus never seemed more shocked than he was now. 'No! Not him! NOT HIM!'
"You may have succeeded in putting Yugi out of commission, but not before his final courageous act set the stage for the greatest Magician in all of Duel Monsters." Yami Yugi exclaimed as the Magician of Black Chaos was now fully revealed
The Magician of Black Chaos's face was an ominous shade of blue with black-highlights, and his dark-colored hair reached his waist. The gem within his scepter was green, and he had two more green gems on his head-gear that sprouted both left and right like a pair of horns.
"And with the Magician of Black Chaos, I will avenge my fallen friend." Yami Yugi declared as the Magician of Black Chaos landed on the ritual table before finally opening his eyes, revealing a purple set of them on a dark-yellow surface.

"Face it, Pegasus, you're Through." Yami Yugi said as an afterimage of Yugi appeared beside Yami Yugi. "No card in your deck can save you now! Yugi's last act of courage will finish you!"
"He's right!" Hikari Tea said through their connection. "Prepare to face defeat!"
'As powerful as that creature may be, it matters not cause once this turn is over, I'll regain control over Relinquished, and I will use his powers to assimilate Yugi's Chaos Mage and use it to crush him along with Seiyaryu, instead of being his hope for victory he'll lead him to defeat!' Pegasus thought with a smile while clenching his fist.
"You're right about that Chaos Mage! I think he will bring an end to this duel, a lot sooner than you may think." Pegasus laughed.
"We'll see about that." Yami Yugi said calmly.
'We will indeed.' Pegasus thought. 'Give it your best shot!'
"Now, I play this card face-down to complete my strategy." Yami Yugi said as he placed a card face-down on the console. An image of his friends appeared, blocking Pegasus's powers again, making the creator growl in annoyance "And also one monster card in DEF mode as well."

'Hmm, two cards face-down. Clever boy. He knows that when Relinquished is back under my control, I'll have the power to assimilate his monsters! Those cards he threw must be part of a strategy to try and stop me.' Pegasus thought
"It's my turn now." Pegasus said as he drew from his deck. "And the effects of your turn are over. Your Brain Control Spell has expired and Relinquished i back where he belongs. With his daddy." Pegasus said
Relinquished began to sparkle in blue, black, and white lights before he vanished and reappeared on Pegasus' side of the field.
"Oh yeah, you can see the resemblance." Hikari Tea commented.

Ignoring Hikari Tea, Pegasus continued on with his move. "And even with your two mystery cards out on the field, I think you'll find he's just as effective as ever," Pegasus said.
Yami Yugi just glared at Pegasus while Hikari Tea wondered what Pegasus meant by that.
'That is after I make a small addition to him and create the most sinister beast my deck can produce! Hahaha. Then I'll crush this fool and make him regret ever challenging me and trifling with my powers!' Pegasus thought.
"If you think you have Relinquished all figured out, then you are wrong," Pegasus said, holding two cards in his hand before placing one on the console. "I use Polymerization to fuse Relinquished with Thousand-Eyes Idol. With these two monsters, I fusion summon the incredible and terrifying Thousand-Eyes Restrict!"
Yami Yugi and Hikari Tea cringed in disgust as Dozens of buds appeared on Relinquished's skin, which began to change to purple. These buds soon started to open up, revealing that these were actually eyes with yellow-pupils before his exoskeleton burst open and folded out. Two green eyes appeared above its stomach, which had gained a row of teeth. The Eye of Wdjat shot forward menacingly.

"He's quite a looker, eh?" Pegasus said. "If you think he's a real stunner now, just wait until all 1000 of his eye open up."
Yami Yugi looked at the new monster in shock and nervousness; Relinquished was already a problematic monster. Now, this new Thousand-Eyes Restrict, despite its 0 ATK and DEF, much like its fusion materials, it must be more dangerous.
Pegasus continued. "Then you'll see he's not just a pretty face." Pegasus said before chuckling.
"It's working, everyone. Don't let up." Hikari Tea told the others who had their hands over hers.
"We won't Tea, not until Yugi is back safe." Tristan said.
'Come on, Yuge, we're with you all the way.' Joey thought.
'We won't give up on you, Yugi; we're in this together.' Tristan thought.
'You can do it, Yuge, don't give up.' Sonia thought.
'Yugi, all of us believe in you. I believe in you and know that you will return no matter what.' Tea thought.
"Don't let your guard down, Yami, not for a second." Hikari Tea told him.
"I know." Yami Yugi nodded while scowling.
Pegasus, however, began to laugh. "Hahaha, the end is truly in sight, wouldn't you say?"
Yami Yugi scowled. "Not with my Chaos Mage and Seiyaryu protecting me." Yami Yugi growled
"Oh, I think you'll find that once all of Thousand-Eyes Restrict's eyes are opened and directed at your Magician of Black Chaos and Seiyaryu, they won't be able to protect themselves!" Pegasus laughed "Oh, trust me, you'll see what I mean very shortly."
"Hmm." Yami Yugi murmured
'Soon, every eyeball on my Thousand-Eyes Restrict will open up, and all the monsters that Yugi has on the field will be paralyzed, unable to attack or defend. Then nothing will stop me from assimilating both that Chaos Mage and Seiyaryu and winning this duel once and for all!' Pegasus thought as he smirked
'I may not know what Pegasus is planning to do with that monstrosity. of his, but whatever it may be, I can't let it happen.' Yami Yugi thought, before closing his eyes for a minute. 'Not after the tremendous bravery Yugi made to give us a fight chance against Pegasus.' he thought back to Yugi who sacrificed everything in order to give them fighting chance. 'Yugi gave up everything for me to win, I won't let his last heroic be in vain.'
"Pegasus! You can do your worse, but this duel will be won with the card that Yugi picked in with his final act of courage!" Yami Yugi exclaimed, pointing at Pegasus.
However, Pegasus just laughed, his arms crossed and his one eye closed. "Hahahaha, we'll see about that," he said, his eye shot open. "Thousand-Eyes Restrict! Time to open your peepers!"
The eyes on Thousand-Eyes Restrict began to open. Yami Yugi glared and shouted. "Chaos Mage! Seiyaryu! Prepare yourselves to try to hold him off." He told his monsters. Magician of Black Chaos crossed his arms while Seiyaryu flexed her wings.
"There is nothing you can do to hold this attack off." Pegasus said as he grinned like a madman. "For now, I unleash the Thousand-Eyes-Spell!"
Each and every single one of Thousand-Eyes Restrict's eyes opened up and shot a green-energy beam everywhere around the field. Before Yami Yugi knew it, both his magician and dragon was completely paralyzed.
"My Chaos Mage and Seiyaryu!" Yami Yugi exclaimed in shock.
Pegasus snickered before explaining what he did. "Is trapped by the mystic gaze of my ultimate beast. And don't think you can rescue them. There's no escape from the mesmerizing-eyes whose gaze blankets your field. Even the monsters you've hidden from me have become paralyzed."
"You haven't won yet." Yami Yugi stated.
"He's right. This duel isn't over yet Pegasus." Hikari Tea said
"Don't be a fool. In just a matter of moments my Thousand Eyes Restrict will assimilate your Chaos Mage and Seiyaryu, absorb both their powers and then finish you off with one thunderous-blast. There's nothing you can do!" Pegasus stated
"Arrgh!" Yami Yugi growled in frustration.
"Accept it, it's all over Yugi's last card has failed you both. His Millennium Puzzle will soon be mine. Alongside Tea's Star." Pegasus said.
"Grr!" Hikari Tea growled in frustration.
"Thousand-Eyes Restrict! Assimilate both the Chaos Mage and Seiyaryu with Absorption force!" Pegasus commanded.
Thousand-Eyes Restrict's eye began to shine pink, the light began to enveloped both Magician of Black Chaos who scowled, while Seiyaryu growled both trying their best to resist the light.
However that was what Yami Yugi was hoping for. "That's exactly what I was waiting for." Yami Yugi said as he flipped the card.
"Hahaha, soon your Magician of Black Chaos and Seiyaryu and their powers will be mine." Pegasus laughed thinking he had won.
"Wrong." Yami Yugi said, catching Pegasus off guard.
"If I were you, I take a look again." Hikari Tea stated.
Pegasus's eyes widened, as hundreds of Kuribohs began to appear infront of Magician of Black Chaos and Seiyaryu, with swirls in their eyes.

"What's happening?!" Pegasus demanded.
"You were right about your Thousand-Eyes Spell, it did affect all my hidden monster specificity Kuriboh, along with both my Chaos Mage and Seiyaryu." Yami Yugi explained.
"No! This can not be!" Pegasus shouted in anger.
"Yes." Yami Yugi smirked, before revealing his down card. "And I also activated my second face-down card Multiply, now one Kuriboh is becoming many."
Pegasus just watched as the Kuribohs continued to duplicate. 'Those disgusting fuzzy balls they're spreading like wildfire.' Pegasus thought in disgust.
"And since it's too late to call off your Absorption Force, your Thousand-Eyes Restrict has no choice but to assimilate them all." Yami Yugi said.
"If it can that is." Hikari Tea remarked.
Thousand-Eyes Restrict began to absorb all of the Kuribohs, the small fiends began to cover the eyes on Thousand-Eyes Restrict. Pegasus just looked disgusted at the furry devils attached to his monster.

Yami Yugi chuckled. "Tens of thousands, and with the way Kuribohs attacks, you'll be seeing just as many explosions."
"No! Kuriboh self-destructs on contact with the enemy!" Pegasus exclaimed.
Soon all the Kuribohs exploded, covering Thousand-Eyes Restrict in nothing but explosions, forcing Pegasus to cover his face for the blast, his hair flailing wildly. As the blast subsided, he glared at Yami Yugi, whose body was covered in shadows.
"Curse you, Yugi Muto! You and your Kuribohs!" Pegasus said
"Since Kuriboh was my monster, so I do lose 300 life-points." Yami Yugi smiled

"And now that your monster's transfixing gaze has been broken, my Chaos Mage and Seiyaryu are free. And you are through." Yami Yugi said as the Magician of Black Chaos landed back on the field and glared at Pegasus. Seiyaryu also landed on the field and roared, ready to finish the duel.
Pegasus gasped, sweat pouring down his face.
"Let's finish this, Hikari!" Yami Yugi exclaimed.
"Yes, Yami!" Hikari Tea exclaimed.
Pegasus scowled, but to his shock, Kikyo appeared behind Yami Yugi and Hikari Tea. she wore a sad expression on her face as she stared at him. "It's over, father." she told him. Pegasus' eye widened, but Yami Yugi and Hikari Tea's voices brought him back to reality.
"Magician of Black Chaos attack with Chaos Scepter Blast!" Yami Yugi shouted.
"Seiyaryu, attack with Holy Fire!" Hikari Tea shouted.
Magician of Black Chaos raised his scepter high, gathering dark energy before he slammed it down, unleashing a dark blue orb with black electricity at Thousand-Eyes Restrict.
Seiyaryu roared and unleashed a stream of blue flames that fused with the orb of Chaos, creating a spiral of blue flames around it.
Yami Yugi and Hikari Tea shot their arms forward. "Go, Chaos Holy Blast!" both shouted.
The attack smashed into Thousand-Eyes Restrict and exploded, consuming the beast in a bright light.
"Your Thousand-Eyes Restrict is destroyed." Yami Yugi said.

"Oh no!" Pegasus shouted, clenching his head.
Back outside, everyone gasped, feeling a familiar presence. They were silent for a minute until Joey broke it.
"You guys feel that?" Joey asked.
"Yeah." Tristan nodded.
"It feels like Yugi." Sonia stated.
Tea, who had changed back, smiled with joy. "It is Yugi." she said happily.
Hikari Tea appeared beside Tea smiling. {Yes, his spirit has returned. Thanks to you and the others.}
Back inside the dome, Yugi had both hands on the console, his head down before he looked up and glared at Pegasus.
"It's over, Pegasus; we've won." Yugi said as images of his friends and Yami Yugi and Hikari Tea appeared behind him.
Pegasus just looked up, devastated by his loss.'No, no! It's Impossible. My Eye! My Magic. It all failed me, Cecilia, my love. I'm sorry, I have failed.' Pegasus thought.
Pegasus placed his elbows onto his console with hands on his head. "I've lost!" he shouted.
Yugi sighed in relief as he appeared in his mind facing the Spirit of the Puzzle.
"Thank you, Spirit; I couldn't have done it without you." Yugi said.
"No." Yami Yugi shook his head. "Your courage and the bond you and your friends share prevailed this day."
"And your determination, along with Tea and her spirit as well." Yugi smiled.
"Hmm.:" Yami Yugi nodded, knowing that if it weren't for Hikari being there for him, he wouldn't have had the strength to continue.
Both gave each other high-fives. "We all did it together." Yugi smiled.
"Yes, as friends." Yami Yugi said.
"And that's what it all comes down to." Yugi said as they both looked at images of their friends who appeared before them. "Friends being there for one another."
Outside, the others saw that the dome was beginning to dissipate. "Look, it's starting to vanish." Joey said.
"Yeah, and I think I can see something." Tristan said.
"Me too." Sonia stated.
They all watched the dome of darkness continue to vanish until they made out a figure. They all saw it was Yugi alive and well.
"It's Yugi!" they all shouted happily as they rushed over to him.
In the stands, Red-Eyes Queen saw Yugi and was astonished that he had beaten Pegasus. "Well done; I guess you are Kikyo's son after all." She said, impressed, and then heard a groan, and she looked down to see who had woken up.
Yugi turned to see his friends approaching him. "Hey, guys." Yugi smiled.
Joey placed his hands on Yugi's shoulders. "Yuge, you did it." Joey said as he trembled before Sonia pulled him back.
"Joey is trying to say it's really great that you and your family are going to be reunited." Sonia said.
"Yeah, for sure, but also you." Joey tried to say something, but Tristan interrupted.
"Also, we all wanted to say how impressed we are with you for being so brave and all." Tristan smiled
"Yeah, Impressed and we're." Joey said, sweating a bit.
"And we're so proud of you, too." Sonia said, interrupting Joey yet again.
"Aw, come on, you guys are saying what I wanted to say!" Joey shouted, stomping his feet.
"Well, if you to say something, say it." Sonia told him.
Joey just shook his head and smiled. "Never mind, whose cares what matters is that you're fine, Yuge."
Yugi nodded as he looked at Tea, who frowned and hit him in the head, making him yelp in pain, shocking everyone. "Ow! Why'd you do that Tea?" Yugi shouted, rubbing his head.
"Don't scare me like that! I swear I was going to have a heart attack when I didn't sense you!" Tea shouted with tears in her eyes.
Yugi looked at her, seeing the pain in her eyes. The others chuckled at the exchange, including Red-Eyes Queen and Bakura, who had awakened not long ago.
"I'm sorry to make you worry, Tea." Yugi apologized; he held out Seiyaryu. "Thanks for being there for me." he smiled.
Tea smirked, taking her monster back from him. "Thanks. Now it's time to free Kikyo and the others."
Yugi nodded and turned back to see Pegasus was gone. "Pegasus! Damn! He's gone!" Yugi cursed.
"Why am I not surprised." Joey scowled dryly,
"Double-crossing snake!" Tristan scowled.
"We should have known; he wouldn't keep his promise." Sonia clenched her fist.
"Let's go find him." Tristan said.
"Wait, we can't just leave Red-Eyes Queen and the others alone." Tea said.
"Hey!" Bakura shouted.
Everyone looked up to see Bakura waving at them. "Hey, everyone." Bakura waved.
"Bakura." Yugi said.
"Hey, I see you're back to normal." Tristan called out, which confused Bakura.
"Back to normal?" Bakura questioned.
Red-Eyes Queen looked at Bakura, wondering what Tristan was talking about.
"I guess he doesn't remember." Tristan said, getting everyone's attention.
"Remembers what?" Yugi asked.
"That evil spirit took over Bakura again, and I tossed the Millennium Ring into the forest." Tristan explained.
"Then good riddance if the Spirit took me over again." Bakura said.
"If you're ok, do you mind staying with Red-Eyes Queen to help guard Kaiba and Mokuba?" Tea asked.
"Sure." Bakura nodded.
With that, Yugi and the others left the room to find Pegasus. However, Bakura began to walk away. Red-Eyes Queen turned to Bakura and spoke. "Where are you going?" she asked.
"I'm going to help in the search, and I need to make up for what I did." Bakura told her.
Red-Eyes Queen looked at him for a minute and nodded. "Alright, I can handle myself. Go help the others free all those souls." she said, turning back to Kaiba and Mokuba.
Bakura walked away from Red-Eyes Queen. However, he gave a sinister smirk as the Millennium Ring appeared around his neck. 'If Pegasus puts the souls back into Kaiba and Mokuba, they will be useless, and I could efficiently deal with the female as payback for being denied the body I wanted. However, Pegasus is weak from his duel with Yugi, which is the perfect chance to add his Eye to my collection.' Yami Bakura thought it would seem despite Tristan's efforts, the evil spirit wasn't so easily disposed of.
A/N: that was the longest chapter of Yu-Gi-Oh we have ever done, we decided to fit the whole 5 parts into one single chapter, which is why it took so long to release, but I hope it was worth the wait. For some cards, we had to create some to work along with the duel and change certain cards to work with the duel, but I say it came out well. One of those cards was Double Down, a combo card that works with Magical Hats when there are 3 hats left. And you all noticed the Millennium Puzzle and Star and how they reacted within the final parts of the duel, a hint to their connection later on in the story. I thank both SkylanderZilla and Sandshrew master for their help. Without them, this chapter wouldn't be done, and now my co-writers have words to say.
1st Co-A/N SkylanderZilla: Well, that was a long chapter, don't expect many of these to come out in the future. The OC Card Dao Mystic Box is an upgraded version of the original where it could be used by any Magician Monster in a combo attack to the point that the number of boxes that appear depend on the situation at hand.
2st Co-A/N Sandshrew Master: High, with this chapter done, the duelist kingdom arc is nearing the end and with it begins the next one, which I think you all will enjoy but first I think we all know what coming up next, but until then let us know what thought of the duel and did live up to the original.
