Prologue
"Prince Endymion, I would like to request an indefinite leave of absence."
"I'm sorry about the loss of your sister. I know you were very close to Kakyuu." Two men's eyes met with a mutual respect. The Prince took his most trusted High Counsel's right hand. "Anything you need, my friend. You did everything for me during the death of my mother and I would like to return the favor. As much time as you need."
"Thank you."
"Where will you be going?"
"Wherever the wind takes me." The dark-haired counsel bowed before turning to the door, with his long pony tail trailing behind his back.
"Usagi! Are you ready yet? We have to move soon if we want to get to Earth before nightfall!" a blonde-hair beauty shouted.
"Almost! I'm trying to find my Moon locket!"
Just as Minako was about to make a comment about the princess inability to find anything after an hour, Usagi screamed out "FOUND IT! Let's go." Usagi dashed out of the room grabbing Minako's hand.
"Are you sure we're doing the right thing? We're going to a foreign country, hell a foreign planet, without proper escort and protection." Minako said in a worried tone.
"I want to surprise Endymion for his 25th birthday! Besides, what could happen?" Usagi dismissed the worries. Besides, Earth is so much more beautiful with it's mountains, trees, and lakes than the moon, which is nothing but flat land. Usagi thought to herself.
"You never worry and leave all the security details to your poor friend." Minako complained. Along with being Usagi's best friend. Minako is in charge of the Princess Serenity's safety. Many times, Minako doubles as Princess Serenity to ensure the safety of the Lunar heir. Because of the spontaneous nature of Usagi's visit, Queen Selenity thought it was best to go undercover since not enough Royal Guards can be spared at such short notice to form a secure detail.
"The visit should be harmless. Endymion has his best guards waiting for us at the landing site. Besides, no one knows we're going to be there." Usagi said as she dragged a reluctant Minako onto the journey to the blue planet.
"Watch Out!" Usagi screamed as she leaped in front of Minako, taking a dagger to her left side. Waves of pain flushed over Usagi as she felt all energy drain away as the Assyrian fighter pulled out of his dagger.
"Get the other girl! This one is a guard. She must be the princess." The leader of the group said as they surrounded Minako, mistaken as the moon princess. The gang converged around Minako as they dragged her off kicking and screaming.
"What about this one?" One of the fighters asked.
"Leave her to die."
