And here we go for chapter nineteen. As you already know, be aware about flashbacks and scenes that might not be suitable for most of you. This might make you a little better unlike the last chapter. Anyways, you already know the disclaimer, so enjoy!

Chapter 19: The Lightning Chariot + DLC: Revenge, Sorrow, and Family

Music playing: Solo Menu (Viridi)

The Forces of Nature were all enjoying a nice breakfast. They decided that it would be nice to gain energy before they could begin the mission. "You surely know the best for all of us, Mistress Viridi," said Phosphora. "You cook the best food around the kitchen!" "Well, I always know what food is best for my army," Viridi responded. "Quite right, Mistress," said Arlon. "But I'm not so sure about Cragalanche here." Cragalanche didn't seem to be eating any of the food, considering the fact that he was a rock and couldn't really eat anything that much, nor talk. "That doesn't mean he can't be around here during our meals," said Viridi. "All of our commanders, including me, have to be present in order for any of us not to do anything stupid. Erm... No offense." "None taken, Mistress," Phosphora responded. Pit, however, didn't seem to be eating anything on his plate. In fact, he still wasn't feeling very well ever since the traumatizing battle yesterday and the nightmare he had last night. It still haunted him in the morning and he just couldn't get it out of his head. Why did I have to go through all of that? he thought to himself. First I became a ring, then Devil Pit took over my body and killed many innocents, then I witnessed Lady Palutena rejecting me when she was now with her "Ex-Captain," and now I had to suffer a worst nightmare I dreamt last night! I... I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE! He suddenly ran out of the dining area, crying in tears of anguish. Everyone was concerned about the angel's sorrow. "Pit is still traumatized after last night?" said Phosphora. "I feel bad for him. He protected me from that monster and helped me defeat him." "I feel the same way, Miss Phosphora," Arlon agreed. "I told him about what happened all those years ago and he helped me defeat the Devil. Even though he's still around." "Pit..." Viridi sighed. Ever since she comforted the little angel about his nightmare, she felt terrible seeing him suffer. "Mistress Viridi? Are you alright?" Arlon asked. Viridi couldn't say anything. She felt terrible to see Pit traumatized from what he was been through. But after a moment I silence, the Goddess of Nature broke it. "No, and neither is Pit," she began. "He's been broken after what he witnessed to the evil side of Palutena thanks to Devil Pit. I suggest that all of us go to him and cheer him up. If we can do that, he might as well feel better so that he can help us with the mission." "I whole heartedly agree with you, my Mistress," said Arlon. "Me too!" said Phosphora. Cragalanche nodded silently in agreement. "Okay! Let's go find him!" said Viridi. They all left the dining area together to find the saddened angel.

It didn't take long for the quartet to find the angel crying in the hallway of all of their rooms. They immediately frown upon seeing his crying state and all came together to see him. "Hey Pit..." said Viridi. Pit slowly looked up upon hearing the goddess' voice. "Listen, you might not feel better just yet, but we're here to help you." "But... Y-You don't know what I've been through," Pit began. "I've been fully traumatized because of what happened yesterday and last night! Do you know how I feel when I lost Palutena because of that monster?!" "Pit..." Viridi began, but Pit continued to sob. "I failed my goddess, Palutena!" he continued. "I lost the battle! I can't continue on like this! I don't want to live on like this!" Everyone was shocked to hear the angel saying that. Cragalanche slowly started to move towards the angel. He place his arm above Pit's head and gently patted him. This made the angel stop crying and slowly looked up at the rock commander. "Cragalanche...?" he asked. Cragalanche then moved his other arm as a sign of giving him a fist bump. Pit smiled and offered the rock commander a fist bump. "Thanks. I really needed that," said the angel and he started to calm down. Cragalanche gave him a nod and moved back. Arlon came up to Pit next. "Young Master Pit, you shouldn't say harsh words like that," he began. "I'm honored to have a warrior like you help Mistress Viridi and the Forces of Nature complete their goal in saving Lady Palutena. She would be happy to see you again once we bring her back. Once we conclude this war, peace will be achieved for everyone." He then gently patted Pit's head and the angel let out a little laugh. "Thanks, Arlon," he said. "I promise I would do anything to get Lady Palutena back." "My pleasure, Master Pit," Arlon replied as he bowed. He then moved back and Phosphora came up next. "Pit, I was happy to have someone protect me from Devil Pit after he almost killed me," she started. "If you didn't push me out of his line of attack, I would've been dead. You kept me company like a good friend. Heck, I even returned the favor by helping you defeat the Aurum for good." Pit smiled at Phosphora about that time. "But, when you said those harsh words to yourself, that's what broke my heart," Phosphora continued. "If you didn't want to live on, I won't know what to do if that happened. You're like a brother I haven't had in a while. I may have flirted with you and even called you 'cute,' but I was only teasing with you. Besides..." She then hugged Pit tightly. "I would always find you a part of the family, bro." Pit smiled and gently hugged Phosphora back. "Thank you, heh, sis," he said. "I really appreciate your words." Phosphora smiled warmly and moved back. Lastly, it was Viridi's turn. But instead of saying anything, she immediately rushed to Pit and hugged him in a tight squeeze. She also began to cry in tears. Pit, along with everyone else, were shocked to see the mighty Goddess of Nature sobbing. "Listen, Pit, you should NEVER say such harsh things to yourself," Viridi began. "Ever since you were traumatized, I always tried my best to help you return back to normal, even if it means that you'll be living with us for a long time. But... To tell you the truth, there's something I have never felt before for a really long time; friendship." Pit was surprised to hear this. "B-But don't you have your commanders to be with you?" he asked in disbelief. "Besides them, I never had any friends," Viridi continued. "The only times I get to hang out with them was as if they were not busy. But in times when they were busy with a lot of things, I was so lonely." She continued to cry in Pit's arms while he hugged her back. Even the other commanders were sad to see her cry. Cragalanche even shed a small tear from his right eye. "Hey, Viridi?" said Pit. "What is it?" Viridi responded after she stopped crying. "There's something I need to tell you," Pit responded. "During one of my mission, Lady Palutena told me that I really need to make some friends. Truth be told, I never had any either. When the centurions and Lady Palutena were busy with their duties, I was alone as well. I guess we're both on the same boat." This made Viridi giggle a bit. "Maybe after when this is all over, I can ask Lady Palutena to take me here anytime I want," Pit continued. The comment shocked everyone else. "You would ask her that?" Viridi asked. "Yeah. I mean, with you guys together with me, it's like a have a lot of friends now," Pit responded. "Better yet, it almost feels like a family, just like Lady Palutena who treated me like her 'son' and I treated her like my 'mother.'" Viridi then offered Pit a hand which he gratefully accepted and stood back on his feet. "Alright. I feel much better now," the angel continued. "I'm ready to save Lady Palutena!" Everyone was happy to hear that. Suddenly, Pit noticed something on the balcony. He quickly ran to it and saw something amazing. "Hey! Look at this!" he called the others. Everyone else followed and were surprised at what they saw. The rain stopped and out came a beautiful rainbow, glimmering around the shinning sun. "It's...a rainbow!" Viridi gasped. "Look at that! It's beautiful!" Phosphora gasped in awe. "Indeed it is. Looks like we also stopped the rain after cheering up the young master," Arlon agreed. Cragalanche nodded in agreement. "Alright, let's go back and continue eating our breakfast," said Pit. "Can't go on our mission with empty stomachs." This caused everyone else to laugh and Pit joined in. Then they all went back to the dining area to finish eating.

But little did they know that Devil Pit heard the conversation and he was not happy. "Those fools think they can stop me by having their angel ally with them now," he said. "I don't think so. I must follow him on the quiet so that I can kill him for good. I just need to make sure that he won't notice me until the time is right." He then flew away with his Flintlock Staff equipped for the mission. "Soon you will meet your doom," he continued. "And then, your friends will be joining you very soon."

After breakfast, it was time to begin the mission. Pit rushed to the door with the Black Club equipped. "I'm ready to roll!" he said as he jumped through the door. "Then let's get to rescuing Palutena!" said Viridi as she flew Pit across the sky. Suddenly, Underworld enemies appeared to slow him down. "Underworld troops on the scene!" Pit exclaimed. He also saw the Forces of Nature allies to take the enemies down. "I'll send in some backup," said Viridi. "If they get in your way, I'll pull them out." Pit smiled at Viridi's helpfulness for her ally. "You know, you can be really nice when you try," he said. He then proceeded to take down more Underworld enemies with the help of the Forces of Nature. "The force field around Palutena's temple is incredibly strong," Viridi continued. "We're going to need to borrow the Lightning Chariot." "That sounds AWESOME!" Pit exclaimed. "It's a superfast battle carriage that travels the galaxy," Viridi explained. "It's also pulled by unicorns!" "And that's what I'm gonna use to break through the force field?" Pit asked. "Exactly," Viridi responded. "So basically, you're telling me to slam a horse cart into a brick wall," Pit wondered. "Sure, if you want to put it crudely," Viridi giggled. "Which means I might die," Pit continued. "Well, anything's possible," Viridi giggled again. "Does the Lightning Chariot at least have air bags?" Pit asked, worried. "Last I checked, no," the Goddess of Nature responded. "Uh, I'm not a safety nut, but even I draw the line somewhere!" Pit cried. "So you don't really care about saving Palutena after all," said Viridi. "Grrrr..." Pit growled. "She could be in agony at this very moment," Viridi continued. "She could be trapped inside a dungeon of madness. She could be crying out, 'Oh, help me, Pit! Oh, please!'" "OK OK OK OK OK!" Pit exclaimed, stopping Viridi's ranting. "I guess it IS my duty to rescue her." "Yeah, I know! That was my point!" Viridi responded. Pit continued to take down more and more Underworld enemies. Then he realized that he was flying low to the ground. "Aren't I a little low to be flagging down the a galactic chariot?" he asked Viridi. "It's not like those chicken wings of yours are really helping any," Viridi responded. "Yeah, yeah," Pit groaned. "Don't worry. I've got a great plan," said Viridi. "This oughta be good," Pit wondered. "Have you ever been to the circus, Pit?" Viridi began. "My favorite act is the human cannonball. It's just such a...thrill ride!" "Where are you going with this?" Pit worriedly asked after receiving four more Recovery Orbs to replenish his health. "We're going to do our own version...but with an angel instead!" said Viridi. Pit immediately started to panic. "No way, uh-uh, absolutely NOT!" he yelled. "Ugh, you're so boring!" Viridi groaned. "Where's your sense of adventure?" She then flew Pit into the Angel Cannon as it slowly rose upwards. "Three! Two! One! FIRE!" Viridi counted down and the cannon blasted Pit to the higher sky. "Waaaaaaaaoh!" he cried. Soon enough, Pit arrived into space and came to a stop. "I could've been blown to smithereens!" he whined. "But you weren't! Look on the bright side!" Viridi replied. Along the way, Pit saw something around the entire area. "So, what's all this?" he asked. "These are patterns formed by galactic particles," Viridi answered. "Beautiful, aren't they?" "Yeah. They really are beautiful," said Pit. "Kinda reminds me the time when I showed you guys the beautiful rainbow this morning." "Yeah. It was a nice sight," Viridi agreed. Pit then continued onwards through space and took down more Underworld enemies. Viridi realized that there were too many of them. "The Underworld presence is very strong. Hmm," she said. "Do you think they're after the Lightning Chariot too?" Pit asked. But then Viridi noticed something coming really fast. "Huh?" she noticed before realizing what it was. "Here it comes behind you, Pit!" As on queue, the Lightning Chariot zipped right past Pit really fast. "Ah!" he yelped. "It is CRUISIN'!" "The chariot's headed for its home base," said Viridi. "Stay on it!" Pit flew right into a portal that leads to the Lightning Chariot's home base. But as he took down more enemies along the way, he heard a familiar voice saying, "Well, hello again, friends!" It was Hades. "Hades!" Pit said. "Ugh, not you again," Viridi groaned. "Just look at the two of you sneaking around behind Palutena's back," Hades chuckled, smugly. "It's classic." (A/N: Something tells me that Hades teases these guys like a good ol' couple.) "Shut your mouth!" Pit yelled. And you have NO RIGHT to say stuff like that to either of us! he added in thought. "What do you want, Hades?" Viridi asked, annoyed. "The Lightning Chariot, obviously!" Hades answered. "You creep! Just go away already!" Viridi yelled. In fact, you're already ruining my alone time with Pit! she added in thought. But then she shook her head. Wait! WHAT AM I THINKING RIGHT NOW?! she mentally yelled at herself. (A/N: That didn't come into mind by myself. I saw a similar comment to this from Chuggaaconroy's playthrough of this chapter and I decided that it would be nice to write it down, but in Viridi's thoughts.) "It's one slick ride. A veritable goddess magnet, if you will," Hades continued. "Please. I'm a goddess, and I would never ride in that thing," said Viridi. Although it would be nice to ride in it with Pit... she added in thought. But, once again, she shook her head. Grr! FOCUS VIRiDI! she mentally yelled at herself. THIS IS A SERIOUS SITUATION WE ARE IN RIGHT NOW! "But Pitty here sure likes it!" said Hades. "Are you only here to get in our way?!" Pit yelled. "My intentions are always honorable. You know that." Hades responded. "Whatever you're REALLY up to, we're going to find out!" said Pit, determined to complete his mission. As he took down more and more Underworld monsters and got out of the portal, Hades remembered something. "I forgot to mention, I'm not the only one going after that chariot," he said. "I'm also here to stop somebody else from reaching it." "Who?" Pit asked. "Me!" said another voice. "Look out, Pit!" Viridi warned, but it was too late. Pit was shot in the back and slowly began to regain his balance. "Ouch!" he cried. He then turned around to see that it was Devil Pit who shot him with his Flintlock Staff.

"Don't think I haven't forgotten about you, Pit," said the Devil. "My goddess instructed me to hunt you down and it looks like I hit the jackpot! Now that I have you on my sights, you have no chance of escaping!" "You again!" said Pit. "Wait! How did you get here very quickly?!" exclaimed Viridi. "Still as stupid as ever," said Devil Pit. "I was following you, even after you used a cannon to fire Pit into this spatial area." "Get out of my way!" Pit yelled. "I have to obtain the Lightning Chariot to break the force field and save Lady Palutena!" "Not a chance, flightless angel!" Devil Pit responded. "I'm not going to let you complete your mission that easily. Once I'm done with you, I'll be going after the Goddess of Nature next. Then, I will spread chaos throughout the whole universe!" "OK! First of all, you've been calling me 'flightless angel' countless times!" Pit yelled "And second, what is your reason why you want to kill Viridi so badly?! TELL ME!" "Pit! Calm down!" Viridi exclaimed in shock. "Oh snap! Pitty Pat is looking tough again," said Hades. "My reason for that is none of your concern," Devil Pit replied. "Now then, I must exterminate you from reaching your object. After that, I must enter the home base to collect what is mine!" "Not on my watch!" said Pit and the two of them readied themselves to fight.

Pit started the battle by charging at Devil Pit and swung his club at him with full force, only for his enemy to quickly dodge it and then counterattack with a shoot attack. The cause of that attack made Pit bleed. "Ouch! My arm!" he cried. "Pit! Be careful!" Viridi warned. "His attacks are like a shooting sniper! I suggest you stay out of his line of attack!" "I'll try!" said Pit. "This is such a fun battle to watch!" said Hades. "I wish I had brought some popcorn for this fated battle!" "That would be funny, considering that you wouldn't be living on once I'm done with him and that goddess," said Devil Pit. "Will you both shut up?!" Viridi yelled. After Pit's wound healed, he released a charged shot at Devil Pit. This made impact on his enemy and he was pushed back by that hit. "Not bad!" he said. "But let's see if you can dodge this!" He then fired rapid shooting attacks at Pit and the angel swiftly flew away to avoid them. But this also led Devil Pit chasing him in a hot pursuit. "You're not getting away from me!" he called. "I'm not letting you leave this place alive!" "That's what you think, Devil Pit!" Pit yelled back. "That doesn't mean I can't do THIS!" He then flew right underneath Devil Pit and went behind him. "What the?!" Devil Pit gasped. Before he could do anything, Pit gave his enemy a powerful blow with his club. The impact caused Devil Pit to fly backwards and Pit flew after him. Then, the angel did a sweet melee combo to finish the fight. This made Devil Pit drop his Flintlock Staff in defeat. "This isn't over!" he yelled. "I will return!" He then flew away from the angel. "Yeah! Get out of here!" he yelled at his arch-nemesis. "Alright, Pit. Let's continue with our mission to retrieve the Lightning Chariot!" said Viridi. Pit nodded and flew onwards to continue his mission.

Music stops and switches back to: The Lightning Chariot

Suddenly, Pit nearly got hit by a lightning strike. "Ugh! Whoa!" he yelped. "It gives me such pleasure to see you suffer, Pitty Pat," said Hades, smugly. "Just like when I saw you battle our prisoner and nearly got killed." "Just ignore him and the other monster, Pit," said Viridi. "The Lightning Chariot is up ahead." "We've got to get to it before the Underworld does!" said Pit. And possibly Devil Pit since Hades mentioned him going after it, too, he added in thought. I don't think he's gone just yet after I battled him earlier. Then he saw a large tower coming up close. "Both the Lightning Chariot and its master are in that tower," Viridi explained. "I'll drop you off on the ground floor." "OK. I'll make my way up from there," said Pit. "Just so you know, the tower's really, really tall," Viridi pointed out. "Get ready to feel the burn!" "No worries there," said Pit. "Have you seen these thighs?" I really want to touch them because of how strong they are... Viridi thought, blushing. But then she shook her head. No! I must focus on the mission. Then she moved Pit closer to the tower. "Ready for land battle, Pit?" the goddess asked the angel. "Affirmative!" Pit replied as he entered the tower. However, Devil Pit was still right behind him. "If you think I'm going to let you complete your mission, then you're dead wrong," he said. "You are going to die here and meet your demise soon enough." He then went around the tower to follow him from the opposite side.

Music stops and switches to: Lightning Chariot Base

Pit, and also Devil Pit from the other side, entered the base. "So the Lightning Chariot is in this tower, huh?" Pit wondered after eating the food. Then he heard a new voice. "Who dares trespass on my domain?" he said. "Leave before you get hurt!" "Who said that?" Pit wondered in shock. "I've had many names in my life, but now I am called the Chariot Master," the person revealed himself. "Oh, great! You're the guy I'm looking for," said Pit. "Listen, I have a favor to ask you. Would you mind if I borrow your chariot for just a little while?" "Your foolishness is matched only by your rudeness," replied the Chariot Master. "How dare you charge in here, flinging unreasonable requests at me? I've half a mind to turn you into galactic roadkill!" "You can't really blame him for being upset," Viridi agreed. "That was kind of rude." "Then I guess there's only one thing I can do," said Pit. "I'll go talk to this Chariot Master guy in person. He's at the top of this tower, right?" "That's right. Hey, look at you acting all assertive!" said Viridi, impressed at Pit's determination. "You're just grabbing life by the horns and shaking it until it moos!" Devil Pit heard that conversation and was disgusted by Viridi's tastes. "Why does she continue to talk like that?" he said while facepalming. "It's like she doesn't even know exactly what she's even talking about in the first place." Both him and the angel enemy continued onwards from both sides. Pit continued to take down more Underworld enemies and proceeded onwards. He also headed up a long hallway. "So...is there an elevator in this tower?" he asked. "Oh, would Prince Pit like me to scatter rose petals in his path too?" Viridi responded. "Listen, this is the only way up, so you'd better get a move on." But I really do want to scatter different rose petals. That would be nice and...lovely... She blushed but then shook her head. WHY DO I KEEP THINKING LIKE THAT?! I MUST FOCUS! she mentally yelled at herself. Devil Pit chuckled at Viridi's response to Pit's question. "I thought she was actually going to do that, but I guess not," he said. (A/N: To be fair, I was actually thinking the same thing.) Pit sighed and continued onwards. He took down more Underworld enemies that were in his way to move forward. He then entered a room where there's a moving platform. "You'll need to ride that platform to move forward," Viridi explained. Pit did as he was told, but he also asked Viridi a question. "You know what's weird, Viridi?" he wondered. "What?" Viridi asked. "There sure are a lot of Underworld troops here," Pit responded. "This tower does seem to be lacking proper defenses," said Viridi. "Any riffraff can just waltz on in," said Hades, who just came in. After all, little Pitty here had no problems. But I must admit that I ADORE running amok in other people's homes." The Chariot Master soon heard his voice. "Another uninvited guest? Very well. At least show your face," he said. "So my Lightning Chariot can erase you from existence!" "That's easy for you to say," said Devil Pit, from which nobody was listening. "After all, I see that you're still alive after our last encounter. Well, almost 'alive.'" Pit found a switch that activated mines to destroy all of the enemies at once. "Many birds, one boom!" he exclaimed. He continued onwards through the tower while taking down more Underworld enemies. He then entered a room where there is a where the floor panels alternated their electric currents. "Those floor panels alternate between hurting you and not hurting you," said Viridi, but she also found something confusing. "They don't seem to have any effect on those Underworld enemies, though," she continued. "Odd." "That's a known issue. It'll be resolved in the next version of the tower," said the Chariot Master. "Someone needs a better QA department," said Pit. After taking down the enemies in that room, Pit continued onwards around the tower. He then entered a room with giant pillars. "The Underworld has taken position up on top of the pillars," said Viridi. "Well, what goes up... Must come down!" said Pit. Pit took down the pillars and the enemies that were on them. After taking them out, he continued onwards around yet another long walkway. "Jump Pads will help you over any gaps in the walkway," said Viridi. "Man, climbing this tower is really a pain," Pit groaned. "Aw, someone sounds like he wants a piggyback ride!" said Hades. Devil Pit heard Hades say that and started to reminisce something. "'Piggyback ride?'" he started. "That's what my family were back at the time when I gave my brother piggybacks. If only SHE didn't do anything to them, none of this would have happened!" The thought about his past made him growl in anger. But he then calmed down and continued onwards. Meanwhile, Pit entered a room where he noticed something very unusual. "OK, so we've got rolling obstacles," he said. "And don't forget the Jump Pads," Viridi pointed out. But then Pit noticed something about it. "Something seems familiar about this..." he wondered. "I guess the Chariot Master has played Donkey Kong," said Hades. Suddenly, fire burst through the walls of the tower, catching everyone by surprise. "AH!" Pit and Viridi yelped. "What was that?" said Hades. "VIRIDI BREAKING THE FOURTH WALL WAS ONE THING, BUT YOU DOING IT HADES IS SOMETHING ELSE!" Devil Pit shouted. "YOU BETTER STOP DOING THAT! IF SOMEBODY ELSE BREAKS THE FOURTH WALL AGAIN, I'M GOING TO KILL THEM!" "Wait a minute...I know that voice..." said the Chariot Master. "It's you! You're the same monster that sent me to the Overworld many years ago!" Everyone gasped after hearing that. "I guess you haven't changed after all these years," said Devil Pit. "Never thought you would talk to me again after what I did to you." "Also how did you enter my tower?" the Chariot Master continued. "There was only one entrance." "I broke through from the other side," Devil Pit answered. "It may sound tedious, but it's something that I do to enter others' properties." "Um...Chariot Master? How do you know Devil Pit?" Pit asked. "I cannot tell you just yet," the Chariot Master replied. "If you want to know the truth, come to the top to the tower and I'll explain." Pit said nothing but nodded in affirmation and continued onwards. After getting through that... "referenced room..." Pit continued onwards around the tower. He then entered a room that has slippery ice and an Aether Ring. "Whoa!" he gasped upon almost slipping around. "It's solid ice!" "Using an Aether Ring should keep you from slipping around," said Viridi. "Why does the Chariot Master have a vehicle of the gods?" Pit wondered after hopping in the vehicle. "Isn't it obvious?" said the Chariot Master. "Are you saying you're a god?" Viridi asked. "I'm not saying anything," the Chariot Master responded. "Aurgh! Then why even bring it up?" Viridi groaned. Because I cannot tell you the truth until the angel arrives up here, he thought. I need to see how tough he is...just like how I was back in the day... After taking down the enemies, Pit hopped out of the Aether Ring and continued onwards. "Are we there yet? Are we there yet?" he asked. "No, we're not. No, we're not," Viridi responded. Devil Pit facepalmed after hearing that cliché question. "Are you serious?" he sighed in annoyance. "That question was so old and lame. Like I haven't heard that a lot of times." Pit then entered a room with land mines. "Be careful you don't step on any land mines," Viridi warned. "I'll do my best," said Pit. "Mines certainly are useless on floating Underworld monsters," Viridi pointed out. "Yes, yes, I'm quite aware of that," sighed the Chariot Master. "Defense really isn't your strong suit, is it?" said Hades. "Eh, whatever. Defenses are for the weak and insecure." "That's rich coming from you of all people," said Devil Pit. "At least MY defenses are much better then any of yours. Take it from someone who sets up high-tech security cameras around his areas." "But none of us are even into technology other than you," said Viridi. "Touché..." Devil Pit scoffed. Pit then continued onwards after taking down the Underworld monsters from that room. He exited, found a Grind Rail, and hopped onto it. "Hey there, Grind Rail!" he said. "Time to give these barking dogs a rest!" After hopping off, Pit entered another room witch contains a wrecking ball and Reapettes. "Hey, there's an oversized bowling ball. And some ugly bowling pins!" said Viridi. "My troops are a worthy sacrifice for the sport of kings," said Hades. "I wouldn't exactly call bowling the so-called 'sport of kings,'" said Devil Pit. Pit pushed the wrecking ball onto the Reapettes and knocked them all down. "STRIKE!" Viridi yelled out. "YESSSSSSS!" Pit cheered. Devil Pit slowly clapped at his victory. "Congratulations! You win no points!" he sarcastically cheered. "That was funny!" Hades chuckled. "NO IT WASN'T!" Pit and Viridi simultaneously shouted in annoyance. After that little "game," Pit continued onwards. "Are we there yet? Are we there yet?" he asked. "Are you seriously going to continue asking the same question?" Devil Pit groaned while facepalming. "Because if you are, you're starting to give me a headache." "Says the one that gave me a painful migraine when you were still in my body!" Pit yelled. Wait. What does he mean about that? Viridi gasped in thought. Man! Something like this is going terribly wrong. Pit then entered a room that has strong gusts of wind. "A severe wind advisory is in effect up ahead," said Viridi. "Thanks for the heads-up," Pit thanked. But no little breeze is going to slow ME down!" After getting through the strong winds, and taking down more Underworld enemies, Pit continued onwards and hopped on another Grind Rail. "How convenient!" he said. "Oh, I'm so pleased that it meets your approval," said Viridi, sarcastically. "Pfft," Devil Pit chuckled. "Did I say something funny?" Viridi questioned. "Oh nothing. It's just that I found it surprising that you're still helping your old enemy, even though you wanted to kill him three years ago," Devil Pit replied. "Why are you helping him anyway?" Viridi said nothing after that. Pit the hopped off the Grind Rail and enter another room where he was ambushed by more enemies. After taking them out, an Exo Tank apperaed. "Look! The Chariot Master has an Exo Tank!" Viridi exclaimed. "Maybe he's a gearhead," Pit wondered. "Or a nerd!" said Hades. "Well I believe that he is a god," said Devil Pit. "But I'm not going to explain in full details. Maybe the Chartiot Master himself can tell you what I mean by that." Nobody else said anything as Pit hopped into the Exo Tank and used it to move onto the next room. He then found a giant racetrack. "Cool! It's a path made of light!" he exclaimed in amazement. "Well, this is a nice design flourish," said Viridi. "No. It's a practice track for the Lightning Chariot," said the Chariot Master. "It's not for amateurs!" After getting through the practice track, while taking down more enemies in there, Pit hopped off the vehicle and continued onwards. "Soooo... Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet?" he asked. "Oh my god..." Devil Pit groaned while facepalming. "You know that saying that there are no bad questions? Well, there are, and this is one of them! WE ARE NOT THERE YET!" Viridi shouted and then she sighed. "But I do wish there was a way to speed up this process." "Well when it comes to towers, they are really tall," said Devil Pit. "They are also built the way the owner wants it to be. So deal with it." "Oooohhhhh..." Pit groaned upon hearing that. After taking down more enemies, he entered a room with a giant pillar. "This pillar seems to have gems stuck on it," he said. "What should I do with them?" "The same thing you always do: shoot them," said Hades. "Yeah, no shit," said Devil Pit. Pit did so and shot a gem form the pillar. "Hey! It got lower!" he exclaimed. "Keep knocking it down to reveal a way forward!" said Viridi. Pit then continued to shoot at the gems and managed to lower the pillar down. "Success!" he said, but there were more Underworld enemies. After taking them down, he drank another Drink of the Gods and hopped onto the revealed Jump Pad to go up. "Whoo hoo hoo hoo!" he exclaimed. After landing at a higher level, there were more Underworld troops waiting for him. "Now what do we have here?" Viridi asked. "It's time for my minions to do their thing," said Hades. "Underlings! I'm offering 100 gold for the putz's head!" "The name's Pit!" Pit scowled. "Yes. I know," Hades replied. "Your tenure as a ring doesn't seem to have had any effect on that keen wit of yours." "Wait, you know that I was turned into a ring?" Pit asked in shock. "Oh, is it a secret?" Hades replied. "Then don't mind me! Mum's the word!" "Did YOU turn me into a ring?" Pit questioned, damanding for answers. "Wow, you really are clueless," said Hades. "Don't you know, Pit? You're the cause of all this chaos." "Whaaaaat?! That makes no sense!" Pit yelled in disbelief. "I have to agree with the Underworld ruler. Why did you made all the innocent people suffer?" said Devil Pit. "Shut up!" Pit yelled. "You were the one that did that! Not me!" "Says the one that fell right into my hands," Devil Pit replied. "Don't let them get to you, Pit," said Viridi. "The Underworld Army and Devil Pit are the ones to blame." "Why, thank you. That's the sweetest thing I've ever heard you say," said Hades. "More like the sourest thing to say," said Devil Pit. "You know what? You're BOTH annoying," Viridi scowled. "Yow! She's feisty!" said Hades. "Wear gloves with this one, minions!" "Your minions don't even have any hands, you idiot," said Devil Pit. "Oh and by the way, I'm not actually going after the Lightning Chariot." "You're not?" Pit asked. "I'm actually going after another prize," Devil Pit continued. "But I'm not going to tell you about it yet." After taking down more enemies, Pit used another Jump Pad to move forward. "Am I ever going to get to the top of this tower?" Pit sighed. "I warned you before we got here that it was a long way up," said Viridi. "Yeah, but this place is so huge, we even had a loading screen back there," said Pit. "Except this is a fanfic story, not a video game." "Shhh, they're going to hear you!" Viridi shushed. "We're not supposed to talk about that!" But it was too late. Fire suddenly burst out of the walls and Pit dodged them quickly. "Yikes!" he yelped. "I THOUGHT I WARNED YOU TO STOP BREAKING THE FOURTH FUCKING WALL!" he boomed. "I HAD ENOUGH OF THIS! I'LL BE WAITING FOR YOU AT THE TOP AND YOU WILL BE SEEING THE END OF YOUR JOURNEY!" "Oh man! Why does things have to be so frustrating!" Pit groaned. "Well the lovely goddess warned you about not saying it, but you didn't listen," said Hades. "Hey! I didn't even know that, okay?!" Pit yelled. "And besides, I don't even know what this guy was even talking about." "And can you just shut up for ten minutes, Hades?!" Viridi yelled. Pit then took down more enemies and entered a room that was giant maze. "Uh... Are we there yet?" he asked. "For fuck's sake..." Devil Pit groaned while facepalming. "Yes. If by 'there' you mean 'at a maze,'" said Viridi. "But it's not that big, so you shouldn't have much trouble." "Are you sure about that?" Devil Pit questioned. (A/N: That might've sounded like a familiar joke about John Cena.) While Pit was taking down more enemies, and finding a way out of the maze, Viridi decided to say something. "Oh, look at us fighting on the same side!" she started. "You're like a member of my army now!" "Uh, I don't remember enlisting," said Pit. "I believe there are some latrines that need cleaning, private," Viridi continued. "Private?! No way! I'm a commissioned officer!" Pit replied. "Plus, how do you expect someone to clean your dirty toilets?" said Devil Pit in disgust. "That is so disgusting!" After taking down all of the enemies and finding a way out of the maze, Pit continued onwards. After going through around the tower, he entered a room where there were more Underworld enemies. "I've got a heaping helping of Underworld goodness for you, Pit!" said Hades. "He's saying that more enemies are on their way," said Viridi. "Clever, huh." "Yeah? Well, I whipped up a club-your-face sandwich!" said Pit. "Hope YOU'RE hungry!" "I would be hungry for mortal flesh and thirsty for blood," said Devil Pit. "TMI! That's way too much for us to hear!" said Hades. While taking down more Underworld enemies in that room, Viridi decided to say something. "I always forget how big clubs are," she started. "But they're not as heavy as they look!" Pit replied. "Bigger isn't always better, you know," Viridi continued. "Small things please small minds!" said Pit. And then this continued on as a "Quote Battle" between the angel and goddess. "The best things come in small packages." "So do small potatoes!" "Great oaks from little acorns grow!" "Talk softly and carry a big stick!" "The bigger they are, the harder they fall!" "I'm...large and in charge?" "You're too big for your britches!" "A bird in the hand will keep the doctor away?" "What?" "The squeaky wheel gets the worm." "Nope. Stop." That was pretty much the end of that skit and Hades found it hilarious. "Never thought I heard those two go back and fourth like that! That was priceless!" he laughed. But Devil Pit wasn't amused. "That was honestly the most stupidest conversation I have ever heard in my entire afterlife," he groaned with a facepalm. (A/N: That's honestly my favorite weapon conversation of them all! I was laughing so hard at that. I couldn't bring out the other ones from the recent chapters because of the other weapons I had to pick from good playthroughs. So, sorry about that.) After taking down all of the other enemies, Pit drank another Drink of the gods and exited the room. He then hopped on yet another Grind Rail. "Walking's for chumps!" he said. "Up you go!" said Viridi. "It's like watching a roller-skating chicken," said Hades. "Don't even pretend that that's not awesome!" Pit groaned in annoyance. "First of all, Hades, Pit is an angel not a chicken," Devil Pit sighed while facepalming. "And second, is it because of the fact that you want to be on it with Viridi, Pit?" "W-What?!" the angel exclaimed in embarrassment. "Now that would be something those two would definitely have," said Hades. "SHUT UP!" Pit and Viridi yelled out while blushing furiously. "Ahahahahaha!" both Hades and Devil Pit laughed. After that little skit, Pit continued to take down more enemies while on the Grind Rail. He also went through a lot of shōji doors. "Look at me go! I'm all, 'whoosh whooosh!'" he exclaimed. "Eloquently put as always," said Hades. "That's what he said," said Devil Pit. After Pit hopped off the Grind Rail, he entered a room that has a Cherubot. "Score!" he exclaimed. "Hop on in, Pit!" said Viridi. Pit did so and hopped in the Cherubot. "The Cherubot is pure mechanical brawn wrapped in an adorable package," Viridi continued. "So decimate anything that gets in your way." "Consider it done!" said Pit. "More like 'consider it undone,' because even after that, you might still have a lot of work to do," said Devil Pit. "Now you're just pouring salt in my open wounds," Pit sighed in annoyance. "And that's the end of them!" Pit exclaimed after defeat all of the enemies, until he asked again, "Are we there yet?" "Good job, and no, not yet," said Viridi. "But there's just a little ways to go. Oh, and I have a special treat for you up ahead." "I wonder if it's something horrible like Palutena did last time with her 'gift,'" said Devil Pit. "Don't even remind me of that time," Pit groaned. "Wait. How did you even know about that?" "Lucky guess, I suppose," Devil Pit replied. Pit continued onwards, took down more enemies along the way, avoided an Orne, and entered a room where his gift was waiting. "What what WHAT IS THIS?!" he gasped. "A. HUGE. HOT SPRING!" "WHAT?!" Devil Pit shouted in shock, after knowing that his predictions were incorrect. "You're not the only Hot-Spring fan," said Viridi, after spotting a Bumbledrop in it. "Apparently Underworld monsters value relaxation too." "But why can't they relax somewhere else? THIS IS MY SPECIAL ME TIME!" said Pit. "What the hell is your 'special me time?'" groaned Devil Pit as he facepalmed. After that little relaxation, Pit continued onwards up the tower. "Pit, I have some exciting news for both of us," said Viridi. "The Chariot Master is just ahead. So you can finally stop asking me if we're there yet." But you need to be careful, she added in thought. There also somebody else waiting for you. As soon as Pit entered the the top of the tower, he found Devil Pit waiting for him.

"It's about time you made it up here," said Devil Pit. "I was starting to get board waiting for you." "Oh... I forgot that you were waiting to kill me after what I did," said Pit. "But I just don't even know what you were-" Before he could continue, he was melee attacked by Devil Pit's weapon. "Argh!" he groaned after getting hit and knocked back. "I suggest you stop talking about that!" said Devil Pit. "It's really bugging me!" "Pit! Are you okay?" asked Viridi, worried. "Y-Yeah. I'm fine," Pit groaned after getting up. But before he could counterattack, he recognized that weapon Devil Pit was holding. "How did you get the Palutena Blade?" he asked. "Lady Palutena gave it to me," Devil Pit explained. "She gave me a mission to track you down and exterminate you in order to slow you down. And even if you defeated me, I'm not leaving the tower until I collect the prize that belongs to me." "First of all, only I get to call the Goddess of Light 'Lady Palutena!'" said Pit. "And second, what is this so-called 'prize' you wanted anyway?" "Like I said, it's none of your concern," Devil Pit replied. "Now if you'll excuse me, I have a job to finish. So allow me to exterminate you and then you're friends will be joining you in your demise." "Not if I have anything to say about it, Devil Pit!" Pit shouted as the two of them readied their weapons to fight. "Take him out, Pit!" said Viridi. "Show this monster what it means to mess with us!" "This is going to be fun to watch!" said Hades.

Devil Pit stated the big fight by releasing a charged shot at his enemy, but Pit avoided it quickly. It wasn't until Devil Pit decided to use forward dash shots to quickly hit Pit. This took Pit some damage. "You're not going down easily, are you?" he asked. "Well of course not!" said Devil Pit. "After all, you humiliated me back outside. So now I think it's time for some more payback." "But why are you even going after Pitty Pat?" Hades asked the Devil. "After all, you wanted to stop both him AND the rest of us." "Well that's because I cannot let him ruin my master plan," Devil Pit answered. "And once I'm done with this flightless angel, I'll be coming after all of you next. Then we'll rule a new world from which the Dark Allies will rise!" "You are not going to kill my sweetest angel boyfriend!" Viridi yelled. "You must be stopped so that we can complete our mission to rescue Palutena!" "Wait. What did you just say?" both Pit and Devil Pit simultaneously asked. This made Viridi blush madly and she shook her head. WHAT AM I EVEN THINKING?! she mentally yelled at herself. "Looks like rosebud is blushing like an actual soft rose," said Hades, smugly. "It's hilarious to see." "Shut up!" Viridi yelled. "Pit! Take down this monster before he could say anything else!" "With pleasure, Mistress Viridi!" said Pit. The way Pit said that made both him and the Nature Goddess blush together again. "Okay. This is starting to become ridiculous," said Devil Pit. "I'll just kill you right here and now." He then charged at Pit and swing his weapon, only for Pit to block it with his Black Club. He then proceeded to take his enemy down with a melee combo. With one final big swing of the weapon, Devil Pit was knocked back and defeated. "Curses!" he yelled in defeat. "Consider yourself defeated once again!" Pit yelled in victory.

Devil Pit fell on his stomach and struggled to get up. His Palutena Blade shattered after he lost the battle. "Urrgh..." he grunted as he continued to struggle. "I'm not going to let you leave here, Devil Pit!" said Pit. "Now tell me! Why did you do this to Lady Palutena?" "It's all part of my master plan," said Devil Pit. "I had the help with my pet to corrupt and manipulate her to cause destruction. I'm pretty sure that that wasn't the only thing you've witnessed." "What do you mean?" Viridi asked. "Tell me, Pit, do you remember that 'vision' you watched last night?" Devil Pit asked the angel. "Vision...?" Pit wondered. He thought for a moment until something clicked. He remembered the nightmare he had last night. "Are you talking about the bad dream I had?!" he asked, furiously. "In a way, yes," said Devil Pit. "After all, it was me that gave it to you when I followed you to Viridi's temple." "Hey! Isn't that stalking?!" Viridi yelled in anger. "Whatever it was, it was under Lady Palutena's orders," said Devil Pit. "I had enough of you!" Pit yelled. "It's time to finish you right here and now! I will bring you to justice for what you did to the innocents!" He then walked up to Devil Pit and raised his Black Club up to smash his head. "Go Pit!" Viridi cheered. "Show that Devil what happens when he messes with us!" "Oh goodie!" said Hades, thrilled. "This is going to be fantastic!" However, once Pit raised his weapon up, he didn't do anything else. Instead, he started trembling in hesitation and he couldn't understand why. What is going on? he thought to himself. Why can't I do anything else? I need to stop him from committing more monstrous crimes! "Pit? What's going on?" Viridi asked. "Stop hesitating and finish him off!" "Even I'm the one who's confused by this," said Hades. "I have never seen Pitty this hesitant before." Pit still didn't do anything to stop his enemy. He still trembled in hesitation. It looks like he's not doing anything to stop me, Devil Pit thought. Now's my chance to escape. In an act of escaping, Devil Pit quickly stood back up and knocked the weapon out of Pit's hands. Devil Pit then flew away as fast as he could out of the tower. "Oh come on!" Viridi groaned. "He got away!" "Wait a minute! He dropped something," said Pit. He reached for the item and noticed what it was. "Oh. It's another tape," he said. "A tape?" Viridi asked. "Why would he carry those things?" "I don't know. But I have a feeling that it might be useful," said Pit. In fact, I believe I still have the tape player with me, he added in thought. He then putted the tape into his pocket, drank another Drink of the Gods after that battle, and entered the warp to see the Chariot Master.

Pit arrived at a racetrack and found a regular chariot with Phos. "The Lightning Chariot!" he exclaimed. "Grab the reins on Phos there," said the Chariot Master. "Gee, thanks!" said Pit. "You misunderstand. This is no gift," said the Chariot Master as he rode on the other chariot with Lux and zipped by. Pit then hopped into his own and pursued after the Chariot Master to begin the fight. Devil Pit arrived as well, hid in the shadows in order for them not to see him, and watched the scene unfold. "Let's see how well Pit can take him on," he said to himself. "If you want the Lightning Chariot, you must prove your worth," said the Chariot Master. "You need two unicorns to pull the Lightning Chariot," Viridi explained. "That means you have to defeat the Chariot Master and get the other one." "That won't be a problem!" said Pit. "Now let's begin," said the Chariot Master. The two of them then fought each other with their weapons. But then Pit decided to tell the Chariot Master something. "This isn't how I wanted things to go, but I have to save Lady Palutena," he said. "I understand better than you know," said the Chariot Master. "For my own master, I would not hesitate to dirty these hands." "So you serve someone as well?" Pit asked. "I did. I've suffered countless war wounds, but none greater than the loss of my master," the Chariot Master explained. "I once had many comrades in arms. But they too have returned to the dust. All I have left in this life are my faithful steeds, Phos and Lux." "Oh..." said Pit. "My body has long since degraded, and now my soul grows thin," the Chariot Master continued. "The warrior's path inevitably leads to loss. I have no qualms about this. But you are no warrior, angel. Tell me, why do you fight?" "I fight for Lady Palutena. And I fight for the people under her protection!" Pit answered. "That's not reason enough for an angel," said the Chariot Master. "Especially when I saw you fight against that monster for what he did to me all those years ago. You also hesitated to finish him when you had the chance." "Who are you to question my reasons?" said Pit. "My choices are my own! And I choose to serve the goddess of light! But not only that, I also choose to fight against Devil Pit for what he did to all of us!" "I admire your conviction. It speaks to the deep reservoir of strength within you," said the Chariot Master. "But it also proves you very foolish. And though you may be a servant of the heavens, I will show you no mercy!" "And I won't need it!" said Pit. "We understand each other then," said the Chariot Master. "And we fight against the same enemy." "We do!" said Pit. "Your movements might be limited, but you can still dash and dodge," Viridi explained. "Dodge out of the way, then let him have it with a power-packed dash attack. I can only assume that he wants you to pull out all the stops for this fight." Devil Pit was watching the whole fight unfold and proud of how they both fight. "You both never seem to underestimate each other," he said. "I guess our first fights really did proven your time and strength." Pit and the Chariot Master continued to fight one another in their chariots. At long last, Pit was victorious. "I win!" he said in victory. "Well done..." the Chariot Master sighed. He then collapsed to the ground and Pit rushed to his side. "What's happening to you?" he asked. "Ah heh heh... I seem to have drowned in your reservoir of strength," the Chariot Master sighed. "You've proven yourself worthy of my Lightning Chariot." "Wait! I don't want it to end this way!" said Pit. "This is the only way things can end for an old warrior. I have no regrets," said the Chariot Master. "But before I go, there is something I need to tell you. You remember that monster you fought whom I recognized, correct?" "Devil Pit?" Pit answered. "If that is his name and you assume to call him that, then yes," said the Chariot Master. "Let me tell you my story about what happened to me, my comrades, and my master." A flashback began as the Chariot Master explained his story.

Chariot Master's POV

Begin flashback

My real name was Hercules. I was the older son of Zeus and I had a younger sister named Phosphora. We lived in harmony together as a happy family and our father taught us how to use the electric element. But one day, my instincts were telling me that I had other things to do. And the Palutena lady you mentioned, the Lightning Chariot wasn't the first chariot I had before. My very first chariot was the Heavenly Chariot. It was a gift from the Goddess of Light. I practiced using the chariot after I moved away from my family. But then, tragedy struck for all of us. That monster I mentioned came into this very same tower and attacked me. He then stole that chariot for his crimes. But before he left, he told me something, "I'll be sending you to the Overworld and see how those mortals will complete their tests." He sent me to the Overworld where I was taken to somewhere I was unfamiliar about. That was where I met my master and my comrades. I showed them all how well I was with the Lightning Chariot. Our master taught us how to fight for our safety. For years, we were using the Lightning Chariot to serve and protect others. But...we made a terrible accident. We destroyed a building that was built by Emperor Nero. He found us a threat to his empire and declared war on all of us. We fought against the emperor and his army and slain many of his troops. However, we were then captured and executed by him. Each and every one of us were slain by the emperor and his Sword of Death. Before I died, I saw that monster looking at me with his sinister eyes. I lost all of my comrades and master, but the only ones I had left were Phos and Lux of my Lightning Chariot.

"Oh no..." Pit cried in tears. "I...I didn't know Phosphora was your sister nor did I even realize that you met the same fate like her! What have I done?!" "Do not cry," Hercules replied. "Besides, your the warrior we know who can stop that monster for what he did to all of us." He then reached out his hand and Pit gently held onto it. "I want to make you and your ally a promise," Hercules continued. "What is it?" Pit asked after he stopped crying. "Promise me that you will take care of my little sister," Hercules explained. "I'm trusting you with her, Phos, and Lux. And the future of this realm." "I-I promise," said Pit. Hercules then let go of Pit's hand and slowly lied down again. "My sister, if you can hear me, I want to say that I'm sorry for not telling your allies this," he began. "Our father and I will forever watch you to see if you're okay after what we've been though because of that monster. Be strong for our family and your friends. I love you, sis." He disappeared and his last remains faded away. "He was an honorable warrior. Don't let his death be in vain," said Viridi. "I also promised to take care of Phosphora for him, too." She the opened up a light pillar. "Now let's go save Palutena," she finished as she whisked Pit back to her temple along with the Lightning Chariot.

Devil Pit came out of his hiding spot and noticed that Pit and the Lightning Chariot were already gone. "Good riddance," he said. "Even though Pit did get rid of one of my victims, he couldn't rest in peace after his death. All he wanted was a fair fight to let him rest. But, now that he's gone, time to claim what is mine." He left the racetrack and entered a hidden room where he found his prize. "There it is. The Heavenly Chariot," he said. "This is exactly what I need for our plan of counterattack. I remember using this all those years ago when I had the same problem of that barrier at HER temple." He then hopped into the chariot. "Giddyup, boys!" he ordered. "We better return to Lady Palutena now!" The unicorns neighed after they both rushed out of the tower and returned back to Palutena's Temple.

After Pit returned back to Viridi's temple, he heard crying coming from the dining area. He quickly rushed into the place and found Viridi comforting a crying Phosphora. "Shh...Let it all out, Phosphora," she whispered. "I'm so sorry, brother!" Phosphora cried. "If only I told the others about this!" Pit slowly walked up to the girls and felt heartbroken to see Phosphora like that. "Phosphora..." he began, but before he could say anything else, Phosphora quickly rushed to Pit, hugged him tightly, and continued to sob. "I'm so sorry, Pit!" she cried. "I now know who my brother was and I didn't get a chance to tell you!" "It's OK," said Pit. "He's in a safe place now and he'll forever watch you along with your father. I promise to take care of you like Hercules was." "Me too," Viridi agreed. "And I'm pretty sure the same thing goes for the rest of our forces." Pit and Phosphora nodded in agreement. "We do, Mistress," said Arlon, who just came into the dining area along with Cragalanche. "We always serve to protect an ally." Cragalanche slowly nodded as well. "Thank you, guys," Phosphora thank. "I shouldn't let that get in my way. I have to move on and fight for my family." Everyone else nodded. "Oh! That reminds me!" said Pit. He then pulled out the tape. "We should also bring everyone else for a meeting and listen to this tape." "You're right! I'll gather everyone in the room," said Viridi. They all left to gather the Forces of Nature together.

Soon enough, Pit, Viridi, and the other commanders, gathered all of Forces of Nature together to listen the tape. "Attention, my children!" Viridi ordered. "We have a very important meeting to announce. Pit has found something that we all must listen to together. Pit, will you do the honors?" "Why yes, of course, Viridi," Pit complied. He then placed the tape marked "Banished Fallen Angel" into the tape player and pressed PLAY.

"I can't believe that Palutena would do such a thing to me," the sinister voice began. "She was a useless excuse of a goddess. Disobeying my orders when I gave her warnings. I forced her to let me kill Gaia, and if she dared to disobey me, I would kill her. She helped me to commit my murder on her. But, after I committed that crime, I was filled with a bloodlust rage. I then went into the Thunder Cloud Temple and sent Phosphora to the Overworld. She will be joining her older brother soon. But, getting back to the topic at hand. I killed her father Zeus. Even though he wasn't dead just yet, his last remains are left into the Underworld. Palutena told me that I am now banished from Skyworld and will never see me again. I was enraged about her not listening to my warning. I then flew back to her temple while she sent out her guard to fight against me. None of them survived after I killed all of them. I tried to kill Palutena, but I was instead chained in place. Turns out she set up a trap. She then used half of her powers to banish me from Skyworld and I was taken to the Overworld. I was mad that she did this to me. I am now a fallen angel awaiting revenge against the Goddess of Light. I will find her, and then she will meet her own sister IN THE EXACT SAME DEMISE!" *click*

Everyone was shocked to hear this after the tape ended. "I-I don't know what to say about all of this!" Viridi gasped. "Who was that guy?" Phosphora asked in shock. "He sounded very scary..." The sound of the voice from that tape made her shiver in fear. "I agree with you, Miss Phosphora," said Arlon. "He sure sounded very sinister." Cragalanche couldn't say anything except shake a little bit in fear about hearing that voice. "This wasn't the first tape I heard," said Pit. "There were other ones I showed to Lady Palutena. But one thing's for certain is that we need to rescue her from Devil Pit's clutches!" "You're absolutely right, Young Master Pit," Arlon agreed. "Yeah. But I believe we need to take a nice long rest in order to prepare ourselves for the mission," said Viridi. Everybody else nodded in agreement and they all went to their rooms to rest.

Viridi was still awake and decided to head to Pit's room to check on him. She entered and found Pit sleeping soundly without any nightmares this time. Aw. He's so cute when he's sleeping peacefully, she thought to herself. Viridi moved closer to Pit and gently moved her head towards his own. "I'm happy to see you safe," she spoke softly. "If we didn't calm you down this morning, you would've gotten yourself killed. Thanks for helping us out with the mission today." She then gently pecked Pit's forehead, making the angel smile softly. "Sweet dreams, Pit," she said as soon as she left. Phosphora was also up to notice her. "So, you and Pit have a thing, huh?" she teased. "Oh shut up!" Viridi replied, quietly. "Let's just go back to sleep." The Goddess of Nature and Lightning Nymph headed back to their own rooms to sleep and get ready for the rescue mission to save the Goddess of Light, Palutena.

Meanwhile, Devil Pit returned to Palutena's Temple with the Heavenly Chariot. "I see that you've returned," said Palutena. "Did you complete your mission?" "I have more good news and more bad news," said Devil Pit. "That good news is that I got the Heavenly Chariot to slow Pit and his allies down in case they show up. The bad news is that they have now gotten the Lightning Chariot after the angel defeated me twice. But fret not, because since we have the Heavenly Chariot, I may as well use it to slow Pit down with his Lightning Chariot." "Captain! You will do no such thing!" a centurion yelled out. "You need to stop with your-" Before he could say anything else, Devil Pit slashed into his abdomen with his Sword of Death and killed him. "The next time someone else talks back to me like that, they will join him in his demise. YOU GOT THAT?!" he yelled the last part. The centurions reluctantly nodded in fear. "Now then, what's the next mission, my lady?" Devil Pit asked. "Your next mission is to slow Pit down with the chariot," Palutena explained. "But if he managed to break through, come back to me so that we can prepare ourselves for the fight. And should you need some assistance." She then summoned two more weapons for Devil Pit; a Bullet Blade and Guardian Orbitars. "Use these weapons to your advantage against him," she finished. "Much appreciated, Lady Palutena," said Devil Pit. "Now I must take my leave. Business calls elsewhere." He then left the temple in the Heavenly Chariot.

Music stops

Getting closer to the end of the Chaos arc. There was still a few sad scenes, but there were also some good ones after those. So, I once again apologize for those. By the way, I heard some news about the game's creator, Masahiro Sakurai, talking about making a remastered version of the game for a console port. Like the Nintendo Switch, for example. Although I'm not sure if he was either telling the truth or is trying to troll us. Only time will tell. Oh and the "Heavenly Chariot" idea didn't come from me. I got the idea from this story called "If You were a Real Goddess!" by BuddyJack. Go and check it out for yourself. But until the great news comes by, stay tuned for chapter twenty of my DLC, review, and have a great day!
