A Thousand Years

All Shapeshifters x Imprints/Mates

(Set After "Breaking Dawn")

The La Push Gang was one of the largest group of shapeshifters to go through many battles within their own native history and legends. They were once close and developed great friendships and a sense of brotherhood/sisterhood. The one thing that was a hope was for the pack to remain together regardless, but life got in the way and caused the original gang to part ways to live normal lives as much as possible.

A tragedy occurs that causes the entire gang to reunite once again, but to also find another wolf pack of the former younger members who joined before they parted ways. As the Original Gang joins together once more, they now have to face the Rogue Pack in order to reclaim the reservation under the original power.

Changes in everyone's lives are now shown in this story: from engagements to divorces, from new birth to death of loved ones, and from reuniting with old friends to making new ones...they've seen it all.

Or have they?

A/N: I do apologize again for another author note, as this is a VERY IMPORTANT one! Since I've last posted something on here, I have been in a very high spirits with my new school. Turns out, I was wrong. I have experienced a lot of heartache, stress, anger, frustration, and anxiety that it's much worse than I have ever experienced before.

I've lost a lot of interest with the things I've enjoyed, including writing. As of right now, I'm getting the help I need, but after working in education (specifically special education) for now six years, I'm coming to a decision of possibly leaving teaching altogether. I'm not sure what I'm going to do right now or in June as I'm currently under contract. I've been told by higher up staff members in charge of employment that if I were to resign in the middle of the year, I would be unable to be hired by anyone for teaching for three years. IF I were to resign in June, I would only be unable to be rehired by the county I work in for three years but could go anywhere else if I wanted to.

I'm in a stalemate and struggling with what to do next. I've always known that I've wanted to help people with disabilities, especially those with autism or developmental delays, and because of the predicament I'm in and no matter what I do...it's never enough and I'm not fond of how I'm being treated and made to do something that's out of my comfort zone and control. In the meantime, as I've been getting help that I needed for my mental/emotional health (as well as physical therapy as I've injured myself again), I wanted to get back to something that brings me joy, and though it's been a very, VERY long time, I wanted to come back and write again.

Please be patient as I do my best to finish the stories that I've started or when I start new ones. I hope to finish the stories that I've been working on for years to move on to new ones. Thank you SO much for your patience and enjoy your Thanksgiving holiday if you celebrate it now or if you already have celebrated it, and happy reading~~Tessa Anne

Jacob Black

When he started phasing, Jacob Black wanted nothing more than to be normal again. He wished for anything else just to be normal again. Never in his wildest dreams would he find his imprint in the child of the girl he was once in love with. And yet... that's exactly what he did.

Renesmee Cullen, or Nessie as Jacob named her when she was a baby, became his whole world mere hours after she was born. As she started to age quicker than a typical human would, Jacob's view of her changed over time. He first saw himself as her protector, then as a big brother and friend. By the time she had physically and mentally became a teenager, Jacob started to see her in a different light.

It took a couple more years before they became anything more, and what didn't help was that he was once in love with her mother and would constantly fight with her father over her mother's humanity. When Nessie learned the truth about Jacob and her parents, she ran away from home for a few months.

He was heartbroken for a long time and kept wanting to go find her. One day, he was able to find her, and at the time, he found her living in the Amazon with the Amazonian coven and the other dhampir that was alive like her: Nahuel. Jacob truly thought he had lost her for good, but when she came back to him and confessed her love for him, they had been together ever since.

Though as the years went on, Jacob and Nessie haven't aged much when they got married. They've been married for a few years when they started to have children, and as a result, they recently had their fifth child.

William Edward, named after both of their fathers, was their firstborn, followed by his twin sister Arabella, who was named after both of their mothers. Though they are actually the age of seven, they were physically and mentally the age of teenagers. Both of them had dark curls in their hair like their mother, but dark eyes and russet-toned skin like their father.

After the twins, they then had another son named Jace who looked like a ten-year-old but actually wasn't ten who looked a lot like his mother and maternal grandfather in some ways with his paternal grandmother's eyes. Followed by another daughter named Willow who looked similar to Jace, yet looked like she was eight years old, and finally their most recent little baby girl named Charlotte after Nessie's maternal grandfather Charlie Swan, whom sadly had passed away a few months ago from stage IV lung cancer.

Charlotte still looks like a baby as Jacob held her in his arms, with her dark black hair and brown eyes like her mother and grandfather. Because of their ability to not age, Jacob and Nessie were posing as college students over at Darthmouth, as Nessie's parents were living in Vancouver for a way, to keep suspicions away. They were staying with Nessie's grandparents, Carlisle and Esme Cullen, which helped them greatly with the children that looked old enough to be their siblings or cousins.

Jace and Willow were playing a card game together alongside their grandfather, as they tried to teach him the rules of UNO. Then again, who would've ever expected a 300+ year old man to know what UNO was.

Arabella was helping Esme in the kitchen make dinner, while William sat on the window seat, reading a book that Jasper gave him for one of his birthdays. Nessie was getting ready to go to class, and as she walked into the room, Jacob smiled at the woman who was his soulmate, wife, and mother of his children. She was beautiful with her dark brown curls that was pulled back in a ponytail, as she moved towards him and held her hands out for their daughter.

He happily obliged and gave her Charlotte, but not before kissing his wife. His older children groaned, while his younger daughter just laughed and giggled. Suddenly, he heard his phone go off, and he went to pick it up. On the caller ID, it said "Sue", and looking back at his wife, he excused himself out to the balcony and closed the door. "Hey Sue, what's up?"

"Jacob...I wasn't sure if I would get a hold of you."

"It's fine, I'm at home with the family. What's wrong?"

Sighing, she answered him with the one thing he'd never wanted to hear for a long time. "It's time..."

Quil Ateara

As he tinkered with his car in the garage, Quil Ateara rolled from under his car to sit up and wipe his forehead. He loved collecting old cars like he used to with his friends and kept doing the hobby while working as a mechanic and running his own shop for the past couple of years. It was an easy decision for him to leave La Push and come to Neah Bay. And why...well, that was because of his imprint, Claire Young.

When he met her years ago, she was just a toddler who happened to be Emily's niece and was over for a visit one day. It was strange at the time for someone to imprint on a child, and yet he was not the only one to do so as his best friend Jacob also imprinted on a child. However, she was a baby back then.

Claire was Quil's whole world, and for years until she was eighteen has always been his friend and someone he wanted to protect from harm's way and heartbreaks. By the time she was eighteen and decided to go to college, Quil realized that he was falling in love with her, but he let her go. She went to a college in California, and they managed to keep in touch regardless. Yet, after her first year of college went by and she decided that she wanted to join the Peace Corp and travel to India, he couldn't let her go.

Confessing that he loved her was the hardest thing for him to do, but he didn't realize that Claire also loved him too. She wanted nothing more than to tell him but didn't know how long it would be until they had gotten together. Luckily, she had already known what imprinting was when she was a kid, as he had told her the truth. In the long run, it helped for them to be honest with one another.

Today, they've been married for at least a year and a half, and though Claire did join the Peace Corp, Quil joined her. They were in India for two years before coming back to the US, and they got engaged upon their return. Claire was now working at the Reservation Center, helping to preserve the Makah and Quileute history through artifacts and folklore, and even gave lessons to children in grade school and middle school.

He heard the door opened in the garage from the kitchen, as she came out carrying their seven-month-old son, Quil VI. It was unexpected when they got pregnant, but it was a joyful time. "Hey, looks like the little guy wants his Daddy." She laughed, as she carried their baby who was covered in spit up and drool.

Wiping his hands on his rag, he got up and took his son in his arms. He kissed his little boy's curly head, then kissed his wife. "Have I told you how beautiful you look today?"

"At least once or twice, but who's counting."

He laughed, then noticed a car pulling into the driveway. Soon, his mother Joy Ateara stepped out and walked towards him. "Hey Mom, is everything okay?"

It's been a couple of years since his grandfather Old Quil III passed away of old age, and as he was there when Quil's own father passed away from cancer when he was only seven, it was just him and his mom as the last members of the Ateara family. Well, asides from Quil's wife Clare and their son Quil VI.

She gave him a soft smile, but it didn't reach her eyes like it normally would. She reached for her grandson and held him in her arms. "Mom, what's wrong?"

She sighed and said, "I need you to come with me to the hospital..."

Next time...you will see get to see some more of our werewolves and how they're doing, but you will also see something you never expected to happen during this story. Stay tuned!

Also, please check on my profile page where you can vote what next story I should do when I finish this one or when you would like to see it sooner. You can pick up to three choices, or if none of them are on there, send me a PM and let me know of your thoughts. Thanks, Tessa Anne
