Inuyasha whistled an old tune as he walked into the HMV store. Looking over to the desk, he saw that Miroku wasn't working today. He shrugged, thinking it wouldn't make a difference. However, when he looked again, the girl standing there gave him the brightest smile. "Welcome - may I help you?" The teen could only gape at the girl as her smile faded. "Um, sir?" Inuyasha blinked and shook his head.

"Uh...no. Well, actually - yes. I want to buy a CD." The girl laughed.

"I think everyone who comes in here does." She smiled her wonderful smile again. After picking one out, Inuyasha hesitated as she handed him the CD. Should he ask her out? He doesn't even know her name!

"Thanks, bye." He muttered before running out the store. This went on for a while. Until his mother, Izayoi decided to help him clear things up.

"Look, if you don't do anything, what do you think is going to happen? That she's just going to magically know that you like her?"

"Hopefully," Inuyasha grumbled. "I'm...too embarrassed Mom!" His mother only shook her head and left the room.

The next day, the silver-haired boy did the same thing. Asking her for a CD, paying for it, and she would give it to him after giving him his change. But this time, she dropped a coin onto the floor - giving Inuyasha a chance to slip her his phone number before saying, "Keep the change!" And running off.

A few days later, the phone rang at the Taisho residence. "Hello?" Izayoi said quietly as she answered the phone.

"Hi, I'm Kagome - the girl from the HMV store? May I please speak to Inuyasha?" The older woman let out a sob as she realized who this girl was. This was the girl Inuyasha was socrazy about.

"Well, I'm guessing you haven't heard. Inuyasha passed away not long ago." Izayoi said as she let out a sigh. There was nothing but silence on the other line for about five minutes.

"H-how?"

"A thief took his life." After a long conversation with Kagome, Izayoi opened the door to her son's room, whimpering as it held so many memories. Not knowing exactly what to do, she thought she would clear out his things. Opening the closet, she was stunned to find that the closet was filled with stacks of CDs, Taking one out, she ran her fingers over the smooth plastic and opened it. Inside was a letter, "Hi. I think you're really cute, wanna go out sometime? Love, Kagome." Letting out another sob, Izayoi grabbed another one, and read the message inside. "Hi. I think you're really cute, wanna go out sometime? Love, Kagome." Not believing her son's fate, she opened another one.

And another, "Hi. I think you're really cute, wanna go out sometime? Love, Kagome."

Izayoi fell to her knees and cried. Her son was always the unlucky one of the family.
