AN: So, I'd like to get this out of the way now. This is a Multi Crossover so there will be other planets that houses life, but I'll only be including two more. None of which are anime.
Chapter 7
The extranet was going completely wild with the announcement of a new species. Their appearance made people very skeptical, and some even thought it to be some kind of joke. Then the video came out, and chaos ensued. People were demanding answers, making up theories, and wanted more information about these ninshu. Especially the one who had slaughtered those mercenaries, and batarian extremists who were now considered terrorists. That kind of fighting style, power, speed, and whatever that Gale Decapitation was; they wanted to know everything.
The decision to give one on one interviews for the three ambassadors went well considering how calm the three had been. They knew what to say, what not to say, when to pass on questions, and when to push back. A big thing they had to make clear was that they weren't related to humanity despite their appearance. After all, humans couldn't breath fire or walk on walls with their bare feet.
They had no doubt that jealousy, and fear would run rampant. People would kill to have abilities like theirs, and they had no doubt that there were those who would try.
At the moment however, they were back on the Normandy with Naruto carrying a lot of souvenirs with him. Store owners were less reluctant to sell him anything, and more fearful of what would happen if they mistakenly call him human. Thankfully Mabui's presence calmed them down.
"That's a lot of stuff."
"I did promise to bring back souvenirs for everyone so of course it's going to be a lot of stuff." Naruto said. "I have to admit that I was impressed by the structure of the Citadel."
"I was to the first time I saw it, but I have to know something." Shepard said. "What do you plan to do now?"
"I have a few plans of my own, but first I have to ask you if you plan on doing after Un'ra T'varus, and her crew." He said. "Also it was Attican Beta, the guy was so scared of me that he said nebula instead of beta."
"Of course I plan on going after them, that attack was the closest anyone has ever gotten to killing the council." Shepard said. "We know where their hideout is, so now we're going to go end the threat before anyone else dies."
"Good, then I'm going with you." He said much to her surprise. "They could become a threat to my people in the future if left alone, and I'd rather get a large threat out of the way now rather than later."
"What about returning home?"
"It can wait for a little while, besides I'm sure they'll understand my reason for not coming back right away."
Letting an ambassador come one dangerous mission with her probably wasn't the best idea, and frankly she should make him go home for his own safety. On the other hand Naruto has proven to be a capable, and deadly fighter. Having him would make things easier not to mention he had a legitimate reason for wanting to assist them. It would also be a good chance for Naruto to see more of the Milky Way. He could get some perspective of what was out there.
"It'll be nice having you on the ship longer." Shepard said.
"I'll be happy to stay longer." He staid. "Plus I want to learn more."
This was true as gaining knowledge, and experiencing things would help him quite a bit. Learning how to interact with aliens would help him learn social structures, multiple ways they think, and the diversity. Learning safe reactions to use would definitely be worth it.
2 Days Later – Space – Attican Beta – Uncharted Planet – Mercenary Base
Shepard figured that the mercenaries would be well stocked, but this was completely ridiculous. They had military gear that bore various symbols known across the galaxy. Either stolen or illegally bought it didn't matter right now. They had enough firepower to take over a moderately sized colony. This was a lot more than she expected. Hell it was more than any of them expected.
"That's a lot of stuff, I don't think a conventional assault will do the job this time Shepard." Garrus said.
"Well, we're down here already so we have to think of something." Shepard said. "Naruto, how many do you sense inside?"
The blonde closed his eyes, and reached out via his sensor skills. He could sense exactly how many there were inside. Judging by his frown, Shepard could only guess how bad this was.
"1,550 in total." Naruto said. "She's got an army in there." – "That's way more than what that guy told us, but it's possible that these are new recruits or more terrorists, or both."
"Those numbers and that much firepower requires more than what we have, the Normandy could take down the airborne targets, but the ground troops have those turrets."
"I have an solution to the ground troops along with those turrets, but it involves you both running like hell." Naruto said.
"Does this solution involve massive destruction?" Garrus asked.
"If it does then I'm heavily leaning toward allowing it, but what is it?" Shepard asked.
"It's best you not know immediately, and just start running." He said with a smirk. "Trust me it's going to be super effective."
Shepard took a deep breath, and then let out a sigh. To be honest she really wanted to see what Naruto wanted to do, but at the same time she was a bit fearful. The problem was she didn't want to get caught in the shockwave of whatever the blonde planned on doing. Even so she wasn't willing to take the chances with over a thousand enemies.
"Garrus let's go." She stood up, and ushered for him to follow her. "Naruto can you wait a bit before doing what plan on doing?"
"Of course."
With that said the two ran off away from the enemy base, and their comrade.
After 10 minutes, Naruto stood up with his gaze on his large target, it was well defended for sure, but he planned on making them all disappear in an instant. It was time to use the Uzumaki Clans kekki genkai brought about by the introduction of quintessence.
Naruto's eyes became completely black with a single white dot in either eye. Occasionally tiny flashing lights would appear before disappearing like stars in sky.
Uchūgan the Eyes of the Universe. It was a fancy name for a feared kekki genkai with abilities similar to the sharingan, rinnegan, and byakugan. The Uchūgan had the three stages, and the distinct ability to store things in the user's personal pocket dimension that grew with each stage. Weapons, food, supplies, and jutsu were stored in a state of complete stasis.
It had other abilities that were rare in the Uzumaki Clan. Dangerous abilities, some so dangerous that they were expressly forbidden for usage under any circumstances. At least that stayed true until things got desperate, and everyone was in danger.
Naruto aimed forward with both hands, and a small black void appeared.
"Omega Tailed Beast Bomb!"
What came out was beyond massive, and dwarfed modern weapons by a long shot. A large black orb ten times the size of the Normandy. It's speed alone tore through the ground with the heat turning it into molten rock in seconds. Those in the base had no time to evacuate when it hit without warning, and no shield would save them.
Using Hiraishin Naruto teleported to Shepard via the seal he had placed on her.
"Naruto?!"
The blonde said nothing as he made six hand signs.
"Uzumaki Style: Ten Layered Sealed Space Jutsu!"
Slamming his hand on the ground, he spread his chakra around them, it took the form of a see through blue sphere that floated in the air. This was a barrier jutsu one of his clan members had invented.
Before Shepard or Garrus could say anything an explosion was heard, and then chaos consumed everything. Anything and everything minus the sphere, and the trio inside were completely annihilated. The base was the first to go along with everyone inside.
When it was done it took a few minutes for the dust to clear, but when it did they were greeted to the sight of a massive crater, and destruction that went on for miles. The Normandy crew had seen it as well.
Naruto had never actually used this jutsu before, he stored it as an experiment so the destruction was a surprise to him. Unknown to him the entire continent was now a desolate wasteland. This was the power of a tailed beast bomb infused with quintessence, and a little bit of the chakra from the other Jinchūriki.
'Kinda wish I saved it.' He silently lamed. 'Well what's done is done.'
"Nobody could've survived that." Garrus said.
The woman was completely silent as she thought about what she'd just witnessed, about what she had allowed. This was mass destruction on another scale. One man had done this in a single instant, he probably didn't break a sweat doing it either. The power of Naruto Uzumaki was completely insane; he truly is an exception among exceptions.
3 Hours Later – Normandy
Tali hadn't exactly thought to ask Naruto if the ninshu had developed AI or at least VI since they didn't seem like they'd need them. They seemed to have more common sense than the other races did, but were clever enough to get what they wanted then get out. They had technology that those in the Milky Way couldn't create which was actually kind of scary. Their medical technology was amazing as well, her new suit, and upgraded cybernetics were amazing. Even so there was always a chance.
"Um, Naruto." Tali said gaining the blonde's attention. "Can we talk?"
"Of course, I enjoy spending time with you." He said. "What can I do for you?"
"Well I've been wondering if the ninshu have developed AI technology." She said.
"You're asking because of the geth?"
"Yes, and no." Tali said. "I just got the impression that your people wouldn't need AI technology."
"You overestimate the ninshu, we aren't perfect nor are we above developing certain technologies to make things easier for us." Naruto explained. "We can be crueler than any other race if pushed to it, and we rarely feel bad about it if we can justify it." – "So to answer your question, we do have AI although only a few."
"A yes or no would've sufficed." She deadpanned.
"I know, but I really like talking." Naruto smirked. "The geth really ruined things, well I guess it was the…never mind."
"The quarians ruined things by creating the geth in the first place then losing control of them, we fucked up as the humans say."
"That generation fucked up not your generation, you shouldn't have to pay for their carelessness, and it's ridiculous that the rest of the galaxy can't seem to understand that." Naruto said. "The extranet is full of horrible things including some psycho who thinks your people should pay through extinction, seriously what's wrong with people?!"
"It's not fair, but it's a reality we have to live with."
"Well it's a shitty reality." He said. "Your people don't have any planets to colonize?"
"Unfortunately no we don't, we have the migrant fleet that's it, nobody is on our side." She sighed. "If we still had an embassy on the Citadel then maybe…"
"Embassy, that reminds me, Earth is sending an ambassador to my home planet in 7 days." He said. "They'll likely get their own embassy there if things go well, perhaps the quarians should send one of their own; it's worth a try."
"Do you think that anything good will come of it?" she asked.
"I don't know, but I hope so." The blonde said. "If you make the call then I'll do the same, take a chance since you've got nothing to lose, but everything to gain."
He was right, but there was a sense of hesitation, and doubt that was prominent in Tali's mind. If the ninshu leaders decided that they weren't worth the risk then news might spread, and things might get worse for her people. If the ninshu decided to help them then maybe just maybe things would get better for them. They would have to try or stay stuck in their current ways which couldn't last forever. It was up to her, and she prayed that her choice wasn't wrong.
7 Days Later – Ninshu Homeworld – Kouseigakura
Kids were being taught about the Milky Way Galaxy, the many races that lived in said galaxy, and the history that had been attained. This history made the ninshu a bit more cautious specifically the rachnai war, the krogan rebellions, and the genophage that ended said rebellions. If someone was willing to use a biological weapon like that on an entire race then it showed just how far they were willing to go, and the krogan rebellions weren't any better. An unjustified war that led to billions of deaths, and a weapon that was killing them.
"I feel no pity." Hinata said. "Launching asteroids onto inhabited planets, and causing galactic wide chaos because one guy decided to be an ass isn't rational." – "They started a war then got punished, it's simple, and the salarians uplifted them without any regard for how to deal with them later."
"That's why limited contact is preferred especially with the reports Naruto has been sending." Shikamaru said. "Even so, there are people who want to colonize other worlds, it's why the exploration ship left when it did; they were preparing for a expedition."
"But not to the Milky Way, farther into Dark Space." Hinata frowned. "I know dad wouldn't suggest such a thing so early, not without a good reason so it must've been an executive decision made by the Kage, and the other leaders."
The two were silent as they looked to the sky where they could see the satellite being launched into space. It was being guided by an A.I that would land it on the moon, and then activate it's camouflage mechanism so no alien ships could detect it or hack into it. Though neither of them could say it out loud, they knew that something had been found.
A signal coming deeper into Dark Space, it wasn't to far away according to their scientists. It would take them at least a week to get there maybe more if they encountered any problems. The exploration ship would drop a sort of bread crumb trail to follow if they needed assistance.
"People in the Milky Way really like prothean artifacts right?" Hinata asked. "The ones who came before them were called protheans, right?"
"Yeah a supposedly hyper advanced civilization that disappeared thousands of years ago." He answered. "I know what you're getting at, and that artifact we have stored is most likely a prothean artifact." – "Useless to us, but probably worth a lot in the Milky Way considering the fact that it still works."
"There literally wasn't anything useful to us inside, but we can get in trouble for having it since there's apparently some kind of law in place where we have to turn it over to the council so they can research it, and share it." She said. "Well we're not exactly in the Milky Way so it's fine for us to say nothing, especially since they'd probably horde it or hide it."
"Worse, they might try to make us seem like the bad guys." Shikamaru said. "How troublesome, it's best we keep quiet about it."
Only the Kages, clan heads, and some scientists knew about the artifact, and the data that was on it. It was all about the protheans, and how they actually became so advanced. Conquering races, stealing their technology, enslaving them, and then doing it again. Their empire was built on death, and lies. They had a lucky start, and continued on like parasites. How they suddenly disappeared was a mystery, but whoever put all of this in the artifact wanted those in the future to know the truth.
"At least we developed our own technology from scratch." Shikamaru sighed.
"Yeah let's just request that the artifact be kept a secret." Hinata responded. "The truth would only hurt a lot of people."
Prothean artifacts would only cause trouble so it should stay hidden for now.
Unknown Cluster – Unknown Planet
Lavin knew he was screwed so bad that not even the Maker could help him. The artifact had seemed harmless, and he hadn't thought that studying it could be dangerous since it wasn't magic. He was wrong, so very wrong. The thing had turned completely green before letting out some kind of energy pulse that had knocked him back. It was only upon waking did he see that the artifact had gone back to normal, but there were now many markings on it.
People had seen said pulse, and had come to investigate. Specifically the templars who were currently trying to find said artifact. Luckily he had copied the markings before hiding it, and running. He had burned away any trace of him being there, and made sure that nobody could find the artifact or the structure he had found it in. So now he was running away as fast as he could.
"Can't go back to the city so where?" he asked not expecting a response. "Maybe the rouge mages—no they'd kill me."
He was beginning to panic. This whole situation was complete shit. Thedas was in chaos because of that hole that had been in the sky, the mage rebellion, the templars going crazy, and the inquisition forming. The world was going insane, and he was contributing to it. Then the sound of a beastial roar suddenly echoed through the forest, but Lavin didn't stop running; a smart decision on his part.
The group of templars were now staring at a creature covered in dark purple armor that protruded upward yet backwards. It's eyes were blood red as were it's jaws. It had a single row of sharp teeth that was made for tearing through flesh. It stood on all four, and towered over them.
"A—Attack!" The captain exclaimed.
As if understanding the word, the creature lunged forward first, taking them by surprise while tearing off the entire top half of the captain. It was faster than anything they'd seen before, and showed no mercy. Their weapons broke on impact with the creatures armor, such crude metal wouldn't be able to scratch the creatures armor. Despite this they kept trying, but their attempts were pointless. Their failure would grow larger, and it would kill more without any hesitation.
Ninshu Homeworld – Kouseigakura – Kage Tower
A signal from further inside Dark Space, but it wasn't one of theirs or any that they'd seen so far. This was new which made them rather cautious. According to their specialists it was similar to that of a distress signal, a very desperate distress signal. Investigation was required, but they'd have to give to ok after this.
"Thank you for having us." the human woman said.
Three ambassadors had come to their planet as an attempt to start some kind of positive relationship, and learn more about their people. Three in the village was a reasonable number considering recent events. They'd been informed of the rules while they'd been in orbit, signed a written contract, and gone through a few hoops including deep decontamination before they could set foot in the village. The latter included their ships.
"We are truly honored that you would allow us in."
This woman, Okita Koneko was of Japanese origin, and an experienced expert when it came to forging human alien relationships. She was perfect for this, but on the inside she was fearful. Koneko had seen the video as well, and was aware that if they wanted her dead then there would be no stopping them. Thankfully they hadn't threatened her openly or subtly. They were aware of her position, and wanted to keep things peaceful like she did.
"Well, you are ambassadors, and we want to make sure that the limited contact part is understood." Kakashi said. "Your being here is to show that we mean that, not to mention humanity requested this." – "The only race to request this while the others sit back to wait until this goes to hell."
"Personally I'm hoping that this all goes well." Mei said.
"As do we."
With that said they dismissed the woman. Now it was just the five of them.
"That signal, we should investigate it before anyone else finds out." Darui said. "We have another exploration ship to spare, and we can send it with ease."
"Not very big, but its perfect for recon, and finding planets for colonization." Mei said. "In this case recon is all we need, and no interference unless it's deemed necessary."
They didn't have ships to spare for backup at the moment so this would be a delicate mission. It would take little while to find a proper crew, but they had a good idea as to who they could trust to lead it. It was a good thing he was itching to go back into space.
3 Days Later – Milky Way – Earth – Systems Alliance Headquarters
Shepard now stood in front her superiors, the committee who were very interested in her connection to the ninshu, and the one who seemed to favor her. The Normandy was docked, and certain people were being interviewed. Yet she got special attention.
"Ambassador Mei Koneko says that three quarian ambassadors showed up 7 hours after them, the quarian on your crew contacted them; were you aware of this?" an older woman asked.
"Yes I was aware that Tali contacted them when Naruto told her that the quarians should take a chance, and send their own ambassadors." Shepard said. "Is that problematic?"
"Humanity has no prior or current hostility with the quarians so it's not exactly problematic." She said. "What are your personal thoughts on Naruto Uzumaki?" – "How dangerous do you think he is?"
"He's complicated, it's easy enough to read him most of the time since he wears his heart on his sleeve, but there times when his emotions are completely unreadable." She said. "Personality wise he is honorable, overly kind at times, emotional, protective of his comrades, adaptable, and ambitious."
"Interesting, but how dangerous is he?" she asked once more.
Shepard took a breath, so far she knew only a fraction of what Naruto was capable of and what he'd be willing to do in a fight.
"Realistically I'd call him a threat to a continent, but that's only based on recent experiences with him in battle." She said. "I've seen how destructive he can be, but he's an exception among exceptions with very few equals." – "Aside from that he's mostly…somewhat harmless."
"Somewhat?"
"He sometimes forgets that most species aren't exactly durable like his own, aside from the Krogan he can put his fist through someone with little effort." She said. 'I can understand wanting to know how dangerous he is, but something is off about this meeting.'
Little did she know she and her crew would be going back to the ninshu homeworld very soon. Saren had been spotted, and the threat of war would become a reality if they failed.
Chapter 7 End
