chapter one

Buffy Summers walked the path to Spikes room. It was dark and everything in place, just one thing missing, Spike. She layed down on his bed, and breathed in his scent. a vcampires scent shouldn't be so sweet. She closed her eyes and pictured him in her head, before falling fast asleep.

"So I take it, your missing me?" A familar voice spoke up out of the darkness.

Buffy opened her eyes, and looked up.

"Spike?..."

The voice sighed and walked towards the light of the room."In the flesh..well not really" He smiled.

Tears streamed down her eyes, she stood up and walked over to him.

"H..how do I know your not just a demon"

He put his arm around her and pulled her to him."You don't" Pulling her into his embrace.

Standing there, she thought...she thought he could be any body, fake, illusion, anything...but seeing him she didnt care. Not being the chosen slayer anymore, left her to be free and be normal, if you call loving a vampire who calls himself the 'Big Bad' normal. Free to actually live out her life, and not having to worring about the world before herself. Just being with the people she loves the most.

Spike pulled away, and looked her int he eyes. "I have to go now"

Buffy shook ehr head, with tears, pouring like rain. "Go...?"

He smiled. "Seeing you cry for me, shows me that you care, but I only came back to tell you goodbye, and that I love you,Buffy"He began to walk away...Laughing a bit. "Funny, that big on the end, granted me better, Im not hell. So you can be sure I will always be with you" Saying thoughs last words and he was gone.

Buffy then woke up, looking into the same darkness, where he had just vanished. Dry tears on her cheeks. She got up and walked away.

"Good bye,William"
