The Founding Four
Disclaimer: Oh how I would love to actually own the world of Harry Potter. Alas, I do not. The fabulous J.K. Rowling does. Anything that you don't recognize from canon I was inventive enough to create.
Prologue
The first few weeks of a first-year's life are chaotic, stimulating, and exhausting. It makes sense, then, that a one could find a few of these students in the library of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Here, students have a treasure trove of knowledge they can plunder.
It stands to reason that a library would be filled not only with books of the academic sort, but also of the 'pleasure' sort. Of course, every person has his own idea exactly what pleasure is, so one could still find students reading books on potions, house-elves, and history without that student actually having to be studying.
On a Saturday a few weeks after September the first, one studious student in particular catches the eye. She is sitting in a far-off corner of the library, so engrossed in a book that she does not notice that the library is getting ready to close. Her nose is deep in a book, and it is only when she stands up to check it out that we see what it is that she finds so fascinating. Expecting to see a novel based on heroics, the librarian looks at the girl, surprised. It is Hogwarts, A History. Surely this book couldn't be as interesting as the girl is making it out to be. But truly, she is enraptured.
As she leaves the library, she hugs the book tight to her body, as if she believes someone will come and steal it away from her if she doesn't. Fortunately for her, the student population is not quite as enthralled as she with the history of an ancient school.
That night, she sits in her bed long after it's become dark. She falls asleep on a page that we can barely see..
The Founders, as they were called, ……trouble was eminent, and thus Hogwarts……

Please review, I know that this is an incredibly short start, but I plan to make subsequent chapters longer.
