First Oban: Star-Racers slash!

----------------------------

They had been working together for six months when it started. It started with a hug. A simple hug. Nothing special behind it. Just comfort between friends when one of them was kicked off the team because of funding cuts. A week later, the other quit. His excuse? "If we can't work together as a team, I can't do my best." Sure. Nothing at all with the fact that he liked the hug more than he thought he should have.

They looked for a new job together. They found one pretty fast. Star-racing was becoming big and they had the skills needed to help. A week after they got it, they kissed. Both were scared of the happy feeling in the pit of their stomaches. They ignored each other for nine days. After that, their boss fired them. He said, "Your performances have gone downhill.". They both felt guilty about making the other lose his job. The kiss was ignored.

It didn't take long for a third job to find itself open. An old man had designed a new style of star-racer and needed people to work on them. During their work, one of them fell off the craft. The other caught him, but his computer fell off his neck and crashed on the ground. When he was pulled up, the mechanic aploigized. The other one said the only repayment he needed was forgiviness for his next move. After he finished talking, he kissed him.
The next day, Stan returned Koji's kiss.

It took almost a year and a half for Aero One and Aero Two to be finished. A week after they were, Don Wei came to them, asking for the star-racers and to have Stan and Koji be his mechanics. The old man agreed and the couple had a new boss. Once they got Don Wei alone, they explained their relationship to him. He said, "I'm fine with it, but keep the displays of affection private." They understood. They didn't mind.

"Stan! Get down here! We're fixing the engine, not the rooms!" Koji yelled. Stan came running down the stairs. He looked around and once he saw no one was there, gave his boyfriend a kiss on the cheek.

"Happy anniversary." Stan whispered.

Koji blushed. "Of what? I thought it was still three weeks until our anniversary."

Stan smirked. "Oh no, it is three weeks until the anniversary of us being boyfriends. But two years ago today, we first met."

"It's been two years already?" Koji sighed. "Seems like it's been much shorter."

"Well," Stan said, "Time flies when you're having fun!"

Koji laughed. "Let's get to work. Rick will have our heads if we don't finish the repairs in time for Molly's training session."

"Yeah, lets." Stan picked up a wrench, but Koji snatched it from him.

"But first," He raised the wrench into the air, "To another two years!"

Stan smiled. "Another two great years."

And the mechanics got to work, working and loving side-by-side. Like it should be.
