The hike was Anna's idea, not his, but it was a lovely day for one. The trees were just about at their peak colors, the air was clear, and it wasn't too cold.
It had been too hot and dry during the summer, and before that too wet and soggy in the spring, so it really was nice to get out today, before the snow started making hiking difficult.
Now, if he could just find out where Anna had gone.
"Kristoff?"
"Anna?"
"I thought I was lost. How far have we gone?"
"We're about a half mile from your house."
