The man they thought they knew
Chapter 1
What was keeping Nathan Scott? He was late for basket ball, this wasn't like him. He was never late for anything. Not once. His brother Lucas was always at practice on time and Nathan was always there with him. But not this time, Nathan was a no-show. Half way though practice Lucas was wondering what was taking Nathan so long to get to school, since he and Nathan always showed up together, Lucas decided to go looking for him. As he was walking outside he bumped into Brooke and said:
Lucas: Brooke! Brooke have you seen Nathan?
Brooke: No! I haven't I'm looking for him as well, he's not with you?
Lucas: Nope he's not I mean we normally walk to practice together but he was a no-show this time. I though maybe he would be with you? Are you sure you haven't seen him?
Brooke: A no-show? Lucas what if something happened to him? Haley is going to be so upset and she will want to know what happened to him. Luke what if…
Lucas: Hey listen to me ok, I'll make sure nothing happens to him, I'm going to look for him right now. You just stay here and make sure Haley doesn't find out anything okay. It's going to be okay.
Lucas then left the school grounds and went to look for his brother, he looked everywhere from his apartment, to his parents beach house, to the house he grew up in when he was younger. Nothing. No Nathan. Lucas got scared he called Brooke and told her Nate was no where to be found. He told her that he was going to keep looking for him no matter what it took. He kept looking for him, he looked for Nathan until it was dark out and he couldn't see anything. So he went home, when walked in the house he saw his mom's face she was worried about her son she said:
Karen: Where have you been all day? I got a call from the school saying you skipped. Where have you been Lucas Scott?
Lucas: Mom, I can't… I can't tell you, if I do you'll just even more upset and I don't want you to worry okay. I'm fine.
