A/N last chapters reviews had me smiling like crazy. So glad you all enjoyed the fluff. Are you ready for some chaos now?

June

The summer heat has fully settled in. She can feel it as she sets up for a family dinner later this evening. The terrace has done a complete 360 compared to just a month ago. Bernie has been over each weekend to help plant a few flowers and herbs. The pots were full of greenery that she reassured Olivia she wouldn't be able to kill when she wasn't around. They donated the tiny table they once had and exchanged it for one that fit them all and then some. New lights strung from each side and the playhouse sat in the corner.

It was all coming together.

Olivia and Ophelia had moved in just a week ago. Although Elliot's place had begun to feel like home months ago, but it really was becoming home. All of their things moved in and a few pieces of her furniture integrated into the apartment. They skipped the idea of bunk beds and moved in Ophelia's twin bed. Their room was a work in progress, both of them agreeing that a butterfly theme would be perfect. Olivia has already spent way too much to make their room exactly how they wanted it.

Elliot has given her free reign of their bedroom. There isn't much she thinks she wants to change, at least for now. The masculine energy that radiates through with the dark interior and touches of gold are probably her favorite parts. She fell in love with this place because of what he did with it. She didn't want to take much away from that.

And now, she eyes her work, proud of the place settings she had put together from a Pinterest post she found. She wanted to go through all the stops today, he deserved it.

Today was Father's Day.

Every single day since the moment she's met him, Elliot has made sure to make her feel like the only woman in this world. Today, she just wants him to feel how much she loves him just as much.

So she called Bernie to come over today and help cook a family dinner. They hadn't all gotten together like this since Mother's Day, and she's making sure to make up for that. Ophelia would be home from David's just in time to end the special day with another important man in her life. Katie and Elliot were on a much needed daddy and daughter date at the museum.

"Add a little more dear," Bernie said with her back turned to Olivia. She was helping season the vegetables while Bernie tended to the steaks she planned on grilling outside.

"How on earth can you tell if you're not looking?" Olivia turned with a hand on her hip and tongs in her other hand.

"I can hear," she says as if it's the most obvious answer. "More of everything and then they'll be ready," she requested and waved her hand off. It sure was something cooking with her future mother in law. It made Olivia chuckle to herself and she got back to work. Never in a million years did she think she would be standing in the middle of her boyfriend's kitchen in an apron with his mother, cooking one of his favorite dinners.

"I don't know if I will ever be good enough at this for him," she shook her head realizing her cooking skills were sub par compared to hers.

"Whatever you lack in the kitchen I'm sure you make up for in bed," the comment makes her nearly choke. "Sorry, I forget my filters sometimes. It's the old age," she says with humor over her shoulder and Olivia can only chuckle to herself at this point.

"Jesus Bernie!"

"Well I know I haven't been watching the girls until the next day just for you two to stay up playing scrabble," she's by her side now grinning from ear to ear. Proud of her joke. It makes Olivia blush.

"Okay, I think that's enough wine for now," she shakes her head in shock and laughs along with her.

"Alright alright, I'll turn in down a notch for you," she held her hands up in surrender. "You and Elliot are good though?"

"More than good," she's grinning from ear to ear and so is Bernie. She's just as happy for them.

"Good because I've shared three recipes with you now. I better be able to call you my daughter in law soon, or I'll have to kill you," she said playfully and nudged her side.

"I don't think you'll have to worry about that."

….

The girls are down for bed and she makes sure they are both completely asleep before she leaves to find Elliot. He's already in bed reading one of her favorite books, "The Alchemist,". He wanted to understand the hype of it all and why she loved it so much. She hadn't asked him to do it, she just remembered coming to bed one night and he had taken it out of her nightstand.

"The girls are asleep," she shuffled over to him and climbed into bed to straddle across his lap. "I'd like to give you my last gift for today," she grabbed the book and made sure to mark the page he was on before tossing on the nightstand.

"And what would that gift be?" He says coyly and finds his fingers gripping each side of her hips. Her hands grabbed the hem of the blouse she still wore and tugged it over her head, exposing the blush push up she wore underneath. Her breasts practically spill out of the material and he almost reaches to touch but remembers to be patient.

"I think you have an idea," she reached for the hem of his shirt next and got rid of it too.

His dick is half hard and she's barely touched him. Just the thought of being inside of her alone, having her hands take control over him, made the sweats he wore grow tight. She's calculated with her movements. Her pants are quickly ridden along with his and she's moved down to straddle his lower legs.

His quads are flexed in anticipation when her hand comes up to stroke his dick. Her eyes are locked into him as she bites down on her lower lip. He's quick to rise and he's hard as stone in her hand. Her tongue dips out to lick alongside his shaft and his hips quickly lift in response.

It wasn't a regular occurrence like this- her on her knees or anywhere lower than him with his dick inside of her mouth. He never expected it from her. He respected her and it would always be on her terms when she wanted to. But when she did, Olivia let him fall into it. Thrust his hips into her mouth until he disappeared into her throat, tug on her hair, release inside her mouth.

And it's a learning process for her. Learning that she has a choice, that this isn't a chore just to keep her significant other happy. Things changed with Elliot. She does this because she wants to.

"Fuck Liv," he hissed when her tongue circles the tip and guides him into her mouth. She's warm and velvet and dragging him further into her. It feels almost too good and he's scared he'll make a mess of the bedsheets and her all too soon.

He felt her vibrate when she moaned watching his face contort in response to what she was doing to him. The muscles in his abs clinch and his hands struggle as one grips into her scalp while the other finds comfort in the sheets.

Her right hand follows the path of her mouth as her head bobs gently. Taking him halfway into her mouth each time and dragging him back out against her tongue. It's torturous the way he attempts to hold on for longer than the two minutes she's kept this up. His balls are tight and her left hand holds them gently but firm enough to drive him crazy.

"Does it feel good? When I have you inside my mouth?" She rested her chin on his upper thigh to catch her breath and take a look at the agony on his face. Her hand continued to stroke him. His precome coated her hand and she spread it over his dick with each pass of her hand. "You remember the last time I had you like this?"

He can only nod in response.

"You came so fast I could barely take all of you," she reminded him how quick he was to fill her mouth with his release. "Can you do that again for me?" She purred and guided her lips back over him. His jaw drops open at her encouragement and he might prove her right and become putty in her hands all over again. Except today was his day apparently and if he was in control then he would have things another way.

"El," she gasped when he found some resemblance of strength and grabbed ahold of her shoulders to pull her off of him.

"Again. Inside you," he says simply and tosses her onto her back to plant himself between her thighs. She nodded in agreement, ready for whatever he wanted. And to be frank, she doesn't think any part of her could wait any longer to be full of him.

He stroked his own dick and lined himself with her sex, sinking ever so gently to make sure she was ready for him. She felt so wet around him, her mouth around him enough to warm her up. His hands moved to grip her wrists and slide up until their fingers intertwined with one another above her head. He sinks and disappeared slowly slowly into her until he's fucking consumed with just her. She takes all of him, the perfect fit every time. Her body is molded to him and only him.

Her mouth fell open with her eyes locked directly into his. They connect effortlessly every time he has her just like this. The minutes feel like hours and she wonders if it's ever been like this with anybody for him. It sure as hell hasn't for her.

His hips pistol into her with just enough force and her hips keep up with every thrust. He broke eye contact to look down at what exactly he did to her. She's slick between them. So much that he struggled to stay buried into her.

"Oh," she moaned when he freed one hand to hold the weight of her breast in his palm, squeezing enough to stimulate her hardened nipples. She's close and if he could get her there in the next minute he would save himself the embarrassment of coming so soon.

Her sex tightened around him, her eyebrows clashed together, and he knows to keep up his pace to keep her right there. He released her breast and applied pressure to her clit, enough to push her over the edge. It's her undoing. Her legs shake and he can barely pull out of her, she's so fucking tight. He leans quickly to cover her mouth with sloppy kisses to quiet her, terrified she would wake the girls at any moment.

His hips manage to pick back up and are relentless when he pulls back and buries himself completely into her. He is unforgiving, not letting her fully recover before he chases his own relief. Her body still shakes. Each time he filled it just spurred the after effects of her orgasm on and on. He finishes just a moment later, holding her close until he emptied completely. His body collapsed on top of hers and she welcomed the weight of him.

She hugged him close and her lips settled on his neck. The only sound in the room of them catching their breaths.

"I love you but you are crushing me," she pushes against his shoulders and he's quick to roll over. It makes her giggle and she's on her side instantly to look over at him. "So…did you have a good Father's Day?" A playful smile grows on her face. He's perfectly sated on his back and one arm propped behind his head. Looking like a man who just got his world rocked- even though he might've ended up doing most of the work.

"More than good," he tugged on her shoulder to bring her into him. She smelled amazing- like summer and sex and a hint of him. His lips find hers and he lazily kisses her until she's found herself back on top of him. Stickiness between and warm skin leaves blood rushing back to his groin.

"Mm," she moaned into his mouth when she felt him hard against her again. Her hips sink down slowly onto him and she's surprised even herself that her body could take him again so soon.

He plunges slowly up and into her heat for the second time tonight. A sigh escapes her when her hips meet his and she's full of him all over again.

Happy fucking Father's Day to him- she just might make him one again.

…..

Two weeks later…

All of June nearly passes them by but not before they celebrate her daughter's seventh birthday.

She remembers the day she gave birth to her like it was just yesterday. A part of her misses having her close by always inside her tummy, but the other part doesn't think missing out on bearing witness to the person she's becoming is worth losing. The two of them have come so far in the last few years since the divorce. It's just been Olivia and Ophelia for the last two years or so and they've taken on this world together just fine.

In the beginning she thought she looked a lot like David but as she's grown older, she's starting to see a lot more of herself in her daughter everyday. It scares her just enough but she's looking forward to seeing just how much better she turns out.

Today was a big day though. A step in what she hopes will be in the right direction. Her birthday party would be at David's this year. It was easier and he had the space to fit ten girls running around on sugar. The small backyard in the back was perfect for the bouncy house Ophelia insisted on having. It might've been a little overboard but her baby deserved it all- at David's expense of course.

She insisted on being a princess for her birthday this year, so Olivia put in overtime making sure they went through all the stops to make sure each girl felt like royalty. Plastic crowns and dress up gowns for each girl but she made sure Ophelia's had a little extra love put into it. A pink dress with a few layers and puffy sleeves that had her eyes welling when she helped her get ready this morning in her room at her fathers house.

She was growing up right before her eyes and she looked like such a big girl today. Seven years old, she was getting closer to hitting those double digits. They weren't kidding when they said time flies.

Her chocolate curls are brushed up into a ballerina bun and her sparkly crown adorns her head perfectly. Olivia let her have a little fun today with makeup and added a pink lipstick of hers along with some blush- it was a special day.

"You are the prettiest princess I ever did see," Olivia kneels to be at eye level with her. "Do you love your dress honey?"

"It's my favorite mommy. I wanna wear it everyday," she jumped and her sneakers lit up with her. Olivia always protested against light up shoes for her kids but when they've got a face that's sweeter than ever, how the hell do you say no?

"Maybe we can get you another one that's a little easier to wear when you want. Don't you want to keep this one for special occasions?" She runs her palm along her cheek and she wants to melt just looking at her. She doesn't remember being this emotional at even her first birthday.

"Yes, because it's my special dress!" She's cheerful and her hazel eyes light up.

"That is a very special dress," Elliots voice comes around suddenly and they both look to see him at the doorway with a bouquet of flowers. He's dressed up the slightest in a pair of khaki slacks and a lavender polo to match the purple dress Katie was wearing today.

"Elliot!" Ophelia runs to give him a hug, wrapping her arms around his legs and he wastes no time scooping her into his arms to embrace her. A kiss to her forehead makes her giggle.

"I got some flowers for our princess today," he handed over the pink roses that were almost too much for her to hold on her own. "Happy birthday Opie," he looks over at Olivia who's watching intently with teary eyes. His love will never be too much. Watching the way he does it, gives it, shows it, will never get old.

She's a masterpiece in her floral dress that's flowy and stops at her ankles. A bit of cleavage shows in the V shaped neckline. She wore the diamond pendant and matching earrings he got her. He tugged on his bottom lip seeing it hang from her neck. Her hair was curled but

already clipped back from running around today he's sure. It does that thing he loves, random pieces fall around her face and the clip hangs on just enough to keep her hair up.

"These are beautiful," Ophelia smells the roses and it makes them chuckle at her. She's mimicking her mother when she gets some from Elliot. "Thank you," she echoes the manners Olivias worked so hard to teach her and she's proud.

"Of course," he sets her down. "You know, Katie is already downstairs waiting on you," she squeals and is gone in an instant to go find her best friend.

"Hi," Olivia says sweetly from across the room.

"Hi to you too," he walks his way over and has his arms around her waist immediately. She smells sweet, vanilla, like sticky summer nights. His nose tucks into her neck, his lips finding reserve against her warm skin. He kissed lightly until he trails up to the corner of her lip, a grin spread across her face.

"Mr. Stabler, did you come up here just to feel me up?" She looks up at him with those long eyelashes of hers, blinking coyly.

"That and I wanted to make sure you were okay," he stole a kiss from her and pulled on her hips to bring her closer. His concern makes her melt further into him. Her collapsed against his chest, her arms wrapped beneath his shoulders.

"I'm okay," she exhaled a deep breath and squeezed him close for just a second. "Today is my baby's birthday. I get to make sure she has the best day ever; celebrate her. Then the four of us go home," she looks up so her chin rests in the middle of his chest.

"That sounds like a pretty great day to me," he brushes one of those wild pieces of hair away from her face and kisses her sweetly. "As long as you're doing okay with all of this," he waved his hand around gesturing to them being in her old house and under one roof with David and Giselle.

"It's weird being here like this, I won't lie but I know Opie wants nothing more than all of us together for her birthday," she stepped back a bit but still didn't let go of him. "And it's nice seeing her old room. I'm surprised she hasn't changed it yet," she looked around at the insane amount of pinks covering her room. The floral mural she had hand painted still covers the wall. Her heart pings remembering how excited she was decorating Ophelia's nursery for the first time. That mural meant everything to her.

"It's beautiful. You did all this?"

"I did. Except for the mural, I can barely draw a stick figure," she jested and loosened out of his hold to get closer to the decorated wall. "The moment I found out we were having a girl I spent so much time making this room our little sanctuary," the tears are coming again and she hates she's become that woman. Everything about her daughter makes her overly emotional.

"I am officially the over emotional mother who is finding anything to stop time," she feels his hands back on her then. They wrap around her waist again- their favorite spot these days. "Then Katie is seven next month," she cries a little more. He reached up to squeeze her shoulder and kissed her cheek. Her skin is salty from the few tears that have fallen. "Just ignore me. My period is coming soon," she waved off.

"No, it's kinda cute seeing you like this," he teases and she nudges him in the rib with her elbow. "Ow," he says dramatically and holds his side.

"Oh stop," she turned around with a smirk on her face. "We should get downstairs," she reached with both hands to pull his face towards her so she could plant a kiss on his lips.

Disney music plays in the background as the laughs and screams of 10 little girls fill the house. She's on her second beer that she's decided to split with Elliot. They both hung back in the kitchen just watching. Both their girls hadn't stopped smiling this entire time and it's a sight to watch. They're having a great time, truly.

It's all she wanted for today.

David has been on his best behavior. Maybe it's because of the other parents from their daughter's school being here, but she will take him not being an asshole anytime she can't get it.

"We should probably do gifts soon," she leaned back against the countertop. "You wouldn't be the one who got her that big box over?"

"Guilty," he says. "The Barbie dream house she's been begging for," she rolled her eyes at him in disbelief. They agreed on no big gifts this year. Ophelia had more than enough. "Liv, I couldn't resist getting it for her," he tried to justify his overzealous purchase but she's already over it. She's a fool for expecting him to listen.

"You're worse than the girls sometimes," she shakes her head and watches Ophelia help one of her friends make a bracelet. "I guess I can let this one slide," she's quick to forgive him. God forbid they ever have another little girl; their pockets are going to suffer.

"Olivia?" Giselle is stalking towards them with David Jr in her arms. He's a pudgy little thing with those perfect little rolls babies get. His eyes are wide and blue trying to take in everything all at once.

"Giselle hi," they've barely spoken today. Not on purpose, it's just been a busy day.

"I'm sorry to ask you this but I don't know these other parents that well. Can you hold him for just a bit? I need to use the bathroom and I can't find David," her body tensed and her eyes fought not to give way at her shock. She hasn't held this baby since the day he was born and she hadn't planned on it. He was innocent and so pure. No demons to fight, no trauma to heal from. She didn't have a problem with the baby but it was just too much. This baby gave David something she probably never would have been able to.

Happiness

And that's it so goddamn hard to even look at him.

"I um- yeah that's fine," she reaches her hands out and Elliot watches with baited breath. He's such a happy baby. Already smiling and excited to go to her. It makes her empty womb ache.

"Thank you. I'll be right back."

"You want me to take him?" Elliot offers and she nods no. Almost instinctively her knees bounce and he's smiling with a mint full of gums up at her.

"You've gotten so big little guy," she says softly and he coos at her. He looks so much like David. A little bit like Ophelia too. "I can't lie, the kid is pretty damn cute," she confesses.

"This day just keeps getting weirder," Elliot grabs one of the baby's bare feet and takes a look at the chubby little thing. He looks down at Olivia, who looks perfect with the tiny human in her arms. She's been several years out of practice but her motherly instincts kick in right away. The way she rocks him and soothes him instantly. Her aura so warm, David Jr had barely flinched going into her arms. The baby had been happy to see her. Maybe it was true- babies could read souls pretty well. Maybe he knew Olivia had saved his life.

"It does but I'm not mad at this one," she softens and her voice goes higher as she talks, looking at the baby. "I'm no- oh no I'm not," she gets a few gurgles and laughs from him.

"He likes you a lot," Giselle made her way back to them but hadn't even reached to take him from Olivia just yet. "Thank you for watching him," she just watched him in her arms with eyes that looked a little distant. The vibrant young thing had looked dull. The bags under her eyes were heavy, her smile barely reached her eyes.

"Are you doing okay Giselle? Sleeping okay?" Olivia knows that look. She had that look before when Ophelia was barely sleeping through the night. Her growth spurt kept her feeding almost every hour at one point.

"I'm-" her eyes shifted quickly over at Elliot and he got the message clearly.

"I'm going to go make sure the bounce house is good to go," Elliot excused himself and went out back.

"Giselle?" Olivia reached out to lightly touch her forearm.

"Sorry I'm just- I'm not sleeping. He won't sleep sometimes. He barely napped today. I'm just exhausted and David works all the time," her voice cracks and her eyes have that misty look in them.

"Come here," Olivia takes them back to the guest room that's hidden in the back of the house. "How about you sleep? Or rest? I don't know just- you're not missing anything right now. I'll come wake you for presents," Olivia feels bad for her, truly. She sees herself during that first year with Ophelia. David was great those first few weeks, but slowly her work load just got heavier and heavier. He was doing less, blaming work for his absence. All these years later he was doing the same to Giselle.

"I can't-"

"You can and you will," she says with David Jr still in her arms. Ironically, he's starting to nod off and she shifts him over her shoulder. "I've got the baby. You at least close your eyes for a bit," she barely misses a beat and is out of the room before she can protest.

There isn't a reason in the world she thinks she should be offering any help to Giselle. God, after the shit that's happened over the last year or so; she barely deserves the right to be in the same room. But they're both here, making the best of this somehow despite the infidelity.

"You have my son. Where's Giselle?" David came over to where she stood back in the kitchen. He didn't bother to reach for the baby at all. Just a look of confusion etched on his face as he looked around for his girlfriend.

"I made her get some rest. David she's exhausted," she rubbed soft circles against the baby's back who fell asleep long ago. He stared at her for a moment as if he was actually thinking about his words before he let them spill out.

"Is she sleeping?"

"I hope so," she carefully picks up David Jr and sets him in his fathers arms. "Spend some time with your son. Maybe think about getting some extra hands around here."

"She's a stay at home mom. What help does she need?" He says as if being a mother is the easiest goddamn job in the world.

"She's alone in this house everyday. He's barely sleeping and attached to her breast every hour or so. You ever think she needs a break?" Olivia doesn't think she would ever see this day. She thinks maybe she should check the news to see if pigs are flying yet.

"I feel like you're projecting-"

"I'm not, David," she cuts him off. "I've been married to you before, had the baby, did all that shit with you. I know what it's like having you as a partner. It sucks," she scoffed and an annoyed smile played across her face. She's not doing this with him today. It's their daughter's birthday for chrissake.

"Any excuse to throw me under the bus," he barked and got closer to her face. He's angry with her and she's getting flashbacks of one too many nights they spent arguing.

"I suggest you take your son and step away from her," Elliot had heard the last part as he stepped over to had kept their voices down to not draw attention, but he knew just by looking at her body language this conversation wasn't going well.

"Captain Elliot here to save the day huh?"

"Let's not do this today. Think about Ophelia," he says firmly but maintains his cool.

David backs off and shakes his head in disgust and walks away with the sleeping baby still in his arms. She's shaking and hadn't even realized it. Elliot's hands cover hers before he pulls her into him. He hugs her tightly for just a moment before pulling back to take a look at her, making sure she was still in one piece after that.

"I should have known things were going too well lately," she says looking up at him with wet eyes. She won't dare let them spill over.

"Hey, we're not going to let him ruin today, hm?" He's so soft with her. His hands cup both of her cheeks to lock eyes with her. "I bet the girls would love some time in the bounce house finally. You think you can jump higher than me Benson?" He tries to make things lighter and it works. She's grinning up at him, the welling tears long gone.

"I'm in a dress, Elliot. No way I'm getting in a bounce house with you," she counters but she knows that's a lie as she slips off her shoes and races him outside to the backyard.

…..

Despite the beginnings of the party, it had all ended on a high note. The day had managed to be enjoyed by everyone, even Giselle who had managed to snag an hour of sleep. Ophelia had completely lost it over the Barbie dreamhouse Elliot had gotten her, and it left David a little regretful. She had appreciated the gifts he had gotten her too, but Elliot had paid close attention to what she had been dying to get. The truth was that he was around her a lot more than him, he was beginning to know her just a little bit better.

"Can I talk to you for a minute?" David tried to catch her before they left for the night. Elliot had been packing up the car, the girls helped carry all the gifts. Giselle was attempting to put down the baby. She prayed he slept just a little bit longer for her tonight.

"David, I don't think I have anymore fight left in me," she's exhausted from entertaining ten 6 year olds all day and another argument with him was the last thing she wanted to do.

"It's not- look, I just want to apologize for earlier," he took a few steps closer. "I'm trying to be better for both of my kids. I guess I just hate hearing I'm still somehow fucking up my second chance to get this right," she's stunned to silence. His face is etched with disappointment in himself. "I'm so wrapped up in my work I really didn't notice Giselle was suffering."

"Yeah well," she thinks carefully about her next statement. David is an idiot, truly. Through the years she's concluded he is just not the empathic man she had fallen in love with anymore. Something changed in him and rotted. She blames the job, the demanding hours and harshness of the field. The money and power is addicting and it's driven him away from the man she once knew. And maybe that's enough for Giselle sometimes. Olivia refused to settle.

"I didn't mean to overstep, I just want you to get her some help before it's too late," she puts it simply. "You still have a chance to make this better," she thinks maybe a lobotomy would do her good at this point, because she never thought she'd be helping fix her ex-husband and mistresses relationship.

"Thank you," his hand reaches to squeeze her shoulder and he goes on to find Ophelia to say goodbye.

Elliot finds her in the house and looks over her from head to toe as if he's making sure she's still in one piece. "Everything okay?" she nodded and tugged on his hand to pull him into her.

"More than okay," she wrapped her arms around his torso and laid her cheek flush against his chest. He encircles his arms around her too. "David apologized for what happened earlier."

"Hell must have frozen over," his lips find her forehead and he hugs her tighter. She chuckles against him and says a prayer that things can stay peaceful for just a little while longer.

….

It's Sunday morning and she feels the repercussions of running around chasing ten kids around yesterday. Her muscles ache and she doesn't feel like she possibly could have gotten enough sleep just yet. Elliot's ploy to get her to shower with him last night didn't help much either, but that ache is always welcomed. He's for once still asleep after she's woken and it makes her chuckle to herself. She doesn't think she's seen him this exhausted even after pulling an all nighter at the precinct. He's dead to the world with his arm slung across his face, the same way that Katie tends to sleep and she wonders if one day their kid will do the same.

She slipped out of bed and found her robe thrown in the corner before heading out into the kitchen to get a fresh pot of coffee started. The girls were still asleep too and she kept her fingers crossed that maybe they would be down for at least another hour. She loved them truly but the chaos from yesterday left her needing just a little extra quiet time.

"Hello hello," the front door clicks shut and she doesn't think she even heard the key turn to unlock it. It's only seconds before the white haired woman she knows too well is shuffling into the kitchen.

"Bernie- good morning," she tied her robe a little tighter. She wasn't expecting to see her this morning or else she would look a little more put together.

"Don't mind me. I'm just here to collect my grandbabies for a surprise breakfast," she waved Olivia off and made her way down the hallway. It makes her laugh to herself. This was Bernie's world and they were just living in it.

It's moments later when she hears the excited screams coming from their room. She hears Bernie shuffling about, helping them brush their teeth and pick out a pretty outfit since they were going somewhere nice.

Elliots up next when he emerges from their bedroom in just a pair of plaid pajama bottoms. He's still groggy as he makes his way over to where she stands just nursing a coffee cup. He smiles and plants a quick kiss to her temple before managing to pour himself a cup.

"Bernie's here to take the girls out for breakfast," she moved closer to him so she could rest her head on his shoulder.

"Does it make me a bad dad if I said I'm relieved?" They both can't help but laugh with each other.

"Am I worse off if I agree?"

"This is what grandmas are for anyway, right?" He reassured her. And yes they were, she thinks. David's parents haven't once come to snag her away for even just a few hours since the divorce. They only see her when she's with her father. Any means to avoid seeing her.

"We're ready!" Ophelia and Katie come tumbling down the hallway in matching pink flamingo rompers she doesn't remember buying for them.

"Don't you two look so pretty?" Olivia makes her way over to them and kneels down to give them each a kiss. "Did grandma Bernie buy you these?" She looks up at Bernie who followed close behind them.

They nodded and unison and she can't help but playfully roll her eyes at her. She's always up to something and by something she means spoiling.

"You spoil them too much mama," Elliot chimes in and Bernie just waves him off as she goes to grab her purse from the counter.

"What's the point of having grandkids if I don't spend all my money on them?"

"I'm sure the girls thanked you for these adorable outfits," she looked over at the two who were anxiously waiting to leave and get to those pancakes.

They both nodded with bright eyes. Olivia grabbed them one by one and covered their faces in kisses. A laugh elicits from them both and they manage to get her back with kisses from them both.

"Be good for grandma," Elliot bends to kiss the top of each curly head.

"Alright girls, let's go get some pancakes," Bernie grabbed their hands and they were out the door. Suddenly the apartment is extremely quiet and she doesn't think it's been this way during the day- ever.

"And what are we going to do with no kids in the apartment?" He's got an impish grin on his face and he's stepping closer into her orbit.

"We are going to set up that Barbie dream house you bought Ophelia," his face drops and she's laughing into his chest. "You buy it, you put it together."

"Fair. And then I'll be getting my reward after," he kissed her forehead and gave her ass a smack before escaping down the hallway.

She made a mental note to get him back later.
