I Will Love You Always
"Bye David." Jumba said as he walked inside the house.
"Yeah, bye Da-a-avid." Pleakley said as he joined Jumba in the house.
"Nani, aren't you coming inside?" Lilo asked.
"In a minute Lilo." Nani said.
"But I thought you said I can't be outside by myself after dark. Why can you?" Lilo asked curiously while Stitch nodded in agreement.
"Lilo, I need to talk to David. Will you please just go inside?" Nani said.
"Fine, but I won't like it!" Lilo said as she stomped inside with Stitch on her heels.
When the door closed, Nani looked over at David and smiled.
"Thanks for helping us look for Stitch today, David." Nani said.
"Hey, no problem. I even think that I'm starting to like that little furball." David replied.
"Not just that David, it's just, you're always there when I need you the most." Nani said truthfully.
"Nani, I will always be there for you. I love you." David said. When he noticed the shocked look on Nani's face, he realized what he had said.
He blushed and stuttered out, "Um, Nani, . . . uh, . . . well, y-y-you know."
He nervously began to rub his neck and look at his feet. David opened his mouth to say something else, but was silenced by Nani's lips on his. At first, he was surprised by Nani's actions but soon recovered as they began to pour their love for each other into the kiss. Nani let her hands wrap themselves around David's neck and twist around his hair that she loved so much. David also let his hands wrap themselves around Nani's waist.
They pulled away when the need for oxygen became a problem. After they were able to fill their lungs, David was able to say, "Nani, you know that you didn't have to . ." , but was once again silenced by Nani with a short kiss.
When Nani pulled away she said, "I love you too, David."
David smiled and thought that he could never be happier than he was now.
"Aaaaawwwww."
David and Nani both snapped their heads to the source of the sound. The sight they saw was Jumba, Pleakley, Lilo and Stitch all looking through a gap in the now open door. Nani quickly pulled away from David and he nervously put his hands in his pockets.
"Ar, kissey face, puh." Stitch said.
"Didn't I tell you guys to go inside?" Nani asked.
"Yeah, but you said that you were going to talk to David, not kiss him." Lilo said matter-of-factly.
"What are you doing out here anyway?" Nani asked.
"Pleakley said he needed to work on his research of human behavior and he wanted to watch you guys for a little while, and I decided to help. Lilo answered.
"Will you guys just go inside, I'll be in there in a minute. Nani said.
"Fine." Lilo sighed.
After Nani made sure that they were inside, she turned back to David. "Sorry about them."
"It's okay. Uh, well I guess I had better leave. See you tomorrow?" David said.
"Yeah, bye David." Nani said as he began to walk down the steps.
Through the soft Hawaiian Island breeze, Nani thought that she heard, 'I love you.'
A couple of steps later, David thought that he heard 'I will love you always.'
