Chapter six is on the way!
Buaha how do you like the story so far?
I guess I shouldn't have put that poll in the bottom of my last chapter because nobody really commented on the story they all just gave their vote! Bah! Oh well.
And don't worry Draco will be here soon! I just need a way to introduce him into the story!
Well here goes, I don't own anything. JK Rowling owns all… sept Darren :)

Life would go on Harry realized, when he went to change that night after finding out Hagrid's death. And found his clothing splattered in brightly colored paint, and he laughed as the tears ran down his face. There were still great things in life, and he was looking foreword to a new tomorrow.
He slowly drifted off to sleep under his warm duvet to the song 'Beating Heart Baby' by Head Atomatica.
……………………………………………………………………………………………
It was October and Harry was very much looking foreword to his first Halloween in Saskatoon.
"Hey! Darren! Get your skinny ass over here!" yelled Harry with a huge smile on his face, waving to his friend.
Darren ran over.
"How DARE you call me skinny! Your like a twig there!" he said pinching the black haired boys arm.
"Oh yeah? Take a look at your own ass lately?" He smirked.
The green haired boy spun in a circle trying to look at his butt, like a dog trying to catch his tail.
Harry stuck his face close to Darren's once he stopped spinning and smiled. "Hey buddy… school time, remember?"
Darren nearly fell over he was so dizzy and Harry had to support him.
They were standing on the front steps to the school and Darren had just gotten off of the bus. Most of the school stood on these steps in the morning so if you wanted to find someone, that's where you would find them.
"You finish your science project?" Harry asked, holding the other boy up.
"Uhhhh… I tried?" Darren replied sheepishly, scratching his head.
Harry laughed and gave him a noogey.
"Hey you know I hate that!"
"Yeah well too bad sucker!" Harry yelled putting him into a headlock.
Darren was squirming around laughing when the bell rang to go to first period.
"Well let's go Harry! School… remember?" said a giggling Darren as he pulled away.
…………………………………………………………………………………..
Harry was almost falling asleep in homeroom… Science, ugh.
'Wonder what I should dress up as for Halloween…'
The teacher referred to the S and M thing again and Harry heard Darren stifle a giggle.
He had to ask Darren what was so funny about it; he really didn't understand it at all.
-Beeeeeeeeeep-
'Merlin that intercom is annoying.'
"Teachers and students. I have an announcement to maaaaake!" Exclaimed the excited secretary. Everyone in the room groaned. Her announcements were very long and pointless.
"The school board has decided to hold a city wide, high school Halloween dance to increase outer school unity! All the kids from all the schools will be in one school, since we are graced with the biggest gymnasium in the entire city WE ARE HOSTING IT! HURRAY!"
Harry's ears perked up at this. He would like to meet more people; he had several acquaintances so far like Adalei and Dominic and a few people Mrs. Robins had introduced him too. But his only true friend was Darren.
He looked over at Darren to find him air guitaring to the music in his head, his face was all scrunched up and he was head banging. Harry could hear his earrings jangling together. As usual he wasn't paying attention to anyone or anything.
He tended to do that a lot.
Harry had a feeling he had ADD.
"The dance will be held next Friday! Its six dollars for one ticket and ten for a couple! Go to the front doors, oh and by the way costumes aren't necessary but appreciated!"
Harry poked Darren in the ribs and the poor boy jumped a mile and yelped.
Everyone turned to stare at him. He just smiled and waved energetically; the other students just gave him a disgusted look and turned away, making Darren laugh.
"You going to the dance?" Whispered Harry.
Darren smiled. "Hell yes! Steve will be there, I haven't seen him in ages!"
Harry had heard about Steve a lot, him and Darren had pretty much grown up together. And when Darren was sort of a social outcast, Steve was one of the most popular kids in school. When they hit high school though, Steve's parents decided to move to the other side of the freaking city! And they don't talk or hang out much since then. Harry really wanted to meet him.
"So what are you going as?" asked Harry curiously, moving closer, giving Darren a cheesy smile.
Darren licked his finger and stuck it in Harry's ear. Harry squawked and pulled away.
"That's none of your beeswax buddy." He said snapping his fingers.
"Awe please?" He put on his puppy eyes full power.
Darren's left eye started to twitch. "You know how much I hate that! Harry you bugger!" Darren then grabbed hold of Harry's ear and tugged.
"Oh Merlin! Ouchie!" Said Harry in a very overdramatic voice.
Darren giggled. "I love how you say Merlin instead of god! You're going to start a new trend!" he said tugging on Harry's ear again.
"All the schools that are going will be having a contest against each other! There will be a costume contest and the best wins a prize of a dinner for two at the Japanese restaurant that everyone wants to get into but its way to expensive!" squealed the secretary.
Harry then said playfully. "Yeah, well I love how you giggle at everything." He scrunched up his nose.
Darren blushed and looked down at his lap, and Harry laughed.
…………………………………………………………………………
It was visual arts again and Harry was having troubles.
"Merlin, Darren how the hell do you do that?" he asked exasperatedly.
They were doing pottery, on potting wheels.
With Harry… that was a recipe for disaster, he was covered in clay; it was even in his hair! How that happened? Harry had no clue…
Darren laughed at him. "Its not that hard Harry, you have to be firm with it, show it whose boss."
Harry tried again, and his glob that was supposed to be a pot splattered all over him yet again.
"Why cant mine be like yours." Harry pouted.
Darren's pot was a twisting mass of clay that looked elegant and could be used as a vase.
"Because mine is mine." He replied scrunching his nose at Harry.
He then stood up, wiped his hands on his frock and walked over to Harry. "Here. Let me try to help."
He wrapped his arms around Harry from behind, with his head on Harry's shoulder.
Harry felt a jolt in his chest and held back a gasp.
Darren gently put his hands overtop of Harry's, turned on the turntable and began molding a pot.
Harry could feel Darren's lean chest and stomach flush against his back and felt his heart beat faster and a blush come to his face.
"See that's how you do it, remember, and be firm." Darren said into Harry's ear from his shoulder.
Harry gulped. "O-okay."
Darren just smiled and skipped away back to his overly professional piece of art, leaving Harry confused behind him.
He tried to make his pot again; he knew how to do it now but was too confused and shaky to do it well.
Darren just smiled.
……………………………………………………………………….
It was the Tuesday before the dance and Harry was out shopping with Mrs. Robins for his costume.
"Oh Harry dear you would look absolutely ADORABLE in this costume! Go try it on for me!" And with that the old lady pushed Harry into a change room without even letting him look at the outfit.
He looked down to find an a red M n' M with big white gloves.
He smiled and tried it on for Mrs. Robin's sake.
"Oh dear you DO look adorable in that!" she squealed and handed him a chocolate chip cookie.
He had to waddle to move and couldn't stop laughing at himself! Even the salesman in the store was chuckling to himself.
"Ah ont ink ishll wowk sowins." He said with a mouthful of cookie.
"Pardon dear?"
He laughed and took a few minutes to chew and swallow.
"I don't think that this will work Mrs. Robins."
"Oh that's fine dear I wasn't expecting you to like it I just wanted to see you in it." She said with a smile.
Harry changed out of the silly costume and went to go look at the more dreary stuff that he suddenly had a passion for.
Mesh, leather, skinny jeans, band tee's etc.
A devil costume would look good, and he had just found the perfect one.
It was more like the grim reaper but that was okay.
But he wanted something that he could actually 'dress up' in because the devil costume he would wear everyday.
…
In the end he couldn't decide between a doctors costume, complete with a trench coat with a nametag that said 'Dr. Love' and a stethoscope with a big pair of glasses, and a Pirate costume with an eye patch and a fake parrot.
He went with the pirate costume, and Mrs. Robins bought him some makeup to put on the lower part of his face to look like stubble and dirt and a tooth paint to paint on his teeth to make them look rotten.
"You think I have a chance in the costume contest?" He asked the old lady as they were driving home in their pink cookie smelling buggie.
"Yes I'm sure you will win, you have the right face for it."
Harry had no idea what that was supposed to mean but decided to take it as a compliment.
She was such a nice lady, and her and Mr. Robins were pretty rich as well, Harry hadn't had to go to Gringotts once yet. He had no idea how he could ever thank her for all of this.
The only problem with living with these sweet elders was Jeremy…
Ouch.
He blasted his music and brought his friends over when his grandparents weren't home. They smoked weed in the basement living room and while they were there Harry made sure he was either out of the house with Darren or locked in his room with a book and food.
…
They got home and put the groceries away that Mrs. Robins had bought on the way home. Harry offered to help with dinner.
"Oh no Harry dear you go rest, or play outside with your friends."
Harry smiled, she always talked to him like he was a very mature six year old, it was an odd combination but he liked it, made him feel loved. "No Mrs. Robins I insist, you bought me all my clothes and my costume for the dance and your giving me a ride there. I can peel potatoes?" he asked hopefully.
The argument went on for a while until Mr. Robins got home from his volunteer work, and persuaded his wife to let Harry help.
So in the end a smug Harry was peeling potatoes and carrots for dinner.
He was still confused about the Darren thing. He had only felt that sort of thing towards one other person, and that was Cho Chang. Did he have a crush on Darren? Or was it just that he was around the boy so often. Maybe he was gay? Oh Merlin the ridicule he would get. Maybe he was feeling brotherly love for Darren? Yeah… that was it.
Wow was he ever a bad liar.
He was so deep in thought that he cut his finger while peeling the potatoes, and was shooed out of the kitchen to get a band-aid.
'Well at least I tried to help.' He thought.
'I bet Darren can cook… and bake too.' Harry shook his head to get thoughts of the green haired boy out of his head, which he had found very hard to do this past week.
'Guh… time to go immerse myself in the grandness of the Internet.'
With that he headed downstairs (after checking if Jeremy was home) put the headphones on and listened to the media player and trying to sign up on this site Darren had told him about called he had the tshirt but didnt know it was a site.
In the mirror he thought he looked pretty sexy.
It was Friday night, and Harry had spent twenty minutes getting ready for the dance. He wanted to look perfect… in a greasy piratey kind of way.
His hat was crooked a little to the side and he used some of the makeup to make his eyebrows look bushier. In the end he looked maybe… thirty or so. He took off the parrot that was attached to the shoulder of the costume and that mad it look a lot better.
The utility belt was his favorite part, it had all these hoops and loops to hold things, he had a sword sheath with no sword though, a fake gun in its holster. A whip, a bunch of random tools and a box full of jax… don't ask why the jax are there, Harry didn't know either.
"Harry are you ready to go yet? Jeremy has already left for the dance! You don't want to be laaaaaaate!" hollered Mrs. Robins from up the stairs.
Harry spun around in front of his full-length mirror once more to make sure he was perfect for Darren… he then blushed because he was getting all dressed up for his friend.
"Okay I'm ready!" he yelled, grabbed his wallet, stuffing it in his back pocket and ran up the stairs. Tripping twice on the way up.
…………………………………………………………………….
Darren was waiting outside the front doors for Harry to show up, he had picked his costume design for the sole purpose of making him laugh. He was nervous about what Harry would think of it. At this time he was wearing a sort of cape over it so Harry couldn't see right away and the fact that it was nut shriveling cold outside.
It was about seven now and Steve had said him and a few of his friends would be coming at eight, so he was excited to introduce the two.
But he was worrying as well; he had been feeling the need to tell Harry about his… little problem. And he knew he should tell him… that's what friends do.
His problem was that he was bisexual. He had been for a long time, and the reason him and Steve don't see each other much was because of this, not because Steve moved.
Steve wasn't as open minded as Darren had hoped he was.
He sighed and wiped his eyes.
"Shit!" He had forgotten about the silver eye shadow he had put on.
…
The familiar pink Buggie pulled up the steps and Harry bounded out excitedly in a very… sexy pirate costume, and he felt himself get a little excited.
Darren smiled and blushed as Harry ran up.
"Hi Darren! How are you?"
Darren smiled at him, and Harry was obviously excited for the event ahead.
They both paid and made their way down the hall to the coat check, bristling excitedly whenever their arms touched, unknown to the other.
"So Darren… what are you? A vampire?"
"No you silly goose, I'm wearing this because its cold outside, my amazing costume is underneath!" said Darren dramatically, striking a pose.
Harry laughed, glad that he could still be comfortable around this boy.
At the coat check Harry was in for a surprise. Darren took off the cape he was wearing overtop of his outfit and whoa what an outfit it was.
It was a black skintight bodysuit, with gloves that looked like cat paws and had claws coming out of the knuckles. The pants went down over his regular boots and had claws painted on, there was a long fuzzy black tail coming out of the back of the costume right above his buttocks.
Harry was staring and was finding his pants becoming increasingly tighter. He felt that strange jolt in his chest again but this time it went straight down to his groin.
Darren had put on a pair of big fuzzy black cat ears and looked at Harry shyly.
He was confused and disappointed that he couldn't make Harry laugh, he loved it when Harry laughed.
Then he saw Harry's eyes involuntarily sweep down his body and he knew why Harry had been acting strange the past few days. A mad blush crept into his face and neck at this thought… He hoped it was true.
Darren grabbed Harry's hand and dragged him into where the actual dance was.
Harry snapped back to his senses when he got into the dark loud gymnasium, they were actually playing decent music.
In a few minutes he forgot his woes and problems and was too busy talking to people, commenting on costumes and sometimes dancing. Him and Darren did the YMCA very loudly and obnoxiously in the middle of the floor, they were the only ones dancing, but it drew a crowd and soon there was actually 'dancing' at the dance.
………………..
"Oh my god Steve!" Harry heard Darren holler from a few feet away and saw him run up to a tall muscular guy who was dressed up as Elvis.
"Darren my man how are you? How's your old man…?" said Steve.
"Oh he's fine but who cares about him. You're here!" Darren then started to jump up and down excitedly.
Steve laughed.
"Now who was this boy you wanted me to meet?" He tried to look over Darrens shoulder to see if the kid was there.
"Oh! Harry! He's right here! Ill get him!"
With that Darren did a one eighty, ran to Harry excitedly and started to push him from behind towards his childhood friend.
"Umm… hi?" Harry said shyly with a nervous laugh.
Steve held out a hand. "Nice to meet you Harry, I've heard a lot about you… where are you from? Your accent is familiar."
Harry took the firm hand and shook it. "I've heard about you too, and I'm from London." He said with a laugh.
Steve looked surprised.
"I know someone from there! He's here actually, tonight, he's in our grade."
'Oh what a coincidence!' Harry thought.
"I'd like to meet him. It would be nice to talk about British stuff with another Britain."
Darren was beaming beside him bouncing on the balls of his feet, very glad that his two best friends were getting along so nicely.
"Oh there he is right now! I think he's looking for me, I'll go get him." Said Steve with a smile.
Harry looked at Darren "Steve seems like a nice guy!"
Darren beamed and said cutely. "I know!"
Steve walked up to a blonde boy who was wearing the doctors suit Harry was looking at in the costume store, and tapped him on the shoulder. The boy turned and Harry could see his face.
"Oh not in fucking hell! No fucking way!" Harry gaped, very surprised.
Darren was looking back and forth between the boy and Harry… looking very confused.
"Oh Merlin…"
The boy smiled at Steve then turned to walk over to Darren and Harry when he stopped in his tracks looking very surprised.
The boy was the one and only…
Draco Malfoy, dressed as Dr. Love.
