The night sky was cool and clear. All was heard but "BOOM", "POP' and the a high pitch whistle from the lighten glory In the sky. It rained…fireworks.
"Come on you two! We don't want to miss the glorious fireworks do we?" A certain boy in green spandex rushed with excitement going ahead of his teammates.
"Wait up Lee!" A certain weapon mistress called out for her teammate. She sighed loudly and rolled her eyes.
"…How did I even agree on coming to this firework show?" mumbled a certain Hyuuga prodigy. Hyuuga Neji wasn't into these kind of things.
Tenten over heard him mumble. "Ah, its not actually that bad Neji. Fireworks are fun. Loud, colorful and eye catching," She said with a smile.
"If you say so. I never really was into these kind of things. Never really got to see them when I was little." Neji said while gazing at the night sky. The two caught up with there teammate Rock lee and sat down on a grassy hilltop in front of a tree. The fireworks started before they even got to the hilltop.
"Wow this is a great view for fireworks!" said Tenten happily while getting out her digital camera. She took a few pictures of the fireworks. And took pictures of her teammates.
"smile Neji!"
"Huh?"
(flash) ha-ha what a picture! Tenten fell to the grass laughing.
"Tenten that wasn't funny!" Neji said angrily. He took her digital camera. He saw and just sighed.
"O-Okay, I'm okay…group picture!" Tenten grabbed the camera from Neji and held her arm out. Lee was on her left while Neji on her right. Lee did a Gai smile and his teeth went "ping!" Neji just kept a "hn" face.
Tenten blushed a little and took the picture.
(Flash) With the fireworks in the background of the picture she looked at the picture. What she saw was Neji kissed her on the cheek..
"Eh? Neji?" Her eyes grew with the surprise and blushed two different shades of pink. She turned to Neji. He was looking at the firework display. His face expression didn't seem like anything happened.
Out of nowhere Lee said while getting up. "Tenten-kun, Neji-kun I'm going to find Sakura-san and see if I could watch the fireworks with her!" Lee said happily and rushed off to find Sakura. Tenten put back her camera. All of the rookies were here. They were scattered around the area watching fireworks with there team. The two sat and watched the sky lighten up little by little. All was heard between them but the fireworks. Tenten broke the silence.
"Its nice tonight isn't it Neji?" Tenten said softly. She put here hand on here right cheek and blushed a little. " he kissed me on the cheek." she thought quickly.
Tenten turned her head to Neji. " Neji, why did you-"two lips stopped her from saying anything else.
" Happy fourth of July Tenten, I love you" the Hyuuga took his lips off of hers and he put his hand tightly around her hand.
"I love you too…" Tenten said softly. She laid her head on Nejis shoulder.
Both watched the rest of the fireworks happily.
"Happy fourth of July…Neji."
