The Legendary Captain Jack Sparrow
Disclaimer: Not mine. Dang…
Note: Just a quick ditty for shits n' giggles. Also, I'm not a English major, I tried to edit best I could, but if Office told me to fix something, chances are I did what the computer told me to do.
Captain Jack Sparrow was a man without fear, if the stories are to be believed (which, honestly, they shouldn't be, but please ignore that fact for now). Listening to the talk around the pubs and back rooms of Port Royal and other ports of far less repute, one would assume the Jack Sparrow, excuse me, Captain Jack Sparrow had faced death only to laugh at it, out-bargained a gypsy queen, bedded 5000 women in a single night only to face their husbands when he was done.
Therefore, it would come as a great surprise to many that the legendary Captain Jack Sparrow was scrambling on top of his map desk; all while throwing his boots at a rapidly retreating form.
"GIBBS!" the infamous Captain yelled (and infamous and legendary captains do not shriek, no matter what their first mates may say over drinks the next day)
"What is it, Jack?" The aforementioned first mate peered into his captain's room.
"You're letting it escape!" Jack (did not shriek) shouted, throwing his beloved hat at the feet of his first mate. "Kill it, Gibbs!"
Fortunately for the notorious Captain Jack Sparrow, Gibbs was not one to listen to the stories of the notorious Captain Jack Sparrow. For that reason, Gibbs knew that Jack Sparrow had never out-bargained a gypsy queen (in fact, Jack had been talked out of 3 barrels of rum), never bedded 5000 women in a single night (nor had the randy bastard ever made it past 5, and he always slipped out before a husband had a chance to return home), as for laughing at death? Well, it was more likely that Jack had been drunk and laughing at a joke he had remembered from his childhood rather then actually laughing at whatever was threatening him.
It was for that reason that Gibbs made no move to kill the small mouse running out of Jack's room. "Sir, it's gone."
Jack attempted to peer around Gibbs, as if checking to see that the mouse really was running away from him. Seeing that the legendary Captain Jack Sparrow had once again defeated his enemy, this time with only the clothing off his back, Jack climbed off the map desk. "Well done, Gibbs." And with that, Captain Jack Sparrow was back at work, planning adventures which would, without a doubt, add to the mystic of Captain Jack Sparrow.
Leaving the captains quarters, Joshamee Gibbs that just once, the boys at The Golden Mermaid would believe his stories of the legendary Captain Jack Sparrow's fear of mice.
