You Sure You Didn't Hit Your Head?

"Did you see that?" Yuna gasped.

"What's wrong, Yunie? You hit your head or something?" Rikku asked, with furrowed brows.

"Do you need a break?" Paine wondered.

Yuna looked back at her two friends. She didn't want to tell them that there was a floating moogle before her that only she could see. Last thing she needed was them thinking she had lost her mind.

"Just stay right there; I'll be right back," she replied, before running down the corridor.

Rikku and Paine exchanged glances.

"I think she needs a break," Paine said, before she and Rikku followed her.

Yuna didn't understand it. Everytime the moogle stopped was at another spot around Luca that she had been to before...with him. She recalled the memories so vividly, as if they had been forged yesterday. But, it had been two years. Why couldn't she forget him?

The moogle finally stopped on a deck beside a boat. She watched it for a few moments, still remembering and trying not to let go of the past. She heard a familiar voice; her concentration was broken and the strange moving moogle vanished for good.

"Maybe Paine was right; maybe I do need a break," she thought to herself.

Yuna shook her head to herself and turned around to face the other two women. She blushed a little, embarassed over her last action. Rikku watched her with furrowed brows, as if in heavy concentration. Then, she placed her hands behind her head and leaned to one side as she smirked.

"Oh, I know who you're thinking about!" the thief girl exclaimed.

Again, Yuna blushed.

"More memories?" Paine wondered, before crossing her arms over her chest.

Yuna nodded. "It's so strange. It's like I can feel him still; it's like he's never truly left me..." her voice trailed off somewhat.

"Well, I think everyone feels that way sometimes about a special someone," Rikku declared.

Paine arched and eyebrow and kept her crimson gaze on the younger woman.

"And, you would know?" the silver-haired warrior inquired.

"Hmm, I dunno," Rikku answered cheekily.

"Spill it," Paine said.

Yuna folded her hands behind her back innocently. She smiled.

"I know who," the former summoner said.

Rikku scoffed and pointed her finger at her cousin.

"Yunie, you promised you wouldn't tell anyone I liked Gippal!" the blonde girl exclaimed.

It was then Rikku realized her mistake. Yuna hadn't said anything yet; she had fallen for it and said who it was herself. Her green eyes widened as Yuna laughed and Paine smirked.

"Gippal, hm? You sure you didn't hit your head?" the older woman asked.

As the poor Al-Bhed girl stood there embarassed and speechless, Paine finally clapped a hand on her bare shoulder.

"Don't worry; your secret's safe with me," she assured.

The End.
