When I noticed I cannot say,

But there was something in you that was different,

Separating you from the common crowd. . .

And I liked it.

Your strength, your passions,

Your fears, your shame. . .

They moved me.

How could they not?

But did you listen?

Could you see that I knew

That you weren't as others claimed you to be?

I'll never know. . . .

You pushed me away. . .

Dismissed me. . .

Shattered my hopes without a backwards glance.

I pray you do not regret your decision forever,

Because I'd never wish that on you.

Nevertheless, know this. . .

We could have been good together.
