Broken Heart

Kuki looked at her clock for the ninth time in 5 minutes. She looked out of her window, nothing. Kuki, now 16, was waiting for Wally to come pick her up for their first date. She flipped on the radio and started listening to a song. The radio announcer said in a smooth voice, "And now, Cyndi Lauper's, True Colors." Kuki's head perked, "Cyndi Lauper? On THIS radio station?" She was just about to change the station when she started listening to the words.

You with the sad eyes

Don't be discouraged

Oh I realize

It's hard to take courage

In a world full of people

You can lose sight of it all

And the darkness inside you

Can make you feel so small

And I see your true colors shining thru

I see your true colors

That's why I love you

So don't be afraid

To let them sho-

Kuki changed the station, "Fucking station…it's too true!" She wailed. She waited in her room for probably another hour, "God! Where is he!" Kuki saw a car drive up. She jumped up and ran downstairs. The door opened as she hugged him, "OH WALLy?" Kani took off his jacket, "Oh arigato Kuki-san. I didn't think you'd be so happy to see your papa home today. I'm sorry, I had to work overtime."

Kuki's mouth dropped, "Oh man! WALLY WAS SUPPOSED TO PICK ME UP HOURS AGO!" Mushi looked at her from behind the couch, " Well…what if he forgot?" Kuki's eyes flared, "He's been talking about this date ever since he asked me!" Mushi turned back, "Oh well…what if he went that other girl he liked instead?" Kuki was furious now, "WHAT OTHER GIRL?" Mushi smiled, "Blonde hair, blue eyes. I'm just kidding! But what if there is another girl sister?"

Kuki sighed with relief, "Well there's not. He's always with me, or with Hoagie." Mushi looked back at her again, "Well what if he went to hang out with Hoagie?" Kuki looked at her, "No. He promised me that he cancelled EVERYTHING he had to do tonight. SO WHERE IS HE?" Kuki grabbed the phone and punched in Wally's number. "Hello?" Wally's mom asked. Kuki smiled, "Hi Mrs. Beatles, it's me, Kuki, is Wally there?" Mrs. Beatles started thinking about it, "Uhm…..He did leave quite some time ago…Why dear?" Kuki listened in confusion, "He was supposed to pick me up for our date like 3 hours ago." Mrs. Beatles sounded worried, "Oh dear. Hopefully he hasn't gotten into any trouble. Uhmm…dear! I think Wally's gone missin!" Kuki tried to yell over Mrs. Beatles voice, "OK! THANKS ANYWAY MRS. BEATLES! BYE!" Kuki hung up the phone and plopped on the couch next to Mushi.

"ARGH!" Kuki yelled into a pillow. Mushi just ate some fruit snacks and kept watching TV. Kuki grabbed the phone again and dialed Hoagie's number. Hoagie answered, "Hello?" Kuki ran upstairs, "Hoagie!" She whined. Hoagie raised his eyebrow, "Kuki? I thought you went on a date with Wally." Kuki looked a picture of Wally she had on her desk, "Well he didn't show up…" Hoagie's eyes widened, "HE DIDN'T SHOW UP!

B-BUT IT WAS YOUR FIRST DATE! AND…ugh. That's crazy. Something must've happened."

Kuki smiled, "Really? You mean he didn't drop the date on purpose?" Hoagie smiled back, "Yeah, something probably came up. Now come on. You want me to take you to dinner? You're probably starved." Kuki felt happy to have such good friends, "Sure. Pick me up in 10?" Hoagie nodded, "Cool, wanna hit McDonalds?" Kuki rubbed her stomach, "Mmm…sounds good. Thanks Hoagie, you rock." Hoagie smiled, "I know, I know."

Well chappie one for ya. I guess just R&R guys! And well…nvm. Just review.
