DISCLAIMER

NOTE: I am aware that the entire series is not finished yet. With the potential number of changes in the canon, this story will be an AU (Alternate Universe) that combines both elements and characters from Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss, while adopting some actual new elements from the canon. This story is also not too "Lore-Friendly" (aka not being too accurate to the world of the Canon.) So, be warned if some inaccurate information in this AU may make you cringe.

In regard to The Magne Family being renamed into The Morningstar Family, I will be sticking to "The Magne Family" as it's what I'm used to during the development and writing of this story. If it gets in the way too far for most of my readers, I can make an exception and fix it to "Morningstar". Just let me know.

Both shows along with their characters DOESN'T belong to me. The series respectively belongs to SpindleHorse and its creator, Vivienne Medrano (aka "VivziePop".) The plot in this Fan Fiction and some characters you'll know who are OCs (Original Characters) are original from me. Chapter 3: H̶a̶p̶p̶y̶ Hazbin Hotel.

Checking in. Kind of…

-(Hazbin Hotel; Pride Ring of Hell)-

(Morgan's POV)

As we were approaching our destination, I turned my head to see the hotel she always talked about. But… "Hazbin Hotel? I thought it was "Happy Hotel"."

She sighed and stayed silent when I mentioned that name. Almost as if she was a little bit annoyed at me calling it that.

"What?"

"It might not look like much to you, but the name change kind of bothers me sometimes." Charlie said while staring at the sign of her hotel wretchedly.

My eyes landed on the sign too. "Who changed it?"

"Alastor did. The moment he and I accepted the terms on becoming business partners. As to why he named it like that, I'm not even sure." She said as the limousine stopped.

I opened the door and held it for her when I stepped out. "Is he here?"

She shook her head as she got off the ride. "No. He's in his radio station at the moment talking about recent events like 666 News. But probably under his own rhetoric to find some sort of entertainment behind it."

As soon as she got off the limousine, I shut the door and tapped the top of the vehicle as a sign for the Royal Guardsman to park it somewhere. They moved out of the front and parked on the of the hotel while remaining in the vehicle. Not sure how long I was going to stay in the hotel to investigate for any suspicious activities, but they were my ride out back to the WarDog HQ. Still, I had a doubt in my mind that this hotel about rehabilitation for demons was the last place you'd expect from having anything related to the ambush.

Charlie stretched and yawned before turning back at me while holding the handle of the front door. "Welcome~! As the owner of this hotel, I would like to personally welcome you into the center of…no wait…" She cleared her throat as she was dissatisfied with the first take. "Morgan Adler, it is with great honor to invite you to the Magne Family's Hotel of Redemption and…meh. No. Too formal?" She cut the second one… "I, Princess Charlie Magne, would like to introduce you to: Ha-…Ha…Hazbin Hotel…" She mumbled the name as she felt repulsed by calling it that.

I couldn't help but let out a chortle as I knew she was trying so hard to finally introduce someone to her hotel.

She blushed wildly and glared at me. "Are you laughing at me?!"

"N-Nohoho!" I chuckled so more and sighed. "It's not like that."

"It most certainly does feel like that…" She pouted.

"Sorry if it did." I bowed my head a little. "It's just you're so cute when you're trying so hard to properly introduce your establishment to me, even though I'm not here to rehabilitate."

"Yeah…sorry." She looked away embarrassingly. "It's just something I've always wanted to do, just like the time I gave you my business card back at Janice's…"

"It's alright." I patted her head a bit. "Let's head inside though."

Charlie nodded and opened the door for me. "Head on in first. You're my guest, after all."

I almost insisted on her offer, but I figured I would let this pass in order to satisfy her by having a "guest" like me walking inside. Going through the door, I was welcomed with a comforting and sweet scent from a detergent I had never smelled before. Due to my enhanced canine senses I was given in Hell, my nose was just overwhelmed with it. But not to the point where it was offensive. I honestly did like it. Other than the smell, the main hallway and the lobby was completely spotless with every decoration being neatly placed or fixed. My first impressions of the design and state of this hotel were pretty positive so far. I recall some people mentioning this was an old building the Royal Family used as one of their residences before Charlie took control of it herself. No doubt a lot of renovations were done to give this place a makeover. As for the cost, well, I assumed Charlie's privileged status would easily handle the bills for the designers and builders. Or maybe got some help with Alastor, since she mentioned being business partners with him.

"Looks like my housekeeper finished cleaning for the morning." Charlie said as she walked inside next to me.

"You said you only have one for this entire hotel? Where did you find one that is this dedicated?" I asked.

Charlie sheepishly scratched the back of her head and smiled wryly. "Alastor summoned her here. She's been quite helpful."

"Oh!" A voice was let out over the second-floor railing. It came from a small statured cyclops girl with short pink hair, wearing a maid uniform. She had a rag and duster in her hand as if she was recently finished cleaning in the level she was on. Her single eye shifted near the fireplace where we stood and suddenly hopped across and fell down the ledge, perfectly landing on the first floor. "Damn! I missed a spot!" She dashed towards the unlit fireplace to head inside and clean the chimney from the bottom.

I stared with my mouth hanging open due to her speed and going as far to cleaning that deeply in a spot nobody would even notice. "Holy shit. She's not even using a chimney sweep…"

Charlie giggled and just gave a smile up at me. "She usually doesn't need that much. THAT is pure dedication."

The cyclops girl returned by coming out of the fireplace, covered in chimney soot. She used the feather duster to somehow remove all of it before shaking them off. The soot and dust that hit the floor was immediately swept by her, then placed in metal bucket near the fireplace where ashes were stored. "Whew~! All done!"

"Excellent work, Niffty!" Charlie smiled and bent over a little to pat her head. "You sure are quite energetic even in the morning."

"Of course! Who else is going to make sure everything is clean and neatly placed!" She grinned.

"That's why we're happy to have you." She nodded. "You finished the upper floors, I assume?"

"Everything is all good upstairs, Your Highness~!" The one-eyed maid smiled but shifted her stare to me next before jolting and freezing in place. Slowly, her smile sharpened, and she eagerly dashed closer while examining me as if she has never seen a man. "Oh my…Well, hello~! And who are you~? Checking in~?"

Charlie shook her head and introduced me to her hotel housekeeper. "No. This is Colonel Adler. He was just dropping by to check on the hotel after my dad had some concerns about recent events."

"A military man, hmm?" She grinned and gave a curtsey bow, which I'll admit was kind of cute. "I'm Niffty. And I'm the one who single-handedly keeps this place spotless!" She said proudly.

I smiled back and took even more notice on how effective she was at her job. The place was practically sparkling. "I can tell. Quite the talent you have there, Miss Niffty."

"Hehehe~ !" She grinned widely as if she took the compliment a little bit too much.

"Don't compliment her too much though. Or she's going to start humping your leg." A voice said out loud from the back, which was a door that was labeled with a "Main Office" sign.

"Why, I never!" Niffty shouted back with a pout. She looked up back at me and gave that wide smile again. "It was nice meeting a handsome man like you here! But duty calls." She said before dashing away to clean up the rest of downstairs of the spots she potentially missed.

Charlie giggled and looked at the doorway where the voice came from. "Vaggie! You want to drop by and say "Hello" to our new Advisor?"

"Yeah, sure. Hang in there, hon. I need to get these stacks back to the main desk anyway." The voice responded as a woman shorter than Charlie exited the room with a stack of files and papers on the same level as her upper torso. Gray-lavender skin tone, long white hair with a bow, dressed in a blouse and skirt, and an "X" on her left eye. She approached both of us while effortlessly holding onto the load.

"This is Vaggie. The Manager of this Hotel. And my girlfriend I talked about earlier." Charlie introduced her next.

"Hey." She said while giving her head a nod upwards as a way to greet. "I would shake your hand, but I got a shitload of paperwork on my hands…"

"I know the feeling…" I nodded back. "They don't call me an "Officer" without the "Office"."

Vaggie chortled briefly and shook her head. "That's a good one."

I shrugged and moved out of the way for her in the hallway. "Nice meeting you. But I'll let you get back to it."

"Yeah. Thanks." She said before walking pass both of us.

After she was gone, I nudged Charlie slightly and looked down at her. "She seems to be in an "Okay" mood, doesn't she?"

She gave a wry smile and scratched her head while leading me deeper inside the hotel. "During work, she keeps it all in. But as soon as the doors close, that's when you get to see her fury."

"If you add her being drunk and having that time of the month, tch…" A gruff voice said from the entryway to what looks like the bar. The one who said it was a demonic feline with wings, wearing a top hat and suspenders with a bowtie. "She's alright. But I had my fill of dealing with her anger. A woman who is dealing with the three of those is a bitch to handle."

"Just try to handle it once in a while, okay, Husk?" Charlie bit her lip as she was worried this guy, Husk, was unable to bear it much longer.

"It's no big deal. I've been through enough shit to handle it like nothing. Plus, the booze helps." He chuckled lightly while opening a bottle of beer for himself using his claws.

"Too early to drink, don't you think?" She said, concerned.

"Ehhh…Don't sweat it, Your Highness. An old man like me needs some alcohol to keep me going." He smirked before finishing up his drink.

"Well~, anyway…" Charlie cleared her throat and went back to giving her casual smile. "Husk, this is Colonel Adler! He's just here to search around the hotel for anything suspicious after what happened."

Husk raised an eyebrow and raised his empty glass. "Hey." He casually greeted. "You a Fed or something?"

"Uhh…no. I'm a WarDog." I told him while showing him the patch on my left shoulder.

"Are speaking metaphorically or literally?" He pointed at my dog ears and chuckled.

"Whichever makes it funnier to you." I chuckled back.

Suddenly, the door to the bathroom slammed open as a slender spider-like demon with multiple arms walked out while holding a 22 oz. (bomber bottle) beer in one of her…or what I assume is a 'her'…hands. Towering height, dressed in a pink and white blazer, high heeled boots, and a miniskirt. Something seemed off about 'her?'. The look in 'her?' eyes were both exhausted and slightly drunk as 'she?' stumbled 'her?' way to the counter to have a seat and lean face first on the wooden surface. Seems to be the work of a hangover with some leftover alcohol in the system, since it's still morning. I was a bit disturbed that 'she?' walked into the bathroom with the drink and stayed in there for who knows how long, only to come out in that state. How many drinks did it take for this person to be like that anyway?

"Angel Dust…" Charlie sighed out the name.

"Seriously, stop taking your fucking drink to the restroom. It's disgusting." Husk said with clear annoyance in his tone.

This 'Angel Dust' person stayed quiet and just let out a hiccup as if ignoring both of them.

"Since you're here already…" She shifted her eyes back to me with an embarrassed grin. "This right here is Angel Dust. Officially our first guest of the hotel." Charlie said while stepping aside.

"Hello, beautiful." I smiled to at least give a friendly greeting to cheer 'her?' up in that state.

She nudged my side as soon as I greeted her. "That's a guy."

OH!

"Hello, handsome." I quickly corrected my greetings to HIM.

"Good save…" Husk whispered before bursting out laughing.

Angel Dust let out a small laugh and raised his bottle of beer to me while still leaning against the counter. "Hey now. Guys can be beautiful too, you know."

Charlie rolled her eyes at him and looked back at me. "How did you not know he was a guy?"

"Didn't really pay attention to the news after that song you pulled. I was still in the middle of working." I explained while smiling sheepishly. "Plus, I don't know too much about pornography in Hell because of my girlfriend." I added.

Upon hearing that, Angel Dust chuckled and shook his head. "You poor, poor doggy."

"Ai yai yai~…!" A loud sigh came from the bar's doorway, which was Vaggie leaning against it. "Alright. I think everything is all set for today. Even though it's usually not busy almost every day…" She said while heading to the counter to request a glass of water from Husk.

Charlie smiled and patted her girlfriend's head. "You know, there's no need to strain yourself this much. Especially if there's not much to do. You're just stressing yourself out."

"Sorry, Char." Vaggie sighed and sipped her glass. "I just want things to be prepared just in case the unexpected happens. Like…miraculously, we get guests pouring in."

Niffty popped out of the counter as she was busy cleaning under it. "I think she's preparing everything now because of that one guest we had last night."

"Wait, you had a guest staying here?" I asked with a smile. "That's good to hear!"

"Yup." Vaggie nodded and let out a lengthy sigh. "Unfortunately, he wasn't here to rehabilitate, which was the purpose of this hotel to begin with. I kept telling him that this wasn't your standard hotel, and he wouldn't be able to stay here if he wasn't going to rehabilitate. Hell, it was pretty late to check-in at this time. This guy was SO persistent and actually handed me a generous amount of cash just to stay for one night until the morning."

"Did you take the money?"

Vaggie sheepishly bit her lip and shifted her eye away from me. "Well, yeah. We do need the funds for this hotel. Mainly because Charlie refused some financial assistance from her parents, even with their disapproval of her beliefs of redemption. She can be a bit stubborn sometimes…"

Charlie pouted and blushed lightly. "You know I hate being a burden…"

"Where is this guest? Is he still staying here as we speak?"

She nodded and pulled up the check-in book. "He should still be here since he only wanted to stay for the night. Room #11. I told him that he would have to check out at 11 A.M because that's the usual time actual hotels tell guests to leave. According to Niffty, he hasn't come out of his room yet."

This sort of desperation coming from that guest had me suspicious a little. So, I pried even further in the subject just in case. "What was he like?" I asked while looking at the stairway.

"Extraño. Strange." Vaggie answered with the first word being mumbled in Spanish. "He was dressed in a hoodie wearing a scarf covering half of his face. It may have been cold outside since it was near midnight. But I was still skeptical and cautious just in case he planned something." She shrugged and summoned a dagger to show what she meant by 'being cautious' about him. "Speaking of which, he also seemed paranoid and in a rush about something. He just mentioned he got back into the city too."

Husk shifted his eyes towards me and gave a raise of his brow. "Hold on. Didn't the ambush that happened last night take place outside the City?"

"The ambush happened at around 6 PM. Is it possible he's involved to what's happening?" Charlie asked.

"That's a bit of a stretch. But…it doesn't mean it's not possible." I scratched my chin.

Angel Dust tilted his head and set his empty glass down. "So, wait. We potentially have a guy upstairs that is the most wanted in all of Hell?"

"Let's not jump to conclusions just yet. I'll have to call Damiens on this one for more info."

I took out my work phone and connected a call to Major General Damiens, only to have it be picked up and hear a feminine voice instead of his.

"Hello?" She answered.

"Who is this?"

"This is Mei Damiens. My father is unavailable at the moment. Colonel Adler?"

"Yeah." I answered. "Good to speak with you again! I was just giving him a call to report that Hazbin Hotel has a guest over here. And it turns out he isn't here for rehabilitation. Does that seem odd to you?"

"Hold on a second. You're at Hazbin right now?" Mei asked with some concern in her voice.

"I am. Your dad and King Lucifer suggested that I head down to the Princess' Hotel to make sure it's all clear over here. Why? He didn't tell you yet?"

"Neither my dad nor the King told me." She replied. "But you might want to watch your back."

I stood frozen and looked at the others as they all looked at me, as if they heard Mei say that last sentence. "What do you mean?" I asked her.

"According to my friends in the DSF (Domestic Security Forces), traffic cameras detected a suspicious vehicle coming from the backroads north of Pentagram City. Those roads are never used nowadays and yet they came out of it without a trace. Afterwards, they did stop near the hotel. But they seemed to have dropped someone off. Tall male in a black hoodie and a scarf covering his mouth and nose." Mei said before I heard her sip her drink. "He was walking towards the Princess' hotel before he went off screen."

That description matched with the details Vaggie mentioned about the guest earlier!

"Are they still tracking the vehicle?"

"Unfortunately, they supposedly lost track of the van due to interference. Seriously, we NEED to upgrade the traffic cameras." Mei groaned in annoyance due to losing a potential target because of outdated equipment.

Charlie nervously bit her lip and looked at me for a solution. "What do we do now?"

"It's just me in the hotel with five civilians. Princess Magne included." I told Mei.

"Colonel, I would NOT recommend you investigating this on your own. Contact any nearby units to assist you on this one." She recommended, reminding me that WarDogs were also on patrol in the city.

"That's the plan." I nodded. "I gotta hang up on you, Mei. Thanks for the information. Pass this along to your dad and the others if you have the chance."

"I will. Stay safe, sir." She said one last time before both of us hung up.

After, I went back to my work phone's main screen and pressed the side button in a secret pattern. Finishing it, a screen of multiple radio channels was revealed, where my device was able to connect to both military and law enforcement frequencies. I adjusted my setting to contact all frequencies in a close vicinity around the hotel. The others stayed quiet as they allowed me to speak through due to the situation we're all in.

"Glory Hound to all stations receiving. Any units near Hazbin Hotel? Possible suspicious individual residing in one of the rooms. Requesting assistance. How copy?" I asked.

The phone stayed silent for a little bit until I suddenly got a reply. "Glory Hound. Vermilion Actual. We're two klicks away from your position. Rolling in now. Out."

"A-firm." I replied before the connection was cut. Unholstering my standard issue sub-machine gun I was given back at HQ, I slapped the cocking handle down to put the bullet in the chamber and looked at the others while keeping my finger off the trigger. "Looks like I have backup coming. Another WarDog Squad will be here in two minutes. Suggest you guys stay down here, okay?"

"Can I watch?!" Niffty asked excitedly.

"No." Charlie declined almost immediately.

Niffty puffed her cheeks and clenched her fists like an angry child. "Why~?!"

Charlie sighed and patted her head to ease her down a bit. "This is military business. You wouldn't want to get in their way, would you?"

I chuckled and tilted my head towards the stairway. "I'm sure she can watch. But just be sure to keep your distance."

Making my way towards the stairs with Niffty eagerly following me VERY closely, for some reason, I kept my thumb on the firing switch with my finger on the side of the trigger while aiming my gun upwards. My approach was slower and quieter just in case the guest was in the hallway for whatever reason. But it turns out, the hallway was empty which allowed me to push forwards and find hotel room #11. As soon as I reached near the door, I gave Niffty a hand signal by using my right hand to go to my hip level with an open palm as I way of telling her to stop. But this only caused me to put my hand on her head like I was petting her, showing how close she really was.

Giving her a wry smile, I awkwardly patted her head as she clearly got some enjoyment out of that. "No offense. But…some personal space, please?"

"Sorry. It's just that…you look so cool~…" She squealed with her eye sparkling up at me. "Should I leave you alone then…?" She frowned like a cat left in the rain.

I switched my mouth into a warm smile this time to assure her that her presence wasn't bothering me at all. "I don't mind you watching. But…" I shifted my eyes downwards of the stairs to see Charlie and the others peeking. "Seriously? All of you wanted to watch too?"

Husk shrugged with a beer in his hand. "Hey. We had nothing better to do. So why not?"

"Just wanted to see how you military boys handle cleaning out a room. Maybe I can learn a thing or too." Angel Dust joked before giving a wink.

"Honestly, I doubt you will match up to Niffty here." I rolled my eyes.

"He complimented me again~!" She squealed happily before dashing back to the group in the stairs.

"Vaggie. You got a spare room key for this door?"

Vaggie nodded her head and tossed me the key. "Be careful. If there really is a suspect in the room, that door is probably rigged."

"No doubt. I'll just check if it works first." I nodded and carefully went closer to the room door to insert the key. However, it went in, but it didn't let me twist through as if I got the wrong key. "It's not working."

Angel Dust shifted his eyes down at Vaggie and raised a brow. "You sure that was the right key, Toots?"

"I know it's the right one!" She said while taking a look at the key again after I tossed it back to her. "This key should work. Why isn't it?"

"Magical touch? Use of a gadget to disable a lock in place? Whatever the case, we're probably going to have to breach it." I came to that conclusion. "How much are the doors in this hotel?"

"They're easily replaceable. But they're pretty thick to kick down." Charlie said while putting a doubtful look on her face.

"They're soundproof too. Hehehe~! OOOFFFFFF!" Angel Dust joked while wiggling his brows before collapsing after getting his crotch punched by Vaggie.

I rolled my eyes and chuckled a bit too. "Well, good to know they can't hear us either."

"Glory Hound. This is Vermilion Actual." A sudden call from my radio popped up.

"Go ahead." I responded immediately.

"We're outside the hotel. Vermilion 3, 5, and 6 will remain exterior to watch for any escape attempt while the rest of us head inside to help you out. Clear to get in through the entrance?"

Switching my MP5A3 out of its safety, I responded back to Vermilion Leader. "Green. Head on in. Be advised: Princess Charlie and her employees are on the deck of stairs when you head up. Watch your fire."

"Copy all. Moving interior. Out."

Looking back at Charlie, she peeked over the railing of the stairs after some noise was heard downstairs. She motioned her hand at someone to come upstairs, which was no doubt Vermilion Squad making their way up here. The first one up the line of WarDogs was Vermilion Leader; armed with what I assume was a Howa Type 20, a Japanese made assault rifle used by the Japanese Self-Defense Force. On his hip was a DS-9 semi-auto pistol, a handgun developed from Hell. But on the opposite side of his belt was a katana with the Japanese flag symbol on the handle. My thoughts to wonder if he was Japanese was answered as soon as I saw the emblem for the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force with black stripes on his combat vest. Another thing I noticed was that both of his demonic horns were cut off.

Behind him was a wolf-like Hellhound woman with a much lighter combat build of uniform, but with some additional gadgets and armed with a CC-600 Shotgun that was crafted in Hell and exclusive to the WarDogs. Her long hair was mostly tied to bun with a hair stick, which turns out to be a stiletto knife in a sheath. But the rest of her grey highlighted hair was down past her shoulders. Lastly, the Vermilion Squad member in the back was an imp with a pretty intimidating MR-20 Hell crafted marksman rifle with a 6x scope and canted holographic on the side. At the tip of his rifle was a bayonet in front of the bipod. Like the Hellhound, he was more lightly armored while wearing a combat flannel and lightweight harness with a smaller ballistic plate. Both sides of his hips had pistols with extended mags and collapsible stocks. But the most noticeable tool he had was the kukri knife on his left shoulder.

"Chief Warrant Officer Raizo Murakami." Vermilion Leader introduced himself to me.

"First Sergeant Melodie Elise. Second-In-Command." The Hellhound said while she waved a peace sign.

"Marksman. Master Sergeant Edgar Gympie, sir." The imp nodded his head up as a greeting.

I gave my head a small bow a with a smile. "Good to have you here, fellas. We need this door breached. Do you have anything?"

"Can we use a snake cam?" Raizo asked.

"Negative. Bottom of the door is too tight and obstructed." I shook my head.

"Force entry breach it is." Melodie smirked as she had the tools and bodily strength of a Hellhound for what had to be done.

Edgar looked back at Charlie's group and gave a hand motion of both his hands on his ears as a sign for them to cover them. They understood what he was saying as they covered their ears nervously.

Raizo prepped a flashbang with his left hand while his right hand switched his rifle off the safety. "Mongrel. Do your thing." He called for his Number 2.

"Room service~!" Melodie grinned and fired rounds on the door latch, then the lock before donkey kicking the door with a tremendous amount of force, which was able to force it open.

In a split second with the door opened, Raizo tossed the flashbang inside. The moment it detonated was the time I went inside with my gun up.

"GO! GO!"

While I took point first, Melodie was behind me after while each of us moved to each side of the entrance to allow Raizo and Edgar to enter as well. Both of us quickly scanned the entire room for any movement and suspicious items. I moved forward with my barrel still up as Melodie did the same thing while Raizo and Edgar watched our backs. The living room was clear as Melodie turned her way down the hall where the rooms and bathroom were. I went behind her to tap her shoulder as a sign I was stacking up with her to clear the rooms. Since they were all open, there was no need to break the doors. Room by room, there was nothing. Nobody.

Just a very faint beeping, assuming it was just one of the hotel room's devices effected by the flashbang.

"Bathroom clear!" Melodie shouted.

"Room 1 clear!" I shouted back while heading to the second bedroom to verify it was clean. "Room 2 clear!"

"Living room clear!" Edgar said while lowering his weapon.

"Closet is clean!" Raizo called out last as he walked out.

Melodie lowered her gun and buzzed her lips. "So much for having a target surrounded…"

"Vermilion 5 to Actual. Boss?" Raizo's radio called up. "Status?

Raizo picked up and sighed. "Negative on our target. Room is dry."

"You guys picked the right room though, right?" The voice chuckled.

"I hope so." Raizo shrugged and chuckled back a little.

With the room being handled by Vermilion, I walked out to the hallway to notice Charlie and her group were already dangerously close to the door we had just breached. They all probably wanted to see what was inside too. After I caught them, all of them froze in place as they knew they weren't supposed to be there.

"¡Mierda!" Vaggie cursed.

"Uhhh…hey, Colonel…" Charlie grinned nervously with the others as they were caught.

"Seriously, guys?" I glared at each of them.

All of us returned downstairs as Niffty was left behind due to her instincts kicking in from the mess we had caused upstairs. While she was cleaning up, I led Charlie and the rest of the group down to the bar where I gave them a little bit of scolding for going up so dangerously close to where we breached. For all we know, the room would've been rigged with traps or explosives if our suspicious target was inside of there or didn't want anybody getting into his/her business. Fortunately, the room was all cleared of everything, based on Vermilion Squad. Additionally, this left me even more suspicious as to why the door's lock was altered and why the guest has not appeared outside of the room ever since. If they escaped out the window, that would be a bizarre decision as to why they did that in the first place. Unconvinced about the outcome of the search, I relayed a message to Charlie's father, Lucifer, about the room and its suspicious guest to mark it as a point of interest for the investigation going on. As expected, no immediate response but it at least went through.

Even though it was early for a drink, the bar was now open and lively with Me, Vermilion Squad, Charlie, and her friends, as Husk was behind the counter prepping drinks for all of us. Vaggie, admitting she was still a bit skeptical and annoyed about the existence of the hotel bar due to the purpose of Hazbin Hotel, reluctantly took the cocktail that was offered to her by Husk. As for Vermilion Squad, as I suspected from WarDogs like them, happily accepted the drinks just like Angel Dust. Charlie on the other hand requested a modest glass of aged wine. As for me, I ordered a cola soft drink with whiskey, which is my favorite liquor out of all the others available on tap.

"Way to go, team!" The heavily built orc demon of Vermilion Squad raised his massive glass mug of beer for his team members. Muscular, dark green skin, yellow eyes, noticeable tusks, and wearing only combat pants with a ballistic vest wrapped with a bandolier of bullets for his LMG. He also smelled strong of coffee, for some reason. Mainly coming from his backpack.

The squad member with the backpack radio and carrying the most explosives nodded and raised his shot of vodka. The one thing noticeable about him was that his veins were slightly glowing, and he had a cyclops eye. "Yeah. Just getting here and doing nothing before drinking. All in a day's work." He chuckled.

For the last Vermilion squad member I never met yet, he was carrying a backpack that contained medical equipment. He was a demon with goat legs and outward-curving horns with one wrapped in a bandage that was holding a loose piece. "Look on the bright side: it was an easy one."

Melodie rolled her eyes and chuckled while holding her Hellion Blood Cocktail, which I recognize has cognac mixed with cranberry and cherry juice with other ingredients of fruits and spices native to Hell. "You boys basically got the most boring part in this."

"Well, all we needed was our best breacher and our best farmer boy who knows a lot about close combat too." Raizo said while pointing at Melodie and Edgar. "Plus we had Glory Hound, which was more than enough."

"Now would be a good time to introduce yourselves, WarDogs." Melodie said.

The orc demon started off first by shaking my hand. "Where are my manners? Warrant Officer Derrick Windsor. Served in Hell's Royal Marines much longer than everyone else in this team before we became WarDogs." He said before raising his unloaded Hell made PAR-62 light machine gun. "And THIS is my girl. Don't tell my wife." He added.

"You're not second-in-command?" I asked when I noticed he had the second highest rank in the team. Melodie stated she was second-in-command even if she was outranked by him.

"That's not my thing. Mongrel handles that." Derrick pointed his thumb at Melodie, calling her by her callsign. "Plus, she has better leadership skills than I do. We work with whatever is more efficient."

The glowing cyclops demon moved up to me next and shook my hand after. "Staff Sergeant Jorge Mayakovsky. Been an expert on blowing shit up ever since I was in the Russian VDV back in 1996." He smiled.

"Demolition expert for that long, hmm? You must be good at your job then."

Jorge nodded and laughed. "A bad demolition expert wouldn't even be alive at this-…wait. Okay, maybe I did die in the VDV from explosives that weren't handled correctly. But that wasn't really my fault."

"No worries. The WarDogs are happy to have you!"

Lastly, the goat demon with the medic bag was the last one to shake my hand. "Nice to meet you, Colonel. Staff Sergeant Quaid Rohan. Medic."

My eyes noticed his chest had the 75th Ranger Regiment insignia next to the US Flag. "Huh. US Army Grunt, were you?"

"Yup. 2nd Ranger Battalion." He said his former unit when he was still alive. "You? Judging by the MP5, ex-humans usually aim for those requisitions."

I admit he did have some sharp eyes as I wasn't wearing my usual combat vest, which had the US flag and the logo of the Marine Raiders. "US MARSOC. Marine Raider Regiment." I answered.

"Hell yeah! Good to see a jarhead down here." He chuckled.

"Jeezus. I thought our military boys disbanded those two after the Japs and Krauts got their asses kicked." Angel Dust whistled.

"They were." I told him. "I guess they missed us."

"And watch what you say, Dusty." Quaid said. "Squad Lead might kick your ass if he's in a bad mood."

Raizo rolled his eyes and shrugged. "I don't care. That was the past. I have better things to use my energy on than deal with a porn star."

Niffty suddenly appeared out of nowhere, where she tilted her head over the counter. "You're Japanese? (Where are you from?)" She asked in Japanese.

"(Yes. I'm from the Aomori Prefecture.)" Raizo responded back in his native tongue.

"Ooooo~!" She stared up, intrigued. "Wait till I tell Alastor I met someone else who also speaks Japanese~!"

"Alastor? Eeuugh God…is he here too?" Jorge sighed as he looked around the bar. "He gets a little bit too close for comfort sometimes."

"We've noticed." Vaggie rolled her eye while leaning her head on her hand. "But don't worry about it. He's busy in his own place at the moment. Best to leave soon before he gets back though."

Raizo nodded and was just a quarter way from finishing his drink. "As soon as we finish our glasses, we'll head on out. Thanks for the free drinks, your highness."

"Anything for my WarDogs." Charlie smiled sweetly and bowed her head. "If you need anything else, just let me know. I'll be heading upstairs for a bit." She said while reaching for her pocket to pull out the Plutonian Magnum bullet from Ozren. "Plus, I need to find a place to put this. Too big for my pocket." She added while tipping it around the counter.

"You gonna finally use it on someone?" I joked again.

Charlie glared and clenched the round tightly while her face turned into a shade of red. "Colonel, I swear to God…"

I sighed and went closely to her ear to whisper, "Okay, seriously. You need to stop assuming that I think you'll use it like a sex toy."

*FLICK*

"OW!" I covered my forehead as I groaned from the much more painful flick than last time on the limo. "What the hell did I do?!"

"Hmph!" Charlie huffed and ignored me. She just got off her seat to head up the stairs.

Vaggie whistled and covered her chuckle a little while looking at my forehead. "She left a mark too."

"You're a wizard, Colonel…" Quaid joked and laughed along with Jorge, who understood that reference too.

I sighed and rubbed the spot even more. "Not funny, fellas…"

Raizo looked at me and pointed out that she left behind the bullet on the counter. "The Princess forgot about this thing. Looks like you're going to have to give that to her too."

With Charlie's mood right now, I don't think it was a good idea to go give it to her myself. I turned over to Vaggie and gave her a warm smile. "You're her girlfriend. Maybe she'll ease down to you more than she will to me."

She smirked and shook her head. "Nope. Sorry. Take responsibility and do it yourself."

Angel Dust gave a teasing grin and nudged my side. "Is the little doggy scared of the little ol' Charlie~?"

"Come on. Wouldn't you be scared if the Princess of Hell was pissed at you?" I glared.

"Heh. Touché." Angel Dust gave a wry smile and looked away. He grabbed the bullet and handed it over to me. "But enough about that. Be a good boy and return this to her. You might even get a treat." He smirked and wrapped his arms around my shoulder, having me getting rubbed against his furry chest. "Like me~!"

I awkwardly scooted away from his flirtatious moves. "Yeeeeah. I'll go as long as it's away from your advances…"

"Your loss, doggy."

Getting off my seat, I headed to the main lobby to walk up the stairs to find out where Charlie was. Unfortunately, it was going to be a lot harder than I realized as she never stated which floor and room she was staying in. Surely she has a personal room somewhere in this hotel. So, that's what I kept an eye out for. Due to being on the upper floor away from the chatter from the others, I used my ears to try and listen for footsteps and Charlie's voice. But one of the things I heard was that strange beeping again from the room we breached earlier. I just figured Niffty would handle whatever it was. Ignoring the room, I moved up to the next floor.

After walking up even more flights of stairs, I probably reached up to the top floor as looking outside the window showed how high I was with a pretty good view of some parts of Pentagram City. Another thing about this level was it was much more spacious and cleaner as if Niffty overcleaned the entire place. If Charlie was living in this hotel, no doubt this level would easily be her personal floor that has her room. Each door in this level was separated far from each other, showing how big each room was more bigger than the ones in the lower levels. But I was searching for one that easily stood out with Charlie's style to it. And there, I soon found it at the end of the right side of the hotel, having a gilded and beautifully crafted door with her name labeled on it.

Before I raised my hand to knock on the door, I stopped once I noticed it was still open. Then I started to hear Charlie's voice from inside while she was walking around. I was able to slightly have a peek inside through the crack and there she was. Not wearing her coat and was just in her blouse with suspenders while the rest of her remained the same. She was seemingly doing some breathing exercises while standing in front of her mirror, holding a small plastic container that was empty.

She cleared her throat and began to speak to herself at the mirror as if it was… "V-Vaggie…I wanted to talk to you about something. My heart has been yearning to tell you something ever since we started running this hotel together."

Looks like I was in the middle of her rehearsing something. Since she was unable to get a gift due to recent events, she was practicing using an empty box. Normally, I would just step away from the door due to this being an invasion of privacy. But something about her saying stuff like this kept my eyes and ears glued into her rehearsal. So, I stayed.

"We've been together for years and I don't think I would've gotten this far with you. All the obstacles we overcame, and the support we gave each other, and the love we cherished…" She smiled sweetly to herself. "…you always kept a shoulder for me to lay on…and…GAH! No!" She cringed hard on that sentence. "That's probably too much…"

Holy shit, this was both cute and hilarious… I suppressed myself from making any noise.

"Let's try this again." Charlie cleared her throat once again before placing her hands on her hips and winked at herself. "Hey, babe~!"

'OH FUCK!' I thought in my head while almost spilling my laughter.

She bit her lip and facepalmed herself after saying that. "I don't think she'll like me calling her that…Hmm…" She placed her finger on her shoulder and scanned her entire body. "Maybe if I…it wouldn't hurt to use some of my charm?"

Charm…?

Suddenly, Charlie began to remove her suspenders and unbutton her dress shirt slowly. She moved her bangs slightly out of her left eye and gave the most seductive bedroom eyes a woman could give. However, my senses were suddenly getting suspended and enticed to her as if she was using an unseen force of demonic magic while doing this. I was literally stuck staring at her in the mirror.

'Hold on…what the…?!' I froze as I suddenly pieced together what she was doing.

"Vaggie~, now that we're finally alone…" She smirked while tilting her head, "How about we have a rest on the bed for a bit while I talk about an important manner towards you, my love~…" Charlie said as she unbuttoned all of her buttons to reveal her black laced bra and her modestly sized bust.

'FUCK! I should NOT be watching this!...But I can't look away!' I thought and panicked as her demonic charm was unintentionally affecting me in the mirror even further.

At this point, Charlie was immersed and optimistic about her acting as she unfortunately kept this going. She moved one of the straps of her bra off her shoulder as this made that side dangerously close to falling off to reveal her boob. "Oh~? Don't worry about this. You'll be having them as soon as we finish talking~! So be a good girl and lay down…Ugh! Maybe it shouldn't be done that way." She snapped out of her flirtatious charm and put the bra strap back on along with buttoning her dress shirt.

Immediately when the demonic charm was halted, I sighed in relief as I was finally freed from watching it further.

Charlie sighed frustratingly and rubbed her temples as she was now fully dressed. "Why is it so much easier in your head than saying…it…?"

She froze still as both of our eyes met in the mirror. Now that I think about it, looking at myself, I did look kind of creepy peeping behind the crack of the door. My fight or flight senses kicked in and came to conclusion quickly. I immediately shut the door and attempted to make a break for it to avoid getting skinned by an already huffy Princess. Unfortunately, the door opened immediately after I closed it, getting grabbed by the collar of my uniform and dragged into the room by her.

I landed on my ass on the floor when she pushed me down, looking down at me with both an embarrassed and stern expression.

"YOU! H-H-How long have you been standing there?!" Charlie asked as her entire face turned red.

…Well, no use lying about it now.

"…I just got here." I said while averting my eyes away.

"BULLSHIT!" She shouted as she blocked the door completely, leaving me trapped. "I know you're lying to me with the way you stayed silent earlier…" She glared.

Jokes aside, having no other choice but to be honest with her, I exhausted out a small sigh and nodded. "Alright, you got me. I was looking for you earlier to give this back to you." I explained while handing over the Plutonian Magnum bullet.

She quickly snagged it from my hand and glared deeply into my eyes. "Then tell me the truth. How long have you been watching me?"

I cleared my throat and did my best impersonation of her voice. "V-Vaggie…I wanted to talk to you about something. My heart has been yearning to tell you something ever since-…"

"AHHHHHHHHH!" Charlie let out the most horrified scream. She covered her ears while doing that as a way to suppress the most embarrassing sentence she had to practice. "SO YOU WERE THERE SINCE THE BEGINNING!"

"Oh. So, I didn't miss anything." I chuckled nervously.

Charlie slammed her fist down the table while she released the bullet I gave back to her on the same spot where she hit. Letting out a loud sigh and looking up at me with a clearly false smile, a sudden chill was sent down my spine. "Let me tell you something, Colonel. It's rude to eavesdrop on others. Especially to your Princess~." She said while approaching me.

This was when my senses were going off even more as if danger was approaching me. I stepped back to maintain my distance as she wasn't letting up on her walking. "Your Highness…?"

"Now what would I do to you if you were to tell anybody about what you heard and witnessed~?" She said while still smiling. Her demonic horns were starting to form out of her head as her eyes started to turn completely red.

She was fucking pissed!

I forced a gulp down as I was slowly running out of room to step back to. "I can swear to you that I won't tell anybody!"

"That's what they always say!" Charlie shook her head and grinned, which was no longer that beautiful smile. But a more menacing one as her teeth were intimidatingly sharp! "I think an appropriate form of punishment should be done about this."

As soon as my back hit the wall, that was when she was now too close for comfort as I can feel the heat of her anger in her demonic form up to my face. "I-I just…" I stammered as I had no other ways or words to come up with to calm her down. Calming down a woman in this state was already impossible!

"So, Colonel. What's it gonna be~?"

"Can I say sorry?"

"Do it."

"I'M SORRY, YOUR HIGHNESS!" I said with my hands clasped together as if I was begging for forgiveness. This was the Princess of Hell! Who knows what would happen if I got punished!

Charlie raised an eyebrow and shook her head. "…..Nope. That's not enough. You deserve more punishment than that."

"WHAT?! You lied to me!"

"Did I say apologizing is going to get you out of this?"

"…Yes, you did."

"No, I didn't! Stop putting words in me!" Charlie glared as she was not going to be deceived that easily. "Why were you being such a peeping tom anyway instead of just knocking?"

"I was just-"

She went in a defensive stance as if I was about to attack her. "Waiting for the appropriate time to pounce on me?! What kind of Advisor would do that?!"

I was both disturbed and offended she would easily jump to that assumption. "Are you out of your mind? You know that I have a girlfriend!"

"Yeah? Well, I have a girlfriend too and yet you still peeped on me!" She yelled back.

"I didn't expect you to start undressing, alright?! Something was keeping me enticed towards you when you were practicing that lovey talk at the mirror while I stared at you on it. Did you use some sort of demonic charm or something? Because I REALLY couldn't look away…"

Charlie blushed and turned her head, meaning I was right on the money. "Okay, fine! I didn't mean to attract you with that. But you should've never kept peeping in the first place!"

"Alright, you got a good point too…" I blushed and looked away as well.

Both of us remained silent while awkwardly standing in front of each other but looking in the opposite directions. I mean, how the hell are we supposed to break the silence after what just happened? Not to mention that I almost saw her half naked while talking so seductively that trapped me into her charm. Overall, I still felt like the fault may have landed on me much more than her, since I didn't let her know about my presence and just peeped. With that, I turned my head back to her as she coincidentally turned her head to me at the same time.

"Sorry, Your Highness." I apologized as it seemed like the right thing to do. "I can assure you that I won't tell a single soul about it. What happens behind your door is your business and I don't have any reason to tell anybody. Plus, that's not who I am."

Charlie nodded and eased up a little bit from her demonic form. "I'm sorry too, Colonel. I got a little bit too careless for not closing the door properly and…yeah. Unintentionally effecting that ability on you when I should've noticed you." She sighed. "I…guess both of us were at fault in a way."

"You really don't have to balance out the faults between the both of us. It's mainly my fault. I can take it." I assured her.

"Regardless of that, just forget everything you just heard and saw, please!" Charlie said as her face was now back to being equally as red as Hell itself.

"That's easy for you to say!" I responded as it honestly wasn't going to be easy as she expected it to be.

"Looks like I'll have to resort to forcing it out of you…"

"Hey, come on! Don't hurt me! Violence is never the answer!" I stepped back quickly.

She raised an eyebrow at me and folded her arms. "That's an odd statement, coming from a WarDog."

"Listen, what happened just happened and there's no way I can permanently get it out of my head in an instant."

"Well, I have a proposal for you." Charlie stepped forward and gave me a serious look in her eyes before they lowered down to my torso, suspiciously. "You know the old saying 'An Eye for an Eye'? Well, how about you do-"

I instantly knew where she was getting at and declined. "No. I will not be half-naked in front of you."

"That's not fair!" Charlie whined.

"Life was never fair. Even in the afterlife."

"You saw my boobs while I was in my bra! The least you can do is pay me back for that!" She stomped her foot and tried to give me an intimidating glare again. But her embarrassment ruined it, only making her look so adorable.

"I…I didn't see anything…" I attempted to lie in order to avoid that part…

"Are you calling me flat-chested….?!" (╬◣﹏◢)

…but it was a bad idea.

"No! Okay, fine. If it makes you feel any better, you have a pretty perfect size. Is that be-"

"YOU DID SEE MY BOOBS THEN!"

"Look, let's just head downstairs and pretend this never happened. Okay?" I said, attempting to deescalate the situation.

Charlie huffed and folded her arms while still being pouty over this unfair exchange, according to her. But it seems like she at least finally caved in to avoid continuing this argument. "You still owe me then! As my Advisor, I'm sure you can come up with something…"

"Alright, alright. You got a deal then. I won't let you down" I sighed and just let out a small chuckle.

"Good…Thank you…" She eased up back to her normal self and form while heading to the door to open it. "Let's go downstairs. Be a good boy and keep quiet about all this." She tried to act tough about it by talking to me like I was an actual dog.

I nodded and chortled to myself when she said that. "This girl…"

Universe Trivia

WarDogs who were once affiliated with Earth's Military Forces or Countries tend to keep the flags or emblems on their vest, either with black lines crossing them or unaltered. The Flag for the Kingdom of Hell is on each side of their arms, near the shoulders. And the vocation patches and unit marks (Maritime, Counterterrorism, Sentinel/Defense, etc.) are usually on the chest as well. But the most noticeable accessory for the WarDogs is a loose, solid, and spiked dog collar that was chained and clipped near where the bullet plate is kept. This collar displays the wearers rank, name, and blood type.

For preferences, WarDogs; usually from Earth, are able to make a requisition for using Human-Made weapons (Colt Series Weapons, Remington Arms, Heckler & Koch, Kalashnikov Concern, FN Herstal, and many more.) WarDog Hellborns can also request this as well. But it is usually not as common compared to WarDog Sinners.
