A Case

For Blackmail

Part 2

Disclaimer: Its been a long while since this idea and I thought it was finally time to update it. That, and I'm trying to get back into the swing of things again.

Summary: Its a few years later and a certain figure from Wally's past crops up.

"Why hello there, Wallace! Good to see you again! And love the updated look by the way!" Greeted a voice that made Wally grimace while Barry looked at him in shock.

"Dude! She knows who you are!?"

"Well… If she didn't before, she does now. And didn't I tell you to disguise your voice when we came here?" Muttered Wally unhappily towards his protege, who winced under his cowl and made sure to disguise his voice.

Even if said protege was a few years older than him but whatever. "But the bad guys not knowing our secret identities is like Super Heroing 101, man!" Amunet giggled at the exclamation as Wally shot her a look.

Making her smile cutely at him as he found himself remembering how his Super Hero life in Blue Valley after her visit had gotten a little on the difficult side as he had become unsure of who to go after in Crime Circles. Something that Residents and Law Enforcement had been none too happy about and only grudgingly accepted his explanation when he finally explained what was up. "Yes, well, my little darling in Red, we 'bad guys' can be just as smart as you. Isn't that right, Wallace?"

"Yeah… That's right." Gritted out the yellow and red clad Speedster.

"Do… Do I wanna know?"

Amunet tittered. "Oh, just a little blackmail is all, my boy. Which worked wonderfully by the way."

"So wonderful I didn't know you had left the area until five years later."

And now, here she is in his life, again. Just what he needed. The Crime Lord giggled. "Perhaps still one of my best ideas to this day, my boy. Now, what brings you two to my neck of the woods? As something tells me its not to have some fun or work for me."

"Yeah, that'll never happen, lady." Barry told her adamantly and Amunet couldn't help but roll her eyes at him as Wally dug out a photograph.

"We're lookin' for this guy that works for you, Black. Word is, he's looking to sell some next-gen tech that can potentially turn every water source in a 10 mile radius into toxic sludge."

Amunet frowned at the picture. "Well, that's something Gerry certainly never thought to include me in on. How rude. But really, Wallace, what's in it for me? Informing on one of my own, even if he is being rude to not include me, is most certainly a no no in my circles as you well know by now."

Wally frowned at her beneath his mask but Barry beat him to the punch. "Your freedom for one as we know where you are now and can get you in a cell quicker than you can blink. For another, do you really want to deal with toxic water? As I'm pretty sure importing it from out of town is money even you don't want to spend if you don't have too."

"Hmm… I suppose you have a point there, Mr. Red, but still, those options hardly make me want to rat out dear Gerry." She had a damn good Lawyer after all and given how careful she's been, it would be rather difficult to pin anything concrete on her.

Sighing, Wally realized he was gonna have to do something big to get her to tell them any information about Gerry. And he didn't like it one bit but they had little choice in the matter as that tech could NOT be gotten into even worse hands than Gerry's. "We, we'll look the other way on ONE job you and yours do, Black."

Two pairs of surprised expressions gave him all their attention after that. "Dude! You can't be serious!"

"Disguise your voice! And yes, I am serious. I don't like it anymore than you do." Wally told his protege as Amunet laughed delightedly while clapping her hands.

"Look the other way on at least three and you have a deal, my boy." She countered, knowing he wouldn't be foolish enough to try and argue with her.

Not when she essentially had all the cards here. Sighing heavily, Wally agreed to the deal much to Barry's shocked dismay and tried to protest it but Wally's glare silenced him. Letting out a delighted squeal, Amunet reached out her hand to Wally, who begrudgingly shook it. "Now that we've made a deal, here is the information you need. Try not to let on to dear Gerry that I told you lovely boys where to find him, yeah?" Requested the Crime Lord as she wrote down some information on the back of the photograph before handing it back to Wally.

"Yeah… Deal." Sighed Wally and with that, the two Speedsters were gone.

"Well, that was exhilerating! But suppose I should get to packing to be on the safe side! Pity, I rather liked basing myself out of this old Skate Park. Norvok! Get the others, we're packing up!"

And once she had relocated, perhaps she'd do to dear Wallace's fellow Speedster as she'd once done to him. The thought of that sent a thrill of excitement down her back!
