Chapter 17: Moving Day, Settled and Satisfied
Courtney's POV
Saturday
9:00am
With a black marker I was writing on another taped box " Serenity's toys " looking around the empty room aside from other boxes that were going to get picked up momentarily.
Sighing heavily I walk out of the room and go around my former apartment to double check nothing was left behind.
It's been quite the week after what happened to the complex, when I started searching for a new place Duncan got involved with the search. I know we couldn't stay with him even though his Loft was nice it wasn't big enough for all of us.
I had to admit it was pleasant staying together, it was like we were a family. Seeing one another in the mornings, going to work or school and even having meals together was really enjoyable. Serenity really liked having that extra quality time with her dad.
Being the organized and planned out person I am I set a budget for everything. When we found or should I say what Duncan found was a bit out of what I had hoped but all Duncan wanted was for us to be safe and as long as nothing bad happened in our new building then to him cost didn't matter. He wanted the best for us.
Our new home was a nice building with a secured entrance all residents needed fobs to enter and there was security cameras. The apartment looked more like a townhouse than what I had been living in these past 3 years.
But I'll admit it had what we needed 2 bedrooms, hardwood floors all throughout the apartment, a ( bigger ) kitchen with new kitchen appliances, living room, very spacious, a washer/dryer ( being a bonus ) and a balcony. Also it was closer distance to Serenity's school as well as to the college.
Once Duncan had signed all the paperwork and gave both the deposit with the first months rent it was settled.
I asked both Bridgette and Gwen if they could help me pack everything from my current apartment which thankfully didn't take long. Throughout the time they were asking if Duncan and I were back together which only made my face go red and I would simply answer " we're still figuring things out ".
They both would look at one another with a smile as if to say " they're together " only to make me shake my head.
Just as I was about to walk into the living I see my couch, " coming through " said Geoff holding one side " watch out " says Trent holding the other side as they walk towards the door to load the couch on the moving truck we rented. Just as I was about to go DJ comes carrying the arm chair " oops sorry Courtney " he says nervously " it's okay " I reply smiling.
I really had great appreciation who was helping with the move. Aside from Duncan there was Bridgette, Geoff, DJ, Gwen and Trent that were here.
" Alright the last boxes are packed and labeled " I announce once again walking to the living room where Gwen and Bridgette are picking up a box " that's good " Gwen replies smiling " again I appreciate all the help guys " I said grinning.
" Of course plus at least now your both are going somewhere safer " replies Bridgette walking towards the door " a new start " adds Gwen following Bridgette.
I pick up a box myself and go to the door as I was stepping out Duncan was coming " is everything packed now? " he asks " yes in the bedrooms, bathroom and there still the mattresses " I answer watching him walk in before I make my way to the truck.
1 Hour Later
Shutting and securing the back of the moving van, " alright good to go " said Duncan double checking to lock it " yeah team work " cheered DJ raising his hands up to the air along with the rest of us.
Looking back at the apartment I was feeling a lump in my throat from the emotions I was feeling, " hey wanna take one last look? " asks Bridgette rubbing my back " yeah " I breathed trying not to cry in front of everyone " go ahead " said Bridgette encouraging me.
Opening the door I walk in looking around at everything and recalling all the memories that were here. Serenity was about to turn a year old when we moved in, for awhile we had nothing but the clothes on our backs and we were living off welfare which didn't give much. But even so we still had happy memories here.
I was so deep in my memories that I didn't feel warm hands on my shoulders, " hey you okay? " asks Duncan looking at me " yeah just thinking of all the memories " I answer before walking down the hallway.
" I can imagine " sighs Duncan following me " it was so hard but then once it started looking like a home it got a little better " I explain holding my arms as I walk into Serenity's bedroom my eyes scanning everywhere but when I see the board on her window I shudder. " Her screaming for me that night Duncan is something I can't forget " I breath turning my back away from it.
Duncan wraps his arms around me tight " it's okay don't think about it anymore " he whispers into my ear causing a chill a to go up my spine " what matters is your both safe " he adds turning my face to him.
Feeling my heart racing I get out of his grasp " We should get going the sooner we get everything there the sooner I can start getting organized " I breath walking to the door only to get my wrist grabbed " is it really that or is it you get nervous when we're alone? Duncan asks making my eyes widen " we just got lots to do before we pick up Serenity tomorrow from your moms " I quickly answer looking back at him.
After locking the front door and saying my farewells we all headed out. Aside from the moving van which Duncan drove with DJ and Trent, meanwhile myself, Gwen and Bridgette were in the mini van that was owned by Trent and Gwen. While Geoff followed behind us with his Jeep.
I was sitting in the passenger seat with Gwen in the front my mind was thinking what Duncan asked me and the answer was a bit of both...
We figured that it would take us the weekend to get everything packed and ready to get to the new place, so I asked Melinda ( Duncan's mom ) if she would watch Serenity for the weekend without any hesitation she gladly said yes. Any chance to spend time with her granddaughter always brought her happiness especially since she's the only girl. Duncan and I brought her over Friday after school where Serenity happily ran to grandma with open arms.
My leg were currently shaking thinking about being left alone with Duncan I mean we have been alone before but how is it that there could be so much sexual tension between us, even while we were together for the week it was there and the way he would look at me was enough to get my temperature through the roof. There's no way after all this time I could possible want to...
" Hey you been in a state of thinking since we left " said Gwen eyeing me for a second while driving " oh have I ? " I ask looking at Gwen nervous " something is going on " Bridgette says from the back seat...
Was I that obvious? Oh god!!! Please don't ask me more questions!!!!
Duncan's POV
Unable to stop smiling for reasons I couldn't explain. I look at the side view mirror to see Trents mini van behind us knowing Courtney was most likely having that deep thinking moment she has when something is on her mind.
It probably was bad of me to have been the cause of it but how could I not resist since our kiss on the dance floor on Halloween and that intense make out session we had on the kitchen counter a few weeks before, but it got cut short by our daughter walking into the room.
And being so close to her this week was torture there wasn't a moment during the day where I didn't think of grabbing her for a make out session or maybe even some sex...as long as Serenity wasn't around but knowing Courtney she would most likely get upset at me for even thinking or trying with the chance of Serenity seeing us. I was aching to have Courtney and I could tell she was aching too, what I would do to HAVE her again.
" That's quite the big smile on your face " said Trent looking at me " just thinking of something...dumb " I answered trying to not make it look obvious to the guys how horny I was " you and Courtney were in the apartment for quite awhile you sure everything is okay? " asks DJ making Trent look at him momentarily before turning back to look at me with both eye brows up " dude did you guys..." before Trent finished the rest " no we didn't but there's been some tension between us " I answer focusing on the road.
Sighing heavily I glance back at the side view mirror seeing the mini van again " so when you say tension do you mean sexual? " asks Trent making DJs eyes open up " yes " I answered in a plain voice...
20 Minutes Later
We arrived at the new apartment pretty quick it was a good thing we did this early and not later in the day since traffic gets bad on the weekends.
" Wow this is nice " says Geoff looking at the building " yeah you and Serenity will definitely be safe here " said Gwen admiring the area as I pulled up the back of the moving van.
" Alright let's get this stuff inside " announced Courtney looking inside van " so boxes first? " I asked trying to make decent conversation " yeah then once all the boxes are inside the the furniture, beds and mattresses " answered Courtney reaching for the first box " actually the door has to go get opened why don't you go do that " I suggested grabbing the first box " okay I'll go do that " she says before walking to the entrance.
I turn around to see everyone either smiling, nodding or trying to not laugh, " just start grabbing boxes " I said ignoring them " sure thing " teased Bridgette before giggling only to make my eyes roll...
7:00pm
It was a big job that took all day but we got everything out of the van and into the apartment, some of the other stuff got put in storage but it was a relief that it was done. While the girls unpacked boxes for the kitchen, bathroom and living room; myself and the guys put together the beds then put the mattresses back on.
Courtney said she would organize the dresses and put away the clothes tomorrow. Once everything was done all the boxes got tossed out for recycling. It was well worth it to help get Courtney settled quicker instead of weeks of organizing everything plus with school on her shoulders she needed all the help she could get.
Awhile after we all were starving and ordered take out. During dinner we all just had a good time together and enjoying one another's company, Gwen and Trent were the first to go since they had to go pickup Louis who was currently being watched by Gwens brother who sometimes uses his nephew as a way to get dates which wasn't okay with Gwen but it made Trent laugh.
Then afterwards DJ, Bridgette and Geoff left leaving only myself and Courtney sitting at the table.
" What a day its been " sighs Courtney looking around the apartment " yeah but its done and over with now it's just the little things " I said staring at my empty takeout container.
Sighing heavily Courtney stands up from the table gathering her own and my container " hey don't just sit down and chill " I say stopping what she was doing " it's okay I got a little bit of energy before everything shuts down " she answers smiling at me before walking to the kitchen to throw everything in the garbage " I think Serenity will like it here " says Courtney from the kitchen.
" I think so too it's nice, spacious and warm " I answer while rubbing my shoulder that was feeling soar due to all the lifting and carrying " maybe it will take her a few days to adjust but she'll like it...do you like it? " I asked looking at Courtney who was returning to the table with a wet towel in hand.
" I do actually it's very comfortable and I agree with you it being warm " answered Courtney walking over to the table followed by wiping the surface but as she leaned forward I could actually see her cleavage " hello I haven't seen those in a long time " I thought to myself quickly picking up my can of Pepsi to hide my smile, they still looked amazing.
I was so distracted by what I was focused on I didn't hear Courtney talking to me" Duncan...Duncan can you hear me? " Courtney asked lightly shaking my shoulder " yeah what's up " I answer looking up to look up at her face instead of her breasts " I was saying I'm gonna go fix Serenity's room " says Courtney looking worried at me " if your tired you can lay on the couch or on my bed if you want " she explains hearing the offer of resting on her bed made my eyes open.
" Come on dude don't be a dog and take it easy " I told myself and another part of mine that was starting to make my pants tight " thank you but how about I set up your TV and other electronics " I said looking at her TV, dvd player and stereo that was currently boxed " plus we both know a certain someone is gonna wanna watch her favourite movie right away " I explained smiling knowing Serenity.
Laughing like an angel " oh my goodness your right she will I hope your parents aren't bored of watching beauty and the beast just yet" replies Courtney only picturing what could be going on at my parents house " well I've been lucky to seen it once " I laugh before standing up to go over to the living room to start working on the set up.
8:30pm
" Okay last connection " I said speaking out loud while putting in the last plug into the multi plugin, getting up I grab the remote control pressing the power button instantly turns on the TV, then I check to make sure the dvd player works which also does " alright it all works " I breath turning everything off before going to let Courtney know.
I go to Serenity's room first to see that it's already organized and the empty boxes piled in the corner " wow looks good " I said before going to Courtney's room where I find her taking sheets out of a box " hey I just finished " I explain getting her attention " thank you I really appreciate it Duncan " she answers unfolding the sheet " no problem babe do you need help with that " I offer pointing at the sheet " I'm good " Courtney replies but I hear a little quiver in her voice along with not making eye contact with me.
Licking my lip I decide to say something that would probably either get me kicked in the nuts or asked to leave. Crossing my arms over my chest leaning my shoulder against the door frame " when was the last time you got laid? " I asked like as if it was nothing. Looking at me directly Courtney looked beyond shocked at me like as though I was crazy " what...w-what did you just ask me? " she stutters dropping the sheet to the ground " you heard what I asked " I sighed keeping a straight face.
Putting her hands on her hips still looking surprised " your not gonna let this go til I give you an answer? " asks Courtney looking into my eyes " nope " I answer shaking my head along with grinning " I can't believe you just asked me that " she answered nervously walking to the end of her bed then leans against it " I'll admit for me its been since the last time we were together on that rainy day when we were alone at your..." I stop talking then look at Courtney who was pressing her lips and gripping her mattress " house? " I finish standing straight.
" Dating or sex hasn't really been on my mind after having Serenity " explained Courtney nervously " thats why I said I thought you would of forgotten me because maybe you were with someone else " not wanting to listen to anything else she was saying I go up to Courtney and press my lips hard on hers.
Using my weight to push her down to the bed she tried pushing me away, using my left hand I hold her chin to open mouth then slide my tongue into her mouth so that I can rub it against hers slowly making her stop resisting and starts doing back to me.
Parting a from her lips briefly I breath heavily catching my breath as well as her my fingers still holding her chin " don't ever think I'd ever replace you " I breathed looking into her eyes " okay " she exhales wrapping her arms around my neck before pressing her lips onto mine again.
Normal POV
( AN: Lime warning )
Duncans hands traced out Courtney's body form and even though he was all to familiar with it Duncan still knew how incredible it was. From how lean it was, to how great her legs were and lastly her curves that still gave her that hot hourglass figure that drove him crazy. One of Courtney's hands was sliding into Duncan's hair along with pressing him closer.
He hold her legs and wrap them around his waist, releasing his lips from hers Duncan moves his way down to her neck kissing a certain area that would always make her weak " Oooooh Duncan " gasps Courtney leaning her head, " thats it baby say my name " Duncan whispers looking up to see her in a state of ecstasy " want me to keep going? " he asks reaching for the bottom of her shirt.
Courtney lifts her head to look at Duncan trying to catch her breath waiting to know her answer " I do but it's... " she starts looking shy " can you turn the lights off " said Courtney looking at the lamp only to make Duncan raise an eyebrow " why? ' he asks curiously.
Sighing heavily Courtney sits up while Duncan sits on the bed, suddenly Courtney takes her shirt off which only made Duncan smile seeing her breasts bigger and plumper in her black bra " alright I like what I'm seeing " said Duncan leaning back on the mattress. Rolling her eyes Courtney shakes her head " just shut up " she replies blushing then takes a deep breath before grabbing the buttons of her jeans " I'm disgusting okay " she adds as Duncan sits up " what is it cause all I see is perfection " he says not understanding what she was talking about.
Unbuttoning the buttons Courtney pulls back the folds along with slightly pulling down the front of her underwear on her abdomen to reveal faint stretch marks on the sides and center, " after having Serenity my body isn't what it use to be " answered Courtney gazing down at her marks while Duncan stares at the area waiting for him to say something.
Not answering Duncan stood up and unzips his hoodie " what are you doing? "Courtney asks watching him " if were showing things then I got something to show you " he answers grabbing the bottom of his shirt revealing his toned built body making Courtney blush seeing him...
" God he's definitely something to look at " thought Courtney in her mind pressing her legs together feeling herself get wet watching Duncan take his shirt off, " just breath just breath " she adds trying to maintain herself but it only got more intense Duncan then started unbuckling his belt and undoing his jeans " oh god kill me now " pressing her lips tight but then notices something on the front of his right thigh and lower part of his left leg.
Once Duncan got down to only his black boxers he looks up at Courtney " don't freak out " he breathes pointing down " these are from getting stabbed with a screwdriver " he explains pointing at the 2 inch scar on his thigh and leg then turning his back to her " and those are from a metal shank " Duncan adds showing two 3 inch scars on his left shoulder inches away from one another and the last one was a one inch scar on the far lower side of his back.
Courtney went up to Duncan looking closely at his scars carefully bringing her hand up she lightly touches them " I can't believe what you went through Duncan " she responds before speaking again " I shouldn't complain about mine then " resting her head on his back.
Turning his head back to look at Courtney he turns around to face her momentarily Duncan kisses Courtney once again before working his way down her body along with pulling her jeans down leaving her only in her bra and underwear, kneeling in front her Duncan brings his hand up and traces her scars " these scars are just proof of the life we made don't ever say your disgusting " he whispers looking up at Courtney he kisses her stomach.
After a moment Duncan stands up and lifts Courtney up by her thighs then goes to the bed and lays her on the pillows climbing on top of her Duncan caresses her face, " your skin is just as soft as I remember " he whispers leaning into her neck using only his tongue to slide down to her cleavage. Courtney arched her back along with sliding her bottom lip between teeth trying not to her moan under control, Duncans wet tongue was currently sliding over her breasts and going lower.
" Wait " breathes Courtney resting on her arms. Duncan looks up to her " are you okay? " he asks coming to her side " um..I..I..I'm nervous " says Courtney in a shaken tone of voice " there's nothing wrong with that " says Duncan smiling " we don't have to go all the way tonight I wanna respect you " he adds laying on his side beside her.
Taking a deep breath " I'm sorry I want to but I don't know what's wrong with me " Courtney explains looking at Duncan " don't worry babe it happens " said Duncan wrapping his arms around her along with there legs getting entangled. Duncan rests his head on the same pillow Courtney is resting on, " this is nice " she replies slowly caressing Duncan's arm " yeah it is especially when I got to see your body again " answered Duncan kissing her shoulder only to hear Courtney giggle.
" I know there's been a lot of sexual tension between us lately " she said looking at Duncan " lately all week is more like it babe I was close to taking you at any moment " confessed Duncan smiling mischievously " you animal " laughed Courtney running her hand through his hair " but I held back on the count of a certain toddler we have around " he sighed looking to the side " oh I just remembered wasn't our date tonight? " she asks meeting eyes with Duncan making him realize that he forgot as well " shit...I forgot too damn it " he replies leaning backwards on the bed post.
Sitting up looking at Duncan with a worried expression Courtney tries comforting him " hey its okay we got distracted with things don't blame yourself " she says putting her hand on his shoulder " yeah I guess we can always try again " Duncan answers picking up her hand from his shoulder " I promise to make a night to remember " he adds before kissing Courtneys hand making her blush.
Awhile after they called it a night and spent the night in the new apartment, sleeping in each others arms.
AN: Okay so I wasn't sure to have some " M " content involved which is why I mentioned in the beginning lime/lemon. But hopefully it's still enjoyed. Let me know what you think.
