During the run through the ruined forest, I was fairly afraid that I would be caught after everything I'd experienced.
How bad the situation was proved to me again when I saw a police helicopter over me in mid-air.
People would normally expect that after what happened, at least I'd have a chance to finally lead a normal life. It broke my heart to tell Toby's grandmother that her grandson and my friend is dead, too. But, I'm shaken and I'm an outlaw.
I couldn't run to hide into the former Heartstone Trollmarket, the empty and destroyed market was taken over by the military and the federal government.
All of a sudden I felt a hand pull me quickly out of the way I was running. Within a second, I was in a completely different place. It looked like I was underground, but there was light and warmth.
"Claire, I'm happy to see you again." I said when I saw my girlfriend's face.
I just standed up, I was hugged. First by Claire, she kissed me, next I was hugged by the rest of the gang who survived the massacre.
"Master Jim, It's good to see you, my boy. Despite everything that's happened, you've done great as an appretince."
"Thanks Blinky," I said.
"Aarrgghh misses Wingman." I heard Aarrgghh saying as he hugged all of us in a large hug.
"We all..." I said "We all.."
The hug ended and I first decided to find out what was going on before I shared my sad emotions.
I was also hugged by Steve and Eli. Since the chaos started, they became Creepslayerz literally because they were dressed and armed like a militiamen with the symbol of Creepslayerz on their bulletproof vest and helmet.
"Where you get these?" I asked them.
"When we should have escaped from the camp, Eli had an amazing idea of stealing some military gear and I don't regret it." Steve said.
"It seems like a stupid thing to keep us away from military equipment when I know how they're going to hunt us. Plus, the U.S. Constitution allows regulated militias." Eli explained.
"Douxie, how you're doing?" I tried to ask calmly Douxie who was still holding grief after Nari's death, pretty much like Aarrgghh after Toby died.
"I've moved into the genre to express how I feel. From heavy metal to black metal. I wanted to do a joint project with Claire's friends, but the police stopped me at a music store.." He said with an emotionless voice. I could tell from his voice alone that he was sad and angry.
"Claire, are your parents and Enrique in safety?" I then turned at Claire and asked her.
She turned at Blinky and Aarrgghh and said: "Thanks to the Blinky and Aarrgghh I could hide my family at the closest Trollmarket. Parents don't quite know what's going on yet, but they don't object. It was hard to explain them they have to hide from the Secret Service."
I looked around a bit more and was surprised at how technically equipped the room was. It looked a little bit like an intelligence headquarters as I'd seen in the movies, but understandably extraterrestrial
I immediately went to Krel.
"Hi Jim," He said sitting at the computer and he turned at me "I heard about what's going on, where do you need help?"
"Could you hack into government servers, look for FBI and CIA files, and find why they're after all of us?"
Krel turned in his human form and immediately started tapping. After a moment, he froze.
"Damn it," He said and I looked at the screen "I can't access it."
"You would be able to normally hack it right?" I asked.
"Yes, because information technology on the Earth is primitive compared to the one at Akiridion-5. You don't even have to be an IT expert to do a DDoS attack, you just have to use an app or a page. These are even more primitive things, just like SQL injections or botnets. The government probably used the stolen tech, I see, and that's why I couldn't get there."
He then looked at the message from his sister.
"Aya, wants to visit Earth again and offers asylum to all of you and your families at Akiridion-5. Varvatos will arrive with her too."
Everyone then went to me and Krel, looking at the screen when Krel at the end found something different, but related to the what was happening right now.
"Aleister Crowley? Order of 9 Angles? Church of Satan? Gerald Gardner? Thule? Nazi occultism?" Krel said, sounding confused.
"Guys, here's the follow-up." Claire said "According to what I heard when I became a part of the team, The occult was used by the secret services during both world wars. Aleister Crowley used to work for the British Secret Service. I learned it from Eli who's into conspiracy theories."
"That would explain why so many are after all of us and trolls." I said.
"Do you have a plan Master Jim?" Blinky asked.
I started looking at my friends "Running is not the answer. There's been corruption like this before, and I need to find out whose target this is."
"Wise words." Blinky added.
I looked all over the base again and I asked "Where is Stuart?"
"He had to close up shop to avoid falling into captivity again, hasn't heard from him since." Douxie added.
"The technology needed is here. What would you say on the infiltrating Pentagon?"
I decided to act happier before I tell Claire what happened to my mom.
