Sobbing, Gaara wrapped his thin arms around Lee. "I d-don't want you t-to leave!" he cried. Sighing, Lee held Gaara to his chest and rocked him slowly, like a child. "Shh...Gaara. It's okay. We'll be together soon enough!" he cooed. This was one of the many reasons Gaara fell in love with Lee. Lee often treated him like a child, like a son, and that's what Gaara needed. To feel that he was loved. He looked up at Lee with big, shining, emerald eyes. "You p-promise?" he whimpered, burying his face in Lee's neck. Slowly, Lee moved his lips to Gaara's ear. "I promise." he whispered. He smiled softly as Gaara trembled in his arms. He would be back...he would come back to Sunagakure with a proposal for his panda bear.

"Lee-chan! Y-you came back!" A month later, Lee traveled back to Sunagakure. Smiling, he hugged the much smaller boy to his chest. "I would never lie to you, Gaara." Letting Gaara go, he dropped onto one knee in front of him. At this motion, Gaara gasped. "Gaara, my sweet, gentle, beautiful love..." he reached into the chest pocket if his vest, and pulled out a glistening diamond and saphire ring. Taking Gaara's hand in his, he slipped the ring on Gaara's petite, feminine finger. " I want to spend the rest of my life with you, If you'll have me..." Lee whispered. The look on Gaara's face was one of shock, and at this Lee began to cry. " Please...G-Gaara...o-oh..never mind...I-I was stupid to th-think you'd want to m-marry m-me...but you can keep the r-ring, koi...I w-want you to have it...i-it was my mothers..." Smiling, despite his feeling of rejection, he lifted his head, to see that Gaara was crying, too. " W-Whats wrong, p-panda bear?" He asked, letting go of Gaara's hand. "If you d-don't want to see m-me...I'll g-go..."
"LEE! Lee! I-I love you, Lee! Y-Yes I want to marry you!" He wrapped his arms around Lee. " I want to to live the rest of my life with you! I want to wake up next to you every morning! I want raise children and grow old with you! I love you!"
"G-Gaara! Gaara..." Lee sat down and pulled Gaara into his lap. Gaara smiled as Lee began to rock him back and forth, whispering those caring, sweet nothings into his ear.
