She bit her lip. "I wish I could tell you Hermione. I really do, but this is the one thing in the world that belongs to me and only me," Ginny Weasley explained to her best friend, Hermione Granger.

"I just don't understand," Hermione shook her head, "We tell each other everything and this is so important. I just caught you sneaking out at three in the morning. And at a time like this? Do you realize how dangerous this is? There are death eaters everywhere!"

"Well, the Burrow is so protected that I thought-"

"No, you weren't thinking at all! You could be killed! Now tell me, why were you sneaking out?"

"Hermione," Ginny furrowed her brow, "you're not my mother so stop it! Gods, I tell you everything and all I want is to keep this one thing close to my heart and not tell anyone. I know if I told you, Ron- or worse- Harry would find out."

"Why would it be worse if Harry found out?"

"Because he broke up with me to protect me. He also figured that I'd wait for him," she stared at the floor, not wanting to see the look on Hermione's face.

Hermione just shook her head, "If you aren't back in twenty minutes, I'm waking your brothers up. All of them."

"Don't worry, I promise. I just need to do one thing." And with that Ginny ran out of the back door and towards the wooded area behind her family's vegetable patch. She reached a small clearing and waited patiently. Behind her, she heard a twig snap and whipped her head around. "Dr-" she began to call but a hand enveloped her mouth.

"Shhh, it's me," whispered a deep voice from behind.

Ginny turned to look him in the eye, "I knew you would come," she smiled shyly. "It's been so long but I had to see you. I believe you. I just want you to know that," She reached up to touch his face, "If anybody knew that you were here though..."

"I'll risk it."

"We need to find a new place to meet, far away from everyone. They're out for blood, love. I couldn't even tell Hermione. She would never understand and she already suspects something She woke up and caught me as I was trying to leave. The last thing I would do is tell her though because everybody thinks you're the one who-"

The bushes rustled, causing Ginny to cut her sentence short. She felt him pull out his wand and tense up. He pushed Ginny behind him to protect her from whoever was behind those bushes. "Who's there?" he called out quietly. "Reveal yourself or I'll hex you!" Out of the bushes stumbled an angered Hermione.

"Gods, Ginny! Draco? Draco Malfoy? You snuck off to be with a traitor ferret! He killed Dumbledore!" The look of disgust on her face was so prominent that Ginny started to cry. "I can't believe it. Of all people, I would think you would stay loyal to us!" She started to backtrack towards the house.

"No, Hermione. That's not it at all. Please, I'll explain everything to you-" Ginny started to chase after her friend but Draco grabbed the back of her shirt.

"Let her go, we have to get out of here. I'm a traitor, you're a traitor, we have to get away. No one will understand."

"But Draco, my family-"

"I'm the only thing you have now. Ginny," he said with a look of pleading, "Hermione is in the process of waking up a horde of people who're out for my blood. And she's going to tell them that you've turned against them to be with me so they'll be out to get you and lock you up. Do you really want that?"

"No but-"

"Then let's go! Please, love!" he started to drag her deeper into the woods, away from the Burrow.

"I- okay but we have to go another way, they'll find us in no time if we keep going in this direction. I know how to get out of here faster and safer." She took a sharp left off of the beaten path and into a thick patch of trees with the one person she loved and never looked back.
