Jean remembered everything that had happened, she was playing with her friends when the ball went to the road she saw that cassy was following after the ball so she tried to stop her, she remembered ben saying that it was dangerous to go on the road without looking out for cars, so she ran after her best friend.
"cassy wait, no don't" she yelled after her as she tried to catch up to her but she was too athletic that jean couldn't reach her till she was right in the middle of the road.
She stopped and looked at her angry 'that idiot don't she know that it's dangerous to run to the road like that'.
She looked ben, honestly she felt jealous of him when she first met him, he got to live with her best friend and in the same room, he could talk to her all day, she was afraid that he will steal her best friend from her, cassy always wanted him to be with them and talked about him all the time, she really started to get annoyed with him.
But with time she got to know him and found out that ben was a good friend that she too started to like him, he was caring, and kind to her and always shared everything with her and cassy and never got too angry at her.
And now she could say with confidence that ben was her best friend…after cassy.
She then looked back to cassy and spotted a car moving towards her.
Seeing that she ran to her best friend and started yelling "CASSY, LOOK OUT".
Cassy looked behind her and saw the car, her eyes widened and the ball slipped out of her hand.
She took a step back and tripped and fell.
It was the ball which came behind her after hitting the wall.
Jean got to her and picked her up but by then it was too late the car was only a few meters away from them, they both closed their eyes and hugged each other and waited for the pain but then something slammed into them and pushed them to the side.
They both opened their eyes and saw ben's desperate face as his arm was still stretched forward at them, they caught a relived expression on his face before they saw the car slam into ben.
"THUD".
"SCREECH".
"SPLASH".
They both could only look with horror on their face as ben's body slid to a stop leaving a trail of blood.
"no ben!" she heard cassy's voice filled with terror.
They ran to ben and she kneeled near ben that was when she felt it for the first time. She felt cold all over it was like all the heat was leaving her body, it was like she waslosing her soul, it felt like she was dying.
'is this the end' she heard 'I can see cassy so I guess that she is fine thank god'.
Then she got blurry vision then she saw herself her face was pale and was filled with tears but strangely she was not moving her expression was frozen to that of shock.
'she is fine too' she heard that familiar voice 'well at least she is fine too, it would be a pity if such a cute and pretty girl disappears from this world'. Then she realized that it was ben's voice she could hear, him feel him.
She was then filled with an overwhelming sense of happiness and relief then she felt pain in all parts of her body she felt like she was dying, no ben was dying figuring that out she yelled.
"BEN! No" she hugged him she could hear cassy and someone else yelling to her but she didn't care she was going to lose ben and she was not ready for that, she couldn't lose him.
"ben!" she yelled but suddenly she froze and was hit with all the pain he was feeling and then she felt like her soul left her body and she blacked out.
She opened her eyes and saw the bald man smiling at her.
"you have a very good friend" he said "there are not that many people like that one".
He leaned forward "keep him close" he smiled at her maybe that ben fellow might help her see that humanity is not all that bad, right now she is a child so how she will be in the future will depend on how she sees the world and from what he had seen from jean's memories that ben fellow was kind and compassionate but very reckless, a bit immature, a little cocky and childish but a kind and helpful person, being around someone like that will help her not to stray from path of good.
"mmm" she nodded Xavier smiled at her.
"so how are you feeling" he asked.
While she didn't responded Xavier cold tell that she was a bit better.
"well at least there is progress" he said "how about you go and talk to your friend cassy".
"I don't want to" she said.
He smiled at her "it's all right, ok?" he said "she didn't blame you for anything that had happened".
She looked at him.
Just like that they talked a bit.
Two weeks later ben was released from the hospital.
"FINALLY" ben yelled on top of his lungs "watch out universe cause ben Tennyson is out and frEEEEEEE1!".
"not so fast champ" ben's dad said "you're still in a wheelchair, till then you ant going anywhere".
"did you had to remind me that" ben said looking at his father, deadpan "after half a month I get out and you had to throe salt on my wound".
"well at least you can be home" his mom said "you can spend more time with your friends".
Ben nodded.
"see you should learn from mom" ben looked at his dad "she always sees bright side".
"and that's why I married her" he said and kissed her.
"ewee" ben said "really ever heard of TIME AND PLACE?".
"I have and thee is another thing called mood".
Ben's eye twitched 'whatever you can't win against someone who practically raised you' ben thought.

Ben was sitting in his room reading comic that's what he did these days, as for what paradox said he forgot about that which he will come to regret in about 5 seconds.
5 seconds later ben and casss's room.
"AHHHHHHHH!" ben's scream filled the house unfortunately no one was around cassy was with jean and ben's parents were working.
Ben opened his eyes and look around ben "am I in the hospital?".
"no , I am" when ben's vision cleared ben saw that he was in the wheelchair and in his room.
"WH-what happened" ben said "it felt like I was in a lava lake or something".
Ben wheeled to his desk but "crunch" he felt something getting in the way of his wheelchair.
"what" ben said and wheeled back and he saw that it was his wrist watch whose wristband was broken.
"what the hell I was wearing it just now!" ben raised his left hand and saw something else on his left hand.
An white watch with black display which had an timer foe 10 seconds.
"what the hell" ben said "where did this came from?" ben looked at the square display which now said 5 second.
Then for some reason ben thought 'is it a bomb' and pancaked, tried to get it off but it didn't budge so ben took a pen from his desk and tried to rip it off but it was like it was stick to ben's skin, no it was stuck to ben himself.
Ben saw the timer reach zero and he closed his eyes but nothing happened.
Ben opened his eyes and saw that his arm was not blown off.
"haha" ben laughed at his survival.
"ok I admit that was a bit too much but watches don't just fall out of sky or is it appearing out of thin air" ben thought.
Ben looked at the watch and saw the timer was zero then ben saw a green line moving like it was scanning and then ben heard futuristic sound like something was activated.
'oh, oh this is where thing go wrong in the movies'.
A dot appeared in the middle of the display and four lines formed from it soon it took X shape but soon it became like a green hourglass.
"ok what now" ben though, looking at the strange watch.
"maybe I should keep a cell with me" ben said and wheeled to the phone in his room "just in case I get hurt I can at least call the ambulance".
Then ben looked at the watch for some reason it was familiar to him "wait didn't that man in my dream told me that he left me something or was it a surprise?".
"is this it" then ben remembered his face and then his name then he thought about his own name.
Then it clicked, a light bulb went off in his mind.
"BEN 10" ben whispered "no, no, no".
"I mean that's crazy" ben said "but then this place, nah I am thinking too much".
Ben was too shocked to face reality "but it could explain how I was-".
"nope don't go down hat rabbit hole" he said to himself.
"maybe it wouldn't hurt to try" ben said "nope what am I thinking. Ok whoever you are the prank's over". Ben said out loud, it was one thing being in a movie but having something like The OMNITRIX was too much.
"but I did saw him could it not have been a dream?".
Ben looked at the watch on his left wrist, ben had to admit he was mesmerized by it.
"ok here goes nothing" ben said and touched the watch and then a ring appeared divided in upper and lower part and the upper part was divided in 5 it showed heads of the aliens.
"COOL" ben said.
He scrolled and discovered that it had only 10 aliens it was the original 10.
Ben stopped at heatblast but then went past it 'I don't think cassy will appreciate if I burn our room' ben thought.
"maybe something small that will fit this chair" ben said "diamondhead will probably crush the chai with his weight, fourarms too big, XLR8 it is".
Ben saw the core pop up.
"ok then" ben then pressed the core with his right hand which was covered in bandages.
Then ben felt some sort of energy wash over him then before he could tell what happened it stopped.
Ben looked at himself.
"well I guess that it's not a fake" XLR8 said "or I am dreaming".
"BEN! We are home" ben heard his parents.
"crap what do I do" he panicked "how do you turn back; I can't wait to time out".
"ben!" ben heard cassy's voice and hurried footsteps "look what I got for us!".
Ben panicked "yeah wait don't come in".
But then he saw the door nob turn then it his him.
Ben pressed the omnitrix with his left hand and a green light washed through him and ben was back.
"look ben" cassy entered with a big smile "I got your favorite ice cream".
"oh" he blinked "thanks".
"I am the best aren't I" she said arrogantly.
"yep" ben said 'thank god out relationship is not like OG ben and gwen, wait I think that cassy is like gwen but I am mature'.
"the best one" ben told her with a smile "now let's eat it before it gets cold".
