"I see. You're wantin' to be humans. Part humans, anyway.

Cayra, Lirabel, Elayna, Samaire, Morgana, Adrienne, and Taira looked at each other, then nodded to the spellcaster, Aylania, before them.

"Alright," Aylania said, "but I must tell ya. There are certain rules, one could say, involved with this. Will you agree to them? The spell cannot go on without it!" she said to the seven sisters.

Some of them nodded, others said "Yes," or "Alright," but they all agreed. Aylania swam over to the first shelf in the cave, and pulled out two scrolls.

Oh yeah, swimming. You see, these girls were all mermaids. And they were sisters, daughters of the king of the sea. They just wanted to get away for a while. They had tried swimming away numerous times, but it had never worked. They were eventually driven to Aylania to cast a spell, to turn them into humans, which is where they are now.

Aylania returned, floating in front of them. "The first, and foremost, rule is that you cannot let anyone know about your true identity. The second those words escape your lips, you're back to mermaid form forever. The second rule is that you will not be a human forever. If water touches you at all, you become a mermaid until you get out of the water. The last, but not least, rule is that if you go for 24 hours without water touching you, you will die."

The girls looked horrified, but Samaire said "Okay."

Aylania smiled and nodded slightly. "Ah, then it is time to begin the spell. First I need a record of you. Here," she said, taking out a camera made of a conch shell, "let me take a picture. Cayra, you first."

The mermaid swam over to the blank wall where the spellcaster was pointing.

"Alright, one...two...three...there!" Aylania said, smiling as she took the photo out of the slot. It showed Cayra, redheaded, green-eyed, with her green fins and beaded top. Aylania tacked the picture up on a board. She took pictures of Lirabel, with her auburn hair, blue eyes, and silver fins, Elayna, with golden hair, green-blue eyes, and turquoise fins, and Samaire, white-blonde with hazel eyes and purple fins. She also took pictures of Morgana, with her ebony locks and emerald-eyed, with shining black fins, Adrienne with caramel-brown hair, blue eyes, and pink fins, and Taira, chocolate-haired with deep green eyes and fuschia (sp?) fins.

"Alright, now I need to make the potion," Aylania said, as she began mixing ingredients into the cauldron. She let it simmer for a moment, then filled seven cups. "You'll fall asleep after you drink this, and when you wake up, you'll be on a beach, in human form. Your names and other important things will be on papers beside you. Understand?" The other mermaids nodded in agreement. "Alright, drink up!"
