Three days have now passed but they have been a few change in Devon. He been moved out of the ICU since he been responding well to treatment. Plus now he is responding to his family's voice by touch.

Nia: Come in
Tess: Hay Bestie
Nia: TESS oh my goodness I thought you was coming tomorrow. (They hugged each other)
Tess: I was but I was begging the mess out of my dad and he went ahead and dropped me off. Wow Mr.C still hasn't woken up.
Nia: No but he's doing a lot better, and watch this. (Nia and Tess go to his bedside and Nia takes her dad's hand) Dad can you hear me if so squeeze my hand? (Nia and Tess watch for a second and slowly he squeezed her hand)
Tess: Oh my God Nia he can hear you!!
Nia: (Smiling) Yes!!! He can Tess the doctor say that's a good sign.
Tess: Of course it is Nia!
Nia: I told mom that we gotta throw him a welcome home party when he comes home.
Tess: Most definitely Hay wait where is everyone at?
Nia: Oh my mom had a doctor's appointment for the baby so my grandma and Booker went with her and Aunt Chelsea is running the shop with my aunt Nadine. I decided to just stay with dad I don't want him to wake up and no one's here.
Tess: Good I know it's calming to him to hear all of y'all's voices.
Nia: Yes he has responded to all of us. And my grandma has been praying over him like crazy plus she calls her friends on 3 way and they all pray over him at once.
Tess: Now that's what you call a prayer warriors.
Nia: (laughing) Yes they are the real deal.
Tess: So how are the other people that were in the van?
Nia: Well Umm (she looked at her dad) I'm not sure. (Nia pulled Tess close over by the door and whispered) We can't talk about it.
Tess: (whispering) Why not?
Nia: (whispering) The doctor said don't talk about anything that could upset dad. Two of them died they were dad's friends at work.
Tess: Oh no.
Nia: So we just try to keep it positive and we will just cross that bridge when he wakes up.
Tess: Okay
Baby's Doctor appointment
Doctor: I'm so sorry to hear about Mr.Carter.
Raven: Yes he's coming back our way though.
Booker: Yeah he's getting stronger every day.
Tanya: Yes he is, he will be back home in no time.
Doctor: Well that's good to hear. Now let's see about this baby. Have you been relaxing a little. I know it's been hard with your children's father in the hospital.
Raven: Well yes but I just try and keep my head up about everything.
Doctor: Good, any pains?
Raven: Yeah a little but I really just been fighting through it. (The doctor feeling her belly then looks at her clipboard with Ravens information on it)
Doctor: You know what I can do for you. Although you might not want to go through with it because of your situation. But you have about almost five more weeks before your due date. I could induce your labor and you can have the baby two weeks earlier which means you only have to go three more weeks. It could help you a lot.
Tanya: I see what you're saying so it will take some of the stress and the pain off of her from carrying him.
Doctor: yes ma'am
Booker: But what about dad?
Raven: Yeah Devon would have to be by my side I couldn't do that alone.
Doctor: I understand you have 3 weeks to make your decision just give me a call when you're ready okay.
Raven: Okay
Walking back to the room.
Booker went downstairs to the vending machine. While Raven and Tanya walked back to Devon's room.
Tanya: You should really think about it baby.
Raven: Mom if Devon wasn't in the situation he's in I would be running so fast to the operation table. But I can't do it without him this is his child too he has a right to be there.
Tanya: (Tanya stopped walking and stood in front of her daughter) Baby Devon wouldn't want you walking around in pain either. I been watching you I can tell when you're uncomfortable or not feeling well. Remember I'm your mom I know you better then anyone in this world. You need to think long and hard about this.
Raven: Okay mom I hear you and I appreciate your input but this is still my choice to make. I have to think about Devon. (Raven walked around her mom)
