Ok, this was created in an attempt to ward off boredom. Eh, Jack, and his compass…
"Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum…" Jack hummed, as he steered to the ship on a night when the moon was covered. Fog was flooding onboard the ship. "hmph, that'll cause a great reek a-morrow." He thought, before banishing the thought.
He went down to fetch himself a bottle of rum from his cabin, and came back up, to a full moon in the sky. It looked so big that Jack felt like reaching out and pulling it down. He shivered. The chill was getting to him. He pulled on his warm coat and sat down by the wheel to warm his old bones.
He wasn't as young as he used to be, and he still hadn't fulfilled his life's desire. No doubt that it could be fulfilled, but the only problem was that he didn't know his desire… he wasn't exactly sure what he wanted anymore. He sighed and took a swig of his ruby elixir. Looking down, he tried to resist the temptation to reach into his pocket and take out his compass.
He was terrified of what would happen. Yes, Captain Jack Sparrows was terrified… His compass was the one that led him when he wanted to make sure of his decision. Now, he didn't have one. What would the compass do, would it break? He couldn't risk that. But then, he reached into his pocket and pulled it out. He brushed dust off it's mahogany cover. He grinned. An old jolly roger greeted him.
Closing his eyes, he opened it. The arrow was spinning, like it usually did while it measured his desires. But it didn't stop. It just kept spinning. Round and round and round. It just didn't stop, until Jack finally understood, he had no desire… he was content, not possible! Jack Sparrows, almighty ruler, well, almost could never be contented. He had to plunder SOMETHING. Or do something, get into violent scrapes, crazy adventures, wild friends, wait, did he have friends?
Of course he did, Mr. Gibbs, and, erm, erm, Will… yeah. All that while, the arrow was spinning. But maybe, maybe he wasn't content, he sure as hell didn't feel it. Maybe, he had no desire because he had no aim… that was a scary thought… everyone has an aim, at least, everyone should have an aim… I'm the only one, wandering the world, he thought, aimless…
I don't know… very, odd. I do say so myself. I have no idea what came over me. Do REVIEW! Rambling, another side of Jack. I kinda like it…
