disclaimer: I do not own Kingdom hearts and i doubt i will ever, but I wrote something i thought could go along with it.
Chapter 1. How It All Began
Brilliant streaks of light filled up the dark, starry sky. Following them closely in time was a huge barrage of "booms" that echoed across the Destiny Islands. Sora awoke in a second and nearly bounded out his door half-naked to see what happened. However, just as he reached the door he heard a familiar pitter-patter of rain coming down. Whew, thought Sora. Its just raining again, He looked outside. It was sometime around twilight. Sora began to walk back up the stairs when he heard a creaking sound. Somewhat like wood breaking, thought Sora. WOOD BREAKING! Sora grabbed his red jumpsuit and jacket and ran out of his house like a wild man off towards the mainland. OMG,OMG, OMG, OMG, OMG, OMG, OMG, OM-
"Sora, shut up!" A voice said in his head. Who are you? Sora thought back to the voice.
"You've forgotten already? Jiminy Cricket 'tis the name. I was your professional conscience and journal writer. I'm still with you, but you got to get a hold of yourself" Oh Jiminy, I almost forgot about you. I'm really sorry.
"It's okay Sora. Now, first things first, you've got to get us to the sea shack if Kairi-" and Riku! "Is who you were thinking about when you ran out of your house. And I know that's what you're thinking because I'm your conscience." Sora smiled, I don't think I want a conscience anymore if it can do that, but okay, it's off to the docks with us.
"The docks!...uh, maybe we should, erm, take a different path…" Sora realized that Jiminy was afraid of water. He smiled wider this time; playtime has just begun. What was that Jiminy? I can't hear you over the rain!
"Sora! You don't need your ears to hear me! I'm in your min-blagblaubalblkakljf…" With that last bit, Sora had reached the dock and pulled out the shield Goofy had given him a couple years before; tossed it onto the water splashing himself with lots in the process. Thankfully it was a wooden shield and before long Sora and Jiminy were shooting across the ocean at 60 miles per hour powered by the magic spell Aeroga moving the water like an engine.
The island began to come into view and details became clearer. Something was happening on the shore and around that area. Sora concentrated hard. Soon he could start to make out what seemed like a-
"Sora look out!" In his haste to see what was happening on the island, Sora did not notice that a dark figure started to rise out of the water. It got bigger and bigger until it finally reached a height of about 60 feet above sea level. The more Sora saw of this…thing the more he tried to slow down his shield/boat. Although he slowed it down a considerable amount, he wasn't fast enough and he ran right into the dark figure sending him (and Jiminy) sprawling into the ocean drifting slowly towards the bottom…
