Summary: House and Wilson. Greg and Jimmy. Together they crashed and burned.

A/N: Probably the darkest piece I've written to date. I was feeling depressed and listening to 'It's Been Awhile' by Staind, this is what came out. Enjoy and please review!

House and Wilson. Greg and Jimmy. Always by each other's side.

Even when they were fighting, no one doubted that the two of them would be there for one another no matter what. They were unshakable. House and Wilson. Greg and Jimmy.

They did what would be impossible for anyone else with them. They fell in love. House and Wilson. Greg and Jimmy. It was like a dream.

Except dreams aren't real.

House fell into darkness. Wilson no longer by his side.

"Do you really think we can bring him back?"

It's Foreman. Always challenging. Always saying what no one wants to hear.

Wilson doesn't answer. He never does. Cameron does.

"Of course we can." Her eyes burning, a sharp contrast to her heart. "We will bring him out of this."

Chase scoffs. "Yes, of course we will! It's not like we're actually fighting against him!"

Wilson doesn't respond. He never does. This time Stacy does.

"What are you doing here if you don't think we'll do it?"

"Because, we have to give him hope."

It's Cuddy. Always saying what everyone needs to hear.

"Greg's gone off the deep end." Stacy, again. Her eyes smolder into Wilson's. "He will come back if he gets help."

"No." Its Wilson's voice this time. He laughs bitterly. "He has no control, he thinks with his head too much. I'm his reason, his balance. Without me, he'll eventually crash and burn."

"And you'll watch as it happens." Cuddy's voice is as gentle as ever. She understands too well.

Wilson doesn't answer. He knows he'll burn too.

House and Wilson. Greg and Jimmy. Together they were happy. Together they were the best of friends. Together they crashed and burned. Together they'll die. It's only a matter of time.
