The next day they both slept late after being up till the early hours watching movies. Skye woke up to the smell of bacon being cooked. She got up and went into the kitchen.

There was a woman there she didn't recognize, and she was cooking breakfast.

"Um. Morning." Skye said

"Hello. You must be Skye. I wanted to meet you yesterday but had a lot going on. I'm Valkyrie." The woman said

Skye smiled "Hello. Thor has mentioned you."

Valkyrie smiled "Only good things I hope."

"Yes." Skye said with a smile. "Would there be bad things he could tell me?" She asked with a smirk

Valkyrie chuckled. "I'm sure Thor could make up some stories."

"I could?" Thor asking coming into the room and smiled "About what?" he asked

Valkyrie smirked. "Oh nothing."

Skye chuckled.

"Ah. You two are taking nonsense about me?" Thor asked with a laugh

"No." Valkyrie said. "Skye just mentioned you have mentioned me."

"Of course. I handed picked you to run Asgard." Thor said

"Ha. Like there was anyone better." Valkyrie said

Skye chuckled.

"What brought you by?" Thor asked her.

"Someone has to cook proper food for this girl." Valkyrie said with a smirk

"I can cook." Thor said

"He can. He cooked a really good dinner last night." Skye said

Valkyrie tilted her head. "Really, because the first and last time you have ever cooked for me I couldn't force myself to eat it."

"Yes. I can learn new things too." He said with a smirk.

"Okay. I stand corrected." Valkyrie said.

Thor nodded and took a piece of bacon off the plate and started to eat it.

Soon breakfast was served up and the three ate.

"Did Thor show you around yesterday?" Valkyrie asked

"Abit. But not much." Skye said

"I have plans to do that today." Thor said

"Good." Valkyrie said

When they finished and cleaned up Skye went and got dressed coming out with her thin winter coat.

Valkyrie tilted her head "You are going to be freezing without a thicker coat."

"This is the thickest coat I own." Skye said

Thor came out of his room. "Ah. First order of business is to get you something thicker."

"I'll be fine." Skye said

"I will not hear of it. If I let you get sick. Your father will never trust me with you again." Thor said

Skye chuckled. "I wont get sick."

"Because we are getting you a better coat." Thor said.

Valkyrie smirked. "I will see you both soon I'm sure." She left.

Skye said bye before she put on her boots. Thor led her out of his place, and they walked into the village much like the day before people came up to say hello and welcoming her there. They got to a small store shortly after.

Thor led her to a rack of thick winter coats. "Pick one." He said

Skye sighed and gave in knowing she had lost this battle. She picked up a dark purple one and put it on. It had fur trimmed hood. And it hit her at her knees. She zipped it up and pulled the draw strings at the waist to cinch it in. She also checked all the pockets to make sure any zippers worked.

The owner of the shop came over. "Thor! How are you?"

Thor greeted the woman. "I am good. This is Skye. We are getting her a warmer coat."

"Hello Skye." The woman said "I think that one looks great on you. And its one of kind like everything else in my store. So you wont ever have to worry about anyone else having one."

Skye smiled. "Ooh. I have to admit I have never been one who wants to 'fit in' with treads. So I like that."

"Always have felt that way too." The woman said with a smile. "And I have seen a lot of people try that one on and it not quite work for them. I think it was made for you. It fits you perfectly." The woman said

"Really?" Skye said looking in the mirror that was against the back wall of the shop.

"Yes. And I don't know if you need them but." The woman grabbed a scarf, hat and gloves that matched the coat perfectly.

"I don't really but they are beautiful." Skye said

"Did you bring any with you?" Thor asked

"Well. No. But." Skye said

Thor shook his head.

"I didn't know how cold it would be here…" She said

Thor smiled and ruffled her hair. "She will take them too." Thor said

The woman smiled.

Skye sighed. "Okay."

They went to the register and Thor paid for the clothes.

Skye put everything on before they said bye to the shop owner and headed back out into the cold.

"Thank you." Skye said

"You're welcome." Thor said

He continued to show her around. A man came over with his teenage son and Thor of the older man talked.

Skye looked at the teenager and smiled abit.

"I'm Orri." He said putting his hand out

"I'm Skye." She said shaking his hand.

"Nice to meet you." He said with a smile.

Skye smiled abit. "Nice to meet you too." She was polite but she was painfully shy with boys around her age.

Thor and the other man's conversation ended shortly after, and they went their separate ways.

They were walking towards Valkyrie's place. Thor noticed she seemed to be much quieter than before.

"What is wrong?" He asked

"Nothing." Skye said

"You are quieter than before." He said

Skye shrugged.

Thor held back a smirk. "Did you like Orri?"

"Hrm? Oh. He was nice." Skye said

"He is very nice. Good lad he is. Hard worker always helping his father." Thor said

Skye nodded "That's good."

"I'm sure I could arrange for you two to spend time together while you are here." Thor said

"No! That's okay." Skye said quickly her face starting to flush.

Thor smirked. "Okay. If you don't want to that's okay."

They had lunch with Valkyrie. Skye was very quiet and distracted

Thor and Valkyrie looked at each other

"Skye, what is wrong?" Thor asked her

Skye didn't seem to hear.

"Skye?" Thor said

She still didn't acknowledge.

"Skyer." Thor said a little louder.

Skye jumped abit. "Sorry. What?"

"Are you alright?" Thor asked

"Yes. Sorry. Was just thinking." Skye said

"About what?" Valkyrie asked

"Nothing important." Skye said

"Wasn't about a certain young lad was it?" Thor asked with a smirk.

"No." Skye said softly

"You sure?" Thor asked

"Thor. Leave her alone." Valkyrie said trying to help the girl out.

Skye took a breath. "Do you have a bathroom I can us?"

Valkyrie told her where it was, and Skye went.

"Thor. When it comes to young girls and boys you need to thread lightly." Valkyrie said

"Ah. I made her uncomfortable?" Thor asked

"Yes." Valkyrie said, "Do you not remember being young and having a crush?"

Thor shrugged "Always had a way with woman."

"Of course you did." Valkyrie said with a chuckle. "Well not everyone has the same charm as you."

Skye didn't want to stay there anymore. She was feeling very overwhelmed by everything and everyone. She used the bathroom and snuck towards the door. She grabbed all her things and left the house closing the door quietly behind her.

After she was gone fifteen minutes Thor started to be concerned.

"I'll go make sure she is okay." Valkyrie said going to the bathroom and finding the door opened. She started to look around the place "Skye?" She called out she noticed her things were gone by the door and went back to Thor.

"I think she left…" Valkyrie said

"What?" Thor said getting up.

"Her coat and such are gone." Valkyrie said. She took out her phone and called a few people to look out for her as she and Thor headed out the door as well to look for her.

Skye just started walking till she found a spot where she could sit and look out at the water. She was sitting there for awhile when snow started to fall. She sighed. She loved the snow. Usually but right now it just reminded her she wasn't in New York. She realized that in the six months she had been spending with Steve and everyone that she had found a home. And it wasn't here. This place was beautiful. Thor was great. But it wasn't New York. And it wasn't home.

Someone who Valkyrie had called saw her sitting there and called and told her. She told Thor.

"Let me. I am the one who made her uncomfortable. I will fix it." Thor said before he went and found her and sat next to her.

Skye looked up and let out a breath.

"Are you alright?" He asked

Skye nodded abit.

"You worried me and Valkyrie." He said

"Sorry." Skye said

"She told me I might have made you uncomfortable with my questions about the boy." Thor said

Skye shrugged.

"I did not mean to." Thor said

"I know." Skye said.

"Good." Thor said "Now. No more talk about that. This snow is getting worse. I need to get you inside."

Skye shrugged. "I'm warm enough here."

"Ah. I do not think so little lady. Let us go." Thor said getting up

Skye didn't move.

"Skyler." Thor said.

Skye still didn't move.

"I do not wish to get upset with you. Let us go. We can watch more star wars." Thor offered

"It is so pretty here." Skye said

"It is a beautiful place." Thor said "But if you stay out here you will be buried in snow."

Skye chuckled "Its going to snow that much?"

Thor chuckled "Okay. Not quite that much. But it is getting colder, and we need to go. Now." He said

"You can go. I will find my way back to your place." Skye said

"No. Skyler. You are coming with me. Now." He said his voice changing to becoming sterner.

Skye shook her head.

Thor had never had any responsibility for a child before and he didn't know what to do. He walked away but kept her with in his sights calling Valkyrie for advice. Once he hung up he went back to Skye taking a breath.

"You are coming with me right now. Either on your own or I will throw you over my shoulder." Thor said

Skye looked up at him. She wasn't sure if she believed him.

The snow was getting even worse, and he didn't have time to argue with the girl. She didn't seem to be planning on moving so he did what he said he would do. He picked her up and slung her over his shoulder.

She whimpered. She could have tried to get away, but she figured she was already in enough trouble.

Thor carried her all the way back to his place her squirming when he got inside and set her down.

"Get you gear off and go sit in your room." He said sternly.

Skye took her stuff off and went into her room slumping on the bed.

Thor took his own stuff off and went into the living room and sat on the couch.

Half an hour later Skye came out of the bedroom. "A-are you going to tell Steve?"

Thor looked up. "You are supposed to be in your room." He told her

"I'm sorry." She said softly before turning to go back.

Thor let out a breath "Skyler. Come sit."

Skye went and sat down.

He pointed out the window. "Do you see how quickly it got very bad out there?"

Skye looked out the window and she nodded abit.

"I know how the weather here is. It changes very quickly. You would have been in big danger if I had let you stay out there." Thor said

Skye nodded "I'm sorry."

"You ever clear snow before?" He asked

"You mean like shovel a driveway? Yes." She said not sure where this conversation was going.

"Once the snow stops and it comes time to do so you little lady will help me help clear out driveways for those who need help." Thor said. Manual labour was an adequate consequence in his mind.

Skye nodded. "Got it."

"And leaving Valkyrie's like that. Do you think that was respectful?" He asked

"No. I will apologize to her." She said

Thor nodded "I will be calling Steve and telling him what happened." Thor said

Skye let out a breath. "Nothing I can do will change your mind about that?"

"No." Thor said

Skye nodded abit.

"Shall we do it together?" Thor asked

Skye let out a breath "Okay." She said softly.

Thor took out his phone and called Steve on speaker.

Steve answered. "How's it going?"

"Been fine. A small situation I feel you should know about." Thor said

"Is Skye okay?" Steve asked clear worry in his voice.

"I'm okay." Skye said

"Yes. She is fine." Thor explained what had happened.

Steve sighed. "Skyler. I'm disappointed." He said

"Sorry." She said softly.

"We have talked. She will be helping me with clearing driveways for those who need the assistance once the weather clears up. Just thought you should know." Thor said

"Okay. Good. Skyler you give Thor anymore trouble you and I will be having a conversation when you get back. Am I clear?" He asked

"Yes sir." Skye said her voice still soft.

"You having fun otherwise?" Steve asked

"Yeah." Skye said

"She has been meeting lots of people. We watched some movies last night." Thor said

"That sounds like fun." Steve said

"Yes. Its been okay. Thor bought me winter stuff. He didn't think the stuff I had was warm enough." Skye said

"Probably wasn't. I have seen what you have." Steve said

Skye rolled her eyes.

"Ah little lady he might not be able to see that, but I did." Thor said

"She roll her eyes at me?" Steve asked

"Yes." Thor said

"Sorry." Skye said quickly.

"Did you thank him for buying you these things?" Steve asked

"Yes." Skye said

"She did thank me. A lot." Thor said

"Okay. Good." Steve said, "Please stay out of trouble Skye."

"I will." Skye said

They hung up.

"I'm kind of tired." Skye said

"Go. Take a rest." Thor said

Skye went to the bedroom and curled up on the bed. She hated disappointing Steve. She also hated how thing happened today. She hadn't wanted to take off and disobey Thor the way she did. But she felt so unbelievable overwhelmed. The talk of that boy. She was supposed to be crushing on someone at her age. And she had never crushed on any one. No guy no girl. No one famous. She didn't understand it. When everyone would talk about how cute some famous person was she never really understood it. Why was she different than everyone else? Why couldn't she see what everyone else seemed to see.

Thor knocked on her door a little later.

"Yes?" She said

He went in. "Dinner is here. I ordered pizza. Could never do that when Asgard was in space." He said

Skye smiled abit. "Okay."

"You okay?" He asked

"I'm fine." She said softly. "I'll be out in a minute."

Thor nodded and left the room.

Skye came out a few minutes later and grabbed a piece of pizza and sat down at the table and ate slowly

Thor ate as well but watched the young girl. "You sure you are okay? Not to annoyed with me?" He asked

Skye smiled abit "You did what you I expected. Its okay."

"Why are you sad than?" He asked

"Who said I am?" Skye asked

"Your face." Thor said

"Geeze Thor. Really?" Skye asked

"What? What did I say?" Thor asked confused

"For being a god you know nothing about woman." She said

Thor chuckled "Okay. Well what did I say wrong? Please teach me."

"You never tell a woman there is something wrong with her face." Skye said

"I didn't say there was anything wrong with your face. Just that you look sad." Thor said

Skye sighed. "Same thing."

"Okay. Than what should I have said?" Thor asked

"Nothing. Because I'm fine." Skye said

"Okay. Well if I see someone looks sad in the future what should I say?" Thor asked

"Ask them what's wrong. If something is wrong they might tell you but if they say nothing is wrong you don't ask more." Skye said

"So I shouldn't push and say I don't believe them if I -know something is wrong?" Thor asked

"Not if they tell you its nothing." Skye said

Thor nodded abit "Okay. If you say so." He knew that was bull. He knew she was just trying to get him to drop it, so he was going to leave it alone for now.

"Hey. I have a question." Skye said

"Okay." Thor said

"How does the stormbreaker work for teleportation? Do you just think about where you want to go? Can you go anywhere, or does it have to be somewhere you have been before?" Skye said

"I just have to think about where I want to go. And I just need to know the name of the place." Thor said "Why?" Thor asked

"Just curious. Its cool." Skye said

Thor smiled "It is very useful."

They finished eating and Skye cleaned up even when Thor told her she didn't have to. Once everything was cleaned up she went to go back to the bedroom.

"Would you like to watch some more Star wars?" Thor asked

"I'm pretty tired." Skye said

"Okay. Maybe tomorrow." He said

They both went to bed pretty early as they were both quite tired.
