"I don't think I'll ever get enough—"
"Alpha—don't ever stop—"
"Omega—"
Brbrbrbrbr
For the first time ever, Rey hated that her heat was over.
And if had to bet, she would guess that Ben did too.
"I guess—" she says.
"I guess so," he adds. But instead of getting out of their nest and washing away five days of rut and heat—he pulls her back into his arms. Which is where both of them need to be.
After a long couple of minutes, when she's finally brave enough to ask, "Now can you tell me? What's a nice, handsome, wonderful smelling alpha doing working for a creep like my so-called grandfather?"
If she hadn't just spent the past week staring into his eyes, she never would have noticed how they narrow at her question before his poker face locks into place. The only other time she's seen this side of him was that very first day he walked into her bakery to pick up the doughnuts, before it faded away as soon as he saw her.
It makes her omega want to cry as they both wish they could gather their words back.
Thankfully, her phone buzzes and even though she doesn't recognize the number, she grabs it anyway.
She should've let it ring.
"Rey! My favorite granddaughter!"
Fuck! "You mean you don't have another one you can pester and demand that she marries one of your asshat alphas that she doesn't know?"
Rey sits up, some part of her not wanting to soil their nest while she has to talk to her so-called-grandfather. She climbs out and heads for the kitchen and can feel Alpha as he follows. She turns to meet his eyes and he whispers, "Palpatine?"
She nods while Palpatine answers, "No unfortunately, you're the one and only." Not sure why, but she wants Ben to hear the rest of what he has to say, so she pulls the cell away from her ear and touches the speaker button.
"What did you say? My cell went out."
"I must get you a new phone. I said that you are my one and only. Now tell me this. Have you made up your mind?" Palpatine asks in a sing-song voice like he's talking to a kid and not an adult.
Besides, didn't Snoke tell him that he barged into Ben's hospital room? Either Snoke is keeping this a secret or Palpatine just wants to get them to him- "Actually I have. But I'd like to tell you in person. Can I come by the house?"
"Yes, I think I'd like that. very much."
"Alright," she says but before she can say bye, the phone goes silent. She sets it down on the nightstand as she asks, "Did you notice that?"
"Notice what?"
"Snoke saw us, you know right after we got married. Did he not tell Palpatine? Or is Palpatine just acting this way to get us to the house?"
"Rey, I know what I'm about to say, well you might not want to hear it. But when this happens, we try not to think about it."
"Are you a cop? FBI? You know, Daddy was, hell he still goes on long trips like he did when I was little so might still be—but he was a U.S. Marshall." She doesn't want to, but she meets his eyes. "You know, just forget I asked—"
"Rey- it's not that. I want to tell you every detail. But I also don't—Rey?" she interrupts him when she steps into his arms. She kisses the spot of skin above his heart, where his scent is the strongest.
"What did I just do?"
"Face the enemy?" She loves the way his arms squeeze her tight as his lips linger on her forehead.
"As long as you're with me."
A forehead kiss. "You know, if we have to go see that son of a bitch, then I want you full of my come." He takes her hand and heads to the bathroom.
"Where are we going?"
"Shower. First a quickie then we scrub each other. Or maybe wash and then the quickie. As long as you smell like me when we go—"
Brbrbrbrbr
And she does.
Ben must have messaged Hux, because he waits for them on the wide front porch. Before they get out of the truck, Rey admits, "Want to hear something funny? I used to wonder what it was like to live there in that big old house. And now look at us. Pulling up—"
"Rey—" he reaches for her hand as his scent changes. It's subtle, but it's there. His alpha calms her omega.
"I'm just glad that you're here. How lucky I was when I met you." She brings his hand up to her mouth where she kisses his knuckles before she caresses her cheek with the back of his hand. "I think I could touch you forever."
"Omega—" he rumbles. "I'm so close to taking you back home—"
A knock on his window prevents him from continuing. A sigh and they both look out his driver's side. An annoyed Hux scowls as he complains, "Come on you two. They're waiting for you."
Even Rey picks up on the underlying tone of let's get this over with. Ben doesn't roll down his window but instead opens his door. She reaches for hers, but Ben meets her eyes with a shake of his head. "Get out on my side."
As much as she likes this possessive side of him, part of the console is in-between them. but then she can feel his alpha—a huff as she slides over the top of the center piece. "Go—" she softly commands.
"Hang on—" he turns and somehow, he arranges her across his lap, and she knows that it's to see where he bit her mating bite and she can see his. Their scents are together now, and she loves it. He still licks right over the top of it. which sends all kinds of crazy signals all through her body.
"Come on you two—it will take two minutes to go in and piss off the old alpha that stinks. Then you can go back and continue whatever this is." Hux explains.
"He's right," she agrees.
"I like her," Hux says with a wink.
Ben growls. She giggles and puts her hand over his heart. As soon as she touches him, he turns his attention to her. "Alpha—I'm yours."
You're the one who I allowed to bite—you belong to me and I'm yours.
His growls turns into one of contentment as her words sink in as they echo around his head and heart.
And you belong to me. He hums.
"Come on, let's get this over with," she murmurs.
"Fine, but after this, I want tacos." Ben lifts her back over the center console so he can slide out. Then catches her around the waist and lifts her—but before he sets her down, he steals a kiss, which makes them both smile.
For just a moment, something deep inside whispers to her to run—but instead she leans into him and his embrace.
Ben must feel it too, and maybe even Hux because Ben murmurs, "I have the marriage certificate. You're stuck with me, Love. And there's nothing he can do about it."
"Good." She can't describe the relief that flows through her at the truth of his words.
He lets go of her even though she can tell that neither one of them wants to. Her omega drives her to keep touching him—but he grabs her hand before she can reach for him. Perhaps the old stories of alpha and omegas—mated ones that is—sharing thoughts is true. And perhaps he needs to touch her too.
Hux goes before them to the wide once welcoming front porch. At least it was until the other day when she was kidnapped and given choices that has led her to this—still she wouldn't change it for anything. At least not this part, her alpha next to her.
The door opens before Hux sets a foot on a step. Vicrul, the one that used to come and get doughnuts and she agreed to be his just so she can get away, waits for them.
She can feel the hum as something unspoken passes between the men. Perhaps Ben won, for Vicrul doesn't move from his post at the door. But something or someone moves behind Vicrul- Snoke rises from the bench in the foyer like he was waiting for them. Dressed all in gold lame, he looks almost silly except for the predatory stare he gives them.
And she's so glad that their combined scent covers the desperation of her fear. And if it hadn't been for her alpha, she never would have entered this house. it's not until her shoulder brushes Ben's arm, that she realizes—
"Rey, my precious one. I'm so glad that you're here." Palpatine appears above them. She's instantly wary, memories from last week flood her mind. "Come on up, I wish to talk to you."
It's only because she was watching her so-called relative that she even sees the old man's eyes narrow when she pulls Ben along after her. Before she takes the first step, Ben is beside her and Hux behind like bodyguards.
It's not until Palpatine shuts the door in the same office they were in just the other day, before Hux can follow them in, that he asks, "What in the hell is he doing here?"
Rey makes herself meet his eyes. For the first time she and Ben are alone with Palpatine. Sudden bravery makes her speak first, "This is Kylo. we got married and now, we're mates."
His reaction is nothing at all what she expected. Instead of blowing up and screaming and losing control—he sinks down into the chair behind his desk and laughs.
It's not one of those little chuckles. But a full belly, roaring laugh. One that makes every hair on her body stand on end. Then as sudden as it starts, the laughter stops. His unmistakable, I'm-the-alpha-and-you-have-to-listen-to-me voice echoes in the empty room when he demands, "Sit down."
As much as she wants to do what the old alpha commands, the one who is hers, whose bite she bears—overrides Palpatine's alpha command. Ben's grip tightens and she can feel his thoughts again—we have to stand our ground, but we also have to appear docile to a point.
Together—they claim the overstuffed leather seats in front of the huge desk.
Once, before Jyn and Cassian found her, she sort of remembers this room. The desk. The smell of leather that's all at once comforting and exotic for a child. The books that she just wanted to know everything that's in them.
As they sit in silence something sinks in. He's just a tired old man who somehow commands respect. And if everything she's ever heard about him is true—she wants no part of this.
For a long moment she can feel Ben and Palpatine take one another in like only two alphas can. it's omega that breaks the tension, "Alpha—I need you."
"I'm here—"
"How touching." Comes from behind the desk. "Too bad you aren't an alpha—no matter. Is that what you're calling yourself these days is it? What happened to Ben Solo? Is he in there somewhere?"
Rey tries not to look surprised but still looks to her husband. his jaw is clenched, and his eyes are narrow as he hears the underlying threat. "You know me then?"
"I know you better than you know yourself, boy. The question is, do you know who you are?" Palpatine glares at Ben.
"I do, old man. What do you want?" Ben answers.
"You." the old man grunts. "I know who you are and who your family is. I'll be blunt to make sure we're all on the same page. If you want to keep my granddaughter as your mate, then you will do exactly as I tell you."
"And what is that?"
"You have no right to say that—" Rey begins. "You decide now to be a part of my life? When I meet an alpha who you might be able to use to gain whatever it is you want to gain?"
"Hush child, your husband will do anything for you. I just need him to help make my web bigger, if you will." Palpatine looks down at a paper on before him. "Your mother is Leia Organa, but your father is Han Solo—did he ever introduce you to Qi'ra and Maul Zabrak? Or should I ask about your Uncle Luke? Does he still go by Skywalker? How is your grandfather? When you get a chance, do tell him that Sheev says good day. And how is your sweet Nana Padme?"
"Don't you dare speak her name!" Ben hisses, his anger a bitterness Rey's never felt before surrounds her. She's not sure if she should run, or fight or touch him.
Ben starts to rise but Palpatine barks, "I told you to sit! You must be wanting me to take back my granddaughter—"
"If you threaten us with that again I'm going to rip your fucking throat out!"
That stupid laugh is back. "Down boy. Like I said if you help me, then I'll let you two live in your happily ever after. Or I can kill you and marry her off to one of my men who I know will do what I need them to do—keep her full of pups. Now, what are you going to do?"
Brbrbrbrbr
"I can't believe you agreed!" she storms ahead of him into the bakery. Instead of waiting on him, she lets the screen door go and he barely catches it in time to keep it from slamming in his face.
"Rey—" he steps into the kitchen but stops. Rey is fuming, Rose looks concerned and the boy, Grogu, looks like if he was just a little bigger, he'd try to kill him.
If they only knew what he just did.
Including Rey. He quickly closes the distance between them, then in a total alpha move, throws her over his shoulder. A squeak sounds behind him as he heads for the stairs that lead up to their apartment.
Miraculously, she's silent on the way up. Even when they reach the living room, and he kicks the door shut behind them. He gently puts her back on her feet, and those beautiful hands of hers goes to her hips but before she can open her mouth—he says, "Can I say something? I guess I should have told you all this before I dragged you into the middle of everything—" That gets her attention. The hands move to touch him, and he catches her hands so he can kiss the insides of her wrists. This must soothe her because she gives him a curt nod.
"But I was scared that you'd reject me." He leads her over to the couch instead of his first instinct, their nest. He sits first, then pulls her into his lap. A kiss on her temple, as he murmurs, "I love you so much. But yes, I am an undercover something and I'm here to take down your grandfather." She starts to say something, but he continues, and she hushes so she can hear him. "I can't tell you everything, but I really do, and I will but there are many lives on the line if I do tell you everything." He leans her back so their eyes can meet. "Will you trust me?"
"I will, and I do, Alpha."
brbrbrbr
"When you asked me to trust you, I didn't think it meant another wedding."
"I didn't think that's what the old man had in mind either," Ben snaps back. He knows he shouldn't be snippy, but he would rather—no he loves that he gets to marry his Rey again. But he likes the little simple ceremony they had in the hospital instead of the circus that waits for them.
The last thing they let them pick out was the menu for the five-course dinner that was to follow the ceremony.
He leaves his bowtie hanging and pulls her into his arms. The same fire that's always been there is still there even if she's as tired as he is. She's not yet in the dress that Palpatine of all people picked out for her, and he whispers, "You look beautiful."
"I'm still in my slip," she giggles for the first time in days, weeks even—well since all this started.
"That's why you're so cute." He looks down at what she's wearing. He should pay more attention, but his alpha wired brain can only see the lace delicately covering certain parts of her body. "And breathtaking—"
"Alright Solo—we're already married remember?"
"Thank goodness. Let's just leave."
She stills in his arms. "Soon, let's get this over with first."
"Just don't leave my side."
"I wasn't planning on it." She feels his chest and smiles at the bullet proof padding she feels there. "Help me with mine?"
"Anytime, Mrs. Solo."
Brbrbrbrbr
"—do you?"
"I do."
"-and do you?"
"Always." A chuckle from the congregation makes them both smile.
"You may kiss your bride." Out of everything else that has already happened, or about to happen, Rey and Ben both know that this most sacred moment is still between them.
Even if they only know a handful of the almost three thousand people who watch them.
Rose hands her back her pink roses and dahlias as she links her hand in Ben's elbow. She didn't spare anyone a glance when her dad walked her down the aisle. Palpatine wanted to, but she resisted. Jyn and Cassian are still her family even if Palpatine is her grandfather—where is that DNA test?
"Who are all these people?" she asks under her breath. Their little town didn't even have a church big enough for all the guests her grandfather invited, so they had to move to next city, Asheville. He knew the right people for them to get an open date for the heavily sought-after catholic church where everyone wants to get married at.
"I only know a few of them myself—" he whispers back. They make to the end of the aisle and out into the foyer. Thankfully they already had taken all the pictures but the ones she treasures most are the ones from the hospital and at the pop-up reception at their apartment.
But just as she's ready to make her escape to the reception, when the wedding planner, Bellava Parnadee stops them. "Thank goodness you already did the pictures! Hurry now, let's go over to the hall for the reception."
Others wanted them to have the reception elsewhere, but even Rey knew that if they switch locations something bad would be more likely to happen. As of right now, too many of these men and women are too catholic to try something in the house of the Lord.
As soon as their parents catch up to them along with their wedding party—they start the walk across the parking lot. "Ben—"
"Shhh—look," he says with a nod at the vehicles that surround them.
"I don't—" but a flash interrupts her. "Is that—"
"Just act natural, and don't leave my side."
"Alright—"
"I mean it Omega—I need you to do exactly what I tell you," Ben warns as he pulls her to a stop. she can hear their families and friends as they stop too. His finger under her chin as he tilts her head up so he can meet her eyes. "Promise me, please. I just found you, I can't lose you."
"I promise." She covers his hands with her own and guides them to her lips. A kiss to his knuckles and his eyes soften at her vow. "I love you."
"And I you. Come, let's go celebrate."
Bellava meets them in the foyer. "You can sneak in since you haven't seen what we've done with it. Then when the guests start coming over, I'll hide all of you in a little room then the DJ will announce you one-by-one until we get to Kylo and Rey."
She opens the doors and Ben, and Rey are the first ones to follow her in. At first when Bellava and the florist asked her over and over about her favorite flowers at first she thought it was silly. But after her beautiful bouquet of pink coral with hint of fuchsia dahlias and huge garden roses was given to her earlier, then seeing the hall decorated with those same flowers—she knows that she will treasure this forever.
Then seeing Finn and Rose's wedding cake that they painstakingly made for them with the flowers gracing each layer like it had been specifically made for them—her heart fills like it's going to burst with all the love she feels.
"It's beautiful," she whispers.
"They did an amazing job," Ben agrees. But before she has a chance to check out any more of it, someone leads them into another room-
"The guests are coming; she needs for us to follow her." He squeezes her hand but it's his scent—while it's still them it surrounds her like he wants to comfort her?
"Alright, that's fine." She follows and hears the rest of them behind them as Ben leads them down a hallway.
Bellava stops in front of a door, but before Ben goes in, he asks, "Is there a room that has windows? My dad is a little claustrophobic—"
Han, with a slight pink tint to his cheeks, adds, "They always give me such a hard time about it."
"That's alright," Bellava says with a gentle smile as she gestures to the door opposite them in the hallway. "There's this room."
Rey looks in. As soon as she does, she sees why Ben wanted to move. From this window in what could only be a kid's classroom, she can see almost the entire parking lot.
"Thank you," Han says behind her. "I don't mean to—"
"Nonsense," Bellava says. "You're the father of the groom. You need to be comfortable also." One of the helpers follows them in with a cart of drinks and some snacks. "Go ahead and get something to drink, or even a snack. The restroom is down the hall." She checks her watch. "I'm guessing fifteen minutes? Then we'll make the grand entrance."
Rey nods while Rose says thank you.
For a moment, Bellava looks confused, then she rushes out.
"That's weird," Rose whispers behind her.
"That's what I thought." Rey turns. Rose had picked out her own dress, after a long shopping trip to Atlanta. Off the shoulder, mid-length, pale red, almost pink she looks beautiful and exotic. And at the same bridal shop, Rey found hers. She was never one to dream of finding the alpha of her dreams, so she never dreamed about her perfect dress.
Which is ok because Rose found it. Off the shoulder, a tad longer than Rose's, more lace and white. She wasn't going to wear a veil, but Palpatine had appeared with one. He almost had tears in his eyes as he explained that her grandmother had worn it on their wedding day.
And yes, she did cry then.
"Did I tell you that you that you look beautiful?" Rey asks.
"Not as beautiful as you."
"You both look amazing," Hux adds. That earns him a kiss from Rose and a thank you from Rey. "Can I steal her for a moment?"
Rey smiles at the extra sparkle that appears in Rose's eye as she grins at her boyfriend as he leads her to a corner of the room. She looks around, and smiles as her parents and his parents chat while Poe and Finn wonder over where Ben looks out the window.
She starts to join them, when Bellava returns. "Everyone? Your guests are in the hall waiting for you. Let's start with the parents, then the wedding party, then the bride and groom."
Everyone lines up like they've practiced then a dozen times. But before Ben joins her, he first goes to his dad. It does something to her heart to see the two bent over, sharing their secrets. As much as she wants to run and hide, she knows that with these two plus her own father, she's as safe as she can be.
Still, it's not until he returns to her side, her alpha and her husband, that her omega settles within her. He must sense her unease, for after he steals a kiss, he rests his forehead against hers. As their breaths mingle, his closeness brings her comfort. "What's wrong?" he whispers.
"Something's going to happen, isn't it? That's why you said to stay close?"
"Shhh—" he cups her cheeks as his lips meet hers. But it's too quick until he touches her mating gland. Their scent intensifies, and fills the room. "I've got you."
"I'm so glad that you do."
A throat being cleared interrupts them. Rey looks around the now empty room while Ben growls low and threatening in his chest. Her omega, needs to soothe as she covers his chest protectively.
Bellava must have heard them and doesn't enter the room any further. "It's time, if you're ready of course."
"Let's get this over with, so we can begin our happily ever after?" He rumbles in her ear.
"You don't know how nice that sounds." She says. His grin is dazzling as the sun that's shining outside. one more kiss—before he takes her hand and threads it through his elbow.
Bellava's smile is approving as they exit the classroom. The music surrounds them, a fast dance techno thing that Poe must have picked out. As much as she wants to enjoy this moment, a heaviness surrounds her.
She hugs Ben's arm, and wishes they were anywhere but here.
The crowd, even though she only knows a handful of them, welcomes them with thunderous applause. At the last moment she remembers videos of brides walking in like they'd won the lottery to their receptions. She lifts her bouquet and a cheer surrounds them. Ben sweeps her into his arms and claims her lips to another roar from the thousand-person crowd.
The next several minutes are a blur as the strangers welcome them. Ben gives a thank you for coming speech, thank goodness. She didn't even realize that was going to be required of them. Then as soon as they step away from the microphone, Han replaces them.
She catches only a couple of the things he says, mostly it's thanking the guests for coming. Then, another surprise. Her own dad, Cassian replaces Han.
"Thank you all for coming to see our baby girl get married." He pauses for the audience to aww. "Except for meeting her mom, the day she came into my life is the best one. While Rey and Ben embark on this new journey, I hope she knows that everything we do, is for her and Ben. I love you my little Rey of sunshine."
She wipes the tears from her eyes as the crowd awws. And for a long, happy moment, it seems that the speeches are over—but no. Her so called grandfather slowly walks up the microphone. He looks more like a tired and worn-out dictator rather than a proud grandparent.
"Welcome, welcome," he begins. But before he can continue, several men and women stand. They move quickly as they disperse through the crowd. Immediately Rey sees that they surround Palpatine, Snoke and the men who pass through the bakery.
"As much as I hate to interrupt this party, I must arrest Sheev Palpatine on tax evasion, attempted murder, murder in the first, and laundering money among the charges. You have the right to remain silent. If you cannot afford an attorney, then one will appointed to you."
"I'm his attorney—" a man Rey has never seen before stands.
"No, you're under arrest too." A man that Rey recognizes from the hospital pulls out a set of handcuffs.
In a matter of minutes, the FBI arrests over fifty men and women who evidently work for Palpatine. Rose comes to stand beside Rey, join by Finn—Poe had to help—as the arrests were made. It's only when Hux puts the cuffs on Snoke, and Ben puts the cuffs on Palpatine that it sinks in.
Ben works for the FBI.
Suddenly, everything that she's been through over the past couple of months comes crashing in. Every word of love that he whispered to her, every touch, every kiss—a sob escapes and even with the crowd between them, Ben still looks up.
Their eyes meet even though Rose pulls her into a hug. Ben hands off Palpatine to another agent, and the crowd parts to let him through.
Rose steps aside as Ben takes her into his arms. Alpha! This might be the last time he holds us! Her omega cries, which makes her cry too.
"What happened?" he asks Rose.
"I have no idea," she answers.
"Omega— what's wrong?"
"You're going to leave me now that you got to arrest him—"
"What?"
"I was just part of the job for you—"
"I've bever said that. Rey, look at me." He waits until she manages to look up. "I love you. l mated you because I need you. I thought that's why you bit me too?"
"I adore you. I thought you knew that?" She murmurs.
"I adore you too." He wraps his arms around her and his alpha scent surrounds them. It does what it's supposed to do—calm her omega. "This—you and I was never fake or just part of the job."
"You promise?"
"Sweetheart—as soon as we get back home I plan on showing you at least ten different ways how none of this was fake." His lips meet and for a moment, it feels like they are the only two in the room. All too soon he ends the kiss. "Come on, let me introduce you to some people."
They don't have to go far when Leia calls them over. "Rey, this is my brother, Luke."
"It's nice to meet you—" she murmurs as he shakes her hand with an exuberant shake.
"I just hate that I wasn't able to come to the wedding, but with Ben still being undercover and all, he didn't need me showing up at the hospital where Palpatine's men stood guard."
"No, I guess that wouldn't have been good. Wait—what do you do?"
His only answer is a big wink. "The only thing you need to worry about is Ben's job."
"Ben's job? Is he getting a new one?"
"You could say that. Here's Lando." He waves at someone across the room.
"Lando is nicer than Uncle Luke," Ben quips.
"That's true." Luke smiles. "Here he is. Lando Calrissian, this is the newest Solo, Rey Andor."
Unexpected tears spring at the mention of her maiden name. She scents her husband's concern as Lando pulls her into a hug. She's not in his arms long before Ben pulls her back into his.
"I'm going to overlook that since you two are recently mated." Lando says with a grin. "It's nice to meet you. I hope that you help temper your alpha."
"What do you mean by that?" Ben growls.
Rey pulls him back to her side. "He's just teasing you."
"I am. Now, for business. How would you feel if your husband came to work with you?"
"In the bakery?" Rey whispers. "How—"
"He'll explain it later when it's just you two. You can choose to know about what's going on, or remain in the dark. But we do hope you will be a partner. Your country and government need you."
"Me? they need me? Is this because of Palpatine? Is that why?"
"No, it's mostly because you're a omega. And a nice one at that. Plus, you're fierce, protective and you love with all your heart. That's why we need you." His cell buzzes in his hand. He glances down, and frowns. "I have to take this. Ben, Rey, a pleasure. I'll be calling— this is Calrissian."
They wait until Lando is out of ear shot and even Luke is back helping to arrest the more reluctant prisoners. "You know, I'm not even mad," Rey says.
"Oh?" Ben asks.
"Nope. I still have you, and hopefully they are going to lock up Palpatine, Snoke and everyone else for a long time."
"They will."
"Are you hungry? There's food. A lot of food—" her voice trails off as she looks around to see how many people left after the arrests—more than half of the guests, walk out the door. "I guess we can freeze some of it. Or take it to the homeless—"
"I love you—" he whispers as he sweeps her up into his arms. "Even with all this, you're thinking of how you can help others."
"Would you like the chicken or the beef?" she asks as he starts towards the kitchens.
"Both?"
"Sounds good to me." she waits for Ben to set her down before she announces to everyone left in the room. Which looks to be the ones who came here for them, and not because Palpatine told them they had to be here and the agents. "Everyone, please come eat!"
Wow! I'm done with that one! I know, I know I was going to make it longer—but I have news. My publisher wants a series from me! Three books set around a family of three brothers and their attempt to keep the women they love save from one of their grandfathers… I know it sounds very familiar, and yes, I did that on purpose, it's not me publishing this story. And in fact, all my fanfics will stay up. I even need to repost a couple I borrowed for different anthologies.
And I need to say thank you! thank you for following, kudos, likes, comments and reading and recommending my words. That means so much to me! I adore all of you.
I hope that you had good beginning to the holiday season. I will be writing like a wild woman lol. Think happy thoughts of me when you can! And be on the lookout… I'll be posting a Christmas western reylo soon… I think you'll like it. Then there's another one I'm working on… I have to have the books ready by April, but as usual I have to have several things that I'm writing on at the same time.
But thank you again. I hope that this has been a good start of the holiday season for you, and I hope that you can find some joy in it.
