"Bet you can't wait to complain to your dear Potter. 'Oh! Harry! I have to share a common room with that ferret! How awful! He'll be horrible!' Or maybe you'll go to Weasley. I hear you're going out. I almost feel sorry for him. And the quidditch player will feel betrayed. Poor, poor Viktor."
"You will probably go to your daddy and complain about how you can't stand the stench of a mudblood! How it repels you, and you wish that you could exterminate the vermin that caused it! And me and Ron are NOT going out. He's one of my best friends! And leave my relationships out of this, because they are nothing to do with you."
You're not in this alone
Let me break this awkward silence
The Head Boy and Head Girl stood in the
middle of their large common room. She was close to tears. He acted
calm and composed, leaning against one of the cream coloured walls
whilst looking at the angry, red-faced muggle born.
"My father is in Azkaban. You
should know that from your precious Potter." He stated softly.
"Well you can get the Dark Lord,
and you can go torture some innocent muggles to let all your anger
out!"
She swore she could see him flinch, but
when he spoke his voice was still even and controlled.
"I'm not like my father."
Let me go, go on record
Be the first to say I'm sorry
"You were encouraging the Death
Eaters to attack me at the Quidditch World Cup! Saying that... that
my knickers would give everyone a good laugh! You just wanted to see
a 'mudblood' humiliated!" She spat, her cheeks flushing slightly
pink at the mention of her underwear.
Draco Malfoy snapped.
" I was trying to warn you without
Potter and Weasley ruining my reputation! I told you to keep out of
the way. I'm sorry it didn't come out nice, but my reputation is at
stake. I'm sure you know what it feels like to be unpopular."
Her eyes widened as she realised that
he was telling the complete truth. She did know what it was like to
be unpopular. People ofen seemed to hate her for knowing so much.
Hear me out
And if you take me down
Would you lay me out
And if the world needs something
better
Let's give them one more reason now,
now, now
There was silence except for Hermione
Granger's sniffs."Granger?"
No reply. Draco moved closer to her
shaking form. As he placed his hand on her shoulder, she let out a
wail.
"I'm so stupid! I'm sorry! I
should have realised that you were helping! I deserved to go get
tortured! I'm such a fool!" She carried on in this vein for a
while, stopping to draw breath. She was acting silly, she knew it,
but she couldn't stop thinking that she had misjudged him.
"We can start again."
We walk in single file
We light up rails and punch our time
Ride escalators colder than a cell
She blinked at him with tears in her
eyes"We can try and get along. I
apologise for all the hurtful things. We can at least be civilised,
if not friends. Let's start again." He proposed.
She paused, and nodded. She shook his
hand and they stood for a few seconds regarding what had just
happened.
"What happened to the stuck-up boy
we met in first year?" She laughed slightly.
Draco smiled too.
"He stayed on the train this
time."
This broken city sky, like butane on
my skin
And stolen from my eyes
Hello Angel, tell me where are you
Tell me where we go from here
