Tadano was running down the hallways of the empty school, searching not only for opportunities to escape, but also for Komi. He was not leaving here without her by his side.

"Shouko!" He cried out into the corridor, his echoes bouncing off every wall.

I doubt they will hurt her… but I must find her…

He began picking up his pace, ignoring the pain as worry and fear flowed through his veins as he dashed around the corridors…

Hito… Please be alright… Please don't be too badly hurt…

Exactly one floor above where Tadano was running, Komi was also on her way to search for her boyfriend. She was unscathed from the earlier encounters, but her heart ached as fear rose in her.

"H-Hito…!" She tried calling out, but her voice was too soft to even echo across the corridor ahead of her.

Tears started flowing into her eyes with every second that passed.

"Where could she be…?" Tadano sprinted past the classrooms, until something caught his eye. He stopped to take a closer look.

Hang on…. Aren't they…?

He saw the bodies of two girls laying on the classroom floor, clearly knocked unconscious. Furniture was strewn all over the place.

She had to have been here earlier then! But where could she have gone…?

He was running out of breath, so he stopped running and resorted to brisk walking as silently as he could.

As he walked down another row of classrooms, he saw another girl's body right outside a classroom.

So she ran by here earlier… I don't know how long ago that happened though…

He made his way around the school's winding corridors.

Oh wait, I left my stuff in class… Maybe she might be there…?

He decided to follow through with his instinct and began walking to class 3-1.

Why is it so… quiet? All the action and drama that unfolded here earlier… Now there's hardly the sound of any movement at all…

No sooner had he thought that when he heard a voice around the corner.

"Huh?!" He heard a shrill shriek, immediately deducing that it was Yamai.

"So you're telling me he settled all 4 of them?"

"I'm afraid he did, who knew the average boy Tadano had such great motor skills…" He heard another voice that sounded slightly muffled.

It must be Shinobino-kun… Wait, they're getting closer, I need to move, and right now!

Slowly, Tadano slinked away back down the corridor, going completely unnoticed by both Yamai and Shinobino.

Where could Komi be? I've walked around almost the whole school at this point…

He was now walking down another corridor towards his classroom.

One more left turn and I'll be there. I just hope Komi has her phone, so that we could use it to know each other's condition…

He had barely turned the corner when…

"Hey! He's right there, get him!"

Tadano looked up and immediately saw several members of the cult bearing down on him.

Were they camping the classroom the whole time?! Tadano immediately turned and made a dash for it.

"Hey, he looks hurt! We should be able to finish him off easily!"

I'm not going to lie, they actually might. Please, Komi… Please be nearby… He begged as he ran down the hallways of the school.

He could hear the cult members getting closer with every step he ran. He mustered all his energy to sprint even faster…

He could feel them breathing down his neck. Every classroom they ran past he felt as if they were getting closer and closer. He was running out of options.

I might have to run out of the school at this point...

He turned another corner, and the sight made his heart drop. There were more cult members running in from the other direction. His eyes darted to the hallways left and right of him, but those were also filled with members of the Church of Komi.

He had been surrounded.

No… Not like this…

The Church formed a barricade, preventing him from escaping as they closed in on him from all sides.

"You thought you had done it, didn't you, Tadano? Oh well, I'll leave these 'hungry beasts' for you to settle! Pray that your limp, dead body will be enough to satisfy them…" Yamai laughed maniacally.

"Make sure he's dead."

Immediately, Tadano felt the wall of humans around him close in. There were about 15 people in one hallway, but it was enough to make him start feeling claustrophobic.

His eyes then caught a slight gap in between one of the 'walls', and he chose that moment to make a dash for it…

"Agh!"

His attempt failed as he was sent flying back to the floor in between the many cult members.

It's my end, isn't it…?
