Tadano could still see some of the walls of the school hallways, and he quickly snatched a fire extinguisher from one of the walls before backing off into the middle of the crowd, hoping it would be of use.

He had squeezed the trigger of the fire extinguisher and immediately carbon dioxide vapour blasted itself into the faces of the cult members. He tried to spray it in every single direction, but once the vapour settled, other than causing minor irritations to the members of the cult, it was clear that carbon dioxide vapour was of no use in a long-term battle

Well, that plan sounded better in my head.

The Church was closing in now, he had to make his move.

He grabbed the fire extinguisher by its neck and swung it with all his might into as many of the cult members as he could, before one of them pushed the end of the heavy item and Tadano fell backwards on the floor, fire extinguisher rolling out of his grasp.

He quickly got back on his feet and the first thing he saw was the brass knuckles of one of the members…

"Gah!" He quickly dodged the sudden attack while attempting to return with some of his own firepower. But it was not going to work, there were just too many of them, and they began closing in even more.

No, please… I don't want to die yet… His eyes stung with tears as he sent a punch that connected with a jaw.

I haven't gotten to marry Shouko… He sent a straight kick that connected with a stomach.

I'm still too young… An uppercut sent another person off their feet to the floor.

I love you… so, so much… Shouko… A punch slammed into a nose bridge.

Shouko ran down the corridor, the sounds of a bloody fight getting louder as she got closer.

Her eyes filled with tears as she rounded the corner. Her boyfriend was caught in the middle of a large group of cult members.

At that moment, Tadano's eyes diverted from his fight and met Komi's. They exchanged a very brief but emotional look that said it all.

Please… don't be too sad when I…

"Oi, Tadano! Who said you could go on a killing spree without inviting me?"

All eyes diverted down the corridor.

"Also, I brought some people along just in case you needed them," Najimi dashed into the scene, and behind him/her, were at least 15 of his friends or previous classmates. Tadano could make lots of familiar faces that he couldn't remember clearly due to the heat of the moment. Komi stared in awe and surprise too, as the cult members began to clash with her friends.

"Hey, Tadano, thanks for the overchill raid!" Najimi cried out as he/she struck down one of the cult members with an umbrella.

"Do you really need to bring that up?" Tadano cried out, cringing to himself, but also thankful that Najimi had brought in some help at the best time possible.

Katai took a moment to get used to the situation, before striking a blow which sent a cult member flying down the corridor.

Isagi grabbed her piko hammer and began whacking every single Church member in her sight while yelling: "You. Cursed. Vile. Demons!" with every strike of the hammer.

Manbagi attempted to land a heavy punch on one of the cult members which missed, and almost resulted in her being sent to the floor if Tadano didn't swoop in and save her.

"Oh jeez, thanks Tadano-kun…"

"Maybe you shouldn't have joined in if you weren't ready to fight…"

"Hey, what are you and Shouko doing? Get out of here, pronto!"

Tadano glanced at Komi, who was about to get surrounded by Church members intending to use her as hostage.

"Hey! Don't you dare get anywhere near-"

A loud slam, followed by shouts of shock, interrupted the brawl. One of the Church members had swung a broken pipe right into the side of Tadano's head as he crumpled against the wall he was hit into.

Slowly, the Church members moved in closer to Komi. She was trapped herself, with almost no way out…

"Thought I was knocked out?" Tadano had quickly returned to his feet, snatching the pipe and he swung it like a baseball bat at the first person he saw, causing him to drop to the floor.

Immediately Tadano seized the opportunity, and dashed in to grab Komi's hand, who was still shivering from fright.

"Come on, Shouko! We need to get out of here!" He shouted while swinging the pipe at another cult member.

He felt her hand close in tightly around his, and they began sprinting down the corridor, past all the action and out of the school.

They were safe now, thankfully.
