Teen Titans – New Divides; Universal War – Finale - Chapter 5: Staying Alive

Raku's spasmodic episode didn't scare John C; he knew about the runt's powers just by eyeing him a few feet back. Aiden however, seemed to care less. Something about that blonde son worried poor Johnny as he held out a hand.

" Who are you carrying???" He shot at the chosen, who's eyes grew frustrated, slimmer.

"You found me, but I'd rather remain from your smaller victories, sorcerer…" The voice was lower, even so…it was confident. Aiden had been overshadowed, but not by any daemon.

Aiden's voice, with another's words. Not Ignito, as he was shooed off by this possessive relic to rest back within Raku, quieting the djinn boy's tantrum with a wave of his pixie dust effect.

The new eyes that Aiden cast across the hall had John stare. A green - eyed set of one. No longer hazel as the boy's had been while in his sights.

John's vision closed in around him; he recognized the aura too well to forget her glance. Cocking his head, he chuckled, making her host's eyes become icier for other reasons.

"Hello, Athena…. Have you had your, blood pudding this morning, lov?"

/

"Hah, John Constantine…I've heard about plenty from my spies on your plane. Did it strike you as odd…Had you been waiting to see my armies raze your cities to dust?"

Unconscious, it was a good thing that Raku wasn't hearing any of it. John cleared his throat. Aiden's voice with Athena's threats was never a sign Johnny had wanted to witness. He'd have to cull her diseased talk for now, being inflicted by Liliu's malice after all. The longer she stuck around Aiden's body, the greater a chance that the chosen could become tainted – same as Raku. Lil's prophecy had to die with her unfortunate followers. Athena just wanted to rule, but that wasn't how he saw it at all. She was a living peak of envy. At whom, you might ask?

Therein lay the biggest mystery, and the easiest one to crack.

Aiden's possessed grin made John wary. As long as they didn –

"I am here to leave a message "through" my chosen relic. He gathers the light of the sun, yet someone has deliberately sealed his magic from my eyes alone... If that "troll" Ignito had not detested my presence for so long, your pupil might have let me in to destroy his mind long ago…" She spoke airily, making John swallow with a lump in his throat the size of a large, glacial fjord.

"Heh, a goddess of the wisest minds ever fathomed?" He wondered aloud to she, "You are a bully, my dear. I don't trust you to keep up your part of any bargain; just call off the battalions you claim to have, tell em' this isn't a war for anyone to finish." He demanded, requesting her cooperation but…Athena was as stubborn as her father. A real damned soldier, not likely to spare the rod.

"I won't leave until you hear what I HAVE YET TO SPAKE." Aiden's eyes grew hotter as he levitated upwards by his possession. Starfire's bolts could have been the reason why his sun magic was showing up now. That transformation unbeknownst to his parents, it was no reason to celebrate.

"MY WARRIORS HAVE FOUND A MEANINGFUL PART TO PLAY – THE GODLESS HEROES OF EARTH WILL BOW BEFORE MY DEJECTED KIN, AND WE SHALL TAKE THE SPARK OF LIFE THAT TOOK OUR WORLD – THAT TORE IT FROM THE PAGES OF A LORE; LONG FORGOTTEN…. THAT !" The possessed Aiden pointed at a sleeping Raku's furrowed brows, as his ally stayed cradled within John's protective arms. "IS WHAT MUST VANISH FROM ALL OF SPACE, ALL OF TIME, AND ALL OF EXISTENCE IF WE ARE EVER TO RISE AS THE TRUE RULERS OF ALL WORLDS…FOR WE BUILT MAN'S MIND. WE CRAFTED HIS ILLUSION; HIS WANT FOR PEACE AND WAR…. WHAT WE DESERVE TO OWN, WE SHALL CLAIM UPON THE BATTLEFIELD!"

Constantine built up a magical force-field; a shield and spoke mixed words from the older tomes' dusted pages that he could recall from memory. He had to stop the overshadowing warrior before Aiden…Dickie would cook his goose for this. "I still think you're just angry at the kid for being born, for messing up your unfounded utopia. Is ole' Kaien the spy? Word was out long before you stepped into the picture, trust me." Sniffed the wizarding bad ass.

"I do…but yet...Can your allies trust what has already transpired?" The blonde half alien came to standing again, his eyes shut slowly as she left him in a heap. Aiden flopped with a whimper to his knees, his shaking palms being the one thing that kept him from falling face first into the floor's longest rug.

"Is she gone, lad?" Aiden looked up, but John's face was already a distant blur while sleep finally took him from that lamp – lit world. Aiden, was a part of this war. She wanted…. him to kill Raku…? Was that all true? Were they fated to always be enemies??

Ami's eyes lit from across those same waters, as she turned to Shoji with her heart not there. Kaede rushed over but was forced back by a casting from some far – away force. A powerful one, while Haru stalked around to find an opening before this possessor spoke with Ami's voice, yet in its own words.

~ HARK! THE FIRE – BIRD WAITS AMONG THEM…. THE ARCHIVE MUST BE OPENED – TIME WILL REMAIN ANDD ALL AGES PAST SHALL RETURN TO THE VOID….SO SPAKETH THE REFLECTION…. THE GODS OF INNER KNOWING... ~

Ami gripped her skull as the presence left, never to explain its deeds. Haru gasped as her hybrid ears twitched. Kaede sniffed Ami's arm as a fox before settling for climbing into the girl's arms to heal her. Whimpering that, things…had just gotten rocky all over again, Ami began to weep. Shoji grabbed some tissues and stayed by her. This was serious. He'd contact his shadow sided folk in the morning. After all, Greg was safe to say still standing by Isa. As long as those two didn't give the Solaris sect anymore juice, the rest was safe. For now, including his inexperienced charge.

The mysterious spectator brought down his hands and sighed deeply at the floor. All white, and no sooner would he be allowed to leave his cell a more fortuitous event to participate in. ~ I'm coming to destroy your false paradise, insect – godless one…~ The spell casting self was more than icy cold to its foes, it had found a reason to force reason unto others through actions. After being bullied and having had its realm a memory of what no longer was, this character, this teenager in face but not mind was done. He would finally have a chance…

The light hair and eyed being slipped a band round his long tail. Smiling, he'd get to seek out the one who'd left him to starve for an eternity.

Finally, he had an excuse to get even…

The defaced Ethereal prince, Hakuro grinned up at his dead palace of light and soon the void broke; a guard beckoned him to follow, and so he did. (So, to recap, Rokuro (the son) was forced to call out to Hakuro (a mirror self from the ethereal realm where A' is from) but Roku (the king) ended up tormenting them both and sealed Hakuro into merge the "self" of light with Rokuro (the son's) other selves, trapping him and destroying the Ethereal realm in the process. A never came after him, ad it was as if he was just another sacrifice – when Dick Grayson (Robin) freed the self, he also cursed it and tried to free Rokuro's darker sides which pissed off Hakuro since he's a being of light and order. He was blinded physically because of the dragon lord and even once was bonded to the son emotionally to protect him before Roku (the king) ruined everything. When Hakuro came back, everyone thought he was a light aspect of Rokuro, but he was actually himself – just forced to take part for Roku (the king's) sake. Lori had the ability to summon the Ethereal realm so Rokuro (the son) also had this power that Roku wanted to get back at A for rejecting his wish to become a true god. Long story short, Hakuro hates even Raku because despite Lil's turning of his soul, he was still Roku. The mad dragon who ruined his friendship with the real Rokuro (the son.) Due too Aiden's golden light being his job to cap, he's been convinced to let it out but not to help Aiden. To control him so that Hakuro's current sect of the Celestial realm can control and win their war by the golden dawn's fire. Will Athena go to such lengths as to turn Aiden against his allies?

Also! John reads up on his targets as well as Slade. He knows that Athena in the myth Raku is from is her enemy because of his affiliation with Lilith. Azag was an outcast to her kind who was no more than ridiculed for having been tainted for salvaging man's hope through death and rebirth. He kept records, but also intervene which was why he was always faceless as Dreamwake. He use to be Tamuz in a past era while Lilith was Ishtar then, his mother who killed him and also made love to him in another form. Very effed up. Anyway, order to Athena is her religion, but she was affected by Lilith's curse in Against all odds arc. That was no prophecy, it was meant to affect the many factions if it had not before, activating her curse onto the council to go to war. It was a long process, even Ava's realm was affected back in New Destinations new gen arc. She was thankfully protected since her realm is governed by snow and winter. Thus, lunar magic. Anyone realm lie the Celestial and half of the Eternal belong to Athena's solar cause. Even Lady Aluehainyu took to the talk of peace and rebirth since she hates Raku, period for killing Lord Destiny (Eternal tomorrow arc and so on.) She is the reincarnate or incarnation of Erishkigal – the same goddess who tormented Ishtar from the underworld and let go of Tamuz with the condition that he would come to her every winter to stay until spring. Greg is on their side because he's loyal to the power sources and chosen. He's also an ally of Isa or Isis, but what about the others? Is Aria on their side? She'd be a Celestial or even Ron? Contrary to, they are not as sheeple as you think. Many of the guardians do just that – they protect humanity so destroying it makes zero sense. Only the relics like Hades (who is a war loving ass) and Sayu are on the side of the sun relics. Seeing as they both? Hate Raku and humanity. But, Kaien besides, was that the only spy Athena had to find the chosen children? Find out! Chapter six. This is only the start of a long battle to come.
