Chapter 33
Leonard parked his car on a vacant slot of the Disneyland parking lot. Penny held Sarah's hand as they made their way to the entrance where the guys were already waiting for them. Leonard took a small backpack on his shoulder containing their stuff – a change of clothes, a spare inhaler, some medicines and other stuff that Penny put in it. They reached the gate where some of the visitors were already lining up to enter the park.
They made their way through the gate and went directly to the princess makeover booth to get their hair and makeups done. Raj's phone beeped. He looked around and saw his lady friend Lucy at a distance waving at him.
"Dude, I have to go. Lucy is right over there...I'll try and convince her if we can join you later." said Raj.
"No problem Raj. Just give us a call so you two can catch up with us." said Leonard.
The three of them continued walking around while waiting for the ladies to finish their princess makeover. After about an hour of walking around, Leonard received a text from Penny that they were done so they went to pick them up. Leonard's and Howard's jaw immediately dropped when they saw how beautiful their girlfriends are.
"Well?….how do we look?" asked Penny.
"You both look amazing!" Leonard said kissing both his girls on the cheek.
"Look daddy…they even gave me a bow and arrow!" said Sarah.
"That's great honey…you look so pretty!" he said to his daughter. He then leaned over to Penny and whispered in her ear. "You….will not remove your dress until we reach home...you got that?" he said looking her straight in the eye while she stared at him slightly surprised.
Penny sighed. "Fine." she whispered, slightly amused by her boyfriend's sudden enthusiasm.
Howard pulled Bernadette close. "You look beautiful Bernie!" he said kissing her cheek.
"Thank you Howie! I'm glad you liked it." said Bernadette.
They then looked at Sheldon, expecting them to compliment Amy. "Sheldon, aren't you gonna say something to Amy?" Bernadette asked.
"She's right Sheldon. Doesn't Amy look hot?" said Penny as Amy looked at Sheldon waiting for his response.
Sheldon looked at Amy and became a little agitated. "I'm sorry but I can't do this!" he said turning around then quickly walking away. They all sighed and hung their heads as Amy looked around.
"Uh what just happened?" Amy asked Leonard and Penny.
"Don't worry, I'll go and talk to him." said Leonard walking after his best friend. Leonard was a few feet from Sheldon when he called his name. "Sheldon wait up." he said. Sheldon stopped as Leonard went to face him. "Hey buddy, wanna tell me what's going on?" asked Leonard.
"Leonard I don't think I can do this." Sheldon said.
"Do what?" said Leonard.
"This. Going with Amy." Sheldon said.
"What are you talking about? They just asked you if you thought Amy looked nice!" Leonard said.
"I know, but what if she expects more?" asked Sheldon.
"Okay Sheldon, I know this is change and it scares you. But this is the sort of stuff that you and Amy have to figure out on your own." said Leonard. "Do you like Amy?" he asked.
"I don't dislike her." Sheldon said.
"Okay fine. That's close enough. How about this, we'll all go together inside the park so you and Amy won't have any awkward moments alone, alright?" said Leonard.
"Alright. Do you think I should give her a compliment?" said Sheldon.
"Well, do you think she looks pretty?" asked Leonard.
Sheldon nodded. "I do." said Sheldon.
Leonard smiled. "Then you tell her that. I'm sure she'll appreciate it." said Leonard, tapping Sheldon's shoulder.
"Okay. What else do you think I should do?" asked Sheldon.
"Do what feels natural Sheldon. Ask her how she's doing and if she's having fun, that sort of stuff." Leonard said shrugging his shoulders.
Sheldon nodded. "Alright. I'll keep that in mind." he said.
"Come on Sheldon, let's go back." said Leonard as they walked back to the gang looking at them. Sheldon faced Amy and spoke. "I'm sorry for that." he said. "You look really nice Amy." he said.
Amy blushed at Sheldon's compliment. "Thank you Sheldon." said Amy as Penny and Bernadette looked at each other smiling.
Penny leaned over to Leonard's ear. "Good job honey." she said kissing his cheek.
"Alright guys! Let's go right in!" Leonard announced as the whole gang cheered.
Sarah pulled her father's hand. "Daddy, let's take a picture with Mickey and Minnie!" said the child.
"Of course honey!" he said as they followed the child to have their picture taken with the mascots.
They fell in line with the other people waiting their turn to have their picture taken with the mascots. Leonard saw that Sheldon was a little nervous as he talked with Amy. "Sheldon is everything alright?" asked Leonard.
Amy decided to speak. "I wanted to take a picture with Goofy and Pluto but he says he doesn't want to. I asked him why but he won't tell me." said Amy.
"Oh yeah about that, just don't let him near Goofy. But he's perfectly fine with Pluto." said Leonard.
"Why?" Penny asked.
"I'm sorry but Goofy gives me nightmares." Sheldon said.
Sarah laughed. "You're irrationally funny uncle Sheldon!" said the child.
Leonard smiled at his daughter. "He's not irrational, he's quirky!" he added.
Sarah laughed more. "Goofy and Pluto are both dogs uncle Sheldon! If you're afraid of Goofy which is a dog, then by the equivalence relation, you should be scared of Pluto as well!" Sarah said laughing, making the whole gang laugh with her.
Leonard turned to Sheldon and gave him a smug smile. "See that Sheldon? My daughter just disproved your quirkiness with math!" he said.
Penny knelt down and kissed Sarah's cheek. "Good job sweetie!" she said.
Amy looked at Sheldon. "Well Sheldon?" she said.
Sheldon sighed. "Fine. Just don't let him near me or else I'll scream and run away." he said.
"Sure." Amy said looking at Penny and Bernadette while Leonard, Howard and Sarah looked in amusement.
Sarah was so excited when their turn came to take the picture with Mickey and Minnie Mouse. The three of them displayed big smiles as they did different poses with the mascots. Sarah took solo shots with them as did Penny and Leonard. Sarah then asked her father to take a picture with Penny alone. Penny not wanting to kill the mood, planted a big kiss on Leonard's cheek as the picture was being taken with him displaying the biggest smile for the camera. Howard and Bernadette posed with the mascots next, doing wacky poses for the picture. They also pulled Sarah to join them in the picture. Sheldon and Amy was last, with Sheldon awkwardly posing and Amy trying her best to look good in the photo.
The gang went on their way to the different rides and attractions in the park as Sarah held on to Penny's and Leonard's hands. Leonard made sure that they visit all the attractions that allow children of Sarah's height in. They they went to the Star Wars attractions, Toy Story, the Jungle Cruise, Monsters Inc., Haunted Mansion, Marvel Avengers attractions, Frozen Encounters and King Arthur Carousel. She insisted to ride the King Arthur Carousel alone without Leonard or Penny supporting her making Leonard a little nervous.
"Daddy I can ride on my own now…don't worry!" Sarah said.
"Alright but Penny and I will ride beside you." he said.
Sarah nodded. "Okay daddy…don't worry I will hold on tight." the child said.
"Honey it's gonna be fine." said Penny reassuring Leonard.
Lunch came and they ate at the Character Dining where other kids dressed as all sorts of Disney characters were eating with their parents.
"Sweetie are you having fun?" Penny asked as they ate their lunch.
"I am! Thank you daddy!" said Sarah.
"You're welcome honey…..you should thank Penny too…this was her idea!" said Leonard.
Sarah went to Penny and hugged her. "Thank you Penny!" said Sarah kissing Penny on the cheek.
"Awww...you're welcome sweetie….I'm glad you're having fun!" said Penny obviously touched by the child's affection.
After lunch, they watched the Disney parade to see all the Disney characters and floats entertain the crowd lining the street. Leonard happened to find a good spot where he placed his daughter on a raised platform so she could watch the parade without anyone blocking her view.
"Daddy look it's Elsa and Anna!…and Olaf!" she squealed with delight as Leonard and Penny looks on. "Penny look!….it's Sleeping Beauty!" she said pointing at another float.
"Yes sweetie. Just be careful alright!?" Penny said.
Sarah was laughing and giggling as one float after another passed in front of them while she called and waved at the characters on them. Sarah would then scream when the characters on the float would wave back at her.
"Look at her honey….she's so happy!" Penny said as she held onto Leonard's arm.
"I know…thank you honey!" he said.
Penny kissed his cheek. "You're welcome honey." she said as she rested her head on his shoulder.
Howard and Bernadette were also watching the parade, looking at the three having a great time.
"Look at them Howie, they're so happy together." Bernadette said holding on to Howard's arm.
"Leonard is one lucky guy." he said as he held Bernadette's hand and kissing her on the cheek.
"Penny's lucky too. I mean, Leonard's really a great guy." she said.
"Yeah. Do you think they're already talking about getting married?" asked Howard.
"I don't know. Penny haven't mentioned anything to me yet." she said.
"I just hope they don't screw it up. I mean, just look at how happy that kid is right now. She deserves a complete family." he said.
"You're right Howie." Bernadette said.
"Don't get me wrong, Leonard did great at raising Sarah but no one can replace a mother's love." said Howard.
"Yeah and did you notice how Sarah acts when Penny is around?" asked Bernadette.
"Yeah? How?" asked Howard.
"Didn't you notice the other night when we first met Amy? Amy told Sarah that it's okay if she calls her aunt Amy and then Sarah looked at Penny like she is waiting for her permission. I mean, a child only does that if she already sees the adult as someone she trusts." said Bernadette.
"You're right, now I remember." said Howard. "Do you think Penny is ready for that?" he asked.
"I don't know. Maybe. I mean, if she isn't then she could have broken up with Leonard a long time ago." she said as she rested her head oh Howard's shoulder while watching the parade.
They continued visiting all the attractions, taking tons of selfies and exploring all the different sights and sounds Disneyland has to offer. It's a good thing that there were a lot of places to eat around the park so they won't run out of energy. Leonard let Penny and his daughter pig out with almost every junk food they saw – pop corn, cheerios, ice cream, candies, Twizzlers, hot dogs and sodas.
They ended their Disneyland trip watching the fireworks over the castle. Sarah was jumping and laughing as every firework display lit up the night sky over the castle spires and towers. Penny was sitting on the lawn leaning her head on Leonard's shoulder as they look at Sarah enjoy the last moments of their visit. By the time they left the park, Sarah was already asleep on the backseat.
They reached home after an hour with Leonard carrying his daughter in his arms while Penny took care of their souvenirs from the park. Leonard went straight to his daughter's bedroom and put her on the bed, taking off her shoes and loosening her dress. Sarah stirred a little as Leonard tucked her in and kissed her forehead while Penny put the souvenirs on the floor of her bedroom. Leonard then grabbed Penny's hand and led her straight to his bedroom.
"What are you doing?" asked Penny as Leonard locked his bedroom door.
"Shhhh...we have to be quiet." he whispered as he started to remove Penny's fake tiara and loosen her princess dress.
Penny resisted initially. "Honey…I'm tired." she pleaded.
"Don't worry honey…just relax…this may be my first and last time to have sex with a princess." he said looking at her passionately.
Penny gave him a weak smile and let Leonard have his way with her. She was amused and charmed with Leonard's enthusiasm as he finally freed the dress from her body. Leonard pulled her close and kissed her passionately while his hands explore Penny's body to remove the remainder of her clothing as she started to do the same to him. Once they were naked, the couple jumped on the bed and made love under the covers.
Leonard shook his inhaler and took a puff as Penny rested on his shoulder.
"Thank you honey." he said as he played with her hair.
"You were so into it." she said looking up to him.
"I know. I thought this day would never come but I'm glad it did." he said smiling.
"Well, you deserve it. You really did good today especially with Sheldon." said Penny.
"He came with the manual that's why Howard, Raj and I know how to push his buttons." said Leonard. "I think he's starting to have some feelings towards Amy." he said.
Penny turned and looked at him. "Really?" she asked smiling.
"Yeah. I mean I've never seen him this distressed about a girl before." said Leonard.
"Are you saying that Sheldon may have feelings for Amy?" she asked.
"I guess so. But it's hard to tell exactly. Did Amy say something to you and Bernadette?" he said.
"We told her that if she waited for Sheldon to make the move, she could be waiting for a long time." she said.
"And what did Amy said?" Leonard asked.
"Well, she said that she could perform an experiment on Sheldon to increase his feelings for her. We warned her that if Sheldon saw through that, he will just run away." said Penny.
"Good luck to her." said Leonard.
Penny tightened her hug and kissed Leonard goodnight. "Let's get some sleep." she said.
Leonard kissed her back. "Good night honey." he said closing his eyes, going to sleep.
